✓ Great AppThis really is a great app for walkers. I just looking for an app with which to record my tracks. I tried several others but they all over complicated it, and in fact never provided what I was looking for. This app latches onto the GPS position very well even in areas with patchy coverage (woodland). It provides useful stats, makes planning routes on the fly v easy, and I can save my tracks in formats I can export to my GIS software. There are a lot of good looking features I haven't tried yet. ✓ Powerful navigation tool. Best bang for buck.I'm quite impressed with what you get for the price. It turns your iPhone into a powerful navigation tool for a few dollars. Can be a great learning tool as well and will get you excited about your hikes with all its tracking and info features. As for improvements: I wish documentation was more detailed and easier to find (like a visible help button to get you started). Downloading offline maps also felt a bit buggy - when selecting the layers of tiles to save locally the program gives you certain download size but once I downloaded them the size was 3 times smaller on flash which left me with questions on whether it's reliable. Repeating the process didn't make any difference. Haven't tried the online features so can't comment on them. Overall amazing tool that can be very powerful if you know how to use it. ✓ Soooo greatI am a contractor and planning sites out in the bush is super easy now I don't need cell service for it to work great I can take pictures as I go and they are tagged geographically. This app is really good for planning work. ✓ Great but save regularly!It's a fab bit of software but it does have the unfortunate habit of crashing and losing your route if you leave it recording for too long. A day or two is ok but more than that and your risk increases that the next time you load it it'll hang and lose your route. Also make use of the free account where you can upload your routes to their website. I'm hoping it won't be a problem anymore but with the old version of this app also had an issue where it could hang and then never successfully run again! Any routes that hadn't been uploaded could only be retrieved with an app like iMazing. In spite of all this I still give it 4 stars though because most of the time it's brilliant, best gps app I've tried and I've tried a lot! ✓ May be using it wrong.As I sat down to review this app, I realize that I may be using it wrong. I am walking/mapping and find that the app/iPhone/I seem to be on different plans. The area is steep and has dense brush cover. As a result I get a track full of plots and it seems if I change my mind, I get a plot. I will explore to see if there is a way to reduce the number of plots per minute. I am writing this to see if the planning feature will help since drawing lines in the measurement mode is difficult since the slightest touch drops a point. Great add-on for the whole GPS thing. I use it in conjunction with Spyglass Commander/Pro, and the results are fantastic (at least my own particular config which is iPhone 6, 16Gb, iOS 8.4.1). The folliwing cost you a star; Ya gotta fix the 'cut-n'-paste' selector; it keeps switching beteeen 'text selector' and the 'magnifying glass' function gorcing me to re-type a lot! And the 'auto advance/scroll' when typing dosen't sutomatically scroll up causing me to finger EACH carrige return/line advance. small, but, BIG in Annoyance!!!
