✓ Excellent app but...It is an excellent app and I'm enjoying learning with it. I deducted a star because there are a couple of niggles. The system it uses will introduce a few new words and then go on to put them into sentences in the next step but very often it will use an alternative word to the one it taught you a moment ago. Then if you don't use the exact word it has selected for the answer it feeds back as 'wrong'. Also slight alterations to the set wording will be 'wrong', even in your own language. As the syntax is extremely flexible in English this has become an annoyance as it feels like a memory game sometimes as it wants the exact wording it used rather than a correct translation, even if it was an indirect translation to begin with. Overall a great app with a few shortcomings. The voice recognition seems very good..Version: 6.9.17

I also love the fact that the way it teaches is cumulative; it will teach new and old content. The only thing I do not like is how advanced it can get for a novice. ✓ Wonderful!This is such a fun way to learn. It's in way that feels natural and therefore you can apply it quicker to "real life". The conversation recorder is cool because you can play it back and make adjustments as needed. Selecting words from the word bank to complete the phrase you hear being played to you has helped me listen in to details that I may not have heard before. The option to play the phrases slowly has helped as well. I ended up purchasing the premium version because I loved the free so much. And I do not purchase apps....ever. Have fun!.Version: 3.0.5

✓ Pretty good, but free version is very limitedOverall this app works pretty well for learning the basics of a language, but it doesn’t let you spend a lot of time each day unless you pay to upgrade. In other words, if you don’t want to pay, it will take you a long time to learn a language in any serious way. The other leading app that I’m sure you know of will essentially let you study all day every day for free. The second minor issue I have is that the animations slow down how quickly you can answer questions. If you’re really fast, you’ll be quicker than it can handle because it’s busy trying to make the interface look slick. The problem is that if you are faster than it, it won’t register all of the words you tapped, and you’ll have to waste time moving them around in the sentence until it’s right. Lastly, the chat bot is a really great idea, but it doesn’t work very well in practice, I’m guessing because a non-native speaker of any language is never going to pronounce words and phrases as accurately as a native speaker. It’s actually not bad considering that, but you’ll never have any type of meaningful learning with it unless you are really accurate with 100% of your word pronunciation. Overall this is a great, fun app to introduce you to a new language, but there are better options if you’re looking to seriously learn..Version: 7.1.13

✓ Good but a few small flawsI love this app. I was new to Norwegian and now I'm coming along well. This app is good for learning the basics (if you purchase all the courses.) However, some of my courses such as Romance and Travel are stuck, I complete the lesson before the next with enough "lives" but it won't let me continue.
