I considered buying the subscription for the art history lesson since I thought this was an easy way to expand my knowledge. Nope. I am unhappy to say I learned a lot of non-facts about Vincent Van Gogh and I question what other non-facts I learned about other artists. This app is disrespectful towards historical figures. Van Gogh’s passing is an extremely controversial topic and this app paints a certain type of narrative that I fell for until I watched the movie Loving Vincent. Van Gogh’s passing is a complicated subject matter and should be handled with more respect. Instead of baseless opinions, only the facts should be mentioned. Would have gladly bought the subscription if the developers had a content plan in place but there is no promise for the lessons to be added. The existing lessons cover as little as 4 art styles and a few painters. The composition and perspective pieces were really good but there is much more in this domain which was not covered. I disagree with the reviewers who complain about the information being too brief and basic - for me it was more important to get the canvas than being buried under a plethora of details. There are a lot of free apps where you can read about a select topic in depth. ✓ I love Nibble… butI love this app! I am a huge art history nerd and it’s really helping jog my memory on a lot of details I’d forgotten. This being said I really wish the lessons were a bit more comprehensive. I know it’s supposed to be a nibble of information, but I would love to be able to click on the name of an artist and be brought to a page that shows their art and give a brief biography. Seeing the names of several artists under a movement won’t help me commit them to memory, but being able to click on them to read more would. Also, it would be awesome if I could select key words to get a more specific definition. So it would be a nibble, with the option to delve a little deeper..Version: 3.11.0

Secondly, during the setup process, after choosing a plan, it goes from (hit this button to) “Continue” (or “Next” or similar) to the button suddenly adding a paid feature. If you’re not super careful, you’re liable to end up getting charged another $20-$40 for “add-ons” you don’t want, with NO confirmation or, “Add this feature?,” check before it charges you, and it’s “not their policy” to refund “purchases made on our website.” It was via the app, not the website, but who’s counting? I paid for three months and that’s fine (but had to contact paypal to get the other *way too easy to hit by mistake* charge back for a feature I didn’t want). I’m going to use it. The first section I did was interesting. But it is very unlikely that I’ll renew. Things with this app are just a little too shady and suspicious; Bait and switch. For example, in the beginning quiz to find my interests I said I was interested in Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, Israel, multiple ancient civilizations. In the history category, it gave me a decent amount on Egypt, like 5 Greece lessons (none of the gods or anything though) and 3 Rome lessons and nothing else. I have been trying to communicate with their support team, and they take forever to respond and don’t actually read what you say. In my message I provided this feedback (inability to see all lessons) and also asked how to see said lessons, and they basically just said thanks for the feedback let us know if you have any more questions without answering my question (and have still not responded when I asked again). ✓ Bad subscription 💔Only tried for two days and the subscription rolls over and charged me 2 months. I forgot and only realized until I saw the bank statement. There was some reminder thing offered to remind you when you start sub iirc but they were never useful. It was then very hard to cancel subscription cause it's not built in to the app, and I had to log in to the website to cancel it. And there was no way to get back the recent 1-month sub. Though I contacted 4 days after the charge is applied, support only emailed back after another 2 months, saying past transactions are non-refundable and you should cancel 24 hrs before the charge was processed. Welp. I never knew the sub is still ongoing until I saw my bank statement. What a shame. Bigger companies would cancel it for me within like 15 days after the charge is applied.
