✓ It’s okay just a little frustratingIt’s a bit slow. Scrolling for some of the portfolio tags on iPhone doesn’t let you go all the way down before it closes the drop down. Uploading worked fine yesterday but today it’s not really working. It keeps giving a error message in red or just not doing anything when I try to upload. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it fixed for like one post but then it broke again. It’s just a little annoying..Version: 0.0.6
✓ You can’t delete your account!Do NOT join this app if you don’t plan to use it definitely, because you cannot delete your account after! The delete account system is so ridiculous and doesn’t even work. I been trying for the 30 minutes to figure own to delete my account but it just won’t let me. This is so ridiculous and useless that you have to fill a Google form but you still can’t delete your account after? Correct your app!.Version: 0.0.6

✓ Gatekeeping.This app was designed for elitist attitudes in the art community. Their stance is to stand against AI art and here’s where the contradiction comes In. Artist welcome readymade pieces and calculators but find an issue with AI art. If it’s in regard to integrity and authenticity, then everyone should frowned upon because artist has been using other artists work as a muse or source of inspiration for centuries. Art is supposed to be open to all people not just those who sat for hours putting lines together. In 2024 there are new ways to conventional art happening all the time, creating a space with the intent of negating AI art is redundant and counterproductive. Don’t support this app..Version: 0.0.6

✓ So much potentialIm going to be looking forward to seeing the progress this app makes with it's platform. there are a lot of great ideas and with instagram moving forward with using people's posts for training AI, Im seeing a mass migration of artists over here and Im very glad to see it. that being said, this platform clearly wasn't ready to grow as big as it has as quick as it has. it's very slow and has a lot of network errors that prevent me from posting anything at all on it. there are also a lot of small UI annoyances that make it hard to want to use, like Im fighting the app just to use it. I know it's still in beta though and Im really hoping everything gets really streamlined and starts to work well. I could see this potentially becoming the best platform for artist if they play their cards right..Version: 0.0.6
✓ Great for artistsI haven’t had this app for long but as I've been using it I’ve found, most of the time, the page doesn’t load and it’s very slow. Every time I tried to follow an artists account it would send me off the app or just wouldn’t let me follow them or like their work..Version: 0.0.6

✓ I want it to workI really want this app to be good. Maybe it’s the flood of IG artists hopping on and overwhelming the platform, but it just doesn’t function for me. Anything I try to do gives me a spinning wheel for a while. There’s no way to find my existing connections. Things don’t update in a timely way (ie: still not seeing the people I’ve followed or images I upload show on my profile minutes later). Buttons are misspelled for goodness sake. I had to google how to add images to my portfolio. The design just isn’t very intuitive. I love the concept and I know this is a small team just starting out and doing their best. But there’s a mass movement of artists coming from other platforms and I hope they can pull it together! Artists need a win right now..Version: 0.0.6

✓ Good idea but needs workThe art categories keep closing while scrolling through the options, and it conflicts with the keyboard. First post in, and it's flagged as AI after I tried editing the description to include hashtags. The post even includes sections of the work close up. Are we supposed to show WIP images to prove ownership? I spent 100 hours on that art myself before AI was a thing....Version: 0.0.5
✓ So slowThe app is straight forward and easy to use. However, it takes forever to load anything which doesn’t make exploring the app very easy. Every 3 posts I need to wait a minute for the next 3 to load. Is anyone else having this issue? ✓ One problemThe app itself and how it functions is great, the community is awesome. It would be my new favorite posting site but the loading time takes forever. I'll sit there waiting for a search result or someone's profile to load for like 5 minutes and then end up with a 'loading error' after everything. I am assuming this is because a lot of people are moving to Cara and the servers hosting it aren't able to keep up (similarly to how Art Fight crashes on the first day of launch). I trust this issue will be resolved eventually, but until then I cannot give a higher review..Version: 0.0.6

✓ Some bugs to fix:Some bugs to fix, when you’re making a board and you name it there’s a plethora of problems, first, why does the title have to be unique? Am I getting points for creativity? It’s really annoying because no matter what you put as the title it never works, eventually I gave up and started raging. Second, the board actually does save (but it doesn’t tell you that) so now I have 20 boards of just different cuss words. Third, more of just a suggestion but you should make it easier to follow someone. Forth, I pressed ‘sign in’ instead of ‘sign up’ on accident and there’s no way to go back unless you exit out entirely. Other than that it’s pretty great..Version: 0.0.8

✓ AMAZING but.I love the concept and features of cara, but it is VERY laggy and takes forever to load on my mobile phone, it took forever for one of my drawings to post. Tells me there’s a server error or it just didn’t work and it takes forever load in on my profile, I had to log out and log in to see it. and it takes forever to look at others profiles It’s really difficult to use, and I’m never on the app very long before I get frustrated and leaving The concept is GREAT. ✓ It deleted my account…I really wanted to like this app, but it needs a LOT of work… Everything loads SLOW. Posting, searching, scrolling, it’s very buggy and slow. I was able to make one post (it took 15 mins to even show that post on my profile). When I went to check my account later, the app had logged me out. When I tried to log back in, it said I didn’t have an account. Okay, fine, I’ll try to recover the password. But that didn’t work either because it never sent me the password reset email and it’s been 24 hours… so at this point I’ve accepted it deleted my account. I’m really disappointed, I thought this app had a lot of potential, but in its current state it’s not usable..Version: 0.0.5

✓ Doable Instagram alternative but VERY slowSoo in light of the AI garbage happening on IG, a lot of people are moving to Cara. Me as well, and I do understand this app still needs to be worked on, but I can’t post or make changes to anything without there being an error at least 5 times. It’s super slow and glitchy, and the search bar doesn’t work. I would say without these problems it would be a much better alternative, seeing as the interface is pretty much exactly the same as Instagram. If you’re willing to overlook the slowness, I think it’ll hopefully be a safe space for artists!.Version: 0.0.6

✓ Good in theory but is extremely primitiveWhile i really like the concept of this app, as the user base grows, the app becomes more and more unusable. it is so buggy that 2/3 times you try to post, the post won’t upload and a “server error” will occur, your bio and profile image constantly glitches, and your follow count just refuses to display sometimes. key features of the app are just not there consistently and it’s really frustrating as someone looking for a decent anti-AI platform. i hope the team behind this app tackles these issues because this app is basically unusable right now. i really support the anti-AI message but this app is just not working for me at this time..Version: 0.0.6
✓ Stuck with the algorithmic timeline by defaultA bit unstable, but I assume that situation will improve. The real red flag is that Cara forces its algorithmic timeline on you, with no way of setting just the people you're following as a default. That is a *really* bad sign. Even Twitter never did that. (It's not possible in the timeline settings to set the "people you follow" to 100% and the junk to 0%.) I was drawn to Cara because they gave the impression that they respected artists and users. Denying me control of my timeline in the name of "user engagement" is a pretty glaring indication of how much the people who run Cara respect their users. Even if they've adopted an ethical stance on AI right now, I'm pretty tired of being burned by social networks that just get more and more awful. The fact I'm already seeing flickers of the usual tech-company user-hostility on a service that's barely just launched gives me real pause about getting too invested in Cara..Version: 0.0.6
✓ So many ‘what?’ and ‘why?’I joined Cara with great expectations, however, reality isn’t that great. Yes: slow, errors, art just disappearing when tapping on the posts… My biggest concern is search tab. With so many creators joining app and uploading their art, you give us just ~50 search results?? I can refresh ‘discover’ search (which mostly shows already big accounts with hundreds/thousands likes). Different story with ‘new’ search: I have to close app forcefully if I want to refresh this search. Basically, I’m stuck with big accounts on my feed and search. Not beginners/newbies friendly. Other thing: issues with trying to describe portfolio and choose a medium: everytime I try to scroll down and reach (for example) ‘procreate’ option, the list just drops me off to the first options. And typing option doesn’t work. I really hope these (and other small) issues are just temporary..Version: 0.0.6

✓ Very slow and difficult to useVery very slow to open all the post and images. All the day I try to enter the app to post my stuff and see other profile. Just keep leading without to open it. Also quite difficult to post, all the time the app send me back at the beginning and I have to write my comment again or set the categories from scratch even if I already insert them. Definitely they need to improve and make the app working smoothly. But I keep posting for now and see how it’s going and if they will improve. ✓ Limiting to non 2D mediumsJust to clarify this review is intended to be constructive feedback! something i found frustrating upon making my first post was that the media options are extremely limited and the categories were also extremely limited. I personally am a sculptural jeweler and am not able to get my work to the right audience using the media and categories options. It is also frustrating that video is not publishable. hope they implement changes to be more inclusive to non 2d fields.Version: 0.0.6
