What was the need?!The old Transdev was fine! It told me where the bus was, where it was going, and I could navigate the entire thing super easily! But now? It was hard to understand which Destination I needed, it didn’t give clear details to where by bus was and how long I had to actually get there! Your telling me that in order to find out which bus I need and where it’s location is, I have to read through a tiny timetable which isn’t even nice to look at it just strains the eyes! Please. If you aren’t going to fix these issues the least you can do is deactivate the old one, yknow? The one people actually like?!.Version: 4.27

Far inferior to old appIf you have the old app, but don’t use it to buy tickets, keep it rather than getting the new app. I wish I had. The old app was much better. The new app only shows scheduled times whereas the old one showed expected times. It is now much harder to see when the bus will arrive. The old app updated the position of the buses every 10 seconds automatically, but the new one doesn’t. I can’t understand why Transdev have got rid of an app that worked well and replaced it with a new app that is so poor..Version: 4.25

TerriblePlease just bring back the old app. If you want to make a new app that’s fine but make sure you have all the features of the old one before rolling it out. I can’t fathom how brain dead the person who made the decision to release this app now is. It was annoying at first but now you’ve made it so I can’t even use the old app to track bus arrival times for god knows what reason. Please just do the sensible thing and revert back to the old app because your going lose a massive portion of your customers if you don’t. Even if you are planning on adding all the old features to the new app please just revert back to the old one while your still working on this one and then only release the new app when it’s finished. Utter tripeTo quote the masses , why fix what wasn’t broken? In no particular order Why do I need a photo to purchase a ticket, not sure I want Transdev holding that level of personal detail on me Why does it more often than not default to purchase 2 tickets and then flip out when trying to update my basket ? Why does it take 10 - 11 clicks to complete a purchase, overkill, oh snd it ends by telling me I should really download the app, no kidding Why when completing a purchase does it take me out of the app to a web browser … and then not return me to app, more clicking Why is live tracking so over complicated ,more clicking to get to where I actually need to be Why are stops in faves not better named ? I’ve 4 stops low ec all but one shows as ‘bus stop’ Where are the accessibility options, the light grey text on white backgrounds is barely legible I could go on .. oh wait have any of your so called app designers ever used s bus? Suspect not, even your drivers are rolling their eyes and agreeing Utter rubbish , but hey I’m guessing you are saving money somewhere I guess because that can only be the reason to change a simple, easy to use app into this garbage , read the room Transdev, you’ve got it wrong..Version: 4.25

Poor App!!The new app is absolutely awful. It’s so confusing when trying to locate the nearest bus route. The timing on the app is not accurate and I’ve missed multiple buses because the app is saying 10 minutes yet it’s actually 5 minutes until it arrives. It’s so hard to track multiple buses when you have two routes to chose from costing more time and therefore is a major inconvenience. The most annoying feature is that Apple Pay doesn’t work with any of my cards, therefore if I want go purchase a ticket on my phone I have to input all my bank details in e v e r y s i n g l e t i m e. This takes more time for me when this experience should be straight forward and easy. I had absolutely no issues with the old app, it worked perfectly fine, I could purchase my tickets, track buses, see the nearest buses. Bring back the old app ASAP!.Version: 4.27

Useless update.Completely useless. The old app allowed you to see on one map 1) how far away the bus was on time 2) the rough location of the bus 3) recently it was made very clear which buses were cancelled. The new app has repeatedly just not shown buses that are scheduled to arrive. The map does not show both the timetable and where the bus is. Removed the super useful feature showing which buses were cancelled. The support has been poor and multiple emails have been unacknowledged. As I’ve had difficulty attempting to join the commuter club that I should be part of..Version: 4.26

Terrible appUsed the old app on a regular basis ever since it came out for different services in the area and always found it easy to navigate. The new app is rubbish, no other word for it. Old app - select favourite stop, select relevant bus which takes you to tracking page with clearly marked stops and the bus number shown on it- simple. New app - separate tracking page where all buses look the same so you have to click on several before you find the one you want but the screen zooms in and out every time so very frustrating. I have three favourite stops for different bus stations but in the favourites list they all show as ‘bus station’, the old app differentiated. Has there been any app testing by your customers, I can only assume not!.Version: 4.25

AwfulThe new app is extremely difficult to use and is a huge downgrade from the old app: differentiating the buses is extremely difficult given they’re all the same colour, only a few departure times are shown at the bus stops, the variety of routes for ‘plan your journey’ is minimal, the bus timetables don’t show up and it’s just overall hard to use. If you promise your users an upgraded app then that’s what they expect. The previous app was easy to use and gave users all the facilities they needed, and I don’t understand why we have been forced to download such a downgraded app that feels incomplete..Version: 4.23

Holmfirth X1 can't be foundIf you type Holmfirth into the Find box under Bus Tracker, it only shows the K3, not the X1 Holmfirth Flyer. Not helpful. And I'd echo others' comments about the anonymous bus pictures on the tracker – how hard would it be to add the service number to the bus pic? And possibly an arrow for which direction it's going. And the distracting animations when you tap on a bus for more details are just annoying. Haven't even tried buying tix yet or logging in. Poor compared to earlier app. 2 stars is generous.Version: 4.27

What have you done?I think I’ve written 3 reviews in my life and the last one was probably over 10 years ago. Just simply, what have you done to this app? Previously I was able to look at the stops around me, click which direction it’s going in and see when the next bus arrives. Perfect. Now I’m tracking buses, having to ask it to view stops nearby and then the arrows are not on the stops anymore so two stops across the road from each other are next to impossible to click and if you click the wrong one then it’s taking you through to another page for you to go back again. How could you iteratively make the app so much worse from a UX perspective. Please take the elements back from the old app. All we needed last time is that if it told you the bus number you could click it and see the schedule. There was nothing at all else wrong with it. I actually don’t trust the data it’s showing me anymore as I did a bus track and a journey lookup today and it seemed I was getting two different times for the same bus. Sort it out. We get the bus often into Preston and this is just making things hard work..Version: 4.27

Terrible “update”You should never try to fix something that wasn’t broken. A huge downgrade from the old app. You can’t even tell the buses apart or track a bus from your own stop. Buses are mostly used by school children or elderly, if the app wasn’t confusing before then it definitely is now, it’s become difficult to get around it. I can understand the app may have needed an update but don’t take away feature that made the app helpful..Version: 4.23

(7th May) Frustrating and UnreliableAfter multiple updates and attempts to fix things. This app is still extremely frustrating and unreliable for me. The Bus tracker is still bad with it randomly disabling busses which also removes the usual arrival times for busses at bus stops. This has caused me to miss multiple busses due to doing daily walks before catching the oncoming bus. The bus region is a system that makes it so people that have to travel by multiple busses to constantly switch between different regions just to track different busses. Journey planner is less reliable as you cant see the journey on a map or save said journey (this makes no sense as you can select a specific bus on another menu to see the route it takes, and this was a feature on the old app as well). The only benefit this app has done is made me wake up early an walk more because of how unreliable it is for more travel to work, eventually maybe saving money by not even needing to take the bus anymore..Version: 4.27

RubbishThe old app worked perfectly fine. the new app is so confusing to navigate and you have to go through like 3 places just to see the times the bus arrive to your closest stop. You also can’t see the live tracking on the map and the time at the same time - it’s either one or the other? I also loved on the old app you could easily switch between the time for the bus and then your tickets at the bottom of the screen but now you have to go all the way back to the beginning ??? really silly. I’ve just been using the old app because it’s still available to track the bus times for me.Version: 4.26

Why the hell do I have to upload a photo to buy a ticket?I don’t understand how Transdev can go from having a relatively good app with an easily accessible menu system and was fully functional as an app. To make this new app and expect everyone to migrate across AND to top it all off my old Transdev account doesn’t even apparently exist according to the app. There was already very little point in making a new app when the original was functional but forcing everyone to migrate by the end of March to an app that’s considerably worse with useless features added that aren’t even needed or asked for is just shocking. 1 star complete disappointment..Version: 4.23

Why change what doesn’t need itThe previous app was miles better, the map system where you would just click a nearby bus stop worked perfectly! And now it’s gone! What genius came up with this one? Pfft sack em! Haha seriously though, literally just made something that was great into something I don’t even want to use anymore in fact now I just go to the bus stop and pray the bus isn’t late delayed or cancelled which the previous app just told me so!!.Version: 4.27

Another bad moveThis app is so clunky, it’s far inferior to the prev one. The guy is right it’s a big step back. The other app was so easy to use, tickets were easy to buy/find. Now they need a photo of me to buy a ticket in app? Why?? The whole thing is just a bad move and makes it far more difficult to use, I’d imagine older people would really struggle and eventually give up. Apps are meant to make these things easier but it actually just makes it harder… as if getting a bus with this company isn’t difficult enough. PoorThe old app worked completely fine. The tracker on the new app is delayed, can’t accurately gauge where the bus is as it doesn’t update quickly. The ticket section is a nightmare as the ticket isn’t always instantly available it takes time to “process”. Then when you activate it, half the time the app just closes. It’s more difficult to navigate, absolutely pointless way of reworking an app that worked absolutely fine previously..Version: 4.27

RedundantUtterly pointless to rework it because the old app worked perfectly fine, the map aspect was really helpful to see your closest stop, to track when the busses hit those specific spots, live updates, tickets, everything was fine. This new app is hard to navigate, I miss the map aspect, you can’t even view the timetables without being redirected to your phones browser, it’s confusing, clunky and frustrating to use. It’s way more difficult to track your busses, you have to scroll through the list of stops to find your closest one (if you know the name of it). The only aspect I like is being able to see all the current busses in service but that was also a feature on the old app that worked fine? I don’t understand why remaking the app was necessary, mindlessly annoying. The fact the new timetables also don’t match up with the busses currently is also super frustrating when you’re trying to plan ahead your journeys. Listen to the feedback and implement the features from the old app that were actually helpful and regulated well in a way that was super user friendly..Version: 4.25

Why change to this?I use the buses often, I use the 1’s, so often need to check the cancelled ones as ours tends to get cancelled a lot, I depend on the buses to get to work. Anyway, this app is not better than its predecessor, it’s complex to navigate, the ability to click on stops near you from the map has been changed, so you have to search through so many options before you get to the one you want. The new design of the ‘3D’ buses are awful, you can’t see which bus is on the route without clicking on them.. I don’t understand why the original app was discarded.. there was nothing wrong with it..Version: 4.23

This feels unnecessaryI used the old app almost exclusively to check when the next bus would be reaching my stop, and although that feature is not gone, it’s by no means as easy to reach and doesn’t always show you where the bus itself is, so it’s far harder to gauge when I need to leave or whether or not the bus is worth waiting for. The old app was near flawless in my experience of its tracking features, aside from in a few areas where signal was patchy. I’m not entirely sure what new features were implemented but I’d have assumed that an update to the previous app would have been more than sufficient.Version: 4.27

A massive step backwardsThe old app may not have been pretty but it worked, I knew my way round it and I recommended it to others. The new app initially seemed poorer and more cumbersome but now it's got worse and is awful. I can no longer find timetables, the list of departures is truncated and pulling down doesn't work, etc. The app simply isn't fit for purpose. Frustrating downgradeSo many people loved the old app and said how useful it was. I was gutted to find that the replacement isn’t a patch on the previous version. The main thing I want to use this app for is to easily locate nearby bus stops for the service I want and then know what time the next bus is from there. TerribleThe old app was so much better. You cannot see how busy a bus is anymore, unless I am missing something; navigating this new app is abysmal. Also, you can no longer click on a departing bus and see what time it will arrive at your chosen destination - useless if you’re planning an onward journey elsewhere. It also required a password reset to be able to log into this new app. I really do not know why it’s been changed to this as I fail to see any benefit so far..Version: 4.27

Will result in me using the bus lessI’m annoyed that I updated the old app because that update deactivated it. I now have to create an account first before I use the new app. Fail number 1. The old app was great. Tapped on my nearest stop, select departures and see when all the next buses will arrive at the stop. I could decide when to leave so that I would arrive just before the bus. Also the map showing the bus in real time would tell me if I’d have to speed up or jog the remainder of the way to not miss the bus. Perhaps the bus company have changed the app developer and if so, copy the old one because this is a joke. Now I can’t keep track of the bus I won’t bother catching it. I’ll just drive or get a taxi. I just opened the old app to find it deactivated and arrived at this new mess so now I’m not going for the bus as a result. Two quid lost and all the future ones too. Great job..Version: 4.27

Absolutely hate this appI thought when I downloaded this app it would be a good upgrade and easy to use it’s the complete opposite is really difficult and confusing you can’t track your buses and you can’t find which stop you’re at by using your location which is very hard if you’ve never been somewhere and you don’t know the names of streets and places it’s awful I want the old one back and many people agree it’s horrible to use my ticket isn’t there even tho I’ve paid it’s terrible absolute hate for this app. Please please listen to the reviews this is supposed to be an app that people can use and should enjoy using it so you should listen it’s not about the business it’s about the people using the app..Version: 4.26

New appThe old app was far from perfect but this new app is horrific. its interface is confusing its totally u usable and user unfriendly. who thought of when using the bus tracker part that u need to then press a seperate button to show local stops then god forbid u zoom out to find a different stop the stops disappear and u have to press the button AGAIN!!!!!! ive used some terrible travel apps (first bus is quite bad) but this beats it by a clear margin bring back the user friendly app asap please.Version: 4.27

Shockingly poorThe app is such a downgrade from the other. Although it looks a lot prettier it simply doesn’t work how it’s supposed to. You try to track your bus as often or not it’s cancelled in the morning and you have to guess where your bus is on the map to try and find it, kind of defeats the point of the app in my opinion. Service updates are hard to find, doing anything is 10x harder than it was. Not for me, I started using the buses whilst the trains were on strike and never went back but it’s definitely worth a think now..Version: 4.23

WHY…It’s like you’ve literally gone backwards. The old app worked perfect. It was easy to see nearest stops, services & where abouts the bus is so I could plan accordingly. This new app makes it stupidly hard to get quick access- especially for stops you’ve never been to before. I now cant accurately track where my buses are so instead I will end up stood at the stop wondering where it actually is. I used the app multiple times a day. You might aswell have just removed the app. That’s how useless this is now. The old one was so easy to use. Think someone in your marketing & design team need a new job. Because how has this got past so many people & so many reviews with no-one picking up on the fact you now can’t access 95% of the services, when the customers have picked up on this straight away. Poor replacementI used to use the Transdev Go app every day, primarily to live check where various bus options were on my route. It worked brilliantly. The update is extremely poor wrt the bus tracker. All you can see is little bus icons showing the direction of travel. The bus route lines have disappeared so the bus icons look like just a jumble. It’s hard to work out where the bus is on its route because the route isn’t visible. Added to that, the bus icons are no longer labelled with the bus number! You have to click on each icon in turn to bring up a window that gives you info about each bus. On a busy bus route there’s a jumble of unlabelled buses on no visible route so it’s nigh on impossible to navigate. The previous version was easy to read and worked perfectly. I don’t see why it’s been changed, and in such a poor way too. It’s no longer fit for purpose. The bus icons are also now much harder to read. The colour contrast showing the direction is very poor. It’s no longer user friendly especially on the run, or for older people, or those with visual impairment / colour blindness. There used to be a blue circle showing the location of the user on the map which was helpful in respect to the location of bus stops or buses. That’s also disappeared. It was very useful if you were in an unfamiliar location. tPlease fix the app or revert back to the previous version. This ‘upgrade’ is a disaster..Version: 4.27

Room for improvementThere are 3 points I would make that should be reintroduced. To "favourite" stops the process has become a little less user friendly, rather than viewing nearby stops to understand when the next bus is you have to go into the rout and work it out. This bring me on to the second where the app shows your location but there is no quick locate button to your location, so it takes much longer than previously. When stops are also favourited there is no quick option to see in the map where your bus is. It may say 2 minutes, but the over map view was far more beneficial. I believe the app will improve and it probably will become easier to use, but there certainly are missing feature currently..Version: 4.27

Possibly the Horizon of bus apps.Shockingly bad app in comparison to its predecessor, which was a class leader and great example of how to do this type of an app, make it useable, and liked. Whoever keeps giving this app a five star rating on the AppStore clearly isn’t someone who uses it. A real downgrade. Don’t bother downloading it. I’ve gone back to cash, paper timetables, and using alternative apps for the live tracking because this app doesn’t do any of those basic functions reliably and doesn’t look like it will be able to any time soon. Complete retrograde stepIn summary, utter garbage. Almost completely unusable; bus tracker - arguably the most useful feature - now broken on both app (“No services found”) and missing on the web site , a broken navigation, useless loading transitions, etc etc. For the developers, it’d probably be handy to do some actual user journey mapping through the app, maybe test a little, research and get out and try to use it in real life and see how you get on..Version: 4.26

New App Travel Experience Worse Not BetterI’m afraid that the New App is a major disappointment. It may be prettier than the old one, but it makes the travel experience worse not better. Three features which were available on the old app have been ditched. You can no longer tell which bus is which at a glance when you view buses on the map, you can’t select which buses appear on the map and you can’t view more than one bus timetable at a time. Also, searching for the ticket you want is painful. It felt like I had to scroll for ever before I finally found the ticket I was looking for yesterday. RubbishThe old app worked and was easy to get information. This new app is difficult to navigate, timetables are not easily available and not user friendly. I can use the x41 or x43 to get home, in the old app I could view both routes on the live map and pick the best option, now you have to switch between bus companies to view each map. Useless and not user friendlyThe old app was perfectly fine. I could access everything I needed easily without tapping back and fourth. In the old app it would show me what bus stop im next to and I could just tap it to see how long the bus will be. It does not do that here which is a pain. I could go on but I won’t, the reviews speak for themselves. However I have to mention the change in bus times, which is an absolute joke. I’m sure some are happy about it but you got rid of a running time which I and many others rely on to get to college or work early, now we have to get up earlier which is highly unecessary. I don’t know what’s going on in the Transdev offices but it’s clear customer use does not come first. Please fix this.Version: 4.25

Very poorThe accessibility in this app is nonexistent. The colour scheme is unreadable for people with visual issues like myself and there is no way to enlarge the text or change the colour scheme like there was in the previous app. The app tells you when the bus is scheduled to arrive but doesn’t tell you when the bus will actually arrive so I now have to set off 20 minutes early because I wait at least 10mins for a bus to arrive after it’s scheduled time. Less functional than old appCan you please make it so lines from all the companies show up at once. I have to change bus company if I want to check the 481 times against the 483 when they run basically the same route until you hit Rawtenstall. You’re also missing loads of bus stops. Why does it open to a “plan your journeys” page. The old app worked and did what was needed it didn’t need changing. Quite genuinely this “app” is unusable compared to the old one. It feels like something someone would make for a gcse exam. Why do stops near to me not show up so I can check the next bus? I know how to get where I’m going I don’t need to “plan” how to do it, I just need to know the bus times.Version: 4.23

Terrible updateNot sure why they had to make a new app if the old version was already extremely helpful and easy to navigate. The new version is NOT user-friendly at all, you can’t even see your location, the bus tracking is confusing and every time I want to activate my tickets it closes the app. It took me 2 minutes to understand the old version and it’s taking me forever to understand the new one properly - if you don’t know the buses or the routes already, you’re going to have a hard time with this app.Version: 4.27

Terrible “update”The new version of the app is a big downgrade from the old version. It’s like they took all the useful functions from the old app and either removed them or made them ten times more difficult to access. An example: in the old app, bus tracking has bus icons which show the route number and which direction the bus is travelling. In the new app, the bus icons are all the same, with no route numbers, and no way to tell the direction of travel. You have to take a guess and tap on a bus to get a popup info window, then when you close that the map immediately zooms out to show about half the county and dozens of overlapping bus icons. It’s useless in comparison. Please drop this update and give us the old app again..Version: 4.23

Awful and unnecessaryThere was absolutely no need to update it. the new app is much harder to use, harder to track busses and it shows busses that aren’t transdev which is annoying too. and now they’ve made is so i can’t even track busses on the old app so now i can barely use it at all. so pointless. please at least don’t completely remove the old app, preferable delete the new one and go back to the old. there was NOTHING wrong with the old app and the new one is so much worse. old transdev had such better reviews too, take a hint. no one likes this app..Version: 4.27

Utterly pointless and poor updateI’m unsurprised to see from recent reviews that I’m not the only person who thinks the new app is rubbish. The old one was incredibly user friendly and clear, this one is a complete mess. You can only see the next few departures from your nearest stop after navigating through several pages to finally find your stop via the clunky bus tracking page. Nearby stops are no longer automatically highlighted. The bus tracker shows every bus known to man kind, which in a busy city centre is pointless and impossible to make sense of. A notification pops up every single time you open the app nagging you to sign up to notifications for service updates. Would rate it zero stars if possible..Version: 4.27

Please change back!!I thought this was supposed to be an improvement but it is so so much worse. I don’t see anything wrong with the old app. I hope Transdev are reading the reviews and realise what a terrible mistake they have made. I wouldn’t even give one star but needed to in order to move on to this review. It is so over complicated. Trying to buy a ticket takes forever and you’re back and forth between the app and web browser. Also why do we need to upload our photos, what’s the point? It’s not social media. And trying to find where my bus is at…I’d be quicker walking the streets myself to locate it. Before you could just click on the stop you wanted and know how far away it was. One simple click, easy. I think I might just be better off purchasing the paper tickets on board and go back to the old fashioned method of “standing, waiting and praying” that my bus turns up on time. I used the old app everyday to get too and from work and get about on buses which I rely on. But you have to jump through hoops to find anything out on the new one. Please fix it!.Version: 4.25

Too complicated for non-phone users like myselfThe old app was very simple and easy to understand for me (a pensioner in her 70s). This one is very complicated and now I’m struggling to see where buses are, I missed the bus to my grandchildren the other day because it was too hard for me to see where my bus was, got all mixed up with the rest of the buses because they all look the same! Please fix this app or other older individuals like me will continue with our problems! These techy youths are purposely stopping us getting around! Disgraceful.Version: 4.26

Big downgradeOk what the hell were they thinking with this. the old app was great, nice interface and the colours (in dark mode) were perfect. this app is an eyesore, a pain to use, and the most annoying part is that the I have to look through a menu of places of buses that are nowhere close to me despite location being turned on. i dont need to check bus times for somewhere i live 20 miles away from. this app is a downgrade in every way and I hope they just let us use the old and superior app..Version: 4.25

Massive downgradeUI doesn’t make sense, is clunky and looks terrible. Why is there an option to remove all options from the bar? Why would that ever be used? Maps include (even more delayed) tracking from every bus from the service in one colour which makes it impossible to distinguish from one another. Constantly asks for service updates. You’re better off using the old app and just paying for the bus when it arrives. Just an inconvenience for no reason.Version: 4.24

RidiculousThe old Transdev app was just about transdev’s one redeeming feature, since it at least told you the delay when the bus was inevitably late. This new app is appaling. Impossible to navigate, clunky, doesn’t run properly, and just not user friendly at all. I don’t know whose idea this new app was, but it was certainly a poor choice. Over complicatedFaster app and looks nicer but everything has been majorly over complicated and it’s difficult to actually figure out what’s going on. A lot of the time when I try to activate my ticket the whole app crashes and it takes me ages to sort it out. You can no longer tap on your respective bus stop to see the busses you have to go through a much longer route to figure it out. Half the busses don’t actually come up with live tracking either anymore. Everything that I could’ve done easily before seems to have been given an unnecessary longer route on this app. Seems completely counterproductive and even more annoying than it already was with the super slow app they had before.Version: 4.23

From Hero to Zero, Utter RubbishWhy in gods name have you done a massive retrograde update? We have gone from a very visually pleasing, very functional app, to the most dreadful app imaginable. Map, rubbish, plan a trip, absolutely diabolical, it’s almost impossible to plan your journey now. Bus timetables, where the hell have they gone? Destinations for routes incorrect 🤷🏻‍♂️, I could go on and on. Why umpteen clicks, where one click would suffice? Come on, either get you act together, or revert back to the app version that was actually useful. I would give ZERO STARS, but you have to give it 1 star🤦🏻‍♂️. Obviously my first rant about this app touched to many nerves, it was never posted on reviews. Actively made a good app unusableThe worst update I have ever come across, and clearly they have no intention of fixing any of the issues (original claims were that they were going to take on board the critiques and adjust but have yet to see any real change happening). I would use the app every day and could find the exact information needed in 3 clicks or less. The new app is hard to navigate, even for someone who knows roughly what bus to get and what stops to get to, so god forbid anybody try to find information for the first time. The buses here are notoriously unreliable so the beauty of the original app was being able to find out cancellations and delays easily, and adjusting the journey accordingly. That is now a thing of the past. You could also plan a return for a few hours in advance because you could see the timetable. I’ve had the new app weeks and have yet to be able to find this. I was still using the old app instead, although that has now been wiped, meaning everyone is now left with an app that has nothing more for it than a more colourful logo..Version: 4.27
