✓ 07 Prius - ECU not foundUPDATE: Carista informed me that my 2nd Gen Prius is not fully supported due to hardware limitations. They only have basic OBDll diagnostics for that Generation. This information came directly to my inbox. That is great customer service! I know Prius’ need Techstream to do a proper diagnostic but was hoping for a Miracle and find an app for my NEXXUS tool. One day maybe 😊 I am using a new Nexxus OBDll/EOBD Diagnostic Interface Bluetooth tool. Unfortunately it is unable to connect to my 2007 Prius. When scanning ECU codes it states it can not complete connect. I have tried running the program with Prius in ON as well as Started (foot on brake). I can use Dr Prius but was hoping for a more thorough diagnostic check..Version: 6.4
✓ 2010 Mini Cooper SLove the app and love the Carista OBD2 adapter as well. It cleared 12 codes I didn’t even know I had as well as unlock features of both my R56 itself and my key fob. The dealer charges an arm and a leg to unlock these features that are already there and to program a key fob not to mention the price to diagnose and clear codes. If I do have to bring it in to the shop I’ll feel much more confident knowing what the issue is even before I arrive. This thing will probably end up saving me so much time, money, and hassle..Version: 3.6.4
✓ Great app!Great app, can’t fault it, I also have VCDS and use carista as an “on the go” tool when the laptop is not available, it currently has nowhere near the same functionality as VCDS but is a great addition to use along side it, however, I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this at a small one off cost early in its development and would probably not have paid for it with a subscription system, it is a good tool though!.Version: 3.5.1

✓ I was hoping for a little moreTo be 100% honest I was thinking that this is going to be a little more of a customizability as well as the diagnostics, and while it does both amazingly well, I just kind of felt like it fell a little short when it comes to customizing. I have a 2013 CC, And I’d say probably 75-85% of the options were available In one of the many menus on the dashboard, And now I know this isn’t the case with some cars, but I sort of felt that they’re needed to be more to justify a $40 a year price tag on-going.Version: 3.7
✓ Just had to write a reviewI got this app when I needed to reset some warning lights rather than take to a garage , then I used customisations to get rid of some annoying beeps then enabled child locks for the Kids and just have to say it’s amazing , I then changed my car and wanted the kid lock on again and it was all done within minutes. ✓ Easy to useThe app seems to work nicely for turning off the seatbelt chime which is what I purchased it for, I do wish they would make it clearer on the initial page of the app which service plan you're supposed to choose - it's supposed to give you a month free but they need to make it clearer within the design of the app which one you're supposed to choose to get the month free (which is probably the option most people want to choose so put it up at the top and say choose this one) - otherwise very good, device is easy to install, app is very navigable and easy to use, would definitely recommend.Version: 7.5

✓ Great App!I’ve been updating control modules on my vehicles for years with Ford and Mopar vehicles and always had to use the wired OBD adapter plugged in to my laptop. I’ve always been an Apple guy so in order to use the software I had to either run bootcamp or virtual windows on my MacBook. It’s been a necessary evil to accomplish the changes I wanted to make. Carista absolutely blows that away. I never knew this type of setup existed and thought it was too good to be true when I stumbled across it on a forum. Coming from how I’ve always had to do things in the past I’m extremely happy with this product. Lots of customization options and based on the current beta they have plenty more customizable options coming soon!.Version: 4.0.6
✓ Very capable and excellent vfmWanted a few “tweaks” to my new Golf 7.5 and had expensive quotes from several auto-electricians for what seemed to me to be just a few minutes work - all £65+. Tried this app and the Carista OBD dongle and for under £25 all-in (just bought the one week pass) achieved 5 out of 6 of the tweaks I wanted. The teardrop wipe isn’t available. And, it took me less the 30 minutes to do the whole lot. I signed up for the beta program which has a lot more customisation available, but only one of which I was interested in. Keep up the excellent work and I’ll be keeping my eye on an update for the teardrop wipe 😊.Version: 3.6.4

✓ Works wellWorks for me on Australian 2017 Landcruiser GXL - turned off the seatbelt warning dings and adjusted interior light and aircon settings. Doesn’t have a setting for door open dings though, and doesn’t work on Hilux.. but worth it for the other tweaks..Version: 6.5.1

✓ VW T6Transporter 2018Got this manly to disable/remember last setting of the dreaded stop/start. But this function is not yet available on my current model. Activated large digital speedo, alarm sound on lock/unlock , only unlock drivers door on first key press and some other minor functions. Can the stop/start be added for 2018 model, this was the main reason for the purchase. Only the 4 stars because of stop/start not being available..Version: 3.7.1
✓ Best value OBD on market.Tried a number of OBD devices and software and this is without doubt the best value. Even more expensive hardware although available with “free” app requires subscription whereas this doesn’t. Great with VW and Škoda. Only complaint is that only has minimal features for Smart cars and no customisation features like it does on VW cars. Shame as I would otherwise take up lifetime subscription. ✓ Almost the bestI find it very easy to use, nice and tidy app. Used it on Octavia ‘07, BMW E60 ‘07 and E90 ‘09. Scanned codes, cleared them with ease, did some customising. I probably would have sold my car without this app. New cars are AWFUL with all the computerized "features" constantly beeping and flashing at me, turning things on and off when I don't want them too, etc. This app and the genuine Carista adapter have been worth every penny, and then some. ✓ So easy!Carista is really good. It was so easy to diagnose and customise my BMW 318d. I had purchased a cable and given up setting up the laptop based software before purchasing the Carista dongle. It can’t do everything that a full cable connection can do. But, it suited my needs perfectly. I will not continue the subscription though. I did the customisations that I wanted and it helped me to diagnose why my air-conditioning was not working effectively. However, If I get a fault light or need to reset any service intervals I will definitely subscribe again. A pay monthly would be more effective for me me though..Version: 3.6.7
✓ Saved much money at the dealer.Got this app to disable the intolerable seat belt chime on my 2019 Toyota Camry. I had tried solutions I found on the internet but nothing worked. I was able to accomplish my objective plus discovered many more customizations which I can’t access through the car’s own menus. ✓ Awesome for the Prius!We own a 2020 AWD-e XLE Prius. There are some annoying features with the car: backup beeping, overly sensitive and too loud parking sonar sensors, and front parking sensor that keeps beeping when you’re going through an automatic car wash. Bought Carista and was able to easily fix all these issues. You do have to subscribe for at least a month to make the changes. But you only need to subscribe to make new changes — once made, they stick. So in theory you just need to do a one time, one month subscription. Totally worth it..Version: 5.5.1

✓ What a bit of kit!!Bought this along with the official dongle for my Audi A3 8v primarily for when I need to replace rear pads. Have tried the customisation and unlocked some higher end features like visual reverse indication on MMI, Cylinder on demand display when activated, chirp on lock/unlock, dial sweep and lap timer to name but a few. Easily done with simple select and save option. Am now part of beta testing and the guys respond super quick when communicating with them. No need to spend loads on a big old plug in unit, this is versatile simple to use and you have it to hand whenever you fancy messing about a bit. Sure the diagnostic aspect will be just as good but luckily not needed t yet. 5 stars easily... recommend without hesitation.Version: 3.7.4

I feel like there used to be monthly subscriptions that were better than the weekly ones. A week is sometimes not enough to review the changes and decide whether you want to keep them or not. ✓ Great App and AMAZING Tech supportI’ve been using Carista for a few years now, with no issues. It’s a fantastic piece of kit, especially for VW/Audi cars, to which I have changed lots of settings. I stumbled across an issue recently, my own fault I might add! Contacted tech support, who were absolutely top class. They built me a fix and sent it to me via the beta testing, and managed to roll back the mistake I made. Email support was excellent, and explained every step I needed to complete to fix my issue. I am experiencing issues with the alarm arming automatically after shutting but not locking the doors - unable to reset this to factory option / setting which is frustrating! ✓ Great app, saved me a trip to the dealerThis app has been great for me as an Audi owner. Many customizations duplicate what can be done with the MMI, but access to the instrument cluster needle sweep and window/sunroof customizations are worth the price. The real value comes from the ability to read OBD II codes and engine faults. It let me know whether the engine light indicated something serious, and saved me an expensive trip to the auto repair shop for a diagnosis. As an infrequent user, there’s no need to subscribe for a year and I don’t know why people complain about the price. I pay for one month when I need the paid features. Easy!.Version: 5.4.2

I have been using their app since it came out and it really works well. I recently emailed them asking if they can add a customization that I wanted. I wanted to be able to add the ability to add paddle shifters to my Audi A7. They created a beta version with that in it and sent it to me in less then a week to try. It worked great. ✓ History FunctionGreat little device, but lacks one fundamental function and that’s a history log. The device will only show you fault codes when connected to the device. It would be great to be able to look though the fault list when not connected. To diagnose faults, it’s always good practice to sit down with a cup of tea and a manual to see if there is a correlation with faults stored. For example, if two components show a fault for open circuit, it could suggest a common live feed or Earth is the problem, but you lose the ability to compare fault codes as soon as you disconnect. Can’t be that difficult to add a log!.Version: 3.6.4
