But wait... they actually can work like you thought they would when you purchased them as long as you now subscribe to the ‘premium’ subscription service!! After forking out nearly £40 for the twin pack I’d EXPECT it to do those things out the box! ✓ Fraudulent practices.Be aware that they send a message at about a year telling you that you need a replacement tile due to low battery, and with that you'll notice the function diminishes. But there's actually nothing wrong with the battery. I opened up my tile, tested the battery with a voltmeter and found it to be fully charged at 3volts. It's bad enough that they send a fraudulent message to sell more product, and tamper with the device, but they also have the audacity to claim to be environmentally friendly as the tiles are 99% recyclable. Now that is rubbish - 99% recyclable? Not 98% or 97%?Recyclable is not sustainable for it still requires energy. And why am I paying $25 for a replacement battery worth about $3, when there's nothing wrong with it?.Version: 2.23.7

✓ Not loud enoughI really really wanted to love this. I misplace my keys almost single day and surprisingly I still don’t realize it’s going to happen until I’m about to walk out the door and need to be somewhere. I have run this and had it not make any sound but tell me my phone was nearby but I still couldn’t find it. I’ve had to text the company to get help on why it wasn’t working and they do not have a customer service phone number – you can only do a chat with a person online and it really is so much harder for me in speaking with someone by phone. I’ve replaced the battery several times and it will ring for a little while but then the battery seems to wear out quick and there’s no indicator of when the battery is getting low so that’s always very inconvenient. And when it does work it just is not loud enough. I have to be within 10 feet of it to actually hear it ring. I have been able to find my keys with it a few times so I suppose it’s better than nothing but a few times when I really really needed it to work it didn’t. Sorry!!!.Version: 2.89.1

✓ Why are separation alerts so limited???Dear Tile, Another 3 months have passed with no reply. “The silence is deafening”! Please also note the comments by “DJA_review”. Anything to fix the defect in progress??? Dear Tile, It’s been about a month since I made the below review..... please comment. The Tile concept is an excellent one. However, I am told by tile staff (verbal telephone conversation, June 8) that the separation alerts work only in one nominated location (at any one time)! This means that if you travel from home to taxi to airport(s) to conference centers to hotel to restaurant to hotel to shops to conference center etc. you need to keep remembering to change your “home” location every time!! Relatively pointless, as loss of items relates to busy people who occasionally forget things. Also if I lose something at home, I’m much more likely to eventually find it, compared with leaving it at one of the above locations. PLEASE, make the separation alerts work ANYWHERE, so long as the Bluetooth signal is appropriately detected (or not detected as the case may be). After all, my iPhone communicates with my car anywhere. Having lost an important item (obviously in an unknown location), the lack of the above feature is a real deal-breaker....... and I would have bought several..Version: 2.38.1
✓ Great item shame batteries are not able to be replaced.I’ve used my tile loads this last year. I’ve lost my phone keys etc and managed to find them no problem. I didn’t realise once the battery runs out you have to replace the whole tile and now one year on I’ve had a message saying my battery is low. This makes it extremely expensive to use and I most certainly won’t be paying out again for another tile. I’ve found a cheaper alternative that allows batteries to be changed. It’s such a shame as I’m sure tile will loose loads of custom. I had 4 of these and if I had realised initially you needed to chuck them when the battery ran out I would have chosen something else. There has to be a way to do it tile so get on it please because otherwise you had a perfect device that worked great.Version: 2.23.7
✓ Big issue Tike ProI’ve used tiles for almost two years. Didn’t like that I had to replace th whole unit when the batteries died, so “upgraded” to the larger, battery replacement Pro version. What a disappointment. The keys in my pocket trigger the pro inadvertently, because of the movement pressure on the devices. Same with my wallet. I get the tile app singing in my cell up to several times a day. To disable the noise, if my cell phone is unlocked, I have to open the app and disable it. Clicking on the wallet or key icon does nothing. There should be a far less sensitive trigger on these devices, or a two stage trigger that works when you press the trigger and have another finger on another area of the app, to prevent it from triggering because the keys in my pocket or wallet get normal everyday pressure. I just moved jobs and tried to change my email address: can’t, except through a three stage, add a new account, transfer the tiles to the new account, THEN, contact customer care to eliminate the original account. REALLY? I swore by my old Tiles, encouraged friends and family to add them. Now... it’s more of a pain than a solution. Richard.Version: 2.91.0

✓ Very annoying pushy “markety” appApp tries way to hard to sell you on a plan. It limits your location history if you don’t buy the plan, which makes no sense since it doesn’t require any additional effort (ie servers and/or processing power) from Tile in order for my own phone to remember the tiles’ location history. It’s like when Verizon used to charge you a monthly fee in order for your OWN phone to calculate its gps location, which ended in a class action. I’d understand if it was a free service but I’m already paying a fortune for what is basically a Bluetooth modem connected to a crappy tamagotchi speaker. Worst of all, the app is absolutely obnoxious about trying to get you to give it location access “always.” If I understand the limitations of not giving it access (ie subpar location history, which is not that great anyways if I don’t want to pay the subscription), then stop pestering me every time I open the app. FYI literally this is the only app on my entire phone that wants location access “always.” Even Google maps these days seems to be ok with “while using”..Version: 2.79.0
✓ Smart alerts helpI love tile but i wish smart alerts worked better i know its in beta but the idea is just so good to have. It doesn't work some of the times. Only sometimes will i get a notification saying i’ve left my item or items. Sometimes it till tell me i forgot my item when i have it next to my in my car or at work which makes no sense. I would just love to have the beta fixed or updated i don’t know when a full version is coming out but would love to use it when it does. Also the maps location i don’t know if thats beta or not but, when i loose lets say my purse with said tile, when i track it with its location or last known location with maps it doesn't give me the exact location its in and it will send me to a random location or say my bag is 2 minutes away it will say its 250ft when its nowhere by me or my location. It Could just be me but thats what happens when i track something via the maps and its the main thing i find annoying. ✓ Stop asking me for ALWAYS access to my location!!!!!!The app works well and is easy to use, but it needs to stop asking me for ALWAYS access to my location because it’s not getting it. Start the app and you get a full screen pop up telling you that you need to set location access to ALWAYS. Close that and there’s a red banner telling you that you need to set location access to ALWAYS. Close that, do anything in the app and the red banner reappears. I appreciate the functional limitations that not giving ALWAYS access incurs (I can’t use a tile to find my phone), but I’m okay with that, so STOP ASKING or we are going to fall out and my tiles will all be going in a drawer..Version: 2.58.0
✓ New tile warningI am not sure if the problem is with the tile or the app, but to me they are one in the same. Purchased a pair of tiles for my wife to track the cat, HoboJo. He likes to hide. To test the product before I set up for my wife I downloaded the app and set up the tile pros. Everything seems to work as expected except location info doesn’t seem accurate enough to find in the house without activating the sound, but that is not my biggest issue. I thought I would just log into my account on her phone and she would be set. NO!!! I had to set up an account for her and the when I went to reprogram the tiles to her account I found out there was no way to start the reprogram feature again without calling tile support. BAD THING IS THERE IS NO NUMBER TO CALL!!!!! now I am left with to useless chips until I am graced with contact from Tile. Yes I tried email/txt support and only received automated replies during business hours. I even dig through the trash to find the box, hoping there might be some contact info available. NO LUCK!! Seems like to me with such a sophisticated device the could add a not when pair that unpair this device will take hours of your time. ENSURE YOU PAIR THE TILE WITH THE CORRECT DEVICE UNPAIRING WILL BE DIFFICULT!!! or impossible. I am hopefully, but still have not resolved my pairing issue..Version: 2.62.0
✓ Couldn’t locate my phone within 1 ft.I purchased four tile; two for myself two for my daughter. I am constantly miss placing my phone, my keys so I purchased premium. Most the time the button on the tile gets pushed by accident and my phone goes off loudly with the Tile notification so it can find my phone. I use my phone to locate my keys half the time my keys cannot be located. My phone fell out of my pocket and after I searched high and low for it decided to use the tile to locate it and push the button probably 20 times all around my car all over the house and anywhere in between and the tile could not locate my phone. I finally dropped something by my car and had to pick it up when I bent down to pick it up. I saw my phone underneath my car maybe a foot from the edge of it. I push that tile in my car around my car and it did not send notification to my phone to be located, I found it by chance. I can be with my wallet tile all day, and it will not have a location history. I wish I would’ve purchased something else even one of the cheapies for sure I would’ve had better luck with it and would’ve been better product..Version: 2.104.1
✓ Dies fast, not a wide range, expensive per yearI preordered the product when it was still in development. It took a long time to get, but I was very excited for what it could do. The ad showed someone losing a bike and finding it with their Tile. Unfortunately, that’s not even possible. The original ad was a lie. There are not enough Tile users in their network to make something like that happen. You need other users to connect to the app to find your lost items and they have to be right next to the item. Maybe the thief could help you find it if they connected to the app standing next to your item, but what are the odds of that? I have to be right next to my cloth purse in order for it to find my keys inside it. It works half of the time. The range isn’t even a few feet in a normal (not steel) house in the same room. I had to throw away 3 tiles I had never used (not cheap,) because they make them stop working after close to a year. It didn’t tell me that when I bought those ones. It’s a great idea in theory, but there are other similar products with better range or that work with better technologies. It can’t even find your car in your driveway if you’re standing right next to it, so it definitely can’t help you figure out where you parked. Very disappointing..Version: 2.27.0

✓ No longer worksThe App used to be good but suddenly it has stopped working. The Tiles loose Bluetooth connection with the phone and will not reconnect until the are rebooted, this makes the Tile unfit for purpose. Tile customer service is good but in spite of several emails they have been unable to resolve the issue. Quite sad really as they worked well for a few months but obviously something in the software has changed. We have 6 pro tiles in the family. The app doesn’t work on either my phone or my wifes. I suspect we are not alone. It has rendered our 6 tiles useless a loss of £150. Nice idea but Tile have obviously got problems, less than impressed..Version: 2.71.0
✓ Product great, until is fails..I purchased two tile Pro’s here in Australia in October 2019. In June 2020, they failed. But because I didn’t purchase them from a “preferred retailer” or something to them, they could only offer me a 20% discount off new ones. Also, don’t bother with the premium app options, it rarely works and has been in Beta forever. If that doesn’t work, they won’t refund that either, you’ll have to ask Apple. Tile will take your money, but won’t fix any issues with any sort of genuine care. But when they work, they’re pretty cool. Shame hey..Version: 2.67.0
✓ 3 stars for the productThe tile itself is really great. I love it, and have many of them. I was excited when they introduced the one with replaceable batteries, so I don’t have to spend $25 each year to get a new one. But the app uses a ton of battery life. Way too much. The last few nights, I wake up and my phone is at 20-30%. I thought that this was because somebody bumped it off the wireless charger by accident or something. But this afternoon I looked at the battery usage on my phone and saw that it actually was plugged in the whole time, but for some reason the app was using so much battery that the charger couldn’t keep up. This doesn’t make any sense to me, it would have to be using a lot of power for that to be possible, but it happened. I understand that for the whole crowdsourcing thing to work, you need it to run in the background, but this is too much. I don’t know why all of a sudden it’s been using so much, but I turned off background app refresh and I suggest anyone reading this does the same..Version: 2.47.0
✓ Limited appI have had this app to go with my wallet and keys the find function works great for in room stuff anything actually lost outside like in a park or on a bus somewhere will require you to have premium features that logs where you have been so you can use that to track down your lost item. It will not give you live GPS location movements like find my iphone will. So I use this pony to quickly find my misplaced items instead of lost items. As for the sms or text messages that you left something behind that never worked for me, I don't know if it was a gimmick or some false advertising but no matter what it didn't work yes I had the premium service and and had the smart alerts all on but it never told me that I left anything behind. This app is a great idea but when my premium expired I was going to purchase a full year but when I saw that the wallet tracker was not in the replacement with the premium I never bothered to renew. I will always have to buy new items as the battery dies and that's OK but for what the GPS claims to do its a bit expensive imo. If it was live GPS and the smart alerts actually worked I would say yes that 30 dollars a year price is fine..Version: 2.73.1

My tile rarely connects with my phone when I double tap it (I just get the wah-waahh noise of disconnect), I get notifications that I left a location without x item (when the item left the house with my husband HOURS earlier), and the MOST IMPORTANT item I need tracked doesn't show on the map, gives me ‘notify when found’ out of range notices and tells me Ive left the region without it when it’s sitting next to me. ✓ Tile just got ‘lost’I’ve bought Tiles for my keys etc for the past few years - never had a major loss/found incident, but it was good to have a potential means of finding things if the situation arose. I’ve just bought 4 of the Tile Pro and 4 of the new Mate. The 2 Mate Tiles that I’ve activated have paired to my Tile App without any problems, but the first 2 Tile Pro units have not. One of the Tile Pro units will not activate, despite several attempts. It just times-out. Trying to activate the second, a replacement Tile for my “Keys”, results in a Tile App message that it’s already been activated. Strange. Then “Keys” has disappeared from the Tile App, and there doesn’t appear to be an option to display all activated Tiles on my account (irrespective of whether they have been assigned, i.e. Keys / Wallet). Trying to contact Tile Support results in a message in the Tile App staring that they are too busy and it may take a couple of days to respond. In my mind Tile is now a failed product. A 50% failure rate is simply not acceptable. As for Tile Premium, forget it ! If Basic doesn’t work, why would I choose to pay more ?.Version: 2.47.0
✓ Works... sometimesThe idea of a tile is to find your missing phone, yet constantly it can’t connect at close range and sometimes requires rebooting the phone when not working, not helpful if I can’t find the phone in the first place. Also the ring tone should be maximum and high frequency but it just plays at whatever level the speaker is set for. Not fully trustworthy and doesn’t give me much confidence if I actually lose my phone or keys for real..Version: 2.31.0
✓ Battery not replaceableThe app isn't that reliable in that it won't always connect to the tile even when in range. But when it does connect it works well. But the big problem is that you can't replace the battery, so you need to buy another when it runs out. This means that you are without the protection of the tile while you wait for the new one. Where as if the battery was replaceable you could switch it out straight away with a spare. You can't even keep a spare tile handy because it will run out of power while in storage. At least they should make it rechargeable If they don't want the battery accessible for health and safety reasons. It is a good idea, but the the battery should be replaceable..Version: 1.8.0

✓ Great idea, good device, horrendous appSome apps are built around a great idea and/or a clever device - but are SO bad that you just hope and pray that the company will collapse or be taken over - by ANYONE, and the app rebuilt. Even a group of high school kids would produce a better app than this sorry disaster. I could show you a dozen images taken one right after the other, of the app saying it cannot locate my cat, and the cat next to me. Because this dumb piece of software has no "Reset and try again”, and fails half the time when I REALLy need to locate my pet. These guys are so proud of their "social network" that they have absolved their responsibility of reliability, putting the burden on others. How devious is that? I can only assume the majority of good reviews are either from people using it to locate their keys around the house or a pet in an apartment. Sure. Works great for playing hide-and-seek around the house. The hardware works reasonably well. The software.. well, I wish there were "minus" stars one could award. ✓ Location Services not available so uselessOn my wife’s phone location services are not offered for this app on an iphoneX second gen, ios is fully updated. Re-starting the phone and app does add the option to the page the app takes one to, or the privacy location services options. Yes, location services are on. Help is hopeless, lists many irrelevant tutorials and the one for this does not address this scenario and then pops up an additions “customer service” login where the user ID and password don’t work, so this is the only way to let the company know their product isn’t working. Customer service is very unhelpful if you don’t have your receipt from purchase. Can’t find a phone number to call and talk to someone. ✓ Used to be amazingI used to swear by this app to give me peace of mind of the location of my house and car keys. Sadly the app has become very unreliable in the last few months. Despite only fairly recently replacing my tiles (after the original ones died after a year-ish of use), the app is very inconsistent in actually knowing where my keys were last seen. The worst recent development is that now when I double click my tile, my phone no longer rings. The point of this is that regardless of having silent or do not disturb mode on, my phone should still ring, telling me where it is. But it doesn’t. I DO get a push notification from the app, but no noise. This defeats the purpose of one of the main features of the product. Quickly losing faith in Tile..Version: 2.29.0
✓ Very inconsistentMy husband and I loved Tile in the beginning (about 3 years ago)- we bought tiles for family members and got backups for ourselves. Luckily we never needed to actually use the find function-we never lost anything! But in the last year there has been a few occasions where we did have the need to locate keys, and using the green “find” button on the app for that particular item didn’t appear. We shut phones off and on. We deleted and reinstalled the app. We checked the batteries. Sometimes it would be successful and just as often was not. I have taken to testing the app-just seeing if the find buttons would appear on either of our phones. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. It’s like a disappearing act. And of course when we really needed to find, say, the keys- no “find” buttons would appear. It’s been frustrating to say the least. If one is panicking to find the keys and it seems like you should be able to rely on a simple push of a find button to have the Tile play its little tune, it is maddening that this investment in security would fail..Version: 2.75.0

✓ Good software and lousy customer communicationI’ve used the tile successfully for a year or so, both for keys and tracking a bag while flying. All straightforward. Then tile informed me I was being sent a replacement battery as they would change policy and no longer provide them. The battery that came was the wrong size. I tried multiple times to communicate with them and they’ve successfully made it impossible. I’ll be getting Apple tracking products in future..Version: 2.117.0
✓ Too much in-app sellingBought a set of 4 Tiles to track family keys—even with a Black Friday discount, I spent $100. And what do I find at every turn within the app that manages these pricey little baubles? Relentless advertising for the premium service, on page after page. -Trying to familiarize myself with the app, I encountered ad pages and boxes littering the space, making it hard to find actual functions. - When I chose Dismiss on some top-of-page promotions, rather than Remind Me Later, the same promotion reappeared every time I returned to that page of the app. - Even on the Settings page, half of the first screen is filled with Premium options, rather than the settings I needed, which were shunted onto a second screen. This really turns me off. I paid no little sum for this bit of tech, and though I appreciate their need to promote their services, I am very annoyed at the heavy advertising hand that slows down and muddles my ability to use the tool I just paid for. After all, once you’ve set up your Tiles, you are only in the app at points of impatience and frustration. A month from now, when I’m looking for keys a teenager abandoned in a backpack somewhere in the house, I am not going to stop to pay a company $20-30 for...anything. Extra location tracking or extra usernames at that point will be beside the point—I will just want the bloody keys. An ad that gets in my way will just make me crazier..Version: 2.40.1

✓ Love/hateI have a love-hate relationship with my Tiles. I love them when they work and I hate it when they don’t. And unfortunately they don’t work quite often. I don’t get it. Sometimes they can connect superquick other times I have to push the button and push the button and push the button and push the button restart it and push the button and eventually it’ll connect. Sometimes the sound goes off. Sometimes the sound doesn’t go off. Seriously don’t get it, meaning not sure what the magic formula is for the dog gone thing to work but they seem to do this across-the-board on all my tiles and I have quite a few. Replacing the battery doesn’t help. UGGBut I won’t give them up because when they finally do connect I am super Duper excited to find my keys, wallet, or whatever else I got it connected to. ✓ Worst app everI got tile for Christmas because I loose my stuff all the time. Good Christmas present.. too bad the app freezes constantly I have the tile right by the phone and it can’t find it. I turn the app on to find my keys… it freezes I have to open and close it 7-8 times and then it works. I might as well just look for the Damn keys. It took me over an hour to hook my stuff up to the tile because it froze every two seconds. Beyond frustrating. Don’t recommend..Version: 2.91.0
✓ The up-sells are super annoyingI bought four tiles and they’re fine. But the app is super annoying. They try to squeeze every penny out of you with in-app marketing and up-sell to try to get you to pay every month for more features. I wouldn’t mind static adverts, but it’s interruptive, with ads that are disguised as features or settings. Like there is a button for sharing your tile with someone else (for instance so your spouse or grandma can also find the kids’ stuff). But when you click on the button to share you get a pay prompt. I don’t mind it in a freemium product (company has to make money) but I already paid for this! Stop it! Put that stuff in an advanced features section or paid features section. It’s not “user first”. ✓ Mostly an add for the premium serviceThe app seems to work. It can find/ring the tiles, tiles can ring it back and find my phone. The "free" (it's not free if you bought the tile hardware that only works with the app, is it?) experience isn't great though. On every screen the top half is dedicated to advertising the pro features. Instead of giving you easy access to things you can access for "free" you always have to scroll past pro features. The app also doesn't respect your privacy choices. I did not allow background updates for the app and I set the GPS use to only when using the app. I do understand it won't allow me to use all of tile's features, I'm fine with that, the app isn't. Every time I open the app it reminds me to always allow location acces, it's annoying and I'm not going to change the setting anyway, I like it this way. I thought iOS didn't allow repeated prompts from apps when it comes to any privacy settings/access but seems like I was wrong. ✓ FrustratingMy keys keep connecting to iPad not phone, so when I leave home with phone and not iPad, but with keys - my phone doesn’t know I have keys with me and I get “smart” alert. Often when I have been driving with keys less than a metre from phone. I also cannot “find” them. Keys have now reverted to phone - but a few days back it had been seven days since my phone had an update, and I could not ring the keys when at work. When I hit the button on keys, I want to ring phone not ipad. I should be able to say “I prefer THIS device to THAT”. The latest hardware seems flaky. The current design of the Tile Mate - vastly inferior to the original - means you accidentally ring your phone from the Tile in your pocket on your keyring at least every few days. ✓ Utterly Useless Customer ServiceSo I lost my tagged product at work that had a Tile on it. I lost it as the battery ran out even though I paid for Premium (where they check the batteries and send new ones out in time). This is not the first time. I tried the AI chat but it did not recognise my email (it’s a normal email) so I tried the offered SMS. It never connected to an advisor and cost me £6.50 in charges that it took me 2 months to get back after threatening them with consumer law (they never showed the charges on the app). I have been trying to get a refund on my Premium but they push me to Apple’s website but as it’s over 90 days Apple want nothing to do with it. Initially I found the standard ones to be lacking as far as volume was concerned and when those wore out, I moved to the higher level Sport tile which had a louder volume. I currently use the Pro and now that I am in my later 60’s I find that lacking sufficient volume. Were it not for younger ears helping me the battery would surely die before I find it. I have 6 TIles operating currently phone, keys, In fairness they have helped me find my keys (quickly) many times in the past. I seem to need the Tile more these days but if you can’t hear it when it is 5 feet away but covered by a blanket, why have it? In 30’s, 40’s and 50’s I’d give it 4 maybe even 5 Stars. ✓ I will be giving up TileI decided to give up my Tiles since they decided to FORCE you to allow them to track your location all the time. My iPhone keeps waking me that Tile requests my location about 200 times every 3 days. Even my iPhone finds it suspect. I would understand a little more if I was a premium user and I cared about tracking the location of my devices for a month but that’s not the case. I just occasionally need to find my keys or my phone. It used to work fine but now Tile provides you with a long explanation about why they need to track you. When you read through their lengthy explanation you realize it’s nonsense. They just expect that people will just opt in to rationalize the $30 they spent on the tile. If they put a warning on the box that says Tile requires 24 hour location tracking they probably wouldn’t sell as many as they do. We’ve all ready enough about what companies do with our data. Tile has zero justification for making you allow them to track you 24/7 just so you can find your keys once a month. Previous version of this product did not require perpetual location services and operation of the app for it to work: if the tile was in range I could ring my phone from the tile regardless of if the app was open or not; and in that same token, I could open the app and find my lost item as long as said item was in range, regardless of it the app had been open prior to my misplacing my item. Also, I recently misplaced my keys. When I opened the app, it said the last place the app connected with them was at a Walgreens I had visited. However, I used my keys to gain entry to my house hours after the app last connected with my keys. I later found them in a city 45 mins away from the Walgreens where the app stated my keys were last known to be: this is extremely misleading and could have— in and of its self- caused me to assume my keys were lost entirely as the Walgreens staff said the did not have them, and could have lead me to actually lose my keys unnecessarily. ✓ Missing the killer feature...This doesn't know where your stuff is, it only knows where your phone was when it last saw the tile.... that said, if it alerted you when certain items went out of range after a set time, that would be great and every other Bluetooth tracker does this for free, why the huge subscription for basic functions? As it is, if you leave your item in eg a restaurant it's up to you to notice it some time later and if someone had moved it from the premises it's just gone. The Tile network may be large, they quote 8million tiles after all.... But if some ppl bought more than one, some ppl havnt the app running, some ppl have not renewed after the battery had died that's maybe 2 million out of 7.6billion ppl, making the odds of another tile user with a running app being within five meters of your lost tile similar to winning the lottery. ✓ Used to be brilliant...But over the years, each new tile generation has become less reliable. And now all the really useful (and any additional) features are “premium”; costing even more money (rented—sorry—subscription of course) than the already high price of each tile. This is on top of the now completely inaccurate location service. Even with your device set to “always on”, it doesn’t always register where a tile is even when you can see it, or you actually know where you left it and it is definitely within range. Also any waterproof ones don’t have replaceable batteries and the “water resistant” ones can’t even resist humidity. A couple only lasted about a month before rusting. ✓ Limited separation alertsTile have added the functionality to buzz you if you leave home without your tile (as a subscription) - thanks for that but the real issue is leaving it behind at a restaurant or when you are out and about travelling with many connections - this doesn’t prevent it from being lost. What should happen is that when it loses Bluetooth connectivity - I should get a notification (if I have turned the setting on). Once you add the feature above (which your competitors have and which countless reviewers have been asking for in over a year) - I will sign up to the subscription and amend this review. Also - throwing out these tiles at the end of the year is not ideal at all. Also I don’t like that they say to replace the tile based on 365 days and not the actual battery level of the device. I understand their commercial model works but it’s very wasteful and I hope their subscription model goes well enough that they will add in the ability to charge a tile in future perhaps via wireless when available. ✓ UPS Was Amazed...I left my keys in Phoenix on Easter weekend and had family ship them back to me by UPS overnight. Keychain had all the important keys and a tile! The keys were lost and a claim was opened so that UPS could begin the search. I was told that it may take several days to a week to locate them (if they were found at all). At the end of the first day I remembered I had a Tile on the keychain so I launched the app and pressed “lost” to initiate the alert to all Tile app users. It took about four hours to get an email alert that my keys were found at one of the UPS buildings near the Ontario California airport. The next morning, I followed the map directions in the Tile app and it took me literally to the security gate at a large secure building. I had to make several calls to reach an employee in that building who came out to meet me. I explained the Tile system and gave them my iPhone to take back into the building and it will guide them to my keys. In less than five minutes the UPS rep returned to my car with my keys! Following her were six other UPS employees who wanted to know how the system worked and where they could buy the Tile. I found my keys in less than fourteen hours and UPS likely would still be looking for them. Absolutely incredible. If you ship anything of value, consider attaching a Tile to it so YOU can locate it in case it is lost..Version: 2.28.1

✓ Does support even exist for this company!?Hey guys so my issues is I’ve been trying to get a full refund on a set of the new Tiles but all these options online and instructions give you the run around and none of them really help you. You can’t call anyone in, the text in option through the app doesn’t even exist like it says, and they aren’t available on weekends?!? What large company doesn’t have customer support on weekends when people actually have time to do anything. Any how the app itself seems fine no issues with it for now except that you can’t hit a Go Back button on certain sections so you have to close the app completely and open it back up to get to the home section. My biggest complain about the NEW PRO TILES is that the sound goes off every other minute because the center button on the tile is so sensitive making these tiles more annoying than anything and a waste of money. It is also made of plastic which would easily be damaged if dropped hard enough which I feel was a major downgrade as I am used to the Sport version a harder shell with non-interchangeable battery that doesn’t go off every other minute because it’s easily activated by anything that even slightly runs up against it. Today I lost my phone, but every time I used the tile fob it would ring my iPad. After an hour I eventually found my phone (down the side of the sofa!) and found it irritating that you cannot select different devices from the app, (say, from my iPad) my phone had plenty of charge and was under my nose the whole time! ✓ Does not respect the silent switchI find this great and have been using Tile for many years. However, in more recent iterations of their product, they have added a feature that allows you to ring your phone from a tile. Sounds handy, but unfortunately this functionality is mandatory; you cannot turn it off. It can accidentally trigger easily if the tile is in your pocket (say, tracking a set of keys or a wallet). I've asked for years, but the makers will not add the option to disable this. It has meant that on more than one occasion where I've been in a situation where phones should be set to silent, my phone has rang loudly because I moved in my seat. So if you buy into tile, know that you won't be able to switch your device to silent anymore. In cinemas, interviews, libraries, anywhere. I find the product GREAT, and use it regularly, but I will have to give it one star until this half thought out feature is fixed. ✓ Useless because of its inconsistencyGiving a one star rating because tile has become so unreliable. I have owned dozens of tiles over many years and had been happy with their functionality. But a couple of years ago, something changed and the app now regularly stops communicating with the tiles, making them useless when you need them most. I have tried logging out and back in, which works, until it all of a sudden doesn’t. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, again this works, until without notice, it doesn’t. I rely on my tile app daily to locate phone, keys and bags (we are a neurodivergent household and misplace our belongings a lot). The quality and longevity of individual tiles has also deteriorated. My most recent purchase of a tile pro double pack (less than 3 months ago) already has one of the tile no longer working. The main reason I have stuck with tile, is the ‘find phone’ feature but the inconsistent functionality means I’m reluctantly going to go with the Apple tracker..Version: 2.123.0

✓ Bluetooth Separation AlertI recently bought a Tile Pro and regret it. Please do not even consider buying a Tile until they update the app to include an optional bluetooth separation alert - unless you only want to locate something lost nearby in a relatively secure location, such as inside your home. Without this commonsense alert you could be a long way away from your item before realising it is missing. The separation alert would notify you within a short distance after leaving the item behind - and the sooner you know it is missing the less chance it has to be stolen, and the less time and expense to return to where it was left behind..Version: 2.47.0
✓ Need a real Separation AlertPlease add a real out-of-range/separation alert feature not only when leaving a single place (with the notification popping up 1km away from the place...). We should be able to enable notification as soon as the tile is out of Bluetooth range. Then you know as soon as possible that your wallet key have been lost/stolen and take appropriate action (block credit card or so). That is almost the only thing Tile is missing but it’s a big gap compared to other the other solution on the market (TrackR, Orbit).Version: 2.35.0
✓ Privacy issuesI wanted to use this Bluetooth device exclusively at home, so have no need for my phone’s GPS location to be tracked or to view a map overlay. Unfortunately, this app will not let you disable GPS tracking - on the contrary, it will nag you INCESSANTLY to turn location tracking on, presumably for no reason other than to harvest your personal data. People who don’t understand that the app does not actually need your location data for this scenario, and that the tag does not have its own GPS, will probably just relent. Second issue is that the Tile started humming loudly and continuously 5 days after I bought it. ✓ You guys are decliningAt the very least please pretend you care about your customers! I have never written a review on anything but I am so angry that I cannot let another person go thru what I am. I was a customer from day one since you started your business and things have only declined.. I get so many false reading and there are times I test it by standing right beside the tile and it doesn’t work! ✓ Can’t find my catMy pet cat has developed a habit of visiting, and staying, in a neighbour’s garden (and house when they allow him in - which they always deny!) so I decided I needed to be able to find him and gather evidence of his location at any particular time of the day. In several tests I read the Tile tracker was reviewed as the best for pets and the app’s location history appeared to be ideal so I bought one. The app is very inconsistent with its location service and, as I am trying to locate a cat that moves and not a teddy bear or a handbag, it struggles to pinpoint his location unless he is close enough to see. The suggested range given by Tile is also reduced by physical barriers such as garden fences as the signal struggles to connect. Disappointing..Version: 2.69.0
✓ BETA or NOT BETA that is the question?Confused. I’ve noticed that TileApp are now selling a Subscription Service called Premium. I can only assume this is to compliment or a change of business model to add extra income since with Tile Pro you can now change your batteries and therefore do not have to throw away your tiles every year and purchase new. I’ve been a backer of TileApp since the Kickstarter I backed and over the last 4-5 years I’ve been very happy with replacing tiles every year at approx £100 a year cost for the hardware and service! For me brilliant tracking keys etc BUT I’m now confused by the latest Premium Service function which I’m currently Trialing Smart Alerts States is a BETA in the App which I currently have issues with. But Tile support keep telling me the App is not in BETA it has a bug with Smart Alerts which is in BETA. But I’m not in BETA. So the App is not in BETA but a function of the APP is in BETA eg Smart Alerts but overall it’s NOT BETA also for me telling me an alert after 30 minutes I don’t have my keys is useless! I know I’ve not got them when locked out of my office! So what does Premium give Location History well not exactly because the app only pings the tiles every few minutes replacement batteries and Extended Warranty not sure how this works for 30 per annum worth it??? Umm maybe Tile should stick to hardware which has got cheaper when comparing Tile Sport to Tile Pro (2018).Version: 2.46.1
✓ Tile slim walletSeveral times a day, I sit on my wallet (in back pocket) and it inadvertently activates the “find phone” feature. Which is obviously a nuisance if you’re not trying to find your phone. Where’s the option to turn this off? As per tile customer support, this option does not exist, and - stroke of genius - instead I should consider not sitting on my wallet. ✓ Hit & missI bought this primarily in order to locate my sons key when he inevitably loses it in the house. It’s fine when it works, but recently, despite having a ‘very strong’ signal and telling me that it was nearby, it wouldn’t play the sound when I used the app to find it. I deleted and reinstalled the app with the same result. The next day I tried it again, it worked and I located the key in the laundry basket shortly before it would have gone through the washing machine. It’s obviously a lot cheaper than say a pricier device manufactured by a certain company named after fruit, but I’d question whether or not it’s worth it when it doesn’t reliably perform the one function that I bought it for..Version: 2.108.0

✓ Gr8 product but hate forces notifications and advertisementsGreat product but absolutely hate the forced notifications and advertisements. I just want to find the tile find feature. It attached to a dog collar and I want it to ring if my dog is out of sight, that’s it, the Ap can do that very well HOWEVER: 1. I don’t want to use find phone feature (as apple have that very well covered and I don’t really want my dog ringing me phone by accident) but the app will hound you, and hound you and hound you with notifications to switch on “Bluetooth always”. This drains the battery. I don’t want it and don’t need app telling me to switch it on 20 times a day. 2. Every time I start the app you’ll need to close the Bluetooth notification banners again. Need to find and recall dog quickly, not until you’ve closed pointless list of notifications. Too late dogs wandered out of range. 3. They want to sell you Tile Premium and again they will push this in the app continually with banners that get in the way. I don’t want it leave me alone. Great product but absolutely hate the forced notifications and advertisements..Version: 2.58.0
✓ Seriously, we have to pay for a premium version to get basic features ;-(Your technology products are nice and I recommanded it to many friends. Some features were missing such as being notified when you forget your keys at home. But adding this feature only with a paid premium subscribtion is really not fair. ✓ MadanI just bought it a day before. It was working till last night but since this morning the app is unable to find my tiles (keys). I have restarted the phone several times, it’s Bluetooth and also the app. But it is unable to locate anything. I even tried pressing the tiles logo on my tiles, it makes a sound but doesn’t do anything else. I was looking forward to buy more of these but after such a response I’m not going to buy anymore of these or even recommend it to anyone. It’s of course a useful thing but with its limited functionality its a waste of money. ✓ Location History failsI’ve bought 2 tiles. To test the Location History I left my phone at my work desk, then walked around the Sydney CBD for an hour with a tile in my pocket, among thousands of people. When I returned to my desk I was dismayed to see not a single “connection” had been made and the Location History was as if I had had lunch at my desk. Maybe nobody has bought tiles and their entire community find feature is a big lie. If there really are thousands of people running tile apps on their phones, why didn’t a single one of them “find” my tile as I walked around? Sorry but this product seems to only work when you’re nearby to your own tile. Which makes it useless..Version: 2.40.1
✓ Good idea BUT don’t waste your moneyI bought a set of four of these, easy to set up easy to use, have helped find them easily many times BUT even though you spend $30,$60 or more on these, when you get the app you have to pay for premium to use it properly? I definitely think it should be all free on the app because we are already paying for the expensive product. It would be different if there was no product or something and it’s just a free app and then they make their money via premium, but already paying for the expensive product, and you have to pay more for premium? Either include it in your product price or don’t charge premium. Also it’s now kicked me out of the app after the new update and I have to create a new account. Now I can’t call my keys anymore. ✓ Mixed feelingsI gotta say for the most part that everything is going pretty good with my tiles. I like how even without wifi I can locate my tiles on the map(without streets) so I get a general idea of where they are. Also when I’m on my phone and I try to find my keys, the tile is very quick to respond. How ever, the only downside is that using my tiles to find my phone DOES NOT WORK. Properly at least. What I mean is that when I double click to find my phone it just keeps ringing on and on. However the moment I open my phone and go to the tile app my phone begins to ring. I think this complete ruins the whole concept of finding my phone with the tile, as in order for my phone to chime it needs to first be unlocked. I kept testing this again and again and each time I try it doesn’t work until I actually open my phone. I would truly appreciate if this was looked into because in many cases prior to this, I lost my phone and needed to find it fast but couldn’t. Thank you for you time.Version: 2.88.1
