Not workingIt hasn’t worked for a few months for me. Don’t know if anyone else is having an issue..Version: 8.64.1

Uh oh!Does not install. Download is fine but it can't install itself.Version: 7.0.2

Potentially Great AppThis app is great if you want to gawk at medical stuff, not so great if you’re actually looking to learn. I look at Figure 1 because I want to learn. I want to see more things than I can't see on a daily basis in a clinical setting. I was under the impression that DX, labs and other pertinent info would be posted along with the photos. But really, most of the posts are just guessing games ("Help me figure out what this is!"). If I wanted that, I could go to any medical specialty forum online. I could even go to reddit for this. And it's not helpful to me if everyone with an opinion can leave a comment, then having to scroll down the comments to find where the original poster decides to reply with the correct answer -- if they even reply. I follow medical case study instagram accounts because they tell me what I'm seeing and the treatment and other pertinent information. You don’t get any of that with most posts on here. I think Figure 1 can be a powerful educational tool if its own mediocre posts and obnoxious comments don't kill it first..Version: 7.0.2

Fabulous reference: Fussy adminG'day. LOVE this app. Whether just fascinating content during commute or genuine resource reference point, I adore this app. I love that specialties can page and share. Only down side is the somewhat elitist notion a coroners investigator (or similar) cannot post/ ask questions. As a nurse; Copper and medical regulatory investigator, I felt discriminated against as my registration wasn't valid to practice having chosen to investigate. Bit of a shame as one cannot contribute or comment unless actively regd. Great app and I have serious text books if I need real peer review text but still felt on the outside. Anyway, back to scrolling xoxoxox.Version: 8.13.0

Medical StudentsThis is the best and the most helpful site for future doctors. Life Long Learning is the secret to long life. Kevin M Reid.Version: 8.35.0

Interesting but not great for learningWhen I downloaded this app I was under the impression that the posts would be clinical cases for readers to make guesses to diagnoses and treatments from a poster who already knows the answer AND can explain it. However, this app lets anyone post, and the good posts ( like the ones I was just referring to) get buried under nurses or medical students asking for help solving their personal clinical issues...I feel like there are plenty of other forums and online resources that are better suited for those purposes. As a medical student, myself, I would get more out of this app if it was regulated to some extent (maybe and up/down arrow to get rid of unwanted post?). Another idea: have a section of the post be the answer to the question. If the poster doesn't have an answer, they can't post..Version: 7.0.2

Don’t Love the “Upgrade”I used to love this app. Now, not so much. There is no landscape mode and the photos are so zoomed-in that they are somewhat blurry. Also, can’t see the whole image on the screen. In addition, I preferred being able to scroll thru several cases at the one time. Definitely not iPad friendly..Version: 9.1.3

Not good2 weeks since I posted about no landscape mode. Still none. The pictures are gigantic and blurry for the most part. What was wrong with the old version? I could quickly scroll through and read comments, now it’s an extra step to click on comments. Will probably delete..Version: 9.1.2

Can’t join, disappointedI was a happy user of this app a while ago but they now require a user to be a ‘Medical Professional’, so I can no longer access the app. Very disappointing. Instead of banning nonprofessionals, maybe just limit their comments? This app is very educational and interesting. I visited daily. The web site they recommend is no way close to the app. So again, very disappointed..Version: 9.8.2

Kicked us outNot a medical person but interested in this great app? Sorry —you get access no more. Out. Kicked out. Such a bummer..Version: 9.5.2

Verified nurseSince the last update, I have been unable to access this app. Since I can’t reply to your response on my review from Thursday, I was a verified LPN on the site. Which means I should not have to use the non healthcare professional site online. Yes, I have the latest version and uninstall with reinstall does nothing..Version: 9.1.3

Great until last updateThis is a great app for exchanging cases and knowledge. Excellent information. The latest update though...very poor. App crashes on opening every time. Now, it's pointless..Version: 6.3

Too openEchoing feedback and comment below - other platforms like MedShr far better as closed and verified - exclusively for doctors and REGISTERED Hcps..Version: 8.24.0

I'd love to be able to use itI am a regular user, every day. But I updated yesterday (20/2/16) & haven't been able to use it since! Apparently my internet isn't active (despite resetting my iPhone 3 times) & I can't use open it at all!.Version: 7.0.1

Crashes too muchThis is a great app for learning and discussing medical topics but it's hard to do so when it crashes each time I click on a post for more details. Other than that it's very informative and engaging..Version: 8.35.0

Dreadful app which promotes dangerous alt-med pseudoscienceFigure 1 used to be an app for medical professionals that encouraged discourse and learning. The biggest mistake was giving alternative medicine quackery an unbridled platform, allowing for its promotion to rob vulnerable patients of their money via pseudoscience. Continued protestations of this from the community were ignored, and eventually when it all blew up and the community started to call these unscrupulous folks out on their snake oil behaviour, Figure 1 elected to side with the pseudoscience. Extremely heavy handed moderation tactics coupled with the promotion of pseudoscience led to several long time and prominent members deleting their accounts, specifically ones who have uploaded hundreds of genuinely educational cases that contributed hugely to evidence based medicine and learning. Cack handed mismanagement from its founders have proven that they are quite clueless when it comes to paying attention to combating quackery and its promotion, amongst other things. Should you choose to use this app, please be aware that it employs over zealous moderation of anyone who challenges pseudoscience, to the detriment of its own integrity. The app's biggest user with the highest number of cases removed himself from the site after being thoroughly disgusted with the founder's actions. Avoid..Version: 8.6.1

Bugs bugs bugdThere are way too many glitches with this app. Have to constantly close the app and reopen.Version: 8.44.0

Used to use; now way to privacy invasiveUsed to like the app quite a bit. Forgot about it, now coming back to see I need to submit a photo of my badge as well as credentialing info and full personal information? To look at pictures on the internet? No way..Version: 9.32.19

I really hate this is only for MDs nowI was in the medical field working in the laboratory and was always looking at specific laboratory testing. Can’t do that now unless you have a license number.Version: 9.32.19

Share the knowledge! So disappointed the app is now closed to non-HCPs. Loved this app. Find a way to let us learn and not contribute!.Version: 9.1.3

Ordering of images in post w/ CT, MRI, etc needs improvementAmazing app! Very informative, although, the order of slides on CTs, MRIs, etc is no-longer continuous. I’m not sure if this is due to an update but my account shows a slide as #10 meanwhile others commenting are clearly referring to the same slide as slide #17..Version: 8.28.0

What a jokeLoved this app a lot - until they made it exclusively for healthcare professionals only. Enquiring minds aren’t enough apparently. Gutted..Version: 9.0.0

I hate the new appIt is AWFUL on my iPad pro. That should not be! I just hate it..Version: 9.0.6

DeletingPush notifications so insistent even when I have unsubscribed to all through email and the app..Version: 8.72.0

I'm not welcome here anymore 😢This app used to be amazing! I'm not a medical professional (I teach college chemistry) but have always been fascinated by the human body. When I discovered this app last year, I fell in love! I learned more about the body and diseases in a few short months than I had in my entire life. Sadly, that mostly ended after the update-of-exclusion a short while back. The powers that be decided that Figure1 was no longer to be the wonderful educational community that I had grown to love, and eliminated most of the features that made it so. Before, the community of practicing doctors would often post cases for med students to try to solve and were so friendly and warm and supportive as they guided them toward the correct diagnoses. I've noticed that this type of activity has decreased to almost nothing from what it was before. Or, perhaps, I'm only allowed to see this little because I'm not of the anointed class? I didn't know it was possible to be personally offended by an app update until this app update. Thanks, Figure1 for this last, truly memorable educational experience. FWIW, the app still has some value. And if you're new to it (and not a medical professional) you'll never know how much you missed out on, so, it's probably worth a try. However, I am heartbroken that this "update" destroyed such a brilliant resource..Version: 6.4.2

Very poorA friend of mine showed me this app and it looked great however when I downloaded it the app just crashes every time I try to open it..Version: 8.4.0

TerribleWon't download and it is beyond annoying. It's downloaded to the extent that there is a blank box on my screen, and when I try to re-download it, it won't fully download, and I can't erase it. This leaves me thinking it's corrupt (or my phone is messed). So I'll blame the app for now 😬.Version: 8.4.0

Could be a fiveWas easily my favourite app until the browse button disappeared. Why the change?! Would still be a five star if there hadn't been the change..Version: 6.4

Please fix this appI am probably one of your longest users but this app gets more useless as time goes on. JUST ARRANGE THINGS BY DATE. The top case that shows up in my feed today - ECMO and H1N1. How old is this case? 37 comments with no mention of covid- so this case has to be 2.5 years old..Version: 9.26.2

Waste of complete time - do not bother! Not trustworthy - there are better sources of learning out there than this medical website!.Version: 8.71.0

Great ReaourceAwesome visual resource for students trying to learn, understanding rare cases and discussing treatment options..Version: 8.3.2

Limit the users that could post or comment to trained medical professionalsThe app is good, the users are poorly chosen— pretty much everyone could play pretend doctors and post or comment unacceptable things..Version: 8.54.0

Miss The Old App/Access For AllI used to be a daily user. The app fascinated me, helped me grow as a person and student, and even lead to the diagnosis of a connective tissue disorder in someone very close to me. Though I am not a medical professional, I just graduated with a degree to teach math and science. I am so bummed to have lost this resource and really wish you’d open it back up to us all once again. I can honestly say that it would have inspired me to go into medicine, if I had been at a different point in life. Sad..Version: 9.1.3

Posts don’t include datesPosts don’t include dates, at least on the iPhone app. I can’t tell if these are new, old, active, or inactive..Version: 9.32.19

Lacks integrityThis app was fantastic to start, but has become a sad community of apparently ill-prepared providers as well as support personnel who seem to misunderstand scope of practice. I have never seen such egregious use of antibiotics as I see posted in cases on this app, as well as LPNs, RNs and EMTs who think hey have more training than they do. There are about three users who post valid, evidence-based information, otherwise it seems to be an outlet for nurses and EMTs who wish they were doctors, and bottom-of-the-barrel med students who really should know their stuff better. Embarrassing..Version: 8.31.0

No more access to the appSadly I do not have access to the app anymore since I’m not a medical professional..Version: 9.0.6

Garbage app for trollsThis app claims to be for professionals but it’s full of absolute morons. The people who run the app maintenance are preschool dropouts with zero brain function..Version: 9.0.0

Deleting this appAfter the upgrade, this app effectively doxxed every single one of its users listing our full first and last names on our profiles. This info was probably buried in one of the millions of emails they send weekly and I missed it. A nice bit of gratitude after 18 months working front line for COVID and being one of their first subscribers. The new layout is awful. I’m deleting this app because I don’t trust their moderators..Version: 9.0.6

Very funny and educationalWhy has the update made all my notifications become Spanish?? Lol!!.Version: 8.0.3

It was nice when I had accessEven though I am not a healthcare professional, I used to logon to the app daily to read the cases that were presented. I am fascinated about medicine and Figure1 was great app to learn how diseases and trauma are treated. Now I can’t get access to the app, presumably because I am not a healthcare professional. I don’t understand why it is so critical that I am a healthcare professional if all I want to do is read what is on the app..Version: 9.0.0

Great but won't workI love this but I can never see the comments on a case - once it gets to the age where the case is it won't allow me to click on anything apart from share. Please help?!.Version: 8.0.2

Will not openApp will open then almost immediately crash on iPod 5th generation..Version: 8.4.1

Not workingAfter the last update the app does not work! ☹️.Version: 8.61.0

Limited usefulnessUnfortunately the vast majority of comments posted on this app are from non-physicians and are essentially useless. MDs expecting a forum in which to exchange information with peers regarding difficult cases will be disappointed..Version: 8.13.0

A+Great app. The only downfall is that the app closes or bugs and I have to reopen it. Maybe is it possible to make sections for the different specialties. The diagnosis and perhaps the decision taken or RX given to the patient?.Version: 1.01

Beware. They charge you without approving.Price of this app is not listed. I had no idea there was a fee. I thought it was the NEJM case report since it looked so similar. Beware!!!.Version: 8.45.1

Changes without an update? What happened today?!? This was by far my favourite app and now I can't browse categories or follow cases with notifications anymore!! It's been super glitchy for a week and now this. Thumbs down :(.Version: 6.4

Can’t access commentsI have not been able to access the comments since this app changed to the new “blue” version. It keeps saying to sign in to view or leave a comment. I am signed in. I try to sign in again and it doesn’t allow me to sign in. There needs to be a major fix..Version: 9.3.0

Can’t go past the initial page.I was shave excited about this app, but I see (or don’t see, because I can’t access it) it needs more work. The app won’t allow me to go past the enter email page. Not a very good start if you can’t get past the initial page. Fail!.Version: 8.27.0

Not completely ready for prime timeVery interesting, brief, cases. Well-presented, clinically significant. But I can’t seem to get it to work, meaning, I click on the embedded picture in the email or the “View the Grand Rounds now” tab, and can never seem to find the article linked to the email as both choices take me to grand rounds, NOT the actual case. Would be nice if it worked, some of the cases look quite interesting and relevant to my practice. Disappointing..Version: 8.42.0

Big disappointmentAre these really medical professionals? Wow. My impression is there is a lot of laymen replying. Don’t get me wrong, some cases are good, but there are multiple wrong and embarrassing answers by unqualified people defeating the educational aspect. All what’s wrong with medicine is here - non-evidence based recs, shotgun lab testing, inappropriate use of medications.. I’m out..Version: 8.45.1

Very interesting!Great to see multi-media content but can be overwhelming. Not recommended for students..Version: 8.9.0
