Pill Alert Pro for Negative User Reviews

Emailed support after losing data. After I upgraded to iOS 15, I lost ALL data. I emailed support last week with no answer. I even accidentally paid a SECOND time thinking this would sync up with my Apple ID and repopulate my data. No luck. Please action this!!!.Version: 4.0

Keeps repeating in overdue when you can see the entry completed in logAfter 4-5 days using it, suddenly see every past entry in “overdue”....Version: 2.5.3

MeIt's not easy to set up; but I am stubborn too. Finally: create Medication list>tap Schedule>tap Add dosage & time and tap name of medication you want to change and their features as well. So I have 4 Medications with different times to remind..Version: 2.5.3

Syncing fails are dangerousI liked this app, I want it to work so much, but I'm afraid the sync issues caused me no end of grief. I use an iPad and an iPhone, depending on which one is nearest when I take my meds. Unfortunately, the sync doesn't always function correctly, meaning that if I didn't have the backup reminder of pills sorted accurately by dose and pill sorter box, I could easily take extra doses - it continually tells me I haven't taken drugs that I have. The logs don’t record accurately, the drugs don’t sync between devices. It’s an utter shambles. It’s fairly simple enough to work out, once all your data is in, and it was useful for a backup reminder for a few weeks, but I can't rely on its accuracy, I definitely can't justify £2.99 for the ad free version it keeps prompting me to buy, and I’ve given up on it and am using something else..Version: 2.1.1

Awful!!!This deleted all my data that took forever to put in in the first place!!! Terrible!.Version: 2.2

Too BuggyMedical apps should not be buggy and this one is buggy. It continuously stuffs up its schedule and has miscounted the amount of remaining medication significantly. It's also not optimised for larger screens and doesn't have sufficient reminding capabilities..Version: 2.2

Cannot trust this app not to wipe all your dataToday the app randomly froze and no amount of force quitting/relaunching fixed the issue. Saw that there was an update on the App Store and updated—and now I have a completely blank app. No list of medications, no notes on those medications, no schedules, no logs. No backups will load. It’s all gone. I’d been using it daily since 2019. The app had been freezing with increased frequency, especially since they increased the frequency and complexity of ads. I feel like I should have known not to trust an app with typos in its content. Do not recommend. Do not use if you need to rely on the data and logs..Version: 4.2

Can't sync properly and the alarm is temperementalDoes not sync properly between iPhone and iPad and alarm picks and chooses when it plays.Version: 2.1.1

Great potential but currently dire!I tried running this on my iPhone and iPad. All the elements are there so it should be great. However, iCloud auto sync certainly didn't work on my devices. The interface is clunky and far from intuitive and the general speed of the app is agonisingly slow. If the developers can sort out all the problems then it could be great, but at the moment I'd avoid it..Version: 1.1

Terrible appWhen I did a update of operating system, they’re old app locked me out, and gave me no way to retrieve my data. I don’t trust this company to manage my meds.Version: 3.0

Horribly brokenSeemed like a nice app at first, but you soon realise you cant trust it to do anything right. icloud syncing mangles your data. Likewise if you decide to turn off ios alerts, the app deletes all your history for that pill. Its just junk, and devs clearly havent bothered testing it.Version: 2.1.1

Critical bugHi ! This app is great but there is a bug that can be very critical for users. When you define a 6 time per day schedule, the application will only notify 4 times: expected: 1h, 5h, 9h, 13h, 17h, 21h; observed: 9h, 13h, 17, 21h. Reminder at 1 AM and 5 AM are not set. Could be deadly depending of the medicine. Do you plan a quick fix for that?.Version: 2.3

Can't get in and out quicklyThe app gets being a medication reminder/log mostly right. Set up a list of meds, set up schedules for your meds, and Pill Alert will remind you when it's time to take them. I'm disappointed, though, that I can't just get in and out of the app quickly: - Taking a scheduled med requires two taps if I'm taking it on time. The app should presume that I've taken it just now and only require more than one tap if I need to change the time. - Taking a medication "as needed" requires (most of the time) four taps, since those medications are in a separate list. Also, taking a med "every nn hours" doesn't reschedule later reminders based on the time you took the medication (taking a drug scheduled for 7am at 7:15 should reschedule the next dose for 11:15 if taken every 4 hours), so the app isn't as accurate as it might be. Otherwise, it's a nice looking app that also--with an in-app purchase--will track medications for multiple family members. The ability to send medication lists and history by email is a nice touch, too..Version: 2.1.1

What's happened?I loved this app, but now when I go to open it I get a green screen. I just hope it's sorted ASAP and it hasn't lost all my info..Version: 2.0

Not for multiple RxGood idea, yes, but needs SO MUCH IMPROVEMENT! The first time I used it, I sent almost a full typed page if notes about fixes and problems that were overlooked. Now I am using it (barely) to track a single prescription, completely ignoring dose and quantity because the others are also every 8 hours (not 3x daily because that isn't an option). It's like walking into a new house and only finding a closet and a peep hole. Disappointing, and not super helpful for day-to-day living, but better than nothing..Version: 2.5.3

Freezing & CrashingThe app seems like a good concept but it freezes and/or crashes every time I use it with pretty much anything I do on it. If it didn't freeze and crash so much I would be able to explore it a bit more and give it a rating based on performance of purpose..Version: 2.3

Hopeless! After a few years of ok performance the app has simply deleted all my data. Even when it’s labouriously put back in its all gone a few hours later. What a waste of time and really quite dangerous! Sort it out!.Version: 2.5.3

Could be better, useless to me as isThis app has three glaring shortcomings that make it useless to me. There is no provision made for tracking supplements, only medications. There is no place to enter HOW the medication should be taken (with or without food, etc). The "schedule" only allows one to stipulate how many times a day the med should be taken instead of being able to be more specific as to what time you want to take it, such as "after breakfast", "before bed", etc). I wanted something that would remind me of exactly what to take, how to take it and when. I take over 30 supplements per day and remembering everything isn't easy. This app didn't help..Version: 1.0

NotificationsA good App but the notifications need to be improved that is important if you have to take medications at predefined times..Version: 2.5.2

Great App - bad support! The app is designed well. It, on the surface, does what it says on the tin. However, the support team do not respond to numerous pleas for assistance regarding an annoying ‘feature’ whereby the number of pills to take at a time seems to correspond with the number left to take. This effectively means that the reminders to ‘refill’ are totally inaccurate, as are the ones to take - which, if taken as shown in the App, would mean the patient is DEAD! If one ignores this potentially FATAL fault, and realised that fact at all times, the App is very cleverly laid out and designed. I paid for it and, ignoring the coding fault outlined above, it is very good at what it does correctly. Pity about the total lack of response from the support screen..Version: 2.5.3

Seems good so farJust out of hospital and need to track my meds. So far it seems ok. A few other reviews point at sync issues, but I won't be syncing this between devices, so hope that'll be ok..Version: 2.1.1

Needs improvementI’ve been keeping up with my meds a couple of weeks. Suddenly I get a ton of notifications that all the meds I’ve taken in the past 2 weeks are showing up due. And one says needs refill. Not consistently accurate or reliable..Version: 2.5.3

PointlessCan't see the point in this app. I downloaded it thinking it would remind you when to take medication. It doesn't. Will be deleting. Can't give zero stars otherwise I would..Version: 2.2

Missing AlertThe whole point of the APP with the word alert in it is to provide an alert. However this APP does not use push notifications so the only way to know that you missed your pills is too keep opening and closing the APP to see what you missed and then get an alert badge. The description that you will be reminded to take your meds on time is misleading. As an alert APP, it totally falls down. I expected better for a reminder APP..Version: 2.1.1

Pill alertThis is the very worst pill reminder I have ever used I paid money for it and it does not work I have a free one which is Round and it is so much better than this.Version: 2.5.3

AnnoyingIt’s annoying when I click Taken a message keeps coming up No enough meds please refill then come back I’ve had to put that I have 10,000,000 of each to stop the annoying box if it does it again it’s time to look for another.Version: 2.5.3

Too many adsThe ads are overwhelming, though they have toned them down since the last update (or maybe my adblocker is working?). I should not have to sit through an ad every single time I log a medicine. It’s also not the most intuitive app, and it’s not as feature rich as medisafe. It gets the job done, but with all the ads, I might as well just manually record my medications..Version: 3.0

Does the jobWould be nice to have a picture and info about my meds automatically come up, such as known side effects..Version: 3.0

Not for meI am frustrated after evaluating several medication/pill reminders. I do not need the following features: refill reminder record keeping and email transmission best price finder I want: One alarm for multiple medications; I take one set of meds first thing and the alarm for the evening meds is my reminder to go to bed. Occasionally I need to set more complicated schedules, such as 4 per day, then 3 per day, then 2 per day but those are special schedules I want this for me, not for someone else to administer medications to me. The dosage should not be needed for something such as a pill. A pill is a unit. The size of the unit is part of the description, not part of the reminder. It would be useful to print out a list of current meds with complete generic name, dosage, etc. and prescribing frequency but possible side effects should not be part of such a list; the doctor should know them. Side effects in such a print out should only be those I have noted. In that case allowance to list allergies would be useful.Version: 2.3

Good Idea, Needs some TuningI've used App for several years, but the latest update worked OK on my iPad with some annoying blips, but the take all function would be more useful to me if is all items at one time could be set at present time or scheduled time and not only when scheduled time had past. Biggest reason for low rating is that problems randomly occur on my iPod and only my stubbornness to resolve the problems has allowed me to continue using the App. As an example, the App will go to calendar setting after being launched and then App freezes and only after several restarts the App will again act as expected. The developers seem to have ignored or given up on iPod version and keep iPad running fairly soothly..Version: 2.5.3

Not installing on watchI downloaded this app put all my meds into the app went to my watch but I can’t find it as it does not download to the iwatch.Version: 2.5.3

You snooze, you get Sherlocked! This app had promise, but the devil is in the details (𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘹!). I purchased Pill Alert Pro because, as a cancer patient with diabetes, medication tracking is an important issue. A life or death issue. I liked the fact that Pill Alert offered an Apple Watch app for extra convenience and safety. Unfortunately the developer failed the basic competency of keeping watch’s data in sync with the phone and vice versa. After attempting to contact the developer about this issue I got no response. Funny thing, how my subscription money found its way to the developer but my request for support landed in a black hole? After upgrading to iOS 16 and two days with the Medications function of the Health app, I’m done with this so-called product. Medications does 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 Pill Alert promised and more — for no more than the price I’ve already paid for the device. You sir, have been 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 and you have no one to blame but yourself!.Version: 4.1

Don't botherInputting data is annoying. Deleted the app immediately..Version: 2.4

Schedule tab no longer worksIt crashes every time I try to use it..Version: 5.0

Liked the olderI liked the older version but now there are too many ads and the notification is messed up. It doesn’t remain on my Home Screen long enough..Version: 4.0

Just Doesn't WorkSadly, yesterday I wrote a positive revue of this app and bam, like that, changed my mind. My iPhone and iPad are linked and every time I make a move on one of them, it updates to the next device and it works very easily, never a problem ... Until today Went into my settings to find my needs list etc empty. Went to iPad also empty. What's the point if it doesn't even syncing with itself no matter anything else.Version: 2.3

Confusing.Needs thorough instructions..Version: 2.5.3

Lost all my infoAfter using this app for over a year, today I log in and the screen is completely blank. No history. No schedule. No Meds. If I have to now re-enter everything from scratch, I think I'll try to find something that is more reliable..Version: 2.5.3

Doesn't work anymore!Used it for a couple of months before it slowed down. Deleted and reinstalled and it doesn't work at all now..Version: 2.5.3

All data lost when i installed ios 14What can i say poof it was all gone. 2 years worth of data. my data was on icloud and it would have been easy for the company to have the pro version retrieve the data from the old version.Version: 3.0

Was ok, now doesn't give alertsWas pleased with this app, paid for the upgrade. Then it stopped giving alerts even though they are all set up..Version: 2.3

Potentially a great app but.....This app has the potential to be a really top app but the iCloud sync bug needs sorting now. I needed an app that would help with my inability to remember to take my meds. I selected this app over the others available due to it's simple and clear layout, it's ease of responding to a reminder and that I could use any of my connected devices to do this. When the kids have drained the battery on one device being able to pick up where I left off on another is an invaluable facility. Contact with the developer was responded to very promptly but no successful resolution could be supplied. At the moment I am unable to use the app on any device so am having to look for another app to fill the gap. Please, please, please get this sorted ASAP..Version: 1.1

Good but new bug and could be betterI have used this app for a long time. It keeps good records and allows you to email your dr or yourself your record. I wish you had a place to record your INR where it was visible on the log sheet without opening each day. I record under notes at this point. In the last couple of months I can not enter my dose until after my alarm time because it closes as soon as it opens so I have been happier with the Coagu app now. I can see dose and INR on the calendar with total dose for the week..Version: 2.5.2

Twice it lost several months of data.I’ve been using this app religiously since March 2020. In about June of 2020 all of my data was lost. I am, unfortunately, on a lot of medication. Keeping a record is important to monitor some that are taken as needed. I used the app on schedule, last night. When I went in to enter this morning’s medication I notice all of my data has been lost back to Nov 2020. My back-up, I admit to not initially using Apple iCloud nor DropBox for manual backup. Unfortunately, my DropBox n]backup failed. It is my experience that, although it is actually just what I wanted, I cannot trust it with this unrecoverable data loss. I will try another app now. Clearly, be certain to regularly check your backups. I’m really bummed about this. I intended to show my doctor my hard earned progress. Good luck..Version: 3.0

Probably meI couldn't add more than one prescription. No help available.Version: 2.5.3
