✓ So close to perfect, yet so farI really want to like this app. It is great. But you came to the reviews for the truth. Here it is: -You can’t export in 4K :( what’s the point of a 4K camera!? (videos are LOW quality) -it produces an amazing video but there’s just that one part they cut out that you can’t easily change/add -make one tiny change or add a photo or video and it changes the entire video. This is a really big bummer. My biggest problem. I love the video but I want to add a photo or something and it recreates the video and it’s different. Cutting good parts out :( -adding in to the last point you can’t really edit what parts are included or not. You can use highlights or trim but it’s not the same nor easy. Kind of a big issue since this is supposed to be a video EDITOR. -The app crashes. A LOT! -why is this not just part of the GoPro app? I have to have two apps on my phone taking up precious space. **overall a great app but the developers really need to work harder on these points. **Now for the good stuff. the reason why it still gets the 4 stars. -Quik is Quick! Very fast -it does a really good job on selecting the scenes to include. My favorite part about this video is that I have so many pictures and when I get to put them together they pick a song for the length of the video and having all of the pictures together with a song just just warms your heart seeing all the memories put in one video! ✓ Really powerful for quick vid creationSo many things that are great about this app. (1) easy selection of highlights that you want to appear in the vid, just tap. (2) you can include media captured within our outside of your GoPro device (3) tons of well thought out templates, (4) a good selection of music for different moods, (5) this is the best part - scenes transition automatically to the rhythm of the music your select. Even if you’ve opted to import your own soundtrack this app will analyze that music and “find the beat” amazing! There is a bit of a learning curve in learning how to use it, but once you play around with it, you find that it’s really quite easy. I love that you can choose a theme for your presentation and that some are simple and then some are just plain fun! Very refreshing! My only complaint is that not all of my pictures show up when I go to choose from my photo library. Some appear as if they are just plain black boxes (don’t know how else to describe it). I could not figure out where all of my pictures were, but once I started tapping on the black squares where pictures should be, I could see the pictures that were located there. Not sure why they were hidden. I found this to simply be a nuisance and not worth a less than perfect rating for this app. Get it! You won’t regret it!.Version: 4.7

✓ Sweet! Still needs work thoughAll right, so there is a lot of great stuff about this app... yet i’m still having a little bit of trouble with it. Now, for starters, the app has no subscription, and it is totally free so I am very happy about that part! 😉 You just simply choose which photos/videos you want in your video, and it does most of the work for you! All you have to do is change the style of the video to what your would like, change the style of words, style of color, style of music, etc. The only thing which drives me CRAZY is that when I am trying to make my video, I will simply hit my home button and then go back to the app and it’s not there anymore. The only way for it to be there is to save the video. But once you save the video, YOU CAN’T EDIT IT AGAIN! It just annoying! And when I try to put the pictures in a certain position i want it, it is just really hard and sometimes it won’t stay in the position i put it in. ✓ Can’t save videosLike the app but a huge problem is saving finished video. Very often it just gets stuck at 99% or 100% and there is seems to no way to finish the saving process. Makes everything else about the app irrelevant if you can’t share or save. It used to happen on my iPhone 6 but now o have the iPhone X but the problem persists at least half the time I use it. ✓ Completely impressed!!Literally just googled “editing software for vertical iPhone videos. Got an article that suggested a few. This one was described as simple. Got it. Opened it. It had pics from different days/locations in my library bunched together with a title “An Afternoon in Sausalito” was some pics from a cool hike I took with my family over Thanksgiving. I didn’t need it but figured I’d see what they’d do: they had a title page and music and they edited the whole thing and slapped it together. I tried a different template and got the same thing with a different title page and guitar strumming which matches the mood better (but it looks like there’s an option to pull songs in from my music library too). It would shorten my videos, and 2. The music was tuning out my voice, which I didn't want. I would like to request that in your later version, you make it possible to do those with an additional yes to music? On this slide? Let different slides do and don't have music. ✓ Easy to useJust used for first time to make a video slideshow where I added music from my own library. I’m just an amateur & wanted to share more inviting videos for my baking on social media. The end result looked extremely professional thanks the the templates the app provides. ✓ Great app need of updateThis is an amazing app and would be a five star review without this flaw that’s been going on for a week. Unfortunately the app has been hesitating and glitching a lot this week possibly in need of a software update. All my edit goes perfectly fine with a couple glitches here and they’re but besides that it’s no problem on the editing. Unfortunately when I try to save to camera roll it loads to 89-90% and then stops and will not load any further stopping me from finishing and processing my own video. ✓ Good But Splice was BetterI love this program as a free editing software but there aren’t nearly as many customizable features in even the old version of Splice. This app is great for making quick compilations and things like that but when you’re trying to make a much more edited and custom video, it is very difficult, as there are many less features to customize your video with than Splice. There are many more customizable parts in Splice which make it better than this app for making anything other than compilations. Due to how Splice now costs money, I would recommend this app more, despite how splice has more features to use when editing a video..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Cool Tool!I love this app. I’ve put together plenty of videos that highlight an awesome weekend or event with it. It’s very easy to use...almost plug and play. If you drop the clips/pictures you want in, the app will create magic for you. My only gripe is that it crashes often for me. Because I’m very persistent, I just keep opening it back up, but it’s very annoying. If I create a 3-5 min video and edit some of the clips/music manually it will for sure crash at lease 10 times (minimum). I use this for real estate and ppl loves it but there isn’t many professional music and I can only use 4 of the themes which is action, Grammy , boxed and another one that shows full picture. It’s easy to use and one of the very few apps out there which I personally believe is intuitive. I hate the idea of it and the subscription concept all together. ✓ Music !!!I love this app so much but it’s a 3 star because it doesn’t let me add my own music to the videos and this is a big deal to me! I like my own instead of the Quik music library and this used to work but it just stopped all of a sudden and it won’t let me transfer my own music from this app called documents > downloads > import, because it doesn’t even give me the option to click it. Music is a big deal for me and if it wasn’t for the effects and detecting beats feature I would’ve given this a 2 star, please fix this thank you!.Version: 4.4.1
✓ AmazingI absolutely love this app! It is my favorite one thus far. It makes the best videos and allows you to add a ton of photos to tell your story unlike most of the apps I’ve tried. It easy to add your photos but difficult to navigate once you’ve done that though. I still don’t know how to slow it down or change the arrangements of the photos once I’ve added them. I have to start all over if I accidentally added a picture or there is one in the wrong order. Once I learn how to arrange them after I have added them, I would give this photo/video app a 5 star for perfect!!!.Version: 5.0.1
✓ Love it...but...I love the Quick app. It does exactly what the name of the app is Quick. I select my photos or videos, select my transition, music, and go. If I have some time, I can highlight key spots and edit with filters and make changes to the frame size. But the app literally does everything for me. I edit all my videos via iPhone so the app is super convenient to have until I can get a computer to edit on. Now the reason why I gave the app four stars is because it crashes when I try to edit 4K video. I can only edit in 1080 or less. Which is a bummer. I don’t know if the same outcome applies for the GoPro, but on my iPhone XS Max, I’m not able to edit using Quick..Version: 5.0.3
✓ Missing filters in latest update.This is a great app but developers, please bring the old filters back that you could access when double tapping on any of the transition options (it would show the red car and you could scroll through the different filters). Options included black and white style etc. The 20 new filters are good, but preferred the ones in the previous 4.7.2 version. Why take away a good feature?.Version: 5.0

✓ I. Am. Blown. Away.I have no idea where to start. I recently had my GoPro Hero 3 die and I have tried everything I know to do to fix it but it would not film videos right. Granted this GoPro is over 6 years and I filmed tons and tons and tons with it. It was my main camera for everything so I took it everywhere. I did not want to get a new GoPro because I was afraid that it might not work or fail at an extraordinary moment that I could never again see. I have bought a GP Hero 7 Black and I can seriously not say enough. It has blown me away as a camera all the things that they have improved, fixed, made easier, more fun, interactive etc. The stabilization is amazing and I love it. It is one of those things you don’t know about until you have it then you always want to have it. The software (Quik, GoPro software, Splice, Quik Desktop, GoPro app for iPhone) is fast and able to keep up with me. The joining (through the app by joining the wifi feature on the new GoPro through the app) is truly awesome and helpful. Another one of those things you have and you don’t know you have it but then you don’t want to leave it. GoPro is really one of my favorite new companies..Version: 5.0.2

The videos are always so incredible if you’re already a pretty creative person. And if ur a novice, YOUR VIDEOS ARE STILL DOPE! I wish they gave more options to really let get loose and have even more fun up in there creating.
