✓ The best tracker app out there.I have PCOS so tracking my cycle and my symptoms is very important. I’ve tried a lot of different period tracking apps, but Clue is by far the best. I love the simple layout, the way I’m easily able to log my symptoms, and I’m easily able to view my past symptoms. Some tracking apps are complicated when they don’t need to be, and it puts you off making daily logs. The predictions are very helpful, even with my PCOS which sometimes can be unpredictable. Unlike some other period tracking apps, also, Clue premium is very affordable for anyone..Version: 5.3

✗ Lots of talk but nothing specialI wanted this app because it would send my husband updates on my cycle, I thought I would be a fun and easy way to communicate about this. The app does do this but only in a very limited way. I can’t control which notifications he gets or edit the text of the notifications. For example, I want my husband to get a notice when my fertile window is approaching and I would love to be able to edit the alert to be something fun and sexy. No can do! He gets all or nothing, so instead his phone dings, “It’s (name) PMS today!” Then follows a long medical article about pms and a note about how my acne might be worse. I can not think of ANYTHING less fun and sexy. I feel like a medical specimen in a jar. So much for empowering women. Oh, and now they just took away the fertile window entirely with a message about how it “puts too much emphasis on your fertility.” Well... that’s why I got the app. Make it optional, something people can turn on and off, don’t just take it out and leave only an option for the ovulation day alone. You know, why not just take out the period prediction too since it can also “be inaccurate,” and it puts too much emphasis on menstruation. Why not just have the app predict that every day is the same inside our bodies? That way we can just be surprised when it’s not! Who doesn’t love a good surprise right! Oh wait, I guess we don’t even need an app at all then..Version: 28.0
✗ The update wasn’t all goodThe addition of more items to track is good and I like the extra options and specificity that came with the update but the way you have to track each item is tedious. From opening the app you would need to click track, select the correct day (if not tracking something today), click the category you want to track, click the option within that category, click track, then click save. I don’t understand the purpose of having to click track AND save, frankly it would be much more effluent to just click the option and have that be automatically tracked and saved. I’m not likely to click the wrong thing but I am likely to run out of time entering data when it takes this long. It would also be much better to be able to select a category and be able to quickly find past incidences of it quickly (like a Vlookup). That way I could look for the last time I had cramps, or how much of the time I bleed heavily vs medium or light. At the moment if I want to find this information I have to look through each day, scroll down the list of items to track and notice which ones I have tracked on a specific day. The colours do not make this easier because they double up. Blue dots could mean I tracked pain or skin or hair or other things. I will be considering alternative apps that are more user friendly for data input and analysis..Version: 103.0
