✓ Great AppEasy to use app to share a schedule with someone. There’s different coloured tags you can use to differentiate events, it notifies you when the event will happen or any changes, you can also set alarm/ reminders. ✓ Organising the unorganised mum!I have been using Time Tree for years now. I have separate calendars for different members of my family which allows me to (view all calendars) quickly understand where people are and if they are available. This is mostly due to childcare support but also organising family events when everyone works full time but also have/had 2 members of the family working away in shifts. I can set up specific reoccurrences for my husbands shifts and this means I could look years in advance and plan big holidays if need be! Multi access means that family can update their own calendars too and add things that I need to consider or be aware of. You can switch notification reminders on/off - so I have previously had morning well-being/mantra notifications depending on any particular health/fitness focus. ✓ It’s GreatI’ve been using TimeTree for years now I want to say. It’s consistent, always works, free and well designed. It allows my wife and I to have separate calendars for different parts of our life, synced in between us, with a lot of cool features. I would recommend it, and would recommend at least trying it. Something I loved about it from the get go is that you don’t have to create an account or give up your email if you don’t want (I didn’t at first). You still get all of the features, just if you lose your device or whatever may happen you lose your calendar without an account to back it up to. It’s changed the way I think about calendar apps. Recently we were not satisfied with Google calendar and Google photos experience so we decided to give some other apps a try. First app we tried was no good. ✓ Great app for group calendarsOur group uses this app to coordinate our time as a social distancing measure during the COVID-19 crisis. We all need access to a certain location during the week, so to ensure social distancing we downloaded this app as a communication tool to let the others know when we would be there. It’s much nicer than text-bombing each other with our coordinates. You can set up multiple separate calendars for different groups, and send the invitation to join based on a unique calendar. Each calendar only allows invitees to see that calendar, but not others. The only drawback, and it is a minor one, is that editing an account is not intuitive for people who don’t use apps much (I.e. are not tech savvy). This is why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5. I love that I could see on the calendar about the things I have to do and it’s not like a calendar list and it’s not too fancy either (unlike other calendar apps 😒). ✓ Disability friendlyLike a good ADHDr I download and never use a billion different calendar apps. I use Structured daily but after years of trying to see if anything’s superior to TimeTree- hard no. Right now I’m in an Apprenticeship and am able to track my hours with the proper color coding in one calendar. I keep my kids sports calendars in one and while running a mental health agency in the pandemic this was a true Godsend. I don’t use this for my daily Calendar simply because I’ve found it’s just too flawless for the zillion groups and resources that I need to keep track of but I don’t need to be reminded of. The one thing that I really, really wish was that there’s a way to share Calendars without downloading the app. I hyper focused on uploading resources and sharing with my colleagues on Google Calendar was easier. ✓ Uniquely Helpful Calendar/Scheduling Tool!I have long searched for the right calendar app. Google, Apple, And Microsoft all tried to make one, and they all have good things to offer, but I felt they often missed the point of scheduling… the point is to know definitively what’s coming up and what I (and my family) need to do to be ready for it. TimeTree is an amazing answer to this problem! The interface is clean, intuitive, and even has some useful customization. The sharing and collaboration features, with memos, tasks, and member assignments all make this app so much more than just a calendar, but an actual reflection of how you should productively think about each day. I have signed up SO MANY friends and family members at this point we can’t even count them. I have ALL my calendars integrated into one place: I have my personal life calendar in which I share with my Fiance’. Ladies, let me tell ya. This is a relationship hack. He not only uses it but he LOVES IT. I can update the calendar and he gets notifications, he can update the calendar and I get the notifications that he has booked golf with the boys 😂 haha. AND, I even have a “honey-do-list” where if I need things done, I can add things and when he does em, he can check off the box and I’m notified. It’s truly a beautiful thing. Colour coded and all. Then, I have my bills and finances built into another separate calendar; and the 3 businesses I run all have their own calendars. AND, I’m planning my wedding! So, when I said busy, I mean I’m BUSY. I tried motion and all these other apps and calendars to help me run and organize my life but there were issues with most. But the widget only allows you to select an option to view your own events, there is no option to select a calendar, which means all of your calendars mesh together in the widget. I would LOVE the ability to choose a particular calendar when adding the widget, and then add multiple widgets each with a different calendar (similar to how it works with the native Reminders app on iPhone) so that I could still keep my calendars separate, but I could stack the widgets to flip between the calendar I want to view. I’ve been using this for over a year and the reminders and colorful decoration are perfect for my forgetful self. I can put my schedule in one color, appointments that my mom needs my help getting to in a different color and should dad need me that is in a different color yet. ✓ CalendarAllows my family to block book time in our shared space easily and quickly. The option of commenting allows us to quickly clear up any confusion. Best bit is it doesn’t lead to spending inordinate amounts of time navigating social media groups and the inevitable distractions (look at the cute dog, how was dinner last night?, here’s a funny meme...). Want to book out Monday afternoon next week? Look on the calendar. It’s free, book it, done. Everyone can see it’s booked and if anyone else wants to use it etc then they can comment directly. If it’s not free and you want it, you know who’s booked it and can speak directly to the person to check potential work arounds. ✓ Great calendar view!I love that I can see what actual event I have when I look at month view-- it is SO MUCH BETTER than trying to investigate what certain dots mean like on ical or google cal. Also VERY helpful when trying to get a sense for what my month looks like including multi-day events. We travel a lot for work so it really helps. We don't use the personal calendars as much but schedule events as out google accounts so it makes a copy in google calendar if we need backup. This works well too. One down side, the directions are REALLY hard to understand in English, when I went to add a calendar later I just clicked around somehow until it added. I haven’t encountered any problems with it and I’ve read all the critical reviews about missing events etc. but do far, everything has been perfect. Also, I’ve read that I should be expecting lots of ads after about one week of usage and this hasn’t happened and I hope it doesn’t. There isn’t an option to buy this as well. If I do get ads, I’ll be deleting it immediately though. Functionality of the app is very good and it would be great if I could synchronise the calendar with my Mac but, as yet, this isn’t possible. The developers have told me that there is a web-based version which I’m now using. A few minor things would be good IMO such as having borders for days in the month view and being able to view the weekly schedule in one screen page without having to scroll. The only thing that’s really been bothering me is how laggy it can sometimes be (maybe it’s just my phone) but other than that it’s been good. I do have some suggestions though and someone has already mentioned them. (1) An option to add the event to multiple calendars instead of one at a time when creating them (since I have several calendars I’m sharing with different people). (2) Having a possible “focus” tab that includes events for the week/day just as a quick view. (3) An option to save the locations you’ve previously entered so you don’t have to enter them over and over and over again. I’ve encouraged my friends to use this app as well as my family. The multiple calendars i’ve opened for work/friends etc combined in the “all” calendar makes things so much easier too. My only suggestion would be a way to share your own plans amongst multiple calendars, ie i’m having to manually enter my shifts into 2 calendars rather than doing 1 and copy pasting it into another. My husband and I have busy schedules and have always used a shared calendar app to make sure we didn't double book things and to keep track of each other's schedules. The old app we were using became less and less user friendly and eventually got to the point where it wouldn't sync the other's calendars and became more and more cumbersome to add events, and with each new update it required more and more steps to add an event to the calendar. Not so with time tree- adds events easily and conveniently, and updates to the other's calendar instantly and sends a message alerting the other that an event was added. We are able to color coordinate our calendars according to whose schedule and types of events! The latest update of adding a search function made an already great app absolutely awesome! ✓ The only calendar app I’ll use foreverThis app is honestly the BEST calendar app, whether you’re making a personal calendar or sharing with friends, classmates, partners, parents. I originally downloaded it in 2021 so me and my best friend could see each other’s calendars and encourage each other. And honestly, it has made such a big difference in our lives. You can make separate calendars for work, uni/school, have different colours, chat and add photos in each thing you enter. You can also have memos and notes that are separate to the calendar, but that you can see everyday. It’s unbelievably helpful. I work night shift and when I put it in the app it looks like It’s a two day event 7p-7a. Also, my husband is a pilot, so when he goes into different time zones, the schedule automatically goes into that time zone and it makes the whole thing really confusing. I would love for the app to have an option to stay in your home time zone. Lastly, I would love for events to be easier to input when the same event happens on more than one day. Every time someone creates and event, deletes one, edits one. And it gets really annoying. And the notifications are all or nothing. You either get a whole bunch or none, no in between. I have two suggestions that would make it better: 1) In the monthly view, the ability to scroll continuously downwards to be able to see half of one month and half of the next month all on one screen. Life isn’t segmented into calendar months, it’s a continuation of week after week, so I find it frustrating on the last week of the month you have no way of viewing the current week alongside next week on one screen. 2) It feels unnecessarily long winded to have to selected the “edit” button in order to edit an event. ✓ Super Helpful when dealing with illnessWe found TimeTree when looking for a common calendar that any of us could access and edit. We were battling cancer and several of us were working together to ensure my dad got to his chemo and other appointments. The ability to give each person a color meant that we could see what appointments were our responsibility while also knowing about all other appointments as well. The ability to edit with notes meant that we could detail what went on if needed or to remind ourselves to ask for certain things while at an appointment. My dad beat cancer and is now in remission. He still has after care appointments just to monitor things and he warned if he goes out of remission. The app is even more useful now because appointments are much farther apart and remembering details after so much time passes is often difficult. I just look at my notes in TimeTree! I locum so I’m working in different places and at different times all the time and entering this in diaries or even a calendar app can be time consuming. I have created a “Family Calendar” that includes myself, my husband, my ex-husband, and the three children that I share with my ex. My husband and I also have 2 toddlers and my ex has a newborn so we have 6 kids total between the 2 households. Being able to all collaborate on the same calendar and leave notes regarding which parent is getting which kid to a doctor appointment while a different parent picks up the other 2 from school has been really helpful. After getting the hang of how the app worked and seeing how easy it was for us to plan for those few months, I started using it for myself. I have 5 calendars: personal (for just me); relationship (for me and my boyfriend); family (for me, my parents, and my siblings); college (as I’m a full-time student); and work (for my part-time retail job). I find that colour-coding in all of these calendars (e.g. green for 4-hour-shifts, pink for holidays, etc) makes navigation easier, and all of the setting options (that allow you to put events on repeat, add locations, add links, etc) are super useful and time-effective. All of my calendars then merge together under “My Schedule” which sums up my life on a day to day basis. Receiving alerts for everything is a lot easier than just having to remember it, and it means everything is recorded on one account if you ever need to look back. ✓ Such a great app!It really does work great as a joint calendar with you friends but also for yourself. You can have multiple calendars for different things. For example, I have one dedicated for me and my friends, one for school work eg revision and homework due dates, and one for personal events! There’s many different colours, and can have a colour signed to each person so no one gets confused e.g me in pink , friend 1 in blue, friend 2 in light purple etc! ✓ Fantastic but with a single issueI love this app. I have two calendars on it, a personal calendar and a group calendar for my group of friends. It has almost every feature imaginable. It is clear to use and helps me stay on top of my schedule. However, I would like there to be a greater number of “labels” particularly for my group calendar. There is more than 10 members and we would like to each have a colour, and the 10 label limit prevents this. I would forget to write stuff down or I would write it down and then forget to look what had going on. ✓ Best group calendar ever!Me and my partner use this app to put any upcoming dates and it’s honestly the best calendar I’ve used. Extremely convenient and easy to use. You can have multiple calendars if you want and you can add lots of information/photos etc to each event if you want. I deleted the iOS calendar as I don’t use it anymore. The only bad thing about it is it has some subtle but slightly annoying ads at the bottom. It provides the basic functionality for sharing diaries, but it is hard to customise entries and notifications so that the right info is shared and the rest kept private, but is linked. There are too many interruptions from updates that do not directly concern me, but we want to share info on. The stories used to illustrate use of the app are rather superficial. The ads are rather intrusive in the free version. Key improvements I would like to see: An easy way for a diary creator to share info but not alerts would be valuable. Often I want others, eg my wife, to be aware of my activities but not to get alerts. I believe this could fairly easy to implement A more sophisticated approach could allow easier sharing of key info like event times but keep private notes and different times - eg to allow for travel time. ✓ Pointless FeatureI have synced my OS (iPhone) calendar with Timetree which allows events (inputted from either timetree shared calendar or iphone calendar app) to show in MY Timetree app. HOWEVER, these events does NOT show on the shared calendar for the rest of my family. I have tried to look for the settings for this for days and can’t find any. So basically the “sync with os calendar app” is pointless with Timetree shared calendar as it doesn’t show to other members of that shared Timetree calendar. This has caused grief as my others have missed my events thinking i’ve put it down on Timetree (shows on mine after inputting on iphone calendar) but doesnt show on theirs. If this feature gets fixed then i will change to 5 stars from 1 UPDATE: Recently found “import events” option which addresses this (Help guide on “using with other calendars” explains this nicely). However, it would still be nice to get full synchronisation between all calendars - where deleting or adding on either calendar, updates the respective other. 4.5 stars. I liked being able to just spam the calendar button to go back to present day, not for it to go to... the same calendar on a different window. ✓ Life changingTitle may sound a bit dramatic but I’ve always been terribly disorganised, always double-booking and notoriously difficult to make plans with.
