✓ Horrible app! Don’t waste your timeIt takes 15 minutes to fill out a bunch of useless questionnaires. Then you don’t get the option to search for profiles. The app is supposed to give you daily matches. It’s the biggest waste of time to setup an account. Use the other apps that give you the power to search profiles by yourself. ✓ Full of predatorsDO NOT USE THIS SITE, I suspect the whole site is just for catfishing! This dating online platform is FULL of sharks, catfishers who will troll you from the moment you enter to the moment you delete your profile. I had four solid catfishing episodes while on the site for five days! The developers were quick to respond I passed the three day refund window but so suspiciously slow to respond to the specific complaint I had of a profile that was 100% fake (they were using pictures of a famous person, easy to verify in 2 seconds). Took the site a full week to ask me for more info, they asked me for screenshots of their user, the user profile name wasn’t enough for them to locate?!?! DO NOT USE THIS SITE, I suspect the whole site is just for catfishing!.Version: 1.8.0
✓ Well oiled garbageThis app is pretty useless and possibly dangerous. The uselessness of getting matched with people from places impossible to get to without a car and a annoying. So many fake accounts. So many unfinished profiles with little information. So many notifications that lead to nowhere. I asked for a PARTIAL refund and they told me there was a three day limit to refunds, but I can’t find that written anywhere in the app. If you happen to find a real person good luck. I’m in a huge city and the closest radius selection is 50 miles. Nobody where I live wants to travel more than an hour for a date. That’s just stupid. Furthermore if others have their distance preference set to farther away then still match with you so you get matched from over 1000 miles away. Fishy. Catfishy. ✓ My two months experience on this siteI was looking forward to join this site because of the reputation of security screening and safety as well as for the focus on mature dating. The members are of different variety snd walks of life which I welcome although slightly less educated than what I expected. But that is minimal. Regarding the daily selections: 1. I am 70 looking for ladies between the age of 58-74. The list of women profiles I receive are about 60-70% older than me! Not a big deal if in good shape. I am not in a perfect shape either but at times I wondered whether SS is sending me older women profiles mostly because these have a smaller pool of men to chose from. But it is not even an even distribution. 2. The members selected for me are thought of for they match my socially conservative life style , but I wonder whether SS thinks that this the single reference in picking women for me. Regarding SS and staff or some staff biases: I believe there is sociocultural and political biases both regarding life style and gender. I responded to one of the questions in my profile stating that I am an orthodox Christian and I cannot marry a woman who has been married twice not could I if I were married twice. This was not intended to disrespect or put down or even reject or judge any woman. If were Catholic I would have been more restrictive and said that I would not marry Any divorced or previously married woman unless the spouse would have died or the marriage annulled. It is a religious fact of each person’s denomination and it aimed to save each person’s time and effort, at our senior age,m. However, SS rejected my statement. Which is contrary to they belief is discriminatory. It is not only biased against religious or conservative believes but also it is gender bias. Why? We’ll just a few days after being rejected I receive a profile of a woman and in that profile She wrote ‘ you need to tell me how many times you have been married’ I did not read it with any annoyance or surprise. It is an important matter to get. But what annoyed me is that her statement was Not rejected while mine was!!! Please explain. This is why I wrote above ‘bias by certain staff. For I want to believe that different staff read things differently rather than a gender bias phenomenon. 4. Regarding security: I am quickly learning that when a member’s first message is I prefer to speak privately give me your phone number or email. Or a statement saying, fir how long have you been on this dating site? This person is most likely a scammer for I do give my phone number and never heard from that person beyond the first message. The problem here is not just the scammer but also SS. For I wrote a complaint about a member but SS did not even bother to send me an automatic e mail stating that my complaint was received and of course no action. Because of that I added in my profile that the person who asks for a phone number or e mail first will need to provide ‘miné or her number first. Result SS rejected my statement. Three days ago, I received a message asking me for my phone number or e mail. I copied and pasted my rejected statement that I just mentioned. Within 5 seconds that person ‘barbie’’ from Indiana removed his/her profile or at least was not showing on my web page anymore. Conclusion, I am ‘ver’ disappointed with SS. However, I subscribed for the year and continuously checking the profiles I receive. I am not giving up. However, my expectations are not great and I would not recommend SS to others at this time. Also there's no way to video chat or call within the app which is important when you don't want to give out your personal number. You should also be able to sort your matches from highest to lowest and you should be able to see their profile in the section where you're supposed to flip through and like people. You can't see any of the information from there and you also can't move forward until you rate that person.... you should be able to skip them. I also don't like that it tells the other person who saw their profile so you feel like you don't want to look at someone's profile twice because you don't want them to think you're a stalker or something lol.
