Also you should be able to send files in folders straight to the archive without going through the desktop first. ✓ Good but voice dictation is flaky.If you do voice dictation instead of typing, sometimes you can no longer edit the document. So you have to back out of the document and reopen it in order to get text editing to work again. They've known about this problem for over a year, and still have not fixed it!!.Version: 5.2.2
✓ Collaboration king!At eveXso we have offices in Australia and India, we recently started using quip to manage the communication and documentation between all members of the team for both development and implementation. I particularly like chatting and making comments in terms of the document you are working on. Scrolling through email responses is a thing of the past Having access on my mac, phone and iPad has been so useful. What would be great to extend this to be even more useful would be the ability to have "temporary" users. These are client users who would be given access through the implementation process to certain sections or documents. Great app.Version: 5.0

Moving my notes was easy and I have had none of the performance problems that frustrated me with Evernote. ✓ My favorite app to take notes for home and work useI love Quip with all it’s suite of apps for work and how all they integrate well with each other. Linking people and docs is so convenient. I love the fact that the service is continuously improving and I get new updates once or twice a month. Yes, the search is not instant like we got used to with Google, the app becomes slow or occasionally hangs, but the benefits outweigh all the drawbacks. For over a decade I have used so many tools from Evernote to MS OneNote, to Asana, but Quip’s UX is the best. ✓ Note takers heaven!I love taking notes, lots of notes! But I could never keep them organised but with Quip you can organise your notes, lists, pictures and spreadsheets in folders. You can have folders in folders too which is great. You can then access your notes from any device and they will be fully updated. I don't personally use the sharing tools but I have tested them and they work perfectly. I recommend this app to anyone who likes to note things down but be able to find them again..Version: 2.1

However, I think the mobile app needs a little bit more functionality to compare to the desktop app. I know you can’t make them work EXACTLY the same, but it’d be nice to be able to interact more with the Live Apps on the mobile app. I’m currently unable to move cards between columns on the Kansan Board and that’s a drag to have to get on my computer just for that. My only issue with this tool is that the text color cannot be changed. The developer says that’s by design to “keep it simple and focused”. ✓ Generally good but…This app is excellent for sharing information with a number of people and we run a lot of our family life through it, but there is a but! In one of the previous updates something changed with text auto population. Now if you try and delete text it stops at a point and tries to propose a word. You can’t move on writing or deleting until you have addressed the pop up word. When you are trying to create lists and change them this becomes very annoying. It used to just flow and typing things wasn’t a problem. The developers need to fix this. It makes using the app way more troublesome than it should be..Version: 7.47.1

✓ I searched for agesMy hunt for a notebook app which I could share with my carers was hard and long. Evernote was where I settled but I was angry when they told me that that the free version was going to be restricted to 2 devices only. I have a severe disability and due to my condition I need to use a combination of smartphone, computer and tablet. ✓ Horrible app for editingWorst editor I’ve ever used. Worse than Word, worse than Ulysses, worse than IA writer, worse than you name it. The screen constantly blinks and scrolls to the top when I am in the middle of editing. The iPad version is quite literally unusable as a document editor. The MacOS version is fine. I only use editors that I don’t have to fight while writing. I have to fight Quip ipad app second to second. No thanks..Version: 5.2.6
