✓ Max video time not specified!!When importing and editing videos, there should be a notification if the maximum video length has been exceeded. I wasted a lot of time editing a video only to find out after exporting that only 3 minutes of my video was saved. I also would like the ability to adjust the default video import settings (like fitting the screen) rather than having to adjust each video individually. Those two major frustrations aside, I like the music and editing capabilities. I guess I was just trying to use this for more than its actual purpose - this is for quick, easy video output. Anything bigger than that, head to a different video editing app!.Version: 4.3.3

✓ Does what it says it can’t unless it doesn’tApparently my phone can’t support the videos it happily took itself and Quik absolutely can’t use them in a video, unless it does, which it does automatically but won’t let you do manually. In short, two stars for the amazingly comprehensive gaslighting, but deducting three stars for being unable to actually use the app for the stated purpose..Version: 4.7.2
✓ Gets the job done... most of the time.This is one of the most user friendly video editing apps I’ve had. The preset styles and the tons of free music is pretty awesome. My only problem, and one I’ve had for about two years since I’ve started using Quik, is that about 25% of the time I’ll get stuck on the downloading screen. It will say 100% downloaded, however it will stay like that for hours if you let it. And there isn’t anything you can do besides start all the way over. To try and fix it, I’ve tried to close the app and reopen it. I’ve reset my phone and tried redownloading said stuck video. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works besides scrapping the entire video and starting fresh. Having spent anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour editing videos, it’s quite annoying to have it be wasted. I can’t find a constant in which videos it will choose to do this do. Either way, that factor is why my rating is 3/5 instead of the full 5/5. I’d love this bug to be fixed..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Great app but crashing!’I love this app but it always crashes and quits on me. I have also sometimes received a message saying the some of my videos are too high res and can’t be supported but now it is not even saying that message at all, it just quits! ✓ Looks Great, But doesn’t works GreatI am writing the same review as someone has written onFeb 13. With so much of great effort, hours and hours of time on making my project, and it gets saved in Draft. If you want to open your project from Drafts, it will take almost another one year to open. You will be left frustrated, disappointed and upset. It’s been almost 32 days that I am not able to complete 3 minutes project. And when project is completed , it runs your presentation very fast and skipping some photos as well. All the music is approx is 2.55 minutes. If you want to find a 4 or 5 minutes music, go online . Music loaded on this app is good, I am not too happy with this App. It is not as great as it seems,.Version: 4.5
✓ Good, but could be better on iPad ProI’m pleasantly surprised with what this app can do, however would love to see some optimisation for the horsepower in the iPad Pro as it can struggle a little. Also some more advanced options such as setting highlight durations and speed ramping/transitions as outlined by other users would be amazing. ✓ Great quick editing app but frustratingI love the app and the ability to be efficient and make good cinematic videos in minutes but lately the app has a problem saving my videos to the app and sits at 100% for ages and never actually saves the videos so i have to quit the app to escape and this severely depletes the battery life so its pretty disapointing to get to that stage of producing your video for it not to save. ✓ It broke...twiceThe app is super helpful and works well with the gopro app. I like the different types of videos there are. However, a few months ago, everything deleted. Along with that, all of my media that I had saved from my gopro deleted (not a huge deal, but it took a very long time to get my media loaded). I just made a seven minute long video today and when I tried to save it to my camera roll, it got stuck at 82%. When I went back and closed out of the app and opened it again, the previous videos I had made and this seven minute video was deleted. I’m extremely disappointed in this app and I hope the problem can be resolved. I asked support and nothing helpful came out of it. Also, I’m confused why the app is using six gigabytes if it completely reset..Version: 5.0.3
✓ Awesome! but there’s one thing...This app is incredible the way it makes the videos but it doesn’t support the iPhone’s 4K. ✓ Too Many Effects & FiltersI don’t like having filters on my videos/photos. The only thing filters ever seem to do is make your media look less vibrant, and who would want that? My videos are primarily of my pets though, so I like them to be full-color. There seems to be no option to do that. Every setting uses muted-color filters and B&W effects. Blah. I also couldn’t find any decent Christmas music to put over my project. There was one Christmas song but it wasn’t a good one. I’m going to just use GoPro’s other excellent video editing app instead. I think Quik could be useful with additional options added, but it’s not for me at the current state of development. ✓ Photos Won’t Fit to FrameI’ve been using Quik long before it was named Quik and have loved it. But I am in a perpetual battle trying to get my complete photos to show up in the frame. I choose “fit” for my vertical photos but the playback shows them as widescreen and cuts off the focal point. I try to trick the software by adding a copy of the photo and then deleting the old one and it worked a couple times but not all the time. Then if you select a different theme it happens again. Tried using the raw theme and selecting full screen with no luck. Depending on the theme some are cut off and others aren’t. But my gripe is selecting “fit” doesn’t actually fit it like it used to.Version: 4.7.2
✓ Bugs after updateThis was an amazing app but since the last update there seems to be a few bugs that need looking into. The videos won’t save, they stick at 55% and you can’t delete the projects off the app to free up space. I can’t make any more videos until this is looked at. ✓ Good app, but crashes keep it from being greatThe app is easy to use and makes some good short videos really fast. It has a good selection of effects and music (wouldn't mind if they added more!). It is super easy to use! I also really like that it uses old photos from your library and create a new video! But it crashes alot. Haven't quite figured out why, I'm thinking it can't load large videos. I tried editing a large Quikstory, which caused it to crash. Now when I open the app it immediately tries to edit that QuickStory and it would crash. So I can't even edit or download any existing videos. I have to delete and reinstall the app to get it working again and all the videos I created are gone. Worked with customer support and we were not able to figure it out. Good app, but just download your videos once you are finished in case the app crashes infinitly..Version: 4.4.1
✓ Great video editing app with some flawsI would like to give this 5 stars but it’s just not there yet. It’s a great app for someone looking to edit their go pro or phone clips on the fly. It’s easy to choose the content and to learn how to the features. It’s priceless to have an ai do most of the editing for you. It’s not perfect but you can still edit each clip to finalize your edit. I couldn’t make use of the feature to arrange clips in different order because it kept crashing. I almost stopped using it but I was so invested in the edit that kept trying. Hopefully they can fix the issues bc this app is great If it worked consistently..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Glitches and no text optionsEvery once in awhile it will just freeze while saving. It gets to 100% then just stays there. I try to go back to restart editing and I can’t. Try to save in other ways and it gets to 100% then freezes. I tried shutting the app down then restarting, but it takes me right back to the same screen. I ended up having to completely delete the app and download it again. Lost all my previous videos!!! Also I wish you could customize the text and edit where in the video it goes. I will sometimes have 2 minute clips and would like to be able to insert text later in the clip or have them on the clip longer than 1 second. Also would like to have some font choices!! ✓ App is STUCKI loved using this app up until two weeks ago when it decided to never load any videos i add on anymore. I have made countless videos with this app love how you can create so many different styles, everything worked well up until two weeks ago when i went to make a new video, uploaded around 8 clips ranging to the 1 minute and 48 seconds. I go and trim the videos and go to duration section and it’s stuck on 23 seconds. Nothing will change i change format from square to cinema and it stuck just loading and loading, i have deleted the app completely reinstalled and still stuck on 23. I deleted all info from iCloud app and re downloaded it. Still stuck, i hope gopro resolves this issue fast if it’s an update on iPhone issue. Or a software issue on their end but i have been wanting to make a video for the past two weeks and can’t at all.Version: 5.0.3
✓ Great but...This honestly is really cool... I love all of the features but for me it’s hard to add my own music so if you could make it where it isn’t such a struggle to add music I might give another star. Also the one thing that really pisses me off is when I’m in the middle of editing my GoPro “movie” and it just crashes... I tried going in and it just did that to me again and again and again. I even restarted my phone. Nothing. I had to wait a couple of hours until it finally let me work on my project again. This is really annoying and therefore I give you 3 out of 5 stars. ✓ Rubbish, they don’t have transitionsIf you want to choose your ownFootage, the stuff that’s actually good, they don’t allow for transitions. It’s rubbish. U can have transitions if you let them pick all your videos. And they don’t let you get rid of a HIlight if you accidentally put one on. Minor SuggestionsAs someone who does full on editing through Final Cut, Adobe etc. I love the quick and easy approach to this app. I love how it organizes and chops clips to fit the tempo of songs. I just wish there was a way to save an editable file. Since it compresses the video, there’s no way to edit your individual clips again if you end up wanting to go back and make a small change. I would also like the option to get adjust or completely rid of certain transitions. I sometimes run into an issue where the video fades out too quickly at the end of my video causing some footage to not be seen. These issues are minor yet tedious. Other then that, it’s easy to use and efficient!.Version: 5.0.3

✓ UghhThis could possibly be one of the best editing apps out there. The only and major problem I had was the music. The app somehow wouldn’t allow me to choose certain (most) songs out of MY music library(Apple Music). I would choose the song and it would start to load and never finish. I put up with this slowly loosing hope for hours and hours. I just wanted the perfect song but due to unfortunate and unprofessional bugs in the app, I wasn’t allowed to do so and let me tell you, the music selection they provide is not so good itself. I looked into it to see if it was a copyright issue but turns out that they pay for all of the copyright so that their users can use the music they please. Looks like it doesn’t work. ✓ Bugs!!!This is potentially a great app, BUT a project never survives long edits! I mean after some tweaking - adding/removing clips, trimming, etc. all of a sudden, my projects get corrupted every time, before I even can save it, because I have no idea when exactly the death of it is coming! It’s soo frustrating! I was almost done with my third project (the first two were brutally corrupted) and here it happened again - an error occurred, it said! And there’s nothing to be done, but to start all over again and hopefully be able to bring it to the finish line this time! Such a gamble! What a shame! This app is not powerful enough for comfortable and sturdy edits! Please, work on it! The app needs improvements!!! I hope these problems will be fixed soon! ✓ I would not recommendThe templates are really cool and look quite nice for casual uses. But, the app is glitchy and crashes constantly. I haven’t been able to save a video because of this and because it takes forever to download. I left it for a whole day (about 9 hours) and it was stuck at 63% loaded! ✓ MUSIC Incorporation NO LONGER WORKS!This (the fact that you could incorporate your own songs/music) though very limited and ONLY from "One Drive" was one of the Main reasons I stayed with this somewhat limited app for the past FOUR years.. but as of two months ago, when it comes to the end of the editing, and you're excited about putting your own music on the clip.. "The Content is NOT available due to technical difficulties" is ALL you get.. ✓ Ok appOk app. What I don’t understand is that if an app is just simple like I have video shot in portrait mode and want it to crop in squat without any effects then that’s not possible with mute or default background music. I have got video which shows many effects which I don’t want but just want to turn it into squar view so that vertical long height view can be adjusted. This app gives many options this and that but not simple minimalist one option that get your video chane to square mode and then mute or keep default sound. Problem is that even if I use raw format and then select squar it doesn’t crop right way as like we select other effect and then squar. I don’t know who designed such a forceful effects then only change to square mode. Just ok fancy app. Better than stupid iMovie app which is good for nothing complex confusing app in which one cant even no where file is what happening to it where is that going..Version: 4.5

✓ Glitches and crashesGuys amazing app but omg the glitches and crashes are the worst. 5 star for its simplicity, user friendliness, amazing effects, I love it. Unfortunately the crashes are so frustrating, not just any crash I mean the kind that you spent a couple hours editing and creating the best video and suddenly the apps completely closes, you reopen the app and you better cross your fingers. It might be there and might be completely gone. Please, please, please I know it’s a free app but come on it’s the best of the best GoPro you can get this to work better. And yes it glitches sometimes playing two or three songs in one video. You select one but suddenly you have multiple songs intertwined in the video. Preview Thumbnail cannot be selected in settings so that when you upload the video to social media, your video preview thumbnail isn’t BLACK (this is the automatic fade in). This dramatically impacts the number of views the video will get. No one feels enticed to click on a black screen. 2. Movie does not save for IPhone XR Created a movie. Left the app open to save to library for an hour. Still didn’t save. Window just displays a processing icon at 100% but never processes. ✓ Time marks completely wrongAbsolutely one of the most frustrating things I have ever dealt with. This app does not keep time correctly and makes it nearly impossible to edit videos into desired time segments. The time signatures literally jumps from :30 to 1:30 and when that gets to 1:59 the next tic goes back to 1:00, then Repeats the same stupid process. When it gets to 1:30 it jumps to 2:30 and then when it gets to where it should read 3:00 it goes back to reading 2:00. Mind you the video itself isn’t jumping just the time is completely incorrect literally the whole time. If simply will never read right and is a living hell if you want to edit your videos to fit into social media time constraints because the time marks are completely off and not chronologically correct.Version: 5.0
✓ Limited controlsApp is ok but why can’t I split longer clips into separate segments? The only way to do so is to duplicate and trim the same clip over and over again - painful! Also even after rotating an upside down clip, when conducting further editing the clip is again upside down! Why aren’t rotation changes carried over when making further modifications? ✓ Something has changedI used to use Quik for my Instagram stories A LOT. I was very happy with the app and would probably rate it 5 Stars has it not had a change which causes portrait photos to be mirrored and have reflection to fit with the screen which they never had before. I absolutely hate when people change what was working and you have to move onto another app - it’s what happened with iTunes years ago. ✓ Has the basics but could be a lot betterThis app has the basics and for someone who needs to create quick, decent-looking product videos (for FREE), but the app itself is just OK. Some of the features appear to be buggy, or are just weird. The duration feature is useless, it seems to set images to whatever duration it wants (long usually is OK, but regular and short, no). Quik tells you you have to upload at least five images but if you upload five and then delete one later it’s fine... I noticed today that one of the templates was combining two of the images into one for whatever reason, but if I changed the order then all the images would be separate, it was just two specific images. I don’t get it. So yea, the app is just OK..Version: 5.0.3
