✓ 500 reasons to pass on this appI’ve played 500 bid all my life. This game is so frustrating. So many glitches to work out. Start with bidding. If your opponent bids 8 spades, it won’t let you bid nello. If your partner bids 7 diamonds and you bid 8, and you get the bid, and you both are the only ones with diamonds, it keeps leading diamonds, drawing all your trump. The computer will throw out a guarded king first and so many other bad moves. I scream every time I play. Your partner will bid 8 diamonds (or any suit) with no bowers or the joker and lead with an off trump suit. Uggg.Version: 3.2
✓ Strategy needs workWish the strategy of this game was better, especially when playing in the partner mode. There is no need to continue playing your trump when your opponents are out of trump. All that does is take you and your partner out of trump when it’s unnecessary. Also, when playing misare, you only need to play a card that’s under the highest card, doesn’t always mean you have to play the lowest card in your hand. A lot more bids would be won if the strategy of this app was improved..Version: 2.5
✓ Suggestions...Hi James - great work on the game, it’s awesome! A few minor improvements to the partners game-play could make it so much better however. 1. Calling as many tricks as needed to win: Why does my partner insist on calling the highest number of tricks possible when we only need a smaller number to win? Example - we’re on 490 points, no one else bits yet my partner goes straight to 8 hearts (invariably losing) when only 6 was needed? 2. Wasting high cards. The partner seems to play their highest card even if it is going to lose. Example - the opposition plays the joker, although my partner cannot win they still play a jack/ ace etc while they hold lower cards. The next hand the opposition plays a lower card which we could have beaten... 3. In line with the above, when the opposition is leading my partner seems to treat jacks of the same colour (left or right) as regular jacks - and as such throws them off instead of the queen, king or ace trump cards (if they’re holding any). Bid dialog hides current bid, score, and who bid what so there is no context for a bid. Touching a card in the hand forces some cards off screen and are inaccessible. ✓ Extreme 500I cannot recommend this app to anyone as there are no options to change anything. And by anything I mean anything! You can't even change the sound to turn it off with in the game, let alone any of the other options that a serious 500 player would want to have in a game! ✓ Piece of junkI want my money back. This is a terribly written game. The rules are messed up. How can there be a four or five card kitty? That makes no sense. You only get to swap one card with the kitty! Where is Open Misere? The cards are played too quick so you can't keep track of what was played without touching the stack in the middle each time so it splits them up to show what was played. So much wrong with this app, I'm surprised apple even approved such a piece of junk. Refund please! Oh, and who'd you pay to give you a 5star review....?!!.Version: 1.0

✓ Not 500 as far as i knowPlayed 500 for years and they way this is played is like no other way i have seen played. There are 5 cards in the kitty, opposition receives points when playing misere and there is no open misere. Worst of all there is little artificial intelligence. Your opponent makes stupid moves by playing trumps even when the oppositions are all gone. Would prefer my money back..Version: 1.1

✓ Extreme 500 , game flawsPlease fix the app so the partner does not come back immediately with a joker when playing a no thump hand. Very annoying to bid no trump and have a hand full of a suit and then have the partner put a joker on it taking the trick. There is no way to get back into the bidder’s hand when this is done. ✓ Hopeless AppThis App is useless if anyone genuinely knows anything at all about playing a quality game of 500. For example, in a 3 hand game, Computer 1 successfully calls 6 Clubs and leads the Jack of Spades, I then follow with the Jack of Clubs, thereby winning the hand. The problem is Computer 2 then over trumps me with his Joker. However, in subsequent hands Computer 2 still has smaller clubs cards that he could have played. In a 4 player game this weakness is even highlighted more when your Partner over trumps you when you’re in an obvious winning position and wastes a valuable suit card. The game structure is NOT set up to try and defeat the player who successfully calls! The other problem I see is that the game has been designed so that the successful calling Computer players always start with leading their successful suit, then switch to another suit on the second trick then immediately switch back to the trump suit. It’s simply way to predictable!.Version: 2.8
✓ Needs workThings to do to fix the game 1). Scoring for misare (nello) is wrong. If bidder fails, his trick totals should be points for opponents. 2). Computer strategy for misare is non existent. It plays lowest card no matter what. 3). Your partner almost never bids. He had joker, right and left Bauer, and several lower Damond's and passed. Easy 8 or 9 bid. 4). Partner play is sometimes good and other times terrible. He ducks tricks he can take. Pulls trump when opponents are out. 5). No trump hands should make you follow suit when you have joker. You play ace and AI plays joker and then leads king. Things to make it better. 1). Allow 5 player call your partner. 2). Allow double misare (double nello). 3). Misare should allow partner give you one card like Hoyle. Double and you get to pass kitty to partner after hand is set. Also 4). Computer needs to learn to short suit. Computer seems more likely to keep 2 kings than one king and protection for king and ditching the other suit. 5). Computer never keeps protection. If computer has 2 kings and protection card for one of them....with both aces out there. It will keep both kings which will lose without protection instead of one king and the smaller card of same suit..Version: 1.1

The team that does not make the bid does not get 10 pts per trick when the other team makes their bid, only when the other team does not make their bid. There is no link to game enter as promised. ✓ DEVELOPER DOESN’T READ REVIEWS!!!!!!Numerous fundamental errors that shows the developer has no idea or understanding of the game nor the rules! - The systems allows a 6 no trumps call to be “trumped” by a 6 no trumps call. - Don’t know what rules apply to bidding for Misere + can’t play Open Misere; - The cards don’t auto-sort at any level.....very frustrating! - In “no trumps” it allows the joker to trump a suit even if the hand holding the joker has the led suit in it; - Can’t nominate the suit of the joker when leading it in no trumps. These are just some of the fundamental flaws in this game, no to mention the illogical play of the computer as an opponent or a partner. ✓ Good gameI like the fact that there is a 5 blind! Would be nicer if the cards were a tad bit bigger hard on old eyes... ✓ Just okI love 500 Bid. Have played it since I was a kid. I'm glad the writer tried but it's just average. I would rate higher if you could see all four cards that were played instead of on a pile on top of each other. It's so fast I can't remember what card my opponent just played. Each card played should be put down in front of the player and when all four have played the four cards would form a + sign so all four can be viewed at the same time. Also PLEASE regroup my hand by suits and in descending order after swapping with the cards in the nest. Also the Ai is horrible. My partner trumps me and NEVER has he won misere, yet he keeps bidding it. Come on bro fix these issues. I paid good money for this junk!.Version: 1.2

✓ Needs more for the price tagOverall a very good game, with great polish. The core gameplay of 500 is well executed. However the following should be considered: There is no online (world) or local (Bluetooth/wifi) multiplayer. You can only play against the in-built AI. I wish I knew that beforehand. I always like to take on a random online opponent. Secondly / lastly, the menus, welcome screen and other headings are bland. Very bland, that it looks like a high school project. ✓ Not completely realistic play by partner.Not bad but there a couple things I don’t like. It’s almost impossible to win with a partner. My partner is constantly making bids where he gets 3 tricks but he bid 8 or 9. It’s ridiculous! Also, sometimes your partner plays cards very stupidly. Anyone who plays the game holds onto higher cards when they don’t lead. My partner always throws high cards no matter what. One game I threw a card in the suit and my partner threw an ace in another suit. The next hand I threw a card that was in the suit he threw previously, he threw a 4 in another suit! No one who plays the game, whether throwing off or not, would not play the game that way!!!!! You make the partner super dumb and the other computers super aggressive and smart. ✓ Moving and pick pileI am still unhappy I cannot move my cards around before I bid. I like to put my cards in the order I want to see them to bid. The only time you can move cards is if you take the bid. I have not played the actual card game with friends for quite a while. Rather than 3 cards to change when you get the bid, I thought it was 5. Hope you can change these things because I love playing the game. I like the new changes you have made to show bids on the table. The cards are hard to reorder and the high trump cards aren’t in the order of playing eg j is always after the queen when that suite is the trump. Have to admit bit on the picky side have been playing another for 6 years but now doesn’t work on iOS 11 and very use to that one. Could there also be a setting for not being able to win on tricks! ✓ Better than most but extremely glitchyI don’t know who wrote this program but they obviously have no understanding of how to play it. All my comments are with me playing the computer only. The programmer has no comprehension as to how to make bids. For example we may only need 10-30 points and the opponent is way behind, and they both have passed, so logically you would at most make a 6 bid to win the game. But not this programmer he has my so called partner bid 8 and then really didn’t have the cards to bid even 6. Then as previously stated in a review my partner will play a card that the hand is already mine and then cause us to be set. ✓ Not a real good 500 playerYou never lead the joker first when you make it no trumps, you save it so you can get back in the game. You never play top card when your partner leads, when you have smaller trumps, it makes your partner think you have no more trumps. You also don’t call 7 of the same trump when the opponent before you calls 6, it’s quite obvious the person who developed this app a very poor 500player. Please tweak this game to make it better. Also once opponents are out of trumps, play your suit instead of playing trumps and robbing your partner of all his trumps, but appears you haven’t tried to correct anything so don’t see anything happening to make it better. When your partner has the trick, and you are the last player never take it when you have a smaller trump in your hand absolutely has no idea how to play 500. Fix it. Whoever done this App doesn’t know a thing about 500 why would you play the right bower on the Joker when you have a smaller trump in your hand. Your partner doesn’t take your trick with the joker after player one card in no trumps is played as you usually have a run down in one suit and cannot get back in. ✓ Needs fixingThere are some serious issues with the algorithm. No-Trump: The joker is always played by the computer players when you play a spade. You can play the ace of spades and even your partner will take the trick with the joker! (Not how it should happen). It goes vis versa as well—you play the joker and everyone else plays a spade if they have one. Oh, and the opponents won’t play the joker until the last card, if you happen to not play a spade in the round. There are other quirks as well, but I don’t have the time to get into it. ✓ Bad ComputerThe computer partner is too frustrating. It is programmed to lead with an off suite ace (which is fine) or/then play its highest trump card. This means you start losing your trumps straight away or the opponents joker it, stealing a bower. ✓ Sus dealingAdmittedly the sample size is small, I’ve only played around 25 hands so far. But of those 25 hands I’ve only had about 3 worth even thinking about bidding on, normally I get hand that has a few of each suit but not a lot of any one of them. Meanwhile 80% of the time the AI bids 7 or 8 wins and easily gets them because they have 8 or 9 of a single suit and another ace or two for good measure. First, it doesn't seem to allow you to play other live players, which is disappointing. I guess I'm spoiled by the big companies like Zynga. The screen overlay when you are bidding tells you the highest bid but also HIDES your partners bid - which is a very important thing to know when playing 4 player. Also helps to know any other bids for planning strategy. 2. Cards still move off left of screen 3. Rearrange my cards in a meaningful way. If you take hidden cards, they are place where the cards you replaced were. So, you wind up with the joker in the middle of your diamonds and spades and your heart run looks like 6,7,8, 5 of spades, 9, 10, queen of clubs. Diffuicult to plan out when you cant areange your cards. 4. Partner has bid 8 of a suit with no jacks or jokers in their hand. Not good AI..Version: 2.2

✓ OK but needs a few tweaksFirst thing that needs fixing is to provide the capacity for sorting of cards into suits in your hand, and the associated weird way that cards fly to the far left if you try to sort them. I actually played a hand today where the card I wanted to lead disappeared from the screen altogether and was not seen again until I led with another, less useful card! Bot opponents perhaps could use better strategies for playing against misere -why play the lowest card in a suit if you partner has already won the trick? Also there’s a tendency for your partner to keep leading trumps even where the opponents have clearly run out, draining my trumps unnecessarily. I also agree with others that the dealing animation is tedious, and I would much rather have the hand just appear..Version: 2.3
