✓ The bestI have tried every other File manager, this is the best. Documents by Readdle used to be my favourite, the only drawback being that you had to download documents to your device before reading. This quickly ate up space. The best feature of Documents was the syncing of folders. I miss the syncing feature and should be grateful if this could be added to Files United.Version: 1.4

My 4 star score is based in part on the comprehensive feature rich nature of this program. The lions share of my high rating goes to Hans at the main office in Munich who notified me via email of the latest updates. I have owned a number of small businesses, personal contact from staff regarding products, services and support makes all the difference between a business floating along or thriving. ✓ Great Space Saver!I'm a professional photographer, and with my new Olympus OMD E-10M camera, I can now shoot live with my iPad. I also can download images as I shoot, which saves downloading time. However, my problem is space. This allows me to download all my images to my iMac, and using Screens, I can remotely control my desktop. Using this with its counter part on the iMac allows me to download and clear out my photo from my iPad, but I can use the program to review images and upload only those I wish to edit and FTP to my client. I will be posting my workflow with my iPad on my blog in a couple weeks so everyone can benefit from hauling around a heavy laptop. The images with the editors I use are just as good as Photoshop (actually, photoshop as a number of apps that uses the photo engine of the current Photoshop Elements..Version: 1.5

✓ Best SMB access app on App StoreI got this app primarily for access to my home server files (a WHS machine). It is hands down the best app of its kind that I've tested and I've tested probably 10 or so. The speed of access is maybe 3 times that of its nearest rival. If you want to access files on a SMB share then this is the app for you. I've just discovered that you can 'open in' any files by long pressing the file, clicking the '...' Icon and choosing 'open in'. That makes this a category killer for me as I use another app to store files on my ipad..Version: 1.4

Some missing feature I would like: youtube download, text file edit and creation, special folder that avoid icloud backup, option to compress image to smaller png or jpeg. ✓ Brilliant!It's always seemed hassle to download documents and working drawings from my work PC and Mac to my iPad but not anymore. From my work PC I put the info onto memory stick and plug it into my Mac (due to work not allowing us to have software not approved by company I.T. on a work PC ) From the Mac theres a nice easy interface to drag files into and, as long as their communicating via the same network, the files are instantly on my iPad!
