✓ 🐘 Sorry, but 'Vengeance is Mine' sayeth the Lord... 🐘...and not yours, ELEPHANT. With so many outstanding games available... I would pass on this one. There's no variety in the scant 14 HOPs, the EXTRAS section is virtually non-existent, some of the mini-games/solutions are difficult to either realize or implement. I used a sweeper/brush in a part of the game only to find that I needed it again to obtain some red paint. But I no longer had the sweeper in my inventory. But it kind of ends there for me. The detective angle was somewhat interesting but got tedious after awhile. It just seemed too drug out. I too had fits with the touchy map but got the hang of it: when you tap a spot to jump to, tap again at the question mark, not at the location picture that pops up. It may not get you where you want to go every time, but it'll keep you out of that stupid foyer. HOS were humdrum with repetitious lists. For some odd reason, I felt more a spectator in this game as opposed to a participant. With the trials getting shorter, it really is a gamble to fork over the dough only to find something is going to disappear from inventory or you'll encounter some other game ending glitch. Puzzle explanations weren't always thorough enough for me. That, coupled with my previous mentions are the reasons for deducting two stars. Shouts to all my fave reviewers and peeps. ✓ Grim realizationGreat game, but I made one fatal mistake that precludes me from reaching the end. In chapter 3, scene 1, I neglected to take the piece of glass. I was able to get three or four more scenes along before getting stuck. Tracing my way back using the strategy guide, I realized my error, but to my consternation also discovered the window to recover the piece of glass was no longer accessible. End of the line for me :( I'm pretty sure HOG game coders try to prevent this kind of snafu, but this one appears to have escaped their notice. Otherwise, fun game, HOGS, and minigames.
