Focus Keeper: Productive Timer for Positive User Reviews

Love it!Simple. Has a nice click sound to the clock if you want it..Version: 2.5.6

Not too rigid, but you still need self control!I love this app because you can also customize The timer based on your own needs. It’s not rigid. So if you’re in a good work flow and don’t really want to stop when it tells you to stop, you just skip the break time to go into the next round. Only thing is that it only starts and stops if you tell it too, so it’s not as disciplinary. Also, it does not lock you from going on snapchat or wherever, so it really is just mind power and self control to not do anything other than work during those 25/whatever minutes. What would be cool is if they had a note/to do setting where if you think of something that you want to be worried about later, you can write it down there and then the break time shows and reminds you the things you quick typed down before. Amazing regardless..Version: 1.8.4

De-stressed and focused !Currently revising for a-levels and the stress is building. I also procrastinate a lot so really needed a useful revision strategy to help me focus and hopefully make me feel calmer! Would without a doubt recommend focus timer, especially if you find it hard to concentrate. The app gradually helps you become more focused. My phone is finally a help and not just a hindrance to my revision!.Version: 1.8.4

Great App!I have found this app incredibly useful for exam study. It's very simply laid out with enough features to be functional but not so many that it becomes cluttered and confusing. The idea behind it is great. And for me who doesn't usually belief in taking breaks, I can go for hours and hours on end studying now because I take 5-10 minute breaks inbetween. Really changed my mind about study breaks. Love it :).Version: 1.8.4

Great appI really like this app. Allows for a lot of personalisation on how you use it. You can change the time for each session and breaks. There’s lots of functionality for the free version and it’s so simple to use. Works great for a year 12 student wanting to stick to time and maintain better focus. Makes my studying easier and more efficient. Thanks.Version: 1.9.8

Creativity Loves ConstraintsI have a very curious and wondering mind and really struggle to stay on task when I want to. Waitbutwhy explains this perfectly in the procrastination article. With Keep Focus I'm able to avoid "The Dark Playground" and enjoy living life by spending more of my energy aligned to my goals. Life saver..Version: 1.8.4

Works! This app is great for helping you to get things done.Version: 1.10.3

IndispensableI tried a few pomodoro-style timers and this one is the clear winner. It has some great features and is well designed. The only thing I wish was different is that you can’t choose an Apple Music playlist to shuffle while the timer is on, only a single song. Apart from that it’s perfect!.Version: 1.8.4

Work Smarter and Get More AccomplishedFocus Keeper enables me intense focus for my studies. By breaking up study sessions into 25 minute blocks it is never too daunting to get started. The 5 minute breaks are a fantastic respite and keep me from getting off task while I study (when I get tempted by a distraction I think, “No, I’ll do that when the bell rings.”) And the 25 minutes FLY and I get super absorbed in the content. Five minute break is plenty and then I easily dive back in. I like this system so much that I even use it to motivate myself to complete chores that I am prone to put off. 25 minutes cleaning out a closet, 5 minute break, 25 minutes more cleaning closet, etc. I tutor students and I introduce this app to each of them. Most LOVE it..Version: 1.9.9

Making Pomodoro flexible and personalFirst of all, I started using Pomodoro as an older person to help with my arthritis by forcing myself to take short breaks from working on the computer. After success with this I began personalizing by varying work session and break sessions according to what I am doing : meditating, cooking, cleaning. It basically reminds me to keep an alternating standing and moving around vs. sitting time schedule. When I have a particularly difficult task, I use it as a reward system — I extend the long break and take a walk or read a book. I keep a 12 session schedule, and then give myself the evening off — or, alternately take the morning off and begin at noon. I am much more productive, in less pain, and suffer a lot less guilt since I began using Pomodoro..Version: 1.9.7

Very helpfulThis has been great at keeping me on track for studying.Version: 1.8.4

So usefulI absolutely love this timer, it’s so simple and effective and i’m always at my most productive when i am using it. I love the ability to change the colours and sounds and the longer break function is just another function which keeps me focussed. The one thing that i find could be a big improvement though would be if it could work with the multi-window feature on the ipad as i work with other windows open often and it would be useful to see my progress without having to constantly open and close the app. i also find that i often accidentally pause the timer when using gestures to swap between windows..Version: 1.10.3

IncredibleThe subscription is so cheap and super worth it! I LOVE THIS APP!! Honestly if you struggle with focus and planning this is the app for u !!.Version: 2.1.10

Can’t study without itThe pomodoro technique is widely regarded as an effective means to study. I’ve learned it’s important to find easy jobs to do that don’t need much thinking during long breaks I.e cleaning your room with music, and above all try not to pause the timer once you get going - then try to follow it strictly. This app is a fantastic, simple means for following the technique..Version: 1.10.3

Used for YEARS - Never disappointsI can’t use any other focus app! I’ve used this one for many years, and I want to use it for many more. It stuck with me through high school and through my university studies so far. I love how the timer is automatic so I don’t have to stress myself having to manually start it myself. My only problem is that the total focus time stats seem to glitch and return to zero sometimes, which makes it hard to track how productive I am each day. Still, I love this app!.Version: 2.3.2

Incredibly good app!My concentration ranges from “accidentally works on one thing for two hours and forgets to get up and stretch” to “thinks I’ve worked for an hour but has only worked for 5 minutes”. This app is brilliant in the sense that it allows me to both remind myself to get up, stretch and drink water during the 5 minute break, and also stops me from guesstimating the time I’ve spent working. Added sense of accomplishment when I manage to carry out all the focus sessions..Version: 1.9.9

Tested 12 Apps… Focus Keep= #1⏱This is by far the best Productivity/Time management app 🔥 It’s out of this 🌎 You can never buy more time! Focus Keepers premium features is worth the time is saves! Giving you more time to enjoy your life 😀 Don’t listen to the negative reviews about having to pay. It’s under $2/mo and $8 for the entire year. Spending $8 to save time is more than worth it 💸I’m surprised it’s not more tbh. I would undoubtedly pay $100 a month for this app 💰💰.Version: 2.1.9

Only one issue - it keeps stopping. The app works very well as long as it’s on an ipad that is only running it and does not lock - if it is put to the background I will often - intermittently so I can’t work out why - find that when I return to it, the timer has stopped - especially on my phone which I would prefer to use it on because I can take it with me during rest breaks. . (I have the “prevent lock” function on, it simply does not work.).Version: 1.9.9

Really helpful appFocus keeper is a really great app for those who get easily distracted while doing work for long periods of time (like myself). It allows me to study in 25 minute chunks then take short breaks which boost productivity. Really handy as a student, use it all the time!.Version: 1.8.4

My Personal Task KeepThis is so brilliant, I’m now on my long break. It helped me stop procrastinating and get focus on my business to do’s. I done the flyer, feed my kids in the short breaks and completing the last leg of my website.👏👏👏👏I will be moving up to the paid version. I enjoying the relaxing waves in my long break. It’s really allowing me to decompress from work and enjoy my break. Naturally I will be working through my break and feeling frustrated therefore allowing procrastination to set in. 👩🏽‍💻Go get the free version you will love it🥰. Busy moms, working professionals, studying etc GO GET IT..Version: 1.9.8

Helps me stay focussed and studying hardSuch a good app Totally recommend for high school students and uni students to not get distracted.Version: 1.8.4

Very helpfulI downloaded this app because I couldn’t get myself to study, I kept either overworking myself studying for hours without a break and could hardly remember anything or just took hour long breaks and couldn’t get myself to focus on studying. With the help of this app I was able to quickly and easily go through my studying without wasting time looking at the paper with no motivation. I find it best to have a 5 minute break every 25-30 mins (which is how long the average person can focus) and with the help of this app I am usually done within 3 hours (usually it took me a whole day, now I have more time) Another thing that I absolutely appreciate about this app is that the free version doesn’t have any ads and that you can use the most important function without paying. I also love the little ring that rings whenever I have a break (you can turn it off!).Version: 1.8.4

Easy to use and perfect for a working focusThere are time where you just need to bang out a lot of work. Personally I find it is very easy to be distracted by emails, workmates and busy work. Focus keeper does just as the name suggests. Set intervals and break lengths and power through that backlog of tasks. Easy to learn and use you won’t find a better implementation of the pomodoro method..Version: 1.9.9

Simple & effectiveThis app has been key in helping me stay focussed and in task. The fact that you cN set the number of cycles you want & it automatically counts for you is part of what makes it so effective. I’m also a huge fan of not complicating stuff and just having an app do what it’s meant to do. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t have a feature that automatically turns on do not disturb during a focus session. That would be so helpful..Version: 1.9.9

Helped me pass collegeI’ve always been bad with time management, especially during studying or staying on schedule. I watched a video where Jordan Peterson said if you want to succeed, split your goal into measurable units. I chose time as my unit to get stuff done. Purchasing the extra features were worth it so I can customize my study time and how many sessions before I get a break. So worth it!! Next thing you know, I was getting assignments done, I was aware of the time and able to catch the bus, and slip in some study time if I was in between classes. I did amazing my last semester of college and graduated. I wonder why I didn’t use it before. I highly recommend to anyone!!.Version: 1.10.3

Very usefulI’ve been using this app (free version) while working at home. I like the Pomodoro method of breaking up tasks into smaller chunks and it seems to make long tasks seem more manageable. It definitely makes me more productive. I find it really useful for reminding me to get up and move around as well as sometimes I can get too engrossed in a piece of work and find I’ve been sitting in the same position for hours. I try to use the 5 mins to get moving and take a screen break. Love the wave sounds..Version: 2.1.0

Great appBest app for pomodoro.Version: 2.5.5

Works really well!!!It's perfect for me. It has long breaks and short breaks. After every 25min it has a 5 min break then it gives you a long break after about four 25 min intervals. I think you can change it as well by I quite liked it on that setting. It helps me keep track of the time and also helps me focus more on my a level work..Version: 1.8.4

Worth paying for ProUser friendly and clean simple design makes this app my best friend for conquering long study sessions. There's very limited functions in the free version which is a shame, but for just a few bucks more the pro function gives me all the options for sounds and colours I want..Version: 1.8.4

Very Useful AppWorks very well, I find I get distracted easily when studying especially by my phone and so having a timer to stick by really helps me keep going and look forward to my breaks :).Version: 1.8.4

ADHD life saverAre your projects ever so big you don’t know where to start? Or do you struggle to see the trees from the forest when you get too interested in something? I admit this is the first app of time cycling I have tried so I don’t have experience with competitors but this app has been a lifesaver. Making sure I have planned breaks helps me stop going even if I really want to continue. This avoids me wasting time when I get lost in the trees and not seeing the forest. The 5 min breaks are also nice. They save me from taking a break to do something and never getting back on task because one thing leads to another. Thanks for developing a tool that is so simple but at the same time so valuable. This gives me structure in a sea of unending curiosity and saves me from just jumping from one thing to the next. I agree with others that in a further iteration of the app it would be wonderful to label focus sessions. Linking to a calendar or even a graph to get visual representation of time spent would also be an awesome features..Version: 1.10.6

Adjustable and functionalA useful study tool that allows you to adjust your pomodoro focus and rest times as well as keep track of the number of sessions had through the day. I would recommend this app to anybody who has a lot of work/study and needs to structure themselves better..Version: 1.8.4

Excellent Timer with Minor SuggestionsOverall excellent Pomodoro timer that has helped me focus, particularly when working on long, concentration intensive projects. I’ve recommended this to many friends due to the straightforward interface. There is something important to note regarding the paid version. While you can set up multiple tasks with the paid version, you can’t switch between tasks and keep your Pomodoro session going. For example, if you completed two sessions for a responding to email task , if you switch to another task for you lose all progress towards the longer break. I’d like to support the devs for all the help this app has been with completing work, but this choice related to multiple tasks defeats the purpose of even setting up multiple tasks..Version: 2.3.2

Super helpfulI find this app helpful in two capacities: when I'm in full reading & research mode, the reminders to take breaks are beneficial and often pretty close to when my mind would start to wander in any case. Knowing I only need to get to the next trill is great. And when I'm writing and in the zone, I appreciate the option to take a break or in the least a time marker for how long I've been at it! And all this with the free option alone! I'll be investing in the paid-for version in the new year..Version: 1.8.4

Great for staying on taskGreat for concentrating and remembering to stay on task. Would be good to have break clicking at slower rate, perhaps every ten seconds.Version: 1.9.8

Simple and easyJust what I was looking for. Not another to-do app but a simple and effective pomodoro timer. Yay.Version: 1.8.4

ExcellentIt has been incredibly helpful and it does a great job on managing your study time. Thanks.Version: 1.9.9

Deserving of 5 stars but missing 2 featuresSo for starters, I love this app. It’s relatively simple, the interface is great. I love that it gives you data about your studying and where the time went. I pay for the premium version. Here’s my complaints, or suggestions. 1) Dev’s can you please make it so that I can manually add time?! I hate when I study for 10 minutes and then realize I forgot my timer. My total hours studied is never accurate because of this. 2) Allow multiple graphs which you can assign task to specific graphs. For example I would love to use this as a study timer for school as well as guitar. It shows me the time, and allows me to see where it was all spent. It’s perfect for both my hobby and school. It’d be wonderful if I could have two seperate graphs one for guitar and one for school. 3) *not really bothered by this but still… I’d love it if you guys allowed tags for sessions and sorting by them. For example if I look back on Wednesday I can see the red tag meaning that was a day I was sleep deprived, and I studied x on that day. Now it makes a little more sense why for some reason I just don’t remember that content as well. I’d love to hear your thoughts about this if you see it dev’s..Version: 2.5.3

LoveVery simple and effective. Keeps me motivated and on task. I’d love it even more if I could save a couple of presets so I can set different focus times for exercise (interval training) and for different days of the week. As the nature of my work changes on different days, I’d love to be able to select from a couple of different focus times and sessions to suit my schedule without having to reset it all the time..Version: 1.10.5

Very simple clean UI with good product focusI bought the pro Version of this app, and I really appreciate the focus of “focus” app (pun intended). Not a ton of bloated features, just the focus intervals (and plenty of customizations to look and feel / interval timings). I use this app while coding to get focused tasks done. In a world of slack messages, iMessages, emails, social media and noisy app notifications, it’s amazing we are able to get anything done at all. Additionally, these constant distractions, without breaks, cause stress response in the body. This app helps me be more sustainable as a developer, and take better care of my mental and emotional well being. UPDATE: edited to four stars, because a Apple Watch app for this would be epic. Using some haptic taps to signify breaks versus work.…😍.Version: 1.10.3

StudyingApp help keeps focus in managable sessions that feel rewarding whilst still letting you get work done. My only problem is that there is no "restore purchase" button meaning I can only use the pro version on one device 😢.Version: 1.8.4

Great for working from homeReally helped me over the past year to focus whilst working from home. I now have a small list of jobs that take me 5 mins that i do during my short break away from my screen. I get loads done in the day. Plus I have the sound of waves during my 5 min break which is lovely and a kitten sound that lets me know it’s time to get back to work 🐈.Version: 1.10.6

The best productivity appI'm the queen of procrastination! This app is perfect for my university studies, especially at home doing assignments. The work intervals fly by and the short breaks allow you the time to do the things that would usually distract you. What I'm finding is that I am using the breaks to stretch and mobilise instead of aimlessly scrolling through social media..Version: 1.8.4

Great for simple trackingI’ve used this app for several years. Every now and then, I drift away from the pomodoro technique but each time I come back I find this little app so useful. It’s not bloated. It’s simple, just as the original text advised. I really like it and have recommended it for others many times..Version: 1.10.3

Good but can be betterThe app is simple and very efficient. I think you can improve the app by providing more data about our performance, maybe add some more charts. Also a section for notes would be cool after every session. Anyway good app..Version: 2.1.10

This app helped me to get work doneThe pomodoro sounds silly. Using a timer for 25 minutes work, 5 minutes break? I shouldn’t need that. But for me it helps *enormously * to actually get work done. And this app is *excellent* I recommended it.Version: 1.10.6

Great appThis app is great for people like me that are really very good at procrastinating absolutely everything in their life. This app is easy to use, and all you have to do is follow the suggested study times and suddenly you are productive who would have thought. 10/10.Version: 1.9.9

Best of Both Worlds!I know I’m not on my own here when I say I have so much to do that I have to manage my time carefully, fend off distractions and break my day into manageable chunks to prevent that feeling of ‘overwhelm’ which can be so debilitating! This App helps me to divide my time into 25 min of activity with a 5 min break at the end before focussing again. I use the 5 min break to answer phone messages that build up and grab a cuppa at the same time! In this way I’ve become so much more productive :-).Version: 1.9.9

THIS APP WILL SAVE YOUR LIFEI’ve always had problems concentrating and sitting still for two hours would have been completely inconceivable. Using this, I genuinely don’t think about the fact I’ve been working for that long. The Pomodoro method is awesome and the minimal format tells you what you need to know without distracting. Literally the most valuable study tool..Version: 1.8.4

Nuther ADHD/ND approvedI knew this technique existed, but this app made it so easy to implement. There are three different phases to this timer, and five “rounds”: two 25-min work rounds, two 5-min break rounds, and one 25-min break round. Each different phase has a different sound to it, so it’s easy to know which round is happening without having to pick up your phone and reset. This is a HUGE bonus for me, since picking up my phone is focus suicide. You can leave this open, even with your phone on silent, and still hear the time ticking away, which is enough auditory stimulation for me to focus on what I’m doing. It will go through the phases without you having to touch anything. This is all for free, by the way. Additional customization options are available for a one-time purchase, but the app can stand on its own without these. Perfect! I use this on my iPhone 7 for refs sake.Version: 1.9.9

Great butGreat app, does exactly what it’s supposed to buuuut can you guys fix the bug where if you have a timer that’s started before midnight and you let it run well past midnight into the morning none of your study time gets tracked until you make a new timer.Version: 2.5.5

GreatReally great app but please fix all the ui bugs 🙏🙏🙏.Version: 2.5.5

Been using this for two yearsI’ve been using this app on and off for two years for both work and study. It does exactly what it says in the description. You can customise it in regards to time length for focus and changing the colour scheme, but there are no over complicated features. Five stars, two thumbs, 100%..Version: 1.10.5

I wish it could play musicGreat app it helps to stay focused I wish it could be connected to Spotify or we could play hour long music through the app..Version: 1.10.6

Great appThis app is helpful in productivity for both myself at work and my kids at home. It would be helpful if it had an option where you could click to proceed to next session/break. This would allow me to complete current task then proceed to break..Version: 1.10.5

Really helpfulI have lots of problems being focused and concentrating while sitting at my desk at work. Focuskeeper keeps me on track and I feel guilty if I start drifting off and doing something non-productive. A fantastic app and I highly recommend it. It is changed my life..Version: 1.9.9

Handy work efficiency appHighly customizable and easy to use. A good way to help those who have poor concentration focused on work. Of course it is still up to the individual in the end. It's working well for me so far..Version: 1.8.4

Get rid of premiumAmazing app. Just wish I could schedule my studying..Version: 2.5.5

Awesome!I am using the app on my iPhone. It really helps me concentrate and be productive. I feel like in a flow state. Reading and writing is simpler with it. Great work guys!.Version: 1.8.4

Great appI really struggle to keep focus when I’m studying with my mind tending to drift to the other 101 things I have and could be doing, resulting in me procrastinating for an eternity before having the stress of cramming in work as assignment deadlines loom! I didn’t expect this to work, but it really does help me to focus my attention to study in 25 minutes chunks whilst reminding me to have regular breaks and not get side-tracked. Within a few days of using it I’ve been productive than I have for the previous month that I returned back to uni! Would definitely recommend..Version: 1.8.4

Very Simple & IntuitiveIt's been forever since I've rated an app, but this simple tool helped me perform my best on my recent exam, as well focusing and studying smarter as well. Normally i just try to use my own pomodoro techniques and take mini breaks, but even i get sidetracked and want to linger on my social media a little longer. So having this app is handy, not only for reminders, but also keep track of my study sessions and mini breaks/progress as well. Because of this and because it's aided me to study 'smarter' and to study more efficiently, I've upgraded to the pro and I found it to be worth it (: You just have to believe and push yourself to the best of your ability whether it's in school or for work purposes, just do it. And before using this app, i was overwhelmed with information and which resources to utilize, but having something handy like this, really helped me A LOT. 5/5 😌.Version: 1.8.4

Works really well without having to pay!I tried a few different apps that allowed you to lock certain apps or whatever, but this makes working long days so much more manageable! It’s free, so easy to use and it breaks the day down into chunks. There’s even the freedom to still go onto your apps, although you don’t NEED to because you get small breaks where you can check in every 25 minutes. It is a game changer and is really making it easier to work :).Version: 1.10.3

PerfectHere’s the deal. Get it, move all your other apps to the next few pages so your primary one is BLANK. Then place this as your only app on the hotbar at the bottom. When using it lean it against something to you can see it while you work and when it’s break time take it with you in your pocket so the timer can be heard. Now go be creative. Or productive. 🤷🏻‍♂️.Version: 1.10.3

I’m a productivity convertHonestly, I didn’t think I’d be the type of person this works for—but it turns out I am! I’m a writer (and a procrastinator) and have really struggled to concentrate when working from home during lockdown. Focusing for just 25 minutes at a time is hugely helpful, and helps me keep a handle on tea breaks and scrolling. This app is also super easy to use and I love that there are no ads! The upgraded version which lets you tweak your timings is only £1.99 as well..Version: 1.10.4

ADHD??? This is your GOD SEND!!!ADHD?? This is your GOD Send!! I have only been using this APP since this morning and I have already managed to complete several tasks with minimal interference! I’m beyond amazed! Nothing has ever worked for me. Squirrel Moments as my husband fondly calls them would overtake my days to the point that at the end of the day I hadn’t actually accomplished anything but had managed to begin at least 4 or 5 more projects!!! All of my “Projects” would remain unfinished until I HAD to complete one! Even then a 1 hour task, could and usually did, take upwards of 4 or 5 hours and even then maybe still not be completed but always another 3 or 4 would be in the works!! I’m not kidding you! Since this morning I have started and completed one project and finished 3 that were in the works!!! Hallelujah!!! And it’s only 2:15pm!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this App, I’m deleting all the rest except for AnyList!! I use that one daily and now I can actually get everything at the grocery that’s “On the List “. Before AnyList, I always lost the list! 😂 Anyway get this! You will Love it!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙌👍😀.Version: 1.9.9

No frills but does the jobThis is a perfectly good app for focusing attention in a sustainable way. Recommend it. Would be nice if it could show icons of achievement rather than just a number..Version: 1.8.4

Helpful, nice design, annoying ‘Get back to work!’ messageAs above, very good and helpful app, only minor but quite annoying bit I’d change is the notification for when a break is over. Making it customisable would be best, but it’s not difficult to do better than the current “(…)Get back to work!”. Can’t really recommend that my team use the app with the negative association there..Version: 2.4.0

AMAZINGCompletely flipped my study habits!.Version: 2.5.5

Love it!This is the best work timer app I've found. Can't wait for an Apple Watch version!!! (Hint hint).Version: 1.8.4

Easy to use and definitely more focusedI like how user friendly this app is!! It’s easily customizable with a simple interfacing allowing minimal distractions. It keeps me accountable for myself. I like getting the notifications letting me know I haven’t used it in a while/“time to get focused”. There is a big difference in my work efficiency when I use this app and when I don’t. (The former being more effective.) I recommended this app to multiple ppl and it has helped them too. I also tried tomato timer using just a regular timer when I didn’t feel like using the app. I think the app is better because of the interface and automatic breaks and focus timers disallowing any pause in between!! Another positive: the small bell announcing the end or start of break is definitely better than the alarm sounds..Version: 1.10.5

I would give it 5 if…The timer would not reset. I hate there there’s no way not to make the timer reset..Version: 2.1.10

Really useful for getting down to workI find this app really helpful for avoiding distractions- there are so many different things trying to get your attention and sometimes it’s easy to get side tracked. With this app I know to ignore the distractions until the break. It also helps to remind me to take a little break so that I stay alert instead of carrying on and getting less and less productive.Version: 1.10.3

AmazingThis app has changed the way I study and hopefully it can change the way I work too. For a person who doesn’t like following the rules this app forces you to follow the rules, willingly because you reap the benefits of retaining more information quicker and are excited for the next session. Thank you and I’m looking forward to doing my exams now!.Version: 1.9.8

Helped me focus on a working SundayVery easy to get started (rather than faffing around with an app as procrastination), I worked for 2 hours straight and got lots done even though I wasn’t motivated when I started. The free version is good enough so you don’t feel pressured to pay, but lots of awesome options once you — like me— realise you need this app in your life..Version: 1.8.4

I can’t believe this has worked for me... so far!I am a serial procrastinator like a lot of past reviewers. I tried another app first but it didn’t work... this app looked rather too simple but I was desperate so I thought I’d try it. I do like working to rules, so this suited me. I have got more work done today than I have done in a long time. The constant ticking is not really annoying and changes tone when you’re on a break. I could go on, but I was on a short break and now have to get back to work!!.Version: 1.9.8

If you have ADHD, get thisThis app is an essential tool for those with ADHD or with any kind of trouble focusing. You turn on the timer, turn off your screen, and then just work until you hear the ding. Then you can rest easy knowing you have a pre-timed break. When you hear another ding, you get back to work. Repeat a few times and you get a longer break. The app does all the timing for you. No need to set ten thousand reminders, you automatically get notified when work time and break time are over. Also, if the default settings for the app (25 min of work, 5 min break) aren't effective for you, you can easily set the times to be different. Maybe you do better with 30 min of work and five minute breaks. An hour of work and 10 minute breaks? You can play around until it fits you. You can also turn off the ticking if it distracts you. This app will not solve everything. You still have to have the willpower to commit to your work. You still have to summon up the strength to start. It won't give you magic concentration powers. It will give you a nice structure with which it is much easier to do your work. Seriously, make use of this great tool..Version: 1.8.4

Simple, Effective, User-friendlyI recently discovered I have ADHD and this app is a blessing! it has helped me stay on task with my studies and housework. I like how unobtrusive yet motivating it is. I agree that having different volumes for the alarm and clock sounds would be useful but other than that it’s just right!.Version: 1.9.9

Cleverly designedFocus app is really intuitive and does exactly what any serial procrastinator wants, to keep on track day in day out.Version: 2.1.10

Awesome app, but most features require subscriptionThis is an absolutely fantastic app for structuring your time trying to be productive. I use it almost every day for work. I believe I paid less than $10 to unlock all the features back when this was a one-time purchase. Now it is a $6/year subscription. Yes, it’s very cheap, but I wish they had just kept it as a one-time purchase for newcomers. Thankfully I’m grandfathered into the Pro version with my initial purchase. I just had to go to the app settings and select “restore pro” to get all my features back. I can’t comment on the “tasks” part of the app since it seems pretty basic and unnecessary. Personally, I already use Todoist (another excellent productivity app) for task management..Version: 2.0.9

I use it everydayThis time is so simple and elegant. The timer just works and the interface is clutter free. I appreciate that there is a calculator that shows how much time you would be spending in Focus when setting up the rounds, which I find helps me stay realistic with my focus goals. I do about 8 rounds in a work day, which is about 4.5 hours of focus, and usually takes a whole work day. With this feature I can let myself off the hook for not working enough because I am not working “16 hours a day” as so many people in my field like to trumpet. When I can complete my work ahead of schedule with a regular rhythm of focus, all the workaholic unrealistic expectations start to dissolve One feature that’s keeping this from being a five star review is that there is no option to have a sustained alarm to alert the end of a long break. When it’s the end of a long break usually I am away from my phone far enough that the one time ding doesn’t register to me until it’s too late and I need to reset the focus timer..Version: 1.10.6

Great simple appI tried a few different pomodoro timer apps and liked this one the best. Simple, easy-to-use interface and helps me do focused work for a long time!.Version: 1.9.8

Great for studyingReally enjoy this app, spaces out time slots in reasonable time frames, and gives short breaks too. Great for working on anything, especially helping avoid procrastination. 10/10 would recommend.Version: 1.8.4

AwesomeI use it on my everyday life, it helps soo much with my workflow that it’s amazing. I would like however to have different configs for different activities . Like study 25x 5 min and work 45x5 min , would that be possible?.Version: 2.3.2

Nice appClean UI, automatically goes into breaks. No ads that I've noticed. Helps you focus!.Version: 1.8.4

So powerfulLove it, it's easy and intuitive.Version: 1.8.4

Very intuitiveOf the pro version: Wonderful app to use with its colours and simplicity. Just a simple timer with customisable ticking sounds out other sounds you want while you’re focusing on your task. You can change the 25:5 work: break ratio to whatever you like. 4/5 stars because I’d like to see more types of sounds to keep me focused, and when I lock my screen I’d like to see how much time I have left on the timer without having to unlock my phone. I’m quite the phone addict so that would be a major plus!!.Version: 1.10.3

Love the app!Download it a couple months ago, barely used. Tried it again for the second time however, and I've been so productive. Even updgraded to the paid version, it's so much better! Love to used it to track my time spent knowing that aim not just wasting the hours of the day! 100% recommend to all users, it's worth it and it works..Version: 2.1.10

Pretty good but serious bugA pretty good app that otherwise works as you want but found a specific but show stopping bug. If you specify a music track to play as part of your focus, and you delete that track completely from your music library, the app not only crashes the next time you start, but crashes permanently and cannot be started again. I had to delete and reinstall the app. Otherwise, pretty good..Version: 1.8.4

Gets the Job DoneI really enjoy this application, as someone with ADD having such a tool is really helpful to keep me organized and staying on task with a sustained amount of energy. However, I do wish that the long break time could be tweaked without having the PRO version and also it’d be nice if there could be a checklist where there’s a task I’m working on for 4 rounds. There’s a similar application (that has the qualities I stated aboveI prefer over this one, that I use on my laptop. (I forget the name, and my laptops broken, but it’s in the App Store). I will be trying other pomodoro timers to see if there’s a better fit- but this definitely does the job with a clean not-distracting look! I hope my thoughts don’t seem too jumbled in this review, lol..Version: 1.10.3

Use this all the time!I upgraded to pro, but the free version is awesome. Great for people who procrastinate, or who are busy but not feeling like they're getting much done! The power of focus is amazing. I only upgraded so I could adjust the lengths of my sessions, I love that this app is so simple and clutter free..Version: 1.8.4

Beautiful appLove this app. Helps to keep motivated. Would recommend buying the full version and you can customise it more. The free version is still great, very aesthetic and no ads.Version: 1.9.8

PerfectPerfect for studying using pomodoro method, really simple to use.Version: 1.8.4

Best and most simple app ever!!I love this app. It was recommended to me by a friend and I can’t stop using it. It’s really hard for me to stay focused and productive throughout my day. I find myself side tracked easily and always wanting to socially browse. When I got this app to try out I wasn’t sure it was going to work because I’ve used self timers before. But for some reason the presentation of the timer, the ticking sound of the clock showing time passing by, makes me more motivated to stay focused and get my stuff done. I only have the free version but I am looking at getting the pro so I can set my own goals and times. 100% recommend this app!! And I also never rate things but thought this app was worth it!!.Version: 1.10.5

Effective yet imperfectThe app has a great idea and is really simple to use. I like the ticking as a background noise, personally, but it can be shut off for when you aren't studying alone or when it gives you a touch of anxiety about the work. The only thing I didn't particularly find helpful was the pause button on the timer. It allowed me to take breaks during the supposed "work time," so I found myself getting distracted with friends and texts and food... you name it. I guess the good thing about that is when you have the ability to pause for little things like shooting a text to a friend or getting a snack, it keeps you working for the entire work period (default 25 mins). Overall highly recommend the app, as I would have taken much longer to do these assignments without it!.Version: 1.8.4

So simpleThis app is really good. Even though the idea itself is so simple it’s really effective. Those thinking of downloading this don’t let it be a thought but an action. I’m a 15 year old girl with a short attention span but happens to go to a boarding school in england with the oldest uniform in the world and trust me it’s really hard to keep up with the work if you can’t concentrate and this app really helps me get back in track..Version: 1.8.4

Best Pomodoro app available!I’ve been using this app for years and finally I am getting around to reviewing it. I think I’ve probably been using this app on and off for work since circa 2016. I originally tried a number of different Pomodoro focus apps, but ultimately I came back to this one because of its simplicity, customization options and the selection of sounds and alerts. Personally, I like to listen to the noises of the coffee shop while I’m working and then the waves when I’m on my break. A couple years ago I finally broke down and paid for the premium version and I’m glad I did. To pay a small one time fee to be able to use this app whenever and however I want is obviously worth the cost! Keep it up developers of Focus Keeper!.Version: 1.10.5

AmazingI am horrible at keeping focus while studying. The 25:5 ratio works a charm and my productivity is MUCH better! Makes your work less daunting when working with those small goals. I’m quite sensitive to noise but the constant ticking of the little ‘egg-timer’ noise really keeps me focused as well..Version: 1.8.4

Good, but not greatI’ve enjoyed this app, but sometimes the timer doesn’t make a sound. I’ve been using it for the past two hours and it doesn’t make a sound about half the time. Nothing has been changed, so it doesn’t make sense that it will work, then won’t..Version: 2.1.9

Sharing with a groupI like the app and it has been useful for finishing my phd. It would be great if you can share the session with a group of friends, in that way all of us can take breaks at the same time. It would enhance the experience of writing the thesis together..Version: 2.5.5

Handy little appWould be even better if it kept your study records for longer than a month - or if you could select to have your hours emailed to you for your records. My hours studied are tax deductible so I have to remember to record them before the month is over so I don't lose them..Version: 1.8.4

Almost perfect—almost. You can’t ask much from these apps. It does everything it needs to. I love the UI and the way you set the time. There’s only one thing that frustrates me about this app. Why can’t you mute it? I would be watching a video on my iPad and have to switch to a different device due to the incessant ticking. I’m not saying remove the sound(I like it at certain times), but the sound makes it unusable whenever I need to have a video open alongside the app. I love everything else about this, but until that changes I have to use a different pomodoro timer. Looking forward to that being addressed!.Version: 1.10.6

Made me want to studyThis app took me from wanting to cry about exams to actually studying for them. I’ve been able to get at least an hour of study done a day using this, but most days it’s 3+ hours. Th breaks are perfectly timed as I have back problems so can use them to regularly rest my back. The ticking is also quite soothing..Version: 1.8.4

Worth the download for time managementAn app that helps with managing time and keeping focused. Really good to use instead of just managing to your own time. It helps to keep you on track and avoid getting deeply distracted and procrastinating. It has potential but need to buy app for more features which is a shame as having those available in the free version would really add to its value. Overall a good free app..Version: 1.10.3

If getting distracted sounds familiar install thisBefore this app I would constantly be going on my phone and procrastinating. I would not do nearly enough the amount I was supposed to. This app breaks up long periods of time and prevents you from getting distracted. Now I can do hours of work that seems to go by in minutes!.Version: 1.9.9

Highly recommendI’m in my second year of a levels and have been struggling to get work done due to laziness, the pandemic, lack of motivation etc. My friend recommended this app to me so I decided to put it to use today and I have been working for 4 solid sessions in my first day using this! Bare in mind I only started using this app 6 hours ago. The beeping sound makes it easier to drift into work but if it is annoying u can always turn it down! It also prevents u from using ur phone for social media if u leave it on the clock screen. I highly recommend this app for anyone trying to revise!!!.Version: 1.10.6

Easy to accidentally turn the timer offThis app is really useful if you want to use the Pomodoro method for productivity. However, you can pause the timer by tapping anywhere on the screen, not just on the large pause button. This means in can be very easy to accidentally pause the timer when switching between apps using multitasking gestures. It’s incredibly frustrating to switch back to the app after working in a different app and find that the timer has accidentally been paused and you have no idea how long you have been working for. A option to disable the ‘tap anywhere to pause’ feature would be greatly appreciated..Version: 1.9.9

Fantastic! Was a life saver in year 12This year I completed year 12, and whilst I was pretty good with no procrastination and sticking to the task, this app worked like a charm to keep me focussed and help me keep track of how long id studied for that day. It works as a tool for people to just begin working and keep working, or for those who like to organise their time more efficiently. Very easy to navigate and customise (I brought the full version which is really cheap). I especially love the colours and sounds for focus time( for example the cafe sounds take you far away to a place that you can be in a mind set to work).Version: 1.8.4

The best focus timer out there. It really nails the pomodoro technique to a T. Great way to keep you focused on the tasks at hand in an efficient manner. 10/10.Version: 2.5.5

Great appIt is very very useful for studying. This technique is great but what’s even better is that this app is so simple and provides such a wonderful experience even without paying. There are absolutely no ads and everything functions the way it should. I did end up buying it because it was very cheap to do so and because I used it so much, it was worth the payment of $0.99. With the paid version you just get to tweak things and change things to suit you better but even without the paid version, it’s still so amazing. I decided to change the time intervals to suit me and after a while I just reverted back to the suggested time because it just worked the best for me. I highly recommend this app for its usefulness and because I am thankful to the creators for not bombarding me with ads and making the nonpaid experience perfect!.Version: 1.9.8

Just about perfect - one minor adjustmentThis app is exactly as simple as it needs to be. Easy to maneuver, easy to set and allows you to customise colours/tones for personal preference. HOWEVER, one slight adjustment that I would make is that you can currently only set a different tone to denote the end of a long break, however it would be more useful to have a different tone to denote the beginning of a long break. I try to avoid any interaction with my phone when I am working (and therefore using this app) and naturally I use my breaks differently when I have a long break compared to a short break. At the moment, I have to check the timer to see if I have a short or long break but it would be much more preferable to avoid having the pull my phone out as that reintroduces the distractor..Version: 1.9.9

Really usefulDoes what it says.Version: 1.9.9

Better than physical timers. So versatile and extensive optionsHave used this app for a few years now and it ALWAYS improves my productivity. I have tried physical pomodoro times but they never do as good a job. Being able to pause, skip and alter a segment has been so useful. Also being able to make your own modified version of the work and break times is next level in my opinion. Could not be happier with this ap.Version: 2.5.7

Great App!This is a great app, it allows me to focus for 25 minutes and I find that is enough time to get focused and immersed in a task, but also reminds me to have regular breaks. It has really helped me with studying for my a-levels because I usually work and work and work, always stressed about time and how I'm going to cover everything, meaning that I end up not focusing on the task that I'm doing! But with this app I've begun to concentrate more on the task I'm completing and allows me not to become a nervous wreck at the end of the day. Best app I have found to focus. 100% recommend for anytime who is studying :).Version: 1.8.4

Great AppEasy to use and right mix of features. This app is helping to keep me on track and improve my study technique..Version: 1.8.4

Actually helpfulThis really helped me stop staring at the wall and actually study..Version: 1.8.4

An app just as important as the selfie camera 😉!AN ABSOLUTE MUST THROUGHOUT STUDYING! I have literally only been using this app for the past 3hrs and is the best thing ever. I am currently in Yr 12 and know that this is going to help me immensely, as I struggle a lot with over working and spending too long on the one task. This app reminds me when to have breaks and avoids me being burnt out and overthinking on the nitty gritty..Version: 1.9.9

Great app! It’s pretty good to keep you on track of time when you need it..Version: 2.5.5

It works right awaySo simple and effective. I love the ticking old clock sound. I'm seeing exactly where I've been losing time, thinking things took less time than they truly do and this app shows me how long I'm taking to get stuff done. Ideal for me. Get me out of perfection mode..Version: 1.8.4

Focus!Warren Buffet and Bill Gates were both asked what the biggest contributing factor to their success was, and they both said focus. In an age with advertisements, social media and the internet, distractions are everywhere and focus is something that is increasingly becoming more difficult. This app has definitely increased my productivity and helped me to be more disciplined. As someone who is only productive when there's the pressure of an approaching deadline, breaking the time into 25 minutes slots has really made me achieve a lot more. A great little app!.Version: 1.8.4

Full of fuctionalitiesYou can customize it easily. So much functionalities ! I feel like they listen to their users 😍🥰.Version: 2.1.9

Great appObviously, I love this application very much hence the 5 stars. The only thing that I want is the ability to get the total number of hours spent on an activity/task and not just total number of hours per week..Version: 2.1.10

The OGImmaculate format and layout of the app. Easy to navigate and simple, making it more appealing to open the app and study with a “clean” system. Good selection of buzzer tones (although I would appreciate that selection being expanded). I am a first year uni student and would have loved if I had know about this app let alone this system of studying when I was completing year 12!.Version: 1.8.4

Awesome for ProductivityI'm a huge procrastinator, but with this app I've been able to stay focussed on my study. You get 5 X 25 min study sessions with 5 minute breaks in between and a long 25 mins break after the completion of the study sessions. It makes breaking down your study really easy. Highly recommend..Version: 1.8.4

Pretty DecentA simple but effective app to prevent burnout while working or studying (I use it for studying Japanese). The Pomodoro method helps not only with keeping you at your peak of attention span, but also helps with the much more subtle fear that feeds wandering attention and procrastination: the fear that the workload will never end. It's perfect and very comforting for overwhelming tasks that you dread sitting down to tackle. The app itself is so visually simple, it doesn't distract, but reassures you in an easy to read timer. Personally, I customized it, turning off the tick tick sounds on the work sessions and the long break- on work sessions I found it to be stressful, and who wants a timer ticking loudly on their long break away from work? The ticking works well though for the short breaks, to keep you mindful that they're brief. There's also a reminder that rings every Monday at 2pm, suggesting that you plug in for a session, which I rather found adorable. It's kept me from dropping the app and forgetting it, and as a result, put in more regular study time..Version: 1.8.4

Tomato timerBased on the Pomodoro technique this helps you concentrate for a small block of time and then take a five minute break. The ticking will either help or be bothersome, but you can always silence it. A simple tool that works well for me --just don't be distracted by social media!!! (Use an app that locks access to wi-fi, or turn it off for the same time period if you can)..Version: 1.8.4

Excellent Strategy For ProductivityThe Pomodora technique was developed by Italian Francesco Cirillo in the 1980's and is an excellent way of getting things done at work and this app works v. well in keeping you "on track" with timings through the day. I use the standard 25min slots after experimenting with different timings - this app allows full customisation- have a look at Wikipedia for all details or just Google it, loads of info out there. Recommending this app, no issues in over a year of use.Version: 1.8.4

AwesomeLove the interface! Wish there was a chrome webstore version for my laptop. All in all, this is the best there is!.Version: 2.0.15

Completely Changes the WFH BalanceAfter switching from 5-6 days a week in the office, to COVID and working from home, I really struggled to balance everything. Somehow the load of laundry or the dishes in the sink were very hard to ignore while trying to focus on work. I found myself constantly distracted, only able to focus on work when household tasks were done (which of course they never are!) This app changed my life. The structure of working for 25 minutes with a 5 minute break allows for focus time, and then I can take 5 minutes to switch the laundry or empty the dishwasher, which really helps to keep the work-life balance actually balanced. Four repeats of a “block” equals 8 hours of focus, which also makes a very tangible way to work 8 hours during your day. And this is broken up by 30 minute breaks between each two hour block, which I find helps me produce higher quality work throughout the day, while also giving me time to keep up with housework. I highly recommend focus keeper to anyone struggling to work from home and keep their work life balance..Version: 1.10.6

Lifesaver!I have ADHD and this app really helps me stay on task at work! I should try using it for the chores I have been avoiding 😇 It’s nice that there are little breaks between the chunks- 25 minutes goes by quicker than you’d think! And then you can chill for a bit. You can also set the timings for focused work and breaks to suit you. Thank you for such an amazing app!.Version: 1.10.6

Easy way to tame the procrastination beastGreat tool to enable a productive habit to adopt....bursts of deep work with a routine of breaks essential for the desk worker..Version: 1.10.6

A lifesaverAnyone who knows me knows that I'm a serial procrastinator and so when I started my A-levels I was in desperate need of something to keep me on track. This app works wonders and it only requires me to concentrate for 25 minutes at a time before I'm allowed a break and this way a whole day's work seems a lot less intimidating. Additionally after working for four 25-minute sessions the app rewards you with a long break - enough time to go for some fresh air, do some exercise, or (let's be honest here) watch an episode of a TV show. This app changed the way I work and allows me to work a full 8-hour day of studying at home without becoming run-down or losing focus..Version: 1.8.4

Helping me through my roughest dayIf I have a day of intense productivity (aka hyperfocus), I suffer from brain fog for the next few days, sometimes even a whole week. Today is one those days. I was struggling through the most basic tasks. I couldn’t even focus for a 5 minute stretch in order to answer my work emails. This app is a lifesaver for my ADHD brain. I turned on the White Noise app and set the timer for 10 minutes. So far I’ve been able to complete 3 cycles of 10 minutes each. I’ve now bumped it up to 15 minutes. Hopefully the apps will carry me through the day. Update 10/6 - I have one complaint about the way the app functions. I have it installed on my iPhone. It seems to stop randomly and it doesn’t restart itself or even alert me to let me know that I need to restart it. I don’t know if it stops when I get a text message or a phone call or if a calendar alert pops up. I’m so focused on my work (or trying to be focused re:ADHD). I only realize that the timer has stopped when I switch to it to see how much time is left until my next break. It’s very frustrating..Version: 1.10.6

Worth itThis app is incredible, especially if you have trouble focusing for long periods of time! It breaks up your time into short study periods, and allows you to have breaks in between. It’s been proven that a student can only focus for 20 minutes, so revising in short bursts is definitely the most effective way to use your time! Will be recommending this to my younger friends, as this saved me during A levels!.Version: 1.8.4

Very helpfulSo I just started using this app and I find it quite useful. I usually get distracted easily or I sit and study for hours so my progress slows down and I get tired very easily but with this app, I set myself 30 minutes and 5 minutes break and now I’ve actually done a lot of work in 2 hours than I would have if I did 2 hours straight. Highly recommend..Version: 1.9.8

Great app for procrastinators! If you, like me, find it hard to get started on something or often check your phone while working, then this is the app for you! 25 mins feels shorter with this app and so it doesn't feel hard putting away everything for that long and focusing. Simple concept but extremely effective! I have the Pro version which let's you customise the focus and break times etc, very useful. Highly recommended!.Version: 1.8.4

Best free Pomodoro appIf you just want a free simple professional looking Pomodoro app this is it. Less awkward and slow that other paid apps. Free version only offers the timer and charts for three days. It also has a notification bar widget which most other ones don't. Only thing it's not very clear what stage it's on or where the options are (too minimalist for its own good). But when you find them you find there is quite a lot of functionality such as changing alarm sounds and colour themes..Version: 1.8.4

Great app that made a difference to meThe pomodoro method is not complicated and does not require a complex app, and thankfully the developer has made this efficient and easy to use. The app can’t make you stick to your work, but it makes it as easy as possible to and you will find yourself focussing that little bit more consistently with it. Simple, clear and effective design, and a tool that makes a difference..Version: 1.9.9

Pomodoro is bestOf all the methods of staying focused I've tried, pomodoro has worked the best. Time does go by quickly and I often find I want to keep working into my break. The ration of work to rest also can be changed to suit you which is very handy. Would definitely recommend this to students who find staying on task difficult..Version: 1.8.4

This app is game changingI am so glad that I gave this app a try today. Ever since I was young, I struggled with my ability to focus and read material for long period of time. I foolishly thought that buckling down and trying to get through long readings/tasks in one setting was the key to efficiency, and boy was I wrong. This app is so incredibly helpful in increasing my productivity. Normally I struggle with reading upwards of 30+ pages of homework/other material in one day. Only using this app for one day, I have been able to read over 100 pages without feeling any sort of burnt out. The Pomodoro method that this app is meant to emulate is ingenious, and is a game changer in the realm of productivity and self improvement..Version: 1.10.5

A God Send for ExamsUsed it on and off all semester, but I truely put it through its paces for exams. Really helps rationalise and pace a full days study and stops it from feeling overwhelming. Plenty of options and features available so you can customise the app to your liking and a very simple layout that avoids looking cluttered with very intuitive controls..Version: 1.9.8

Great tool for building good work habitsI trailed a few of these apps and this is the best one I have come across. Very simple to use and well designed. I have found it very helpful in building better work routines. I look forward to further updates..Version: 1.8.4

Excellent!I used this app during high school exams and I have recently started using it for university assessment work. I am really bad for procrastinating and going off topic but this app makes getting your head down and working easy as the short 25 minute recommended working time slots are manageable and show you how much you have achieved. Highly recommend!.Version: 1.9.9

A gentle task masterI have been using this app for over a year now during my PhD and have found it very useful for helping me to stay focused on my daily tasks and for managing screen fatigue. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to adjust focus/rest time according to my situation and for having a record of my productivity over time. I would highly recommend this app, especially for students who otherwise lack a rigid work environment..Version: 1.10.6

Consistent with pomodoro techniqueGreat way to study via the pomodoro technique!.Version: 1.8.4

Highly recommend!Top procrastinator who’s easily distracted and burns out often. This app is fantastic way to avoid and manage all of that. It is easy to use and with options to suit each persons needs for sound and time. I recommend this app for anyone who wants to get $*** done..Version: 1.10.6

HaushshI keep trying to upgrade but it wont let me im annoyed.Version: 2.1.4

Great app!Does a great job at keeping me on track the ticking sounds may annoy some but it is optional and helps me stay on track very easily ! :) great app no complaints really.Version: 1.8.4

Great app!I have a hard time focusing for long periods of time but the focus app helps me breakdown my productive periods and give me a break in between. I have been able to be much more productive using the app and highly recommend it to others.Version: 1.10.6

LOVE IT!👌🏽👌🏽😉😉😉🔥🔥🔥😁ADHD and procrastination — I enjoy racing with myself like I’m in a race or something so it makes it a little bit more fun for me. So when it starts I’m like “alright let’s GOOO... LEGOOO!!!! 1,2,3 you got this... Then while it’s going and then close to finished I’ve done all these things and then realised wow!!! So much time in a day and we don’t realise how much we can actually utilise our time wisely!!! Let’s all smash this and achieve our goals or whatever they may be! This app gets a 5/5 from me!!!.Version: 1.10.3

Mega procrastinatorSome how made it through Med school without this app. Now in surgical training and could not have survived without it , so simple yet so powerful. Stop reading reviews and download it and get to work, it will change your life..Version: 1.10.6

Amazing for anyone! As someone who gets distracted very easily and procrastinates so much, this was amazing for me. I am actually writing this review during my short break. I love how the ticking noise is available to go on in the background. As much as I thought it would bother me, it really doesn’t. It helps me keep in line and focused. I like the reminds that it gives you after a break or session is over too! I have not gone pro yet but possibly in the future I would. And it’s so cheap for so much! I can’t forget how I like how you can adjust the time if you feel that you are on a streak and don’t want to stop yet. It’s amazing! I better get back to writing my English paper now haha. Great app! I recommend it for anyone of all ages!.Version: 1.10.8

Best Pomodoro Timer You Can Get!!Trust me I’ve scoped them all, even written a couple myself (via Shortcuts), but this is the best app on the AppStore if you’re often distracted, unmotivated, or suffer from adult ADHD. I definitely upgraded to pro, worth it to customize my chimes (Pavlov conditioning myself haha), and set the background colors to something I enjoy glancing at all day. The main benefit of this app in my opinion is the tracking/data analytic aspect they perfectly built in. The only thing I wish this app had was a text box you could enter your current task into so that it was present on-screen while the work-session timer is counting down. All in all this is my favorite and most used app whenever I have big tasks to work on or if I ever feel my productivity isn’t at the level where I know it can be. Highly recommend my friends! Edit: One other note, seems the chime settings are a bit backwards. I guess I expect to set the chime sound that would start the session. For example when setting the Focus Alarm to News Is expect that sound to play when I’m going into a new Focus session however I have to set this sound to the other two breaks to get this to play how I intend since the sound for Focus Alarm actually plays when that session is over..Version: 1.9.9

Loved itBest pomodoro timer I've tried, love the wave sounds..Version: 1.8.4

Changed My Life!I absolutely cannot believe how much more productive I am in my work, professionally and personally, when I use Focus Keeper. I am an editor/writer working from home, and both my work assignments and my housekeeping tasks were all slow, unfocused, and disorganized before I found this app. Now, with Focus Keeper, I work faster in my job, and during my 5-minute breaks, I always get up and move around. Since I’m not sitting as long at one time, I don’t get as stiff and uncomfortable as I used to, and—bonus—I get so many little household chores accomplished during those brief breaks of five minutes throughout the day (things that I have successfully put off for days, weeks, months...years). I love this app! Thank you, Focus Keeper!.Version: 1.10.6

IndispensableFor an easily-distracted writer with ADHD like me, this app prompts intense bursts of focused work which stay manageable because I always know there’s a planned break ahead. ADHD rebels against routine, but really needs it too. I can churn out 4000+ words in four 25 minute bursts for a first draft manuscript using this app, productivity that was unimaginable before using Focus Keeper. I pay for the extra options; the right ticking sound for focus, the relaxing ocean audio for the breaks, the screen colours which feel appropriate to me. All this makes the app easy and fun to use every day. Thank you, developers – it’s a career-saver..Version: 1.10.6

Lovely application. This app make you managed your time well. It is amazing application if you want to focus on your work effectively. However, there is a missing feature that would make it more popular. If developer adds a leader board that user can see who is a winner of the time, it might be more fun to use this app. Please add the feature!.Version: 2.1.10

Great appI found this quite handy. I usually get distracted while revising, and instead of using an app that blocks my social media, I used this instead. This kept me quite motivated and made the time go quicker than usual. I usually revise for an hour and take 10 minutes (this is kind of the same but 30 minutes with 5 minute break) and then take an hours break after 2 hours of work. This app offers 25 minutes after 2 hours which for me, isn't long enough to cook some food. But does give you the option to pause the timer to give you slightly longer. Great app.Version: 1.8.4

Great way to track your workI use this app every time I have to write something. I used to think that I invest a lot of time into writing. Then, I used this app and noticed that I was spending much less time on writing than I had thought. Valuable time went to waste for lunch break, coffee break, snack break etc. With this app I recorded the net time I actually do writing and was a bit surprised. So, now I use it to measure the actual time I spend on a task. This keeps me focused and motivated!.Version: 1.10.6

Must have for university students.I love this app. I use it every day for school work. I’ll keep it open on my phone so anytime I start to get distracted and pick up my phone, the bright red screen and timer pops up to remind me I’m on the clock. It makes dreadful tasks less dreadful because there is always an end in sight. It makes me feel productive because I can visibly see how much I’ve gotten done. I really like to spend the work period working, and the break period cleaning or doing chores. It’s a good way to be active in between long periods of sitting, keeps me awake, and is a nice way to get chores done in short periods that would have otherwise been spent scrolling on my phone. The pomodoro timer is an excellent way to put some much needed routine into my study sessions..Version: 1.9.9

A winner - beats the other apps - no contestI have tried many many focus apps and this one has the right level of flexibility and simplicity for me. A simple interface with easy setup and intuitive functionality that means you can get to your work instead of playing with the app. Well worth buying the full version. Best features: easy of use, works in the background; does not drain the battery. It's a winner for me..Version: 1.8.4

Love that this is freeThis is the best app- the fact that is free is so helpful.Version: 2.5.5

Does exactly what it says on the tinJust quietly, I love FocusKeeper. Imagine a concept so simple it makes you instantly more productive. I’m easily distracted, but FocusKeeper gives me 25mins to work on something, without interruption. It means I stay on task no matter what. At the end of the day, I feel like I’ve achieved heaps. Thoroughly recommended. Five stars!.Version: 1.10.5

Help u achieve ur goalsThis app helped me become laser focus working towards attending to goals that had sat on my “to do” list for over a year. Breaking the work segments into 25mins helped me chip away at achieving the goals. The break time of 5mins enabled me to take a wander or run some scales up & down the keys, so when I started the next 25mins, my mind was fresh..Version: 1.10.5

My favorite Pomodoro timerOf the many Pomodoro technique timers I’ve downloaded on my phone and desktop to help me stay focused during my work sprints, this has by far been my favorite. I’m a stickler for good, intuitive UX, especially when it comes to productivity apps. The last thing I need when trying to get work done is an app that takes too long to customize or setup! I love that I can readjust my focus segments right there on the timer page with a simple slider, rather than being forced into the options to make a universal change. That way, my focus segments can fit any sort of scheduling fluctuations or preferences that day. Signals and alarms when the segments are up are loud enough over any background focus music I’m using, but aren’t jarring. Overall, I highly recommend this app for anyone needing help to focus and get work done with a simple setup!.Version: 1.10.5

Amazingly HelpfulIt's extremely helpful in keeping you focused on any task. There's something about it where you feel satisfied and also like you owe it to the app and yourself to continue. 25 minutes doesn't seem long, and if you do face a passage of your work that isn't capturing your interest, you know that you only need to try until the break, and you'll be able to step away for a few minutes and relax. I'll never study or write papers without this app again. Nothing captures my attention and keeps it more than this app. I could have all the time in the world, but be unable to stick to a schedule, but with this, I can keep myself absolutely focus and undistracted for hours. I only feel accomplishment and pride in what I've done. I cannot recommend this app enough!.Version: 1.8.4

GreatEverything a pomodoro track time we need, completed with a calendar and possibility of programming recurrent task. great: it respect our private life 😌 overall a great app! thanks.Version: 2.1.9

Helps with ADHDI have an ADHD since forever and this app helps so much for focusing! I normally can’t get any task done, but now it is sooo easy! As a student with a part time job, I am very busy with all my homework(cause I don’t concentrate in class lol), and this helps me to work smarter, not harder!.Version: 2.1.10

Good for forming study habitsCould study like 20 hours a day back in the cramming days... now at uni lost all concentration to even cram let alone have a consistent study habit. At the start was a bit hard to follow pomodoro technique but now can concentrate like old days just ignoring everything and studying on my own. Good app, the timer sound is better than other apps imo..Version: 1.8.4

Great Design. Needs Apple Watch supportThe UI looks great and easy to use. Really want Apple Watch Version.Version: 2.1.0

Great App, A few tweaks neededGreat functionality, great to be able to change timer/interval duration. Would be good if reminders could be set to a particular time rather than on the hour. Would also be handy to optionally have the timer show on lock screen..Version: 1.9.9

Great all-aroundI like this app because unlike other apps similar to it, you can leave your phone on do not disturb and still get the notifications from this app. That way, this app helps you stay on track without getting distracted by other phone notifications. It also allows you to skip, shorten, and extend breaks and work sessions. This app also automatically resets the timer for each new day as you sleep (you can change the time for it to reset in settings if you're typically up past midnight). One slightly annoying thing is that if you get a phone call while the timer is going, it will automatically pause itself when the call ends..Version: 1.9.9

Amazing thank youI have never been able to sit still and focus, well without lots of chocolate and caffeine. I am currently studying my masters while working and don’t have tome to waste. This app has been a god send. If my mind wanders or I want to get up and procrastinate I look at the countdown and realise I only have so many minutes before I can take a break. Thank you so much, this app has got me through many assignments now.Version: 1.10.5

GET ITMy therapist recommended a Pomodoro Timer to help my ADD. I had to use a few apps before I found one that fit well. I love this app! It helps me stay focused on the task I need to complete. I’ve completed chores I’ve put off for months. Hearing the timer helps my brain stay on track. It’s also given me a realistic idea of how much time it really takes to complete something which has eliminated the feeling of overwhelm before I start something. I also look forward to the breaks! The only issue I have is I wish you could Label the task you’re working on to look back on what you’ve completed. This may be possible with the paid version however I use the free..Version: 1.10.6

Very helpful to track creative work timeGreat for tracking time committed to tasks, and noticing when it’s time to take a break to fresh.Version: 2.5.10

PerfectThis app is perfect for helping me keep going when I want to, and not worry that I’m either taking too many breaks or taking too few breaks.Every work day I use this, I’m happy at the end!.Version: 2.5.5

👌🏼Useful if you utilize it properly.Version: 1.8.4

So helpful with my Adult ADHD!!!After being diagnosed with ADHD in my late adulthood, meeting in my late 20s… LOL, I had to find ways to figure out how to manage my focus. Even with medication, I still find myself focusing on the wrong things. But this app has been extremely helpful in reminding me to take breaks, and then use my super power of hyperfocus to get things done. I definitely recommend this to a lot of people who are struggling with distractions, and one thing that I would change, is being able to set a title during each focus session so that I know exactly what I should be focusing on. I use stickies at the moment and then crumble them when I’m done (which is so rewarding). Definitely will be using this... without I think I would be homeless because I wouldn’t get any work done. I rarely leave reviews, but this is the GOAT of focus apps. Good job!! (And this comes from a UX Designer btw 🤓).Version: 1.10.5

The only way I get things done these daysI don’t have ADHD (as far as I know), but I do have focus issues that can make it difficult to be productive for long periods, and I have a lot of stuff to do (including school prep) on which I fall behind if I’m not consistent in my working habits. This app helps me get a LOT more done on a consistent basis and track how well I’m doing over a two-week to one-month period. I paid for the pro upgrade pretty much on the first day because I knew I’d be using the app to death and having the ability to customize everything is a huge help. One weird bug I’ve come across is that when I pick a time for the round and goals to reset, it always picks the time one hour before that. I’ve learned to work around this — it’s just a little odd and can be annoying if you don’t catch it when picking a new reset time. Otherwise, I have no major complaints — the app works beautifully. It would be nice to be able to use it in split view on iPad, but that’s more of a request than a complaint..Version: 1.10.6

Great!!!Amazing and simple to use - helped me through my exams..Version: 1.8.4

Very helpfulGreat app. Easy to use. It keeps me focussed and has good colours and tones. Highly recommend.Version: 1.10.6

Super helpful, tried this as a last resort and haven't looked back!In a desperate Situation having left my masters degree work 'til last minute and this has helped with motivation and keeping on track. I recommend the paid version as you can set your own minutes, colours etc. Timer noise really aids with focus and knowing you have a set amount of time to complete x really spurs me on. Just make sure to be disciplined and actually obey the timer!!!.Version: 1.10.6

Great for ProcrastinatorsThis app is a great resource to use to successfully space out your time. One thing I learned about me and other procrastinators is that we often over calculate how much time we need for breaks from productivity. Constant excuses keep people from staying on task, and that’s how time loss happens. This app has really helped me to stay focused because you always know there will be a break after a certain period of work, while also not overdoing it. I like to go with the 25:5 ratio, but you can adjust your times according to your needs. This has helped me keep it a habit to be productive with my time, and it’s really easy to use. Definitely suggest you try it out for a few days and see how it goes! (Because it’s really helpful!).Version: 1.9.9

Great Tool for Those with ADHDI've been diagnosed with ADHD for about 10 years now, and as such, I've been through quite a few apps when trying to figure out a method of studying. I know this isn't the only place to access a pomodoro timer but it is definitely my favorite. The app is super intuitive to use (just hit a button to start and you're good to go). Even the price for pro is something I'd consider paying if you find it worth it. Normally, I scoff when I see the price of the "premium" version of an app, when in reality it's just a paywall to ensure I have to pay money to get the true functionality of the app, but Focus Keeper is super affordable and actually doesn't limit much by having pro features. All you really need the app for is the timer, and it's got that covered. The only thing you miss out on by not going pro is having a breakdown of your stats and editing the length of timers..Version: 2.1.6

Error with new updateWhen i turn my phone lengthwise sometimes it wont change until I swipe through and try again. Only happened after the new update..Version: 2.2

Simple. Easy. Focused. What I really like about this app is that it is primarily a timer. No distracting (let's help you procrastinate) features to streamline tasks, or manage workflow, or plan your day. Just a timer. Exactly what I need. Thanks..Version: 1.8.4

LOL! So many other ADHD reviews! Yes!This is a game changer for me. It’s an external structure for organizing your time. Because if you have ADHD, you DO NOT HAVE AN INTERNAL ONE. The cue in between breaks and focus time is the most pleasant little ding. Working from home has been awful for me because brain wants to putter and clean house, but I HAVE to get work done. This easily helps me tick tock between 25 minutes of HAVE TO and 5 minutes of putter/ping around. I can stop myself from wandering off to do the thing I want to do because I’m anticipating my break. I can stick it out because I can see that it’s just another 14 minutes until I can do all the little “oh! I ought to…” tasks. ♥️♥️♥️.Version: 2.1.9

Free version perfect for my needsI'm a huge procrastinator so this app is excellent at keeping me focussed for short blocks of time. Can turn sounds off so my phone lights up when it's time to take a break and time to get back to work when I'm studying in the library.Version: 1.8.4

Procrastinate no more!I am pretty self aware, so I know I’m a big procrastinator! I got this app because I am a day and half away from a uni deadline and still couldn’t sit down to focus. This app helps me because the ticking reminds me I’m meant to be working and then the breaks give me enough time to grab a drink and reply to texts! The only downside is that you can actually leave the app during the “working” time, what would be nice is if it did alarm bells or something if you leave to remind you that you should be working? Still 4 STARS!! (I am writing this in my long break too!).Version: 1.8.4

RecommendGreat if you are easily distracted and cannot focus. Awesome if you haven’t studied in years and need a little direction. Thanks.Version: 1.9.9

Almost perfect, the best I've used so farI really enjoy this app - it has a clean interface (with NO ads in the free version - much appreciated) and the option to tweak the length of each type of work or break session. It also includes long sessions & breaks, which many of the apps I've tried that rival this one to me, do not include - very big plus, and truer to the pomodoro technique. The only thing so far I can complain about is that the sound alert for new sessions does not take priority over things like music or videos playing in the background - pretty much every other app that has a sound alert will slightly lower the volume of whatever you have playing to allow the chime to be heard, but this one gets drowned out. I either have to not have music playing, or have the app idle and visible so I can notice the sessions changing. I'm not really satisfied with being able to up the volume of the alert - I'd really appreciate if this were updated..Version: 1.8.4

Great app, but...So I’ve only been using this for a few days to help keep my focus on work at home instead of all the background activity that I don’t usually have when I was working in the office. Generally speaking, I really do like this and find it easier to keep my focus on my tasks knowing I’ve got a short break coming up. I like the functionality of the app - I appreciate the simplicity and ease in using it. My only complaint is that, if I have to switch apps, it will stop the clock. I know the point is to focus, but my employer is using a VOIP app to let us answer our calls via our mobile phones while at home, meaning I don’t really have a choice about switching between this and the phone app. But, when I switch back, the timer has often stopped. And, if I forget to switch back and check it, then I’m often sitting there thinking to myself that it seems like a really long 25 minutes! If this bug was fixed, I would absolutely give this app 5 stars..Version: 1.10.5

Good app but always seems to need improvementThe app keeps developing and getting new features and it’s very nice, that said it I often find little bugs here and there. For example I’ve done 3, 20 minute focus sessions. The daily overview says I have focused 1h 57m, which isn’t right and I’m sure alludes a feature where you are considered to continue working after a focus session assuming you checked out, but with no way to correct it’s mistake and the timeline saying I worked from 11:11am to 11:12am I have no way to really know what happened. I’m sure this is a small detail to most but I’m in a productivity group that asks for progress reports so exporting the reports is something I do often. I’m sure this feature will be improved, but I expect to see new features added with similar minor issues and wanted share the cycle you should expect..Version: 2.5.3

Does the jobI haven't really gone into too many of the features but I love it's interface a lot better than the other timers Definitely helps me focus knowing there's smaller breaks around the cornor.Version: 1.8.4

Pomodoro dream!Pomodoro is such a great way to study or work to stay focused. Features I like: -free version still has great functionality -simple timer interface -modifiable times for “focus” and “break” -prevents screen lock and is easy to see from a distance (red=focus blue=short break grey=long break) -transition “ding” between phases isn’t obnoxious -you can see your progress down the bottom Features I’d like to see: -a place in focus timer to note “distractions” to be done during short/long breaks.Version: 1.9.9

Almost perfectBeautiful, gives me a sense of the physical kitchen pomodoro with beautiful real and pleasant sounds, it is a real pleasure having it in my desk. The reason why it is a 4 is because it lacks web connection and task stats which still makes me go back to my other apps, integration is key for me, other than that, I am keeping it because of its appeal and solid basic functionality..Version: 1.8.4

Got me through crunch-time studyingWe’ve all had the heart-dropping-through-stomach, holy-guacamole-I-haven’t-even-STARTED-my-10-page-Literature-paper-due-tomorrow feeling, and it’s a feeling that leaves us hopelessly overwhelmed! I didn’t know what else to do other than, like my fellow Gen Z’ers, to consult my mobile phone (this here iPhone) and seek the counsel of the App Store gods. Profs have recommended to me the Pomodoro technique (4 rounds of 25 minutes working, 5 minute breaking followed by a longer break—I thought it sounded silly but silly is perhaps the best option once you’ve hit rock bottom!) and I knew I couldn’t trust myself to keep myself accountable for the time intervals, so why not use the app? Super simple, no frills, honestly not very fun either but I guess that’s the point, lol. 12/10 would recommend to a friend (or even an enemy). Paper still isn’t done, but here’s to 25-on, 5-off for the rest of this fine evening! Cheers.Version: 1.9.9
