✗ Severely crippledWhile it seemed like a great alternative to TN3270, this Lite version is intentionally and severely crippled, seemingly in an attempt to force you to spend $29.99 on their full version. Specifically, F7 and F8 are disabled, making it impossible to page through multiple screens. Waste of time. I won’t be shelling out for the full version — I’ll just stick to the much more capable, and free, TN3270 client..ZiggybeanzVersion: 2.2

✗ Needs workOK the Lite version is supposed to be limited, and it appears that the limitation is that all the high Fn keys are disabled (you can do F1, F2, F3 only) But since the goal was to show enough in the lite version to help you to decide if you should pay money for the full version - my feeling is it’s a good start (as the only 3270 Emulator in the App Store) but it’s not enough. Only supporting model 2 and 3 was understandable the iPad version but is criminal as a Mac app - come on please add support for models 4,5 and Dynamic modes (up to 160x60). It’s good that keyboard support includes an ATTN key (was missing iPad version) and that you can change the mapping of keys (somewhat) but you can only map some keys - mostly the function keys… as a power user I’d like to be able to map any key to commands, macros, key strings (or maybe TextExpander support). The show stopper for me though is not being able to map all the regular ‘keys’ and special characters - I can’t find any way to send the not (¬) or the dashed bar (¦) keys which I need all the time creating panels and Rexx, other than by right clicking an picking from a hugh list of ’special characters’. It might be that UK keyboard mapping is off, but it could be resolved with a more full function keyboard re-mapper. I had high hopes, but still the winner in this category is the free Brown TN3270 emulator..IEoinVersion: 2.0
