✓ Still a lovely Christmas advent app, good valueI have this calendar every year, since the first London one, and there’s always something new. Some years I like better than others (this year is not my favourite, I prefer villages with ordinary people and no servants!) but it’s still pretty. The wildlife spotting each day and the artwork is a nice new departure. The calendar ‘opens’ well before the 1st December, so you can decorate the tree and play a few games - I reckon £7 (same as a coffee and a sandwich on the High Street) is reasonable for 25 days of activity, a range of games etc. It’s a bit more twee this year, but that’s the style. I’d buy it for the bauble crush game alone! I’m hoping for fewer teddy videos and a town setting next year, but I’ll be buying it again, no doubt..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Not as goodThis is the third advent calendar I have purchased. It’s nice but not as good as last year’s - thank goodness that could be reset so I could do it again. There are glitches in two of the games which I have found frustrating. Will buy next year but would like to see newer games please.Version: 1.1.3

✓ Warming to itI so loved last year’s Advent calendar, and I was excited for this year’s. The first few days I was sad, as it didn’t seem to live up to last year’s. But as the month went on,I warmed to it —to the point that I am really sad that Advent has now ended. By the end, I would place this right up there with last year’s. ✓ One of the best!I’m 17 now and I’ve loved the Jacquie Lawson Advent calendar since I was little and my adoptive nonna gifted it to us every year! Since she couldn’t see us it was her way of being with us through December. The games are so fun, and now nostalgic, to play. My favorite is still decorating cookies! The animations are super cute and the music is nice to listen to, it definitely adds to the experience :) I hope everyone can find some winter joy out of it! ✓ Expensive, but 1000% worth it!$8 is a bit steep for an advent calendar app, but what you get definitely justifies that price tag! This is one of the most beautiful and well thought out apps I’ve ever seen in the App Store. It’s easy to see that an insane amount of effort was put into it: for the art, the music, the mini games, the level of customization, the history, and so on. There’s so much to do and it really helps me put aside the concerns of the day and get into the Christmas spirit for as long as I’m using the app. This app is in another stratosphere compared to the other advent calendar apps on the App Store. ✓ Wonderful app!Beautiful graphics and music, fun games and this is before the actual advent calendar even begins. Very relaxing experience playing this. I was a little nervous downloading to my iPad and buying the paid version after reading reviews of it not working, but I have experienced no issues. ✓ Lovely but slight bugLovely app working well mostly, appreciate being able to zoom in to find the animals. The theme is nice although I think I preferred the slightly more rustic feel of last year (2022). Slight bug with the solitaire game, when playing with 2 suits it doesn’t let me move groups of cards. Fine with single suit. Really love the tradition of having this every year though..Version: 1.1.1
✓ LOVE JLI’ve used Jacquie Lawson cards for many years and they just keep getting better and better! My friends really enjoy them as much as I enjoy sending them. ✓ Still love it but…..I still love this particular brand of advent calendar but when advertises what we can do based based on illustrations & doesn’t deliver its a bit dishonest for example today it shows we can design our own tapestry and we look to see how it works and it doesn’t deliver the promise that we can create own that’s as it shows in the illustration on the website that’s definitely misleading although the app is beautifully Illustrated it is a bit disappointing in conclusion make that promise that the app will do as implied regardless of the device we use.Version: 1.1.3

✓ Marble game not working.I’m doing exactly what the instructions are saying, I.e. tapping a marble and move it over a next marble (diagonally only)….except, the moved-over marble is not removed from the board. Help, please..Version: 1.1.1
✓ 2023 Advent Calendar was a delight (eventually)The 2023 advent calendar ended up being a delight (loved that all the original games were included along with many new ones!). Unfortunately the ‘slow reveal’ technique used this year made the outdoor scenes feel two dimensional and uninviting for the first half of the month. The house windows were all dark and there was no cute village to stroll through and re-decorate. The sitting room held all the action, and each day a new gift provided more fun and games. By the end it was a blast, but it was a shame to have to wait half the season to really enjoy the beauty of the outdoor scenes..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Nice enoughI know it's early days but so far I find this year's advent calendar a bit disappointing. It's nice enough but it doesn't compare to last year's, which I'd have rated 5 stars+ The street scene calendars have so much more going on - more to see and more interactive elements right there. Not only I, but those I sent that one to or who purchased their own, and my 2 little great granddaughters, loved last year's. The snowmen to dress, snowballs to throw and other treats, were right out there in the streets, among the buildings. Just opening the app provided a cheery, colourful scene: a festive exterior. I have purchased the advent calendar every year, and this is only the second one that hasn't really delighted me right from first opening. ✓ Wonderful Advent CalendarThis is lovely advent calendar for all ages. Some games or activities need a little more skill and time to do them properly but really anyone can do it. This app is visually very appealing and almost puts you at peace when interacting with it. I enjoy it every year. Some may enjoy certain years more than others but the fact that they create a brand new world every year is a good thing and keeps you coming back. My 7 year old boy enjoys this app and I make him turn the music up when he is playing on it. It’s the only app he plays on that I LOVE the music. So cheery yet tranquil..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Edwardian CalendarWhen I logged on to this app, I thought there would be more stuff to see than an ancient building so scrolled down the street and saw only a couple walking by which made me a bit sad because you spend Christmas with the family I scrolled back down the street and saw nothing it was not like the Sussex one that was better as you could see the elves and tap them so they danced that’s what I think this is missing out on and that’s why I’m giving it a four star rating 😐🙄😯.Version: 1.1.1

✓ The kitties and dog are back!I just downloaded in the 2023 Edwardian Advent calendar. Of course it’s too early to actually activate the days. However, from what I’ve seen so far it’s gorgeous. I’ve already decorated my tree! But what I wanted to really say is that I love when developers listen and respond to comments. Last year my particular complaint was that the kittens and the dog were missing.
