MuseScore: sheet music for Positive User Reviews

Good app but surprised by sudden subscriptionI had a look at the app and decided to use the free trial two days ago only to find out today I’ve been charged for a yearly subscription. Having said that it’s a great app so after the surprise I’m happy to use it seeing that I have paid for it..Version: 2.8.30

AmazingI’ve been looking for a sheet music app for more than 2 weeks now and nothing I’ve tried is as good as this. All the other apps we can only read if we pay the rial but this app is for free. Thank you..Version: 2.6.3

Great App.This is a great app for finding sheet music and it has almost every song you can think of. Just one small problem, sometimes the application freezes and closes when opening a score or when executing any function like playing the score from the beginning. Please have a look into it since it usually resolves after an update, but later on breaks again. Otherwise great app!.Version: 2.10.03

Good job!Nice version for Mac. Makes it easy for educators and students to use..Version: 2.9.06

ReviewI use the app several times a week to rehearse for choir. Our choir mistress writes songs for us to practice at home. Generally I think it is a very clever and successful app and I enjoy it very much. I am asked to write a review with the announcement that the app has been improved in other words before I have had a chance to test it. From yesterday’s go: It can be fiddly to get a measure to repeat itself especially if it is not in the middle of the screen as it can turn the page. I would like the metronome to be louder when we are listening to all partitions. Sometimes the metronome turns itself off in a song when you haven’t asked it. It could be interesting to choose the type of electronic sound we listen to. e.g. like a piano or like human voices. Perhaps a couple of years down the line you could incorporate a microphone so that we can hear ourselves sing or play against the music. I use an iPad but I saw it on a friend’s computer where there were options. I am not sure I need that for what I do but the potential seems excellent. Thank you Jocelyn.Version: 2.4.1

After Support, I Feel BetterAfter Support: Now that support has contacted me, I feel much better. For some reason the pro version I purchased liked to a different musescore account I used to use. I’m currently trying to figure out if I can move it to my active account. I still recommend using the computer version of musescore when possible since it is more put together than the mobile version, but the mobile version is convenient if you need to access your songs in the go. Before Support: I’ll change my review when I (1) get the pro version I paid for or (2) get a refund. I’m emailing support later to see if they can help me, but as of right now, they scammed me out of 6.99. Just use the website; you can use every feature free there..Version: 2.9.03

Good, but could be betterMuseScore is a great platform, only problem is that some unpopular songs aren’t on there..Version: 2.12.96

FabulousThis is amazing. I used it hate playing the piano but know they actually make it fun! But there is one problem; subscription . I just think maybe downloading shouldn’t need subscription. Anyway this is amazing I rate 5 stars! :D.Version: 2.6.8

Paid subscription - have no accessPaid for a subscription - access was never made available - contacted app- absolutely no reply - really disappointed.Version: 2.12.69

The app of a music reading muso dreams! Fix up the menu bug!Incredible work, only issue is I can’t see the menus! Same on the iPad version so you blindly stab around where they are and eventually get there.Version: 2.8.26

Muse scoreVery handy.Version: 2.4.0

Search doesn’t workWhatever I search, it doesn’t display any search results.Version: 2.12.50

Fantastic appThis app is a great alternative to Music Notes and there is hardly anything bad to say about it. On Music Notes before I didn’t want to spend like £2.58 on a piece of music and having to pay like an EXTRA £1.00 to print individual sheets so could only print samples whereas on Musescore I can get the full piece for free. 😀.Version: 2.1.0

The App I've always been looking for!I'm a self-taught beginner/intermediate learner and have always found having to buy songbooks just for a few songs you like in the book is burdensome financially. However, this app is just awesome with so many easy arrangements and the bonus is that you can actually learn from listening to the recording files that accompany each sheet music. Thank you very much, developers, for your effort 🥰.Version: 2.8.30

I love MuseScore!I've been using it for a while now and hope to continue for many years to come. It's great for producing arrangements for our band and then extracting the parts for the players. Also I can edit files arranged by other band members and change the fonts and layout to make it easier to read my part. I've now found out how to mark the dynamics in bright foxglove pink, and the coda sign in maraschino! Band members find this most helpful. 😀 Thank you.Version: 2.5.16

This is a great app to learn fromI am using this all to teach my self how to read sheet music without the teaching payment and it is working because you can see the notes on a piano. There is also lots of accurate scores to choose from. There was only a few things which I found to be ‘A minor’ 😉 inconvenience..Version: 2.12.20

Musescore is great but,I love using Musescore and I have been for quite a while now, however I do not like the new update because I can’t access my favourite sheet musics anymore and it was the easier to use it instead of searching it up each time. I definitely reccomend this to any other musicians looking for access to hundreds of sheet musics out there..Version: 2.6.3

An incredible app that makes me want to playLooking for scores can be such a hassle sometimes and often when Im looking for a decent interpretation for a piece I like Its always behind some paywall. This is THE place for free music and honestly with the amount of people making scores for this app its not limited to just one genre or level. From begginer to experienced EVERYTHING is here. I began using the payed version after they made a limit for the ammount of scores you can view per day but tbh the limiting wasnt really a problem in the first place. I only have the premium just to support the app because of what it got me through from my first few years learning piano. Now, with the free version you can still do just as much and Id recommend everyone trying musescore at least once. Final note: One of my crazy music friends straight up composes pieces on this app and its impressive what he can do, so just the sheer power of musescore is impressive. Tldr; Cool app, fun scores.Version: 2.12.80

ThanksI.Version: 2.5.10

Amazing appsIt’s an easy app to use to compose songs you created! I like it.Version: 2.4.4

Absolutely amazing freebie!!!I am a Secondary School Head of Music in Bristol and for Schools like ours with no money to play with this is an absolute god-send! Thank you so much to the developers and everyone involved in making this wonderful software available to people who couldn't otherwise afford to learn to notate / compose.. more evidence of the good side of humanity and 'inclusivity' within the music community!! Bravo ⭐🤓⭐.Version: 2.0.2

SuggestionI’m a laptop and iPad user for musescore, I have to say ,musescore on laptop is just amazing. Though I can just compose on laptop then transfer onto iPad n play it, but I think it would be great if the compose function can be created on the iPad version too, and maybe even with Apple Pencil to allow iPad Pro user literally writing music. Also is that I’m not sure why sometimes instrument is not playing the right sound on iPad and iPhone, like violin and drum. Please take a read.Version: 1.13

Great app, however, there is a bugSorry if this review has a typo, because I cannot see what I am writing, so apologies in advance. This is just q of the many bugs like when you drag the play thing, is starts glitching like crazy, and when you zoom in using the feature (I forgot what is called) it doesn’t follow where the play thing is. When bo th of those are applied it starts shaking (screen) so you basically can’t see anything. Please fix this bug. Thank you for your time!.Version: 2.12.91

ExcellentThis app helps me for performances and exams. It really helps me with my instrument playing. My playing is getting better just because of this app. I would suggest this app to anyone that wants to play an instrument from the beginning because this app has loads of pieces to choose from..Version: 2.12.02

Great app but some problemsI’m overall happy with MuseScore but so far I couldn’t view any scores I published from iOS app, while they are fine from web browser, have lodged a ticket a week ago but no one respond. Hopefully it can be addressed soon..Version: 2.12.40

MuseScore the AppMuseScore itself is absolutely brilliant. Our little singing group has been using it for quite some time now. The app is a MuseScore player; great for rehearsing on the go and getting that all important practice in. But you can’t edit the scores. You can, however, isolate just your part, loop tricky sections and speed up or slow things down to help you get your part right. Wouldn’t be without it..Version: 2.0.12

New update is incredibly hard to scrollHi there, I believe a lot of other users is having this problem that I had after the update on 9 July. The app wad always great to use and convenient before this update, but after the update the SCORES became incredibly to scroll and it keeps popping out ads of premium for auto scrolling. Upsets that have the auto score ad problem could go to the settings of the score which is the fifth button on the right up corner that looks like three lines and three buttons, you click in it and scroll down then you will see the auto scroll button you could click to turn it off so the ads won’t come up. And to MuseScore I think the new update made the scores incredibly hard to scroll and it should be fixed because it is a huge effect to the experience of this app. Thanks :).Version: 2.9.01

Not good.. GREATIt is a very useful app that helps me find pieces I love and learn them with easy to understand formatting, metronome, pace.. I only think that an improvement should be that there should be a way to allow note names to appear above the notes. Maybe add a button which activates this. Otherwise this is a very good tool to learn with.Version: 2.12.50

Really goodReally good, but they could work on the sound of the instruments..Version: 2.8.25

Excellent music and instrument choicesI’m very pleased to say that I enjoy using this app, this app has a range of different instruments and a huge variety of songs to choose from. It has a small tutorial! Highly recommend 👁👄👁👌🏻✨.Version: 2.8.30

Great app for writing musicWe are music teachers and this app is really useful for us in our work. Its not been difficult to use, especially once we’d got our heads around how to use the program. I am not a fan of digital technology I use it because it makes work life easier, but i do like MuseScore I even enjoy using it!.Version: 2.8.34

Absolutely ruined by 1 bugI love Musescore, and it has really inspired me to play more piano, but 1 bug messes it up for me so much that I find it really annoying to use. Almost every time I try to open a song, I get an advert, that is fine, but it will not let me click of the advert after 5 seconds, and the close button does not work, meaning I need to restart the app. It makes me sad having to give it 1 star, please fix this bug so I can rewrite my review..Version: 2.4.18

It’s DecentI have used musescore for a bit now, but it does glitch. Like, I might be using playback, and all of a sudden it just keeps repeating the same line while the cursor keeps moving. It’s an okay app. But I think, if you’re just looking for an app with sheet music for you to play, it’s pretty good..Version: 2.4.24

Good, does what it needs to and more. Pushy on the paymentIt has a solid selection of sheet music tracks, both official and custom user-made. The options to favorite and comment are nice for advice sharing as well as sorting, but the ability to Download scores and listen to them? That's amazing for the price. (I forget what I paid, but it was pretty reasonable for someone who grabs a few scores per month) About money-- that's the only reason it's not 5 stars. I opened it one day, and it asked me to pay. That seemed odd, since I'd renewed it just days before. I signed out, reinstalled, and nothing. It wouldn't let me continue until I paid. I actually came here to complain, but right before, I found out that you can actually skip the payment window by following a specific menu path with hidden buttons. It was for an extra OPTIONAL service, too. What I thought was a bug was, in fact, an intentional design choice. This worries me. This is a five star service which hasn't changed at the core, but that deceptive paywall is something I can't overlook, especially since it's during sign-up. I hope Musescore doesn't stray further down the path of anti-consumer design. I like what you have, Musescore, but if you get more brazen about trying to steal my money, then I'll go and find someone else who respects me more. Please don't become evil, Musescore.Version: 2.12.96

Pretty good ayeI mostly play things by ear, but this helps me when in stumped haha And its free so thats cool.Version: 2.5.6

Almost perfectThis app has so much sheet music, many instruments, and even lessons! I highly recommend it. My only issue is the formatting when using it on a phone. You can’t view an individual part in an ensemble song, meaning that it’s hard to read through a track without actually playing it. If you plan on using it on your phone, you’re better off using it on a tablet or laptop. Other than that, it is incredible and I am so grateful to have found it! :).Version: 2.12.93

ThanksYeet.Version: 2.5.3

Merry go round of lifeReally good! Canon In D.Version: 2.12.85

Something Went Wrong…This is the message I get after using the app for about 15 minutes when selecting a piece of music to view. Several hours later, it will start working again but only for a short amount of time. I keep checking for updates and make sure I always update. I had been using this app for awhile before I decided to purchase a subscription to get the full benefits. Now, I’m getting less. I am running iOS 16.1; I have restarted the app, restarted my phone. Nothing works. This is an incredible app for what it offers and I have been rating it 5 stars easily; but today it’s a 2 star rating and will remain that way until this issue is fixed. I don’t want a refund I simply want the app to work again. Thank you for your attention to this matter..Version: 2.12.15

Beautiful appAllows me to work on my creative and imagination. Thank you for this wonderful app!.Version: 2.12.80

BrilliantHas revolutionised our community choir - people who can't read music can practice at home independently - can adjust the volume of different parts and loop parts you find hard!.Version: 1.10.1

Love itIt’s great, works well and has a lot of sheets. Love that you can access them for free.Version: 2.5.19

I like it 🙂👍Considering it is free, I think this is great. A decent score library, and good for practicing. The only cons / downsides might be that sometimes some notes are illegible, because the editor tries to compress them or something and also the app just breaks frequently, I press play on the piece and it just doesn’t play, and I have to force quit the app to make it work again. Anyway, overall I think it’s good, once again because it’s free. I have found no other free digital music score libraries than MuseScore..Version: 2.6.3

Great app but has show stoppersI have been enjoying using this app but for one issue that makes it somewhat useless to me - in a score with lots of instrument parts the score is so tiny on the iPad that it is basically unreadable on a piano music rest, there is far too much score on the screen to be able to see individual notes and chords. If I pinch and zoom to enlarge a section to a useful size to actually see the manuscript it snaps straight back as soon as I lift a finger. In the end I have to do things the old way and print it on paper. If I am just concentrating on the piano part I cannot use the app as a music score for learning and sight reading, the app just is not configurable enough to act as an electronic music book for live playing..Version: 2.1.18

Has become an indispensable toolWith COVID lockdowns and the restrictions on liturgical choirs, I was able to convert Kyivan Chant polyphonic liturgical hymns into monophonic ones quickly and easily, and now we have a permanent library of scores which are easily accessible for all cantors. Musescore3 is simple to use once you get the hang of how to do things and you’ll wonder how you managed without it!.Version: 2.9.19

AlanhutchstewartAbsolutely brilliant but cannot start a score at any point other than the beginning. For singing practice I have break up the score into several bits so that we can practice one peace at a time but could not manage without it.Version: 2.3.9

WowAbsolutely awesome has every song 🎧 even if you don’t pay I love it it has songs for trumpet violin piano anything I highly recommend it 😊😊.Version: 2.12.81

Free, easy, convenientAs someone who will spend hours scouring the internet for a good piano arrangement, I approve of this app. It’s free which is amazing and it’s easy. I don’t even have to print out sheet music anymore (I’ve run out of storage space lol) I can play it reading straight from my phone or iPad..Version: 2.0.12

GreatGives you music and notes slowed down so easy to learn with. Gives where to put fingers. Great selection of music. Think better for slightly more experienced players..Version: 2.12.65

I really needed this app-It’s so hard for me to find sheet music for the songs I want to learn and I’m so happy I found this app because now I can accurately learn the piano pieces I wanna! ^^ So happy and I love how the app has multiple different genres not just classical, or pop. Would absolutely recommend downloading it weather or not your a beginner or a full pro, it really helps out a lot..Version: 2.12.81

ThanksThank you.Version: 2.12.80

Great appThanks for such amazing app.Version: 2.12.40

Great appPreviously I left a 1-star review because I couldn’t open any scores due to a bug, which has fortunately been fixed recently. Anyway, I’d highly recommend MuseScore to anyone learning the piano, as it has a large selection of free scores, including many unofficial but accurate scores of well known classical pieces, which have helped me learn the piano. Unfortunately there aren’t nearly as many options if you’re learning a different instrument, but I’d still recommend it for the free scores..Version: 2.12.84

♪It’s Decent... ♫Hello to whoever is reading this. Musescore is a okay app. You can access different sheet music and there is also a practice mode. But the main problem, and the reason I’m only giving is ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (3 stars) is because it glitches. A LOT. For example, if you are in the count down to start the song and pause it, it won’t allow you to pause it at all, making the pause butting useless. To fix that you have to exit the score, and then re-open it. Another one I faced is when I exited the score I was previously on, the screen that shows a list of scores got stuck and only showed half of the screen. (I’m sorry if that is very hard to understand). And there are also quite a few ads. Something else I’d like to add is there are a lot of features that they advertise, but the only way to use them is by buying PRO. Sorry but, I’m not going to spend $70 annually to get some stupid features and no ads. Please fix the things I have spent 10 minutes writing about. From somebody who has been using Musescore for a year ツ.Version: 2.4.24

Keeps making very questionable decisions.I’ve had this app for 3-4 years at this point, and I mostly very happy with the changes made over that time; however a couple questionable feature decisions immediately come to mind. About 1-2 years ago you used to be able to speed up a song as well as slow it down, it was a feature I used often, and still miss to this day. And just a couple days ago (the reason I am writing this review) I noticed that the newest update removed the sort by new functionality. This was a great way for me to check I there was a new song from a game or album I liked and removes exposure from newer arrangers. These decisions take this app from a 5 star to a 3, and I hope they add them back, or at the very least give a reasonable explanation as to why they did remove them..Version: 2.8.19

Nice appNice app..Version: 2.4.23

AmazingI can’t believe I took so long to find this..Version: 2.5.17

Let’s hope it keeps workingLatest updates have fixed most of the problems that caused the app to be useless. This really is a brilliant app when it works ..Version: 2.10.22

Icons and interactables are not visible! It’s a great up however it needs fixing! I tried reinstalling the app however it still results the same - all the gui are not visible for me! However I can still press on it no matter if I can’t see it. Please fix developers!!.Version: 2.8.25

Great for learningThis app is great for learning and practicing. You can slow the music down or speed it up, you can change the key of the piece you are learning, you can even zoom in and out for a better look. I highly recommend it..Version: 2.4.0

THANKYOUUUWithout this app Idk where I would be with my piano right now! There’s basically every song in piano form guitar form in any instrumental form for free with free sheets and u can listen to them and print them and it’s all free definitely recommend this app.Version: 2.1.13

Great selection of songs and easy to learnGreat selection of songs and easy to learn.Version: 2.12.80

Can’t even use the app any longerApp used to work fine, you could view and listen to various sheet music but now there is a pop up whenever you open it that you can’t close. I now have to use the website for sheet music, a shame with how much potential this app once had..Version: 2.3.9

Super user friendlyI just bought this and after 2 minutes of exploration I’m over the moon. Highly recommend.Version: 2.12.38

Awesome appI use it everyday..Version: 2.6.8

Very BuggyI am a MuseScore user and have been since 2014, and donated towards development of the mobile app when it was in unusable testing phases. I love this website but the app has been utterly disappointing. Half of the time I try to use the app it gives error messages or just crashes. Most developers would have fixed these issues or at least suppressed them, but the MuseScore developers have had bugs in the app for as long as I’ve used the app. That was around 3 years for the full release version, not including development. The community scores aren’t great and there is no good system of finding the quality scores that are so rare. You have to pay your way into downloading scores or accessing professionally done sheet music, which is NOT included in the useless Pro subscription. While this app may be better than most other free sheet music apps, it has its overdose of problems and issues. -Love KaidenSkinner.Version: 2.11.11

Just startingI just need to get past the nickname.Version: 2.4.29

Perfect! As a late beginner to learning the piano, I am finding the MuseScore app (as well as the desktop program) just perfect for digitising my music and then using the app for practice. The app makes it so easy and enjoyable to practice whole scores or even just to listen to a few bars at different tempos whenever I like. And it is so convenient to have all my music available on my iPad (with the great zoom feature for my terrible eyesight) and not be trying to control all the bits of printed paper. I downloaded the app quite recently and I am already noticing improvement in my practice sessions. The piano sound is really nice too. Thank you very much..Version: 2.5.10

Excellent alternative to Avid Sibelius ScorchBefore I start saying anything else, this is a Musescore VIEWER, not a notation app. It is for viewing your Musescore sheet music uploaded from your desktop via Dropbox, or downloaded from the Musescore cloud. I used the Musescore desktop application many years ago, but found it lacking in features, and so I swapped to Sibelius. Despite a lot of time passing since, I never got used to Sibelius' completely unintuitive and clunky interface, fiddly operation, instability and other issues, and so I decided to give Musescore another look. It now has all the features that I missed years ago, including an app for putting your scores on your iDevice, just like Avid does. And I think it is even better, using Dropbox to add to the library rather than iTunes, easier overview and search function, excellent zoom feature. With quick and easy conversion via MusicXML, I have now been able to transfer all my Sibelius scores to Musescore, and I can bring them all with me on my iPad where they hardly take up any space at all. Simply brilliant, and brilliantly simple..Version: 1.13

Beautiful five starsThank you for sharing.Version: 2.12.80

A very useful application for choir singers. This app allows choir members to filter out the distraction so that one could focus only on the part relevant. The only thing I wish is the ability to set markers and start from any of the markers, and to more easily loop within any of the saved markers. I wish this app could play in the background and while the phone is locked..Version: 1.13

Useful learning toolThis app has really helped me with my reading . I love that I can write my own music and hear it. A great app to get you writing your own music even if you’re a beginner like me. My partner also loves it and he’s a professional musician, so it works at all levels..Version: 2.4.23

GoodSo good, it’s just the time signatures that need working on, but it’s reallllllllllly good for sheet music.Version: 2.12.81

Amazing ApplicationThank you, it work perfectly.Version: 2.8.19

GerardGreat tool for our chior.Version: 2.12.88

…yesThis is by far the best sheet music app I’ve seen, a lot of these are well made but there isn’t enough people writing music to have many options. It’s always especially difficult for people who play less listened to instruments, i play flute and piccolo and can’t say it’s the easiest to find music when I can only find stuff for piano, I can still play the song with piano sheet music most of the time, but it’s usually really low and annoying, so I’d much prefer to just be able to find flute and piccolo music which is much easier in this app, I’ve found some really obscure stuff here that I didn’t think existed, there’s a lot of options,… plus I love that you can make it play the song, very convenient.Version: 2.12.11

Excellent ProductFor an amateur musician this does everything I want and more. Intuitive interface, easy to learn. Great help files and community dialogue for the more complicated matters. I am surprised at the complexity of score sheets available and the fact that midi playback respects, repeats with numbering, codas, hairpin dynamics, easy entry of triplets, quadruplets, trills and more. Very happy to discover that the mobile app dovetails well with the desktop version and the desktop version work ok on win 10 and even better on Linux but windows is abysmal on my laptop so the problems with its operation on windows is more down to windows than to the app itself..Version: 2.4.17

GreatVery enjoyable app.Version: 2.12.65

Accidentally paid for subscriptionTook a while to get my head around the app but now it seems to be working well. Easier to use on desktop computer I found. Hope I can make the most of it..Version: 2.12.93

Good bUt don’t pay for itIf you are like super attached to this app I suggest you buy premium but find a time when it’s 90 percent off.Version: 2.12.80

Fantastic!Muse score is basically the best app I've ever used to find music for different instruments. The ability to find music for different instruments makes it easy to put together little bands that can play together. The transposing button is awesome so you can change it to whatever key you want! The play button allows you to listen to how the score is supposed to be played giving you a place to start and sort of your own little teacher. You also have the option to print off scores, it's a little confusing, but worth the struggle. And the ability to write your own scores is awesome! They have an application that you can write music on and share with everyone! All in all, an awesome platform for writing and finding music!.Version: 2.0.2

Critical Bug Fixes NeededRecently after updating, it seems as though the search option has been completely removed. The feature is still there and visible, but when you go to search for a song, the app will say that no scores are to be found, even though there used to be many scores. Otherwise the app is excellent and one of my favourites when it comes to playing scores. Edit: If anyone else is having this issue, just log out and in again. That fixes the issue but seems to delete some songs in the process...which is another major bug..Version: 2.0.7

Shaped my childhoodI got this app on my iPad when I was young and just liked to browse the songs and searched for the songs I was into at the time. I later tried composing songs on my laptop and I couldn’t get off it. I’ve loved it for many years and I still do.Version: 2.0.12

This changed my lfimeI gave up everything for this app. My family, my friends, even my mental well being. This app has impacted my psyche like no other, when i open the app i feel like i can do anything. I improved so much in the time i had this app downloaded onto my mobile device; i went from playing hot cross buns to the moonlight sonata 3rd movement, in fact i made another movement: the moonlight sonata 4th movement was made by me because of how inspired i was to use this app and learn different piano pieces. I havent seen my wife OR the sun for at least 13 years because of how obsessed and addicted i am to this amazing app. In fact i exist only while online in this app, i dont even feel emotion unless im on this app. I could have fallen down 12 floghts of stairs and not felt anything as long as i didnt have this app open, So i thank you musecore. For changing my life.Version: 2.12.82

Finally Updates4 stars because u guys are finally updating an outdated score viewer thingy... anyway plz add score creation/ editing on mobile too so we can make and adjust music made on the laptop whilst on the: throne, while having dinner, on a trip and also to quickley transpose music on-the-go! Plz add!.Version: 2.0.11

Great jobThanks.Version: 2.12.82

YipeeeI love sitting there listening to scores and watching as the notes are played, it's so fascinating. it really makes you appreciate the talent of musicians.Version: 2.12.81

This app is so goodI am aged 14 and have been playing the piano for a few years but the one problem that I always had was that I couldn’t find whatever piece I wanted to play because they were either not know or a too easy version or a too hard version ever since I got this app I have not had a problem since it has EVERYTHING. One day I felt like playing jack stauber Butter cup and the next billy Joel piano man and this app allowes me to play whatever I want.Version: 2.12.83

Good app, but...What I don’t like about this app is that when you begin, you can’t chose more than one instrument and you can’t chose more than one genre of music. I really wish you could! Overall good app..Version: 2.6.6

Great appI can find all the music I want, love it!.Version: 2.12.45

You have to pay for specific thingsThis is really good I just you have to pay for specific things, like can’t we just have something for free? Other than that their selections is really good.Version: 2.12.50

It’s actually good now.I’m one of those people who’s never written a review for anything, and I was never going to. But MuseScore’s app changed at some point in a monumental way: where it used to be kind of clunky and hard to use because you couldn’t easily search for songs, or look at your favorites, you can do both of those things now! You can actually search for sheet music by genre and you can look through your favorites for easy access to the songs you like! I used to use the website instead because this app was almost useless in how slow it was without these changes, but now that it has these necessary features it’s way easier to use than the website, which is what an app’s all about! This app had a great turnaround with the newer updates, when most other apps would just stagnate in mediocre-ness. 👏🏼.Version: 2.9.03

Amazing 🤩This app helped me to learn songs from cannon in d simplified to Un Sospiro (not simplified) in around 3 years. With dedication, anything is possible, but this app genuinely makes it easier. I have the pro subscription, but either way, it is something that will help you grow in skill. Thanks MuseScore 😉..Version: 2.11.18

Great app ~ when are we getting Gershwin?See above.Version: 2.10.12

Just a big painIf this app actually worked, I would love it! I play the piano and the trumpet and this app has a ton of awesome songs to play. The day I downloaded it, everything was great, I found some really great music, learned some cool things, and just overall had a great time. But since then, the app has just been horrible. The interface covers up a whole line of music, and if you try to remove the interface it works sometimes, other times it doesn’t work and often it will misunderstand and turn the page. However, If you try to turn the page, most of the time it won’t do anything or it will toggle the interface. The problem is, there aren’t any controls for the functions you want, you just have to tap, swipe, or pound on the screen until it does what you want it to. Oh yeah, also, often if you turn the page it does the little page turn animation but doesn’t actually turn the page. Then no matter how many times you try to turn the page, it just stays as the same page of music (or it toggles the interface and you scream at your phone and you post a lengthy-one star review about how much you hate MuseScore).Version: 2.3.3

Great appThis is an awesome app with so many feature. Players of all instruments will love it with its FREE sheet music. I don’t know how to write reviews though but it’s a great app so go get it and don’t forget to subscribe to pewdiepie.Version: 2.0.10

Totally good! But...Thank you developer! I love this app! Thanks for all the hard work! What I discovered So I have been to the website. I heard the sounds. I went to this app. I heard the sounds. THE SOUNDS ARE ACTUALLY DIFFERENT!!!!! AND I THOUGHT IT WAS NOT! XD But I love the drum kit sounds in the website. Please can you fix the sounds and make it the same as the website? :) I will be so pleased about that. Is it only for computer versions that you can upload things? I can’t! :( I have got an epic piece but I can’t upload it! ): Do I need the computer version? MuseScore 3? I don’t know. But I absolutely love this app. I can hear music, the people that joined the app are very nice! No rude comments! In the website, I can chat about things! I have got an account! But now it’s banned oh no I don’t know why and what did I do lol OhMyGame2 6 followers since Friday 15th January 2021 Following 12 people since Friday 15th January 2021 Thanks for the app! Keep working hard! :) -OhMyGame2-.Version: 2.8.16

Great app, not a fan of the supportLove the app, there are so many pieces to play and is well worth the subscription to print off the music. My main problem however, is that the app registers my self as a pro member, but gives none of the benefits. I am mainly concerned about my ability to view ‘official scores’ because every time I attempt it, it says I must pay subscription. Other than that however, I love the variety of pieces and being able to print it off is amazing..Version: 2.10.20

BeginnerThe community is great The app is amazing The desktop is also amazing Beginner in the piano and everyday I learn something new. I’m still at it but otherwise it’s worth the money. Maybe I will discover more (good or bad) let’s find out..Version: 2.5.10

Great for practice!!I just downloaded this app yesterday and I am in love. I have used MuseScore from my laptop, but it’s very hard to play the music off of that since I play the piano. I love being able to just play the music right off of my phone. My favorite thing about this app though is the practice feature. It’s great being able to hear the song as you play along with it that way you can know how well you’re doing. It’s also nice that they give you the option to turn off and adjust the volume for the individual instruments and the metronome. I also love that there are a multitude of composers and arrangers on here who put out a lot of very high quality scores. This makes it even more enjoyable. My only complaint is that sometimes it can be a little slow and takes up a lot of battery. I also wish that I could get the pro features for free, but I would never expect for that to happen..Version: 2.6.0

Love itLove it.Version: 2.12.87

Fab systemI’ve used MuseScore for a few years now and it’s been a great little system, for scoring and replaying replaying others scores. Admittedly this app doesn’t let you score on the go, but it gives you access to scores on your account and lets you search save and playback etc..Version: 2.0.9

MuseScore's the bestAs a Finale user since 2009 I was horrified when they very quietly abandoned plans for the iOS version fix. They said it was easier to abandon it. That's typical of Finale; excellent notation with poor support. I've now been using MuseScore for quite a few years and never had a problem with notation or support. Guess which I turn to first!.Version: 2.6.8

Types of InstrumentsI really like this app. The UI isn’t confusing, you just type in the song, and you can even adjust results based on what instrument you play, but this is where the problem lies. In one of the newer updates, they added the ability to choose what type of instrument you could search for. (i.e. Under Trombone you would find Bass Trombone, and under Trumpet, you would find Piccolo) But the problem is they didn’t add all types of instruments, so I can only pick a Bass Trombone when I don’t play that kind of trombone, I play a Straight Tenor Trombone, but since Bass Trombone is the only option they have, I can only search for music pieces that use a Bass Trombone, so now I can practically never use the app since I’ll be searching for results with an instrument I don’t play. If they fix this issue, the app would be a go to app for playing music, but for now, I can’t even use it..Version: 2.6.0

Can’t Smile Without YouIs a very sentimental Melody Thanks.Version: 2.12.84

Trolls and unnecessary banningThis is a nice app and has a variety of different music sheets of all genres, and the website even has private chatting. However, there has been an increase of trolls and flamewars in the comment section that is taking up everyone’s feed. I was banned from my account, and I emailed the musescore staff asking why. They said I spammed. I did not spam. I followed up saying I never spammed, at least give me proof. They didn’t. They were just like “well we looked at the score and you violated this part of the terms of service because you spammed”. I was so aggravated. All my friends I ever made could only be contacted using musescore, and now I lost them all. The mean people who are always cussing and reporting innocent people for no reason at all are not being banned. I never did anything wrong. This is unfair. At least give proof after banning someone. You said you always look at the problem carefully and decide whether it’s really necessary or not to ban someone. You didn’t..Version: 2.8.2

ExcellentIt is really good except it sometime does want a subscription for some pieces... but there are plenty of good songs: e.g. I’m a pianist and I love the moonlight sonata 1st movement by Beethoven and I can access it for free! So good I recommend it to everyone who has a spark and interest in music definitely one of the best music sheet apps I’ve ever know, if not the best Gg.Version: 2.8.30

Love itGreat app !!!.Version: 2.11.03

Excellent application! My first encounter with musescore was almost fifteen years ago when i was in high school, in the app's infancy. I had so much fun making music and playing around with the tools. Now it's a fully developed program and i use it every day as a music teacher, and encourage my students to look around at all the scores. It's an excellent teaching tool, excellent for arranging, and the repository of user-uploaded content is insanely useful and fun to look around. So many people writing down music they care about, with the ability to easily share it with others. I cannot say enough positive things about this application. And their most recent sound update? Ugh, so good! I'm more than happy to pay for the service to download the sheet music and help the developers make this app even better. Well done!!!.Version: 2.12.80

Nice appThis is a very good app. Highly recommend to musicians. 🎻🎹🎺🎸.Version: 2.9.09

Clicked on Free Trial to try it out but immediately charged. As the heading states, I clicked on Free Trial Period and immediately got charged a subscription for 12 months. I have now cancelled the subscription because, even if it is a fabulous app, I think I was conned into a subscription without having the ability to trial the app..Version: 2.3.1

AmazingThis app helps me a lot because, I can’t find any music pieces to play. I would recommend this to everyone!.Version: 2.5.6

Very nice & usefulVery nice & useful thank you.Version: 2.12.61

I love it, but not much for violin. So I love the app and it’s very good. I am a violin player and this app was great for when it was quarantine. The problem is that there is much less songs and pieces for violin. There is about 70% less notes for violin which is disappointing. I have checked out the notes for piano and it seems that there are more songs and pieces I am interested in for piano. This is not that the developers made less notes for violin as the users make them and that is great. So any violin players out there, consider downloading this app. I love this app and it deserves 4 stars..Version: 2.8.20

Crazy good serviceSeriously a one of a kind website and app. From the moment I found musescore I have loved it. Connecting users and music from all around the world in a great system. Nice job guys 👍.Version: 2.4.4

It’s a great software. So, I haven’t actually written a review for an app before, so bare with me. Essentially, this app, along with its desktop application is very reliable. I am a high school student, and I can’t Pat for premium music composition software, but MuseScore has my back. I’ve used it for 6 years, and they’ve done a great job at receiving feedback and getting back to people. Personally, I haven’t experienced many problems, tho I don’t use it as a job either. Not only does it allow you to create music, transpose, arrange, and everything in between, it creates communities with similar interests, instruments and music styles. This app for being free (assuming you’re not purchasing pro) gives all of that. The pro version I have not been able to personally get, but when I get to college I’m definitely thinking of investing into it. It helped me express myself with music writing, and helped me compose my first piece that was played at my high school. I definitely recommend this app to people who just wanna get the chance to write music, it’s the audio art anyway!.Version: 2.7.0

GoodVery good.Version: 2.1.18

Great app!MuseScore is a pretty good database of pieces ranging from Mozart Symphonies to Tchaikovsky Concertos. However, I have two complaint, some pieces such as Mozart’s Sonata in C Major 309 only has the 3rd movement, without the first or second. MuseScore, if you’re reading this, please add an entire catalog of OFFICIAL scores for prominent composers such as Bach and Mozart. Also, for some scores, since they are uploaded by the community, sometimes, there is little to no fingerings. I’m using MuseScore as a digital alternative to physical scores but, the fingerings are non existent, and the formatting can also be quite weird. MuseScore, if you’re reading this, please fix this by having proper OFFICIAL scores that are properly edited. Otherwise, I recommend MuseScore! (P.s the subscriptions for MuseScore are a bit confusing, at first I thought that MuseScore Pro+ was the best, but then I found it that it was MuseScore One. Please make the subscriptions more clear and concise.).Version: 2.12.52

Muy bienEscucho musica!.Version: 2.1.7

ThanksAmazing app.Version: 2.5.10

Good appProviding a space for artists to share their inspiring piece of music and a platform for growing artist to learn from them. Love it. One suggestion tho, when you having a controlling panel come up it is a little bit annoying how the screen keep adjusting to it, I would prefer if it will just show on top so the size of sheet won’t shift. But many thanks Also really wish there is some sort of pen control that i cna write over it or i can at least export it to pdf so i can do it myself But many thanks again!.Version: 2.4.4

Excellent Score Management AppMuseScore is an excellent app for anyone looking to to download and listen to musical scores. The app allows you to browse through, listen to, and even download any of the hundreds of thousands of scores on the platform. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in this sort of thing..Version: 2.3.9

Nice, but has touch issuesI can barely press some things, but that aside, it's amazing. Hope they ad MuseScore 4..Version: 2.12.80

Great but metronomeIt’s really great to use! But I’ve noticed when I have the metronome on, when it plays the second time of a repeat the metronome disappears, but it’ll reappear when it moves onto the next part. Would appreciate this issue getting fixed!.Version: 2.12.93

Emmy!!!This has been soooooo helpful. I did start with SimplyPiano when I started learning the main music and notes then I wanted to learn sheet music and I saw an add for this and honestly this has been soooo helpful since then. ( I still use SimplyPiano though ).Version: 2.10.07

Useful but has some feature gapsThis is a great app for integrating with the musescore library. I use it as a metronome substitute, when I’m trying to get chunks of a score up to temp. it’s really nice to be able to mark a section and put it on repeat with a metronome keeping time I would really like to see two improvements- the metronome tempo is on a slider. The 50% speed is a quick option but I really want to be able to enter a bpm. The sliders not great for that. Also I’d like a ramp up for the metronome so that it adds 5bpm every 4 loops, so I can gradually bring a section up to full speed..Version: 2.12.81

Love this App!!As someone who has been playing for many years this is such a game changer to the old printed sheets where you would forever be shuffling sheets around and turning pages! Now i play soley off my ipad :D I bought the pro version and think it is amazing value for money considering I used to spend $20-$30 on a music book. I love how you can save music to favourites, and the practice mode is just amazing how you can turn the speed up or down - it’s just the best thankyou!.Version: 2.8.25

Good, except for some bugsOf what I know so far, the 8vb feature plays 15ma, and staccatos don't do anything..Version: 1.3.2

MusescoreMusescore is an amazing program, the only thing is dad would shout at me because his 'Spotify' is 10 billion times better.Version: 1.12

AwesomeYou can even find some Mando Pop songs’s piano sheet..Version: 2.9.17

UsefulI am able to find most music I am looking for. Could may be add level rating for easier search..Version: 2.8.14

Excellent Variety of MusicThis is an excellent sheet music app. It has a variety of genres with varying levels from beginners to advanced pieces. In addition to the sheet music, there’s an audio feature which plays the music with adjustable volume and speed. The music can be broken down in segments for ease of practising. Theres a metronome which can be turned on and off. There are multiple instruments but I only use the piano. I cannot recommend it enough..Version: 2.10.20
