✓ Horrible Update0 stars There was nothing wrong with this app and then someone had to justify their paycheck so they came up with a crappy update. Did any of you people involved in this disaster ask anyone to test it and get their opinion before you forced this update on us? Because trust me, they would have told you how bad it is. Have you heard the phrase ‘ If it ain’t broke don’t fix it’? And why do you need someone’s personal information to just check their ticket? This is a gross invasion of privacy. If I ever decide to buy lottery tickets again I’ll check them on a machine or have a store employee check it so I don’t have the state of Washington spying on me. Fix this horrible app or you’re going to lose customers..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Horrible “upgrade”The app used to work fine but then they upgraded it and now requires a login with all kinds of sensitive personal information. Simply it’s information I won’t share on an app. As part of the state government, I didn’t see any information on how the state is maintaining the confidentiality of this information and what are the permitted uses of this information. Can this information be obtain from a freedom of information request? I don’t need this information in the public domain. Please return the app to previous version..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Couldn’t be simple....I was looking for a simple scanner to scan my lotto tickets. This app requires an account be created before I can simply scan my ticket. They state in the app that the personal information they require is for age verification. This is not necessary nor is it required by law. It shouldn’t be this difficult to scan a ticket in my opinion. Let the lady behind the counter check my ID when I collect my winnings, I don’t need an app to “pretend” it knows that I’m an adult because I have given it someone’s personal info..Version: 2.0.1
✓ This app has become junk zero stars data miningNow you have to open an account with Washington Loto just to try to scan your ticket. But the real question is will it scan , oh heck no. #1 is why do you have to even have an account and # why doesn't the junk work like the last app did. They make you give name, address, phone# dob just to scan your ticket. Guess it time to stop playing as it's become this stupid. ✓ Useful app made uselessI don’t play very often but every once in a while I figure I can afford to throw a couple of bucks at it when there’s a large jackpot. This app used to be a convenient way to quickly check your ticket. I guess there’s been some changes to the app since last I used it so that you now have to create and account just to check your ticket. Makes absolutely no sense. I don’t have to ID myself when I walk into a store and ask them to check the ticket. Basically they took all of the convenience out of the app in favor of personal data collection. ✓ BEWARE TOTAL SCAM!!!Wow! You are now forcing users to create an account and make it a requirement to give an email, home address, phone number, dob, gender!? Are you going to run a credit check? What’s even more insane is you force users to log in every time to scan a ticket and don’t even give the results. I’m guessing you probably added some sniffing software as well on the app to get some money of data collections. DONT GET THIS APP!.Version: 2.0.2
✓ Major changes gone horribly wrongThis used to be a 5-star app, giving you quick results, well-written intros, and an easy ticket scanner. Since the major update in November 2019, the scanner only works some of the time (error messages), the app doesn’t update the results for a few hours after the drawing, and you are now required to register to get any of the benefits from this app. I’m out. I’ll go back to the old method of just checking the website, if I bother playing at all. Whoever came up with this idea needs to be demoted..Version: 2.0.1
✓ .6 stars? Time for a new upgrade.This app is .6 stars and that’s being awfully generous. I know it says 1.6 but the one is obviously a given so not counting. You guys fvcked up bad on this one. Can’t even get an e-gift card anymore. I have $4000 worth of loser tickets and can’t even get what I want from the store. Your app developers should find new careers. Just read the reviews.. if any business had reviews as terrible as yours you better believe a top down reorganization would ensue immediately if they wished to bail out their sinking ship. ✓ Seriously?I was liking this app for the most part until I learned that points are forfeited after a year. That’s not cool. The one and only thing that I like about this app now is the scanner. However, I can do that in any store that sells scratchers; so really the app is not of much use to me. ✓ Great…when it works….This app is exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately it’s very intermittent in actually working and more often in the not category. I wanted it to scan my tickets but it usually circles around without actually giving you a result for your ticket or freezes up. ✓ Created account, scanned ticket => “see lottery”. UselessLike a sucker I signed up to save myself the trouble of typing my numbers to the website (which is a minor PITA because the web form does not give any hints to my phone browser, so keeps resetting to letters every time I enter a number). Anyway I finally get the confirmation email, login, scan. And the result is “See lottery”. Which guess means they couldn’t look up the ticket?.Version: 3.7.0
✓ Absolutely RidiculousLike all the other reviews said, they screwed the pooch on their apps so they can track and sell your information. This is disgusting that if I want to just check my ticket I have to provide ALL OF MY INFORMATION. I’m almost shocked that they didn’t ask for a social security number. Not only is their app stealing your information but even after I filled out and created an account it says that it’s locked and I need to contact a customer support person. Really glad that these vultures are allowed to operate a gambling app that is now going to further target you. ✓ Changes destroyed this appI used to use this for ticket scanning. Now, with the updates, you must create a profile that includes name, phone, email, age, gender and other invasive information JUST TO SCAN A TICKET. I complained to Washington lottery, and they told me the changes were necessary to 1) make sure no one under 18 was playing, and 2) to participate in the awards program soon to roll out. For the first point, I don’t understand how this is necessary and for the second point, who cares if like 90% of users only want the app to scan tickets. Terrible, terrible update. ✓ Forget Trying to Get Gift Cards as a RewardThis app needs a major revision. The user experience isn’t great. While it does update winning numbers in a timely fashion, you sometimes have to close the app and reopen it. Not ideal. If you enter tickets for points, the app randomly logs you out after a period of no use so it may throw an error forcing you to log back in. Got enough points for a reward? Good luck trying to get a gift card. For a while, gift cards were easy to get. Now you have to fumble through a series of windows to reach egiftcards. This is where it gets worse. The app/store essentially freeze when you try to get a gift card. If you think going on the desktop is any better. You are seemingly logged out after you log in when trying to get a gift card..Version: 3.6.0
✓ What junk!The old app worked great. This new app requires you to create an account asking for tons of personal information before you can scan a ticket. If you do create an account, the scanner still doesn’t work. All I get is “Please see lottery.“ What the heck does that mean? What a lame error message. Can’t admit that something isn’t working. ✓ Terrible updated appThey eliminated the really good app they had and gave us a poorly designed app. If I win anything, the message just states “results are not available “ . It can take several hours to tell me $ I have won. It no longer highlights the numbers I have correctly chosen. I select my own numbers and like to see what #s won directly in my ticket. ✓ Fix the update!This was a good app before the update now it is absolutely terrible since the update. You are now required to create an account to check tickets not sure what the logic behind that is. I think they ask for more info than needed to create account but even when I tried to create an account I keep getting an error “Unexpected server error please contact player services”. ✓ Horrible! Don’t waste your time.I would give this app ZERO STARS if I could. The latest update is a huge downgrade from the prior version. It no longer shows the drawn numbers when you scan your ticket. Just indicates that your ticket is not a winner. Forces you to enter your personal information and create a login. ✓ Fairly UsefulTicket scanner works, even on multi/draw tickets (but numbers are not readily saved for future reference). Jackpot and winning numbers are updated a couple hours after most drawings. Push notifications work when "The new winning numbers are up!" (uh, except its Thursday, and I deselected notifications for all games except Hit5 and Powerball so I guess it's all or nothing with the notifications).Version: 1.0.14
✓ Decent before the most current updateBefore the most current update you did not have to be signed in to check your ticket. Plus the older version of the app showed you your ticket numbers even if it wasn’t a winner. The updated version of the app you have to have an account and be signed in to scan your ticket. Once your ticket is scanned the updated version just says “Sorry, your not a winner”, it doesn’t show you your numbers on your ticket like the previous version. I like comparing my physical ticket numbers to what the app shows to make sure there’s not a mistake. Disappointed that that feature was changed. ✓ Bad app - crazy complex unnecessary requirementsWhat’s wrong with it? Having to sign in and give oersonal info in order to scan your numbers. I expect to fill out forms for a drivers license, but to play a lottery game, really? Suggest WA Lottery replace whoever approved this app change - transfer them to DMV and then roll back to the prior version. It was a fun game of chance. Some Big Brother control freak(s) took the fun out of the game with unnecessary requirements. It’s like paying someone to make your life more complex. ✓ No scanning ticket w/o account?!?!?!Just got the latest update which makes it inoperable with out setting up an account. It was fine before that to check tickets. But why would I want to set up an account and provide so much personal data (name, birth date, address, phone#, email address) just to see if I have a winning ticket or not? ✓ Bogus appThis app is so bogus. Please tell me WHY!! it takes so long to upload and update the current numbers. What is funny is lottery stops tickets sale 15 mins before drawing, but restarts ticket sales at 8:01pm 1 minute after drawing resuming the sale of the next drawing even tho you don’t have the current drawing numbers up ANYWHERE!!!! ✓ Thanks But NO THANKS !!!This was a wonderful app because it contained lottery info pertaining to JUST the games in my particular state. And now, SURPRISE, must create an account with loads of personal information. Gender? Birthdate? Phone?—-REALLY? If it was just email and password, I could work with that, maybe. But now let’s gather as much information as we can so it can be accessible to someone who wants it bad enough. SKIP IT! So now, I’ll just use my $3.50 a gallon gas and drive to the store to do my business. Thanks for ruining the app I had been waiting for, for a long time, finally got, and enjoyed using. ✓ “See lottery”I downloaded this app to be able to scan my tickets without having to go to the store, because we buy tickets once a week and check them at a later date. I work nights and don’t make it to the store as often - my wife usually buys the tickets and if they’re winners I give them to her to cash in. ✓ Terrible update !I have been using this app for a while and I used to be able to just click on the app icon and scan my ticket in just a few seconds ... with the recent update that the developers did this is a thing of the past - LOL. I have played any way, even though my understanding of combinations & permutations means winning unlikely. When it was simple to scan my tickets on my phone & get near instant feedback, I played the game. Now you want my bio & give me less feedback. My state is stupid to undermine the games with such undesirable features that invade my privacy & make me hate the process. ✓ Went from great to terribleWith the recent update, this app went from great to terrible. First, you now need to register but the developer doesn’t send you the confirmation link until after three days. ✓ Will no longer scan ticketsThis app was useful. I don’t play lottery games all the time, but for the last month, the app will not scan the barcode on the ticket. I read that they now require an account, so I created one an tried again. No change, it still will not scan a barcode. I checked my settings and the permissions are fine. ✓ Changing my ratingPreviously I was able to scan my tickets easily. System was accurate. But recently as of early November 2019 on an update, it now wants me to have an account login to scan. The amount of information wanted to get a login is ridiculous. I don’t give up that much info to any app I have outside of banking. It seems they want to sell or use my info. ✓ This is the worst!!I had to give all kinds of personal information. Then wouldn’t let me sign on. Then after resetting pass word. Still couldn’t sign on. Then uninstalled and reinstalled just to find out wouldn’t work on tickets that did have “my Lottery 360” on them. Wouldn’t even let me enter by hand.
