✓ Too much overheadPOSITIVES: I love this app as it makes donating food to those in need a breeze. It is easy to use and makes it convenient for people to donate either one time or on an ongoing basis. I absolutely adore the feature of matching donors to actual families. I have been a donor for the past couple of years. NEGATIVES: Only 62% of your donated dollars go toward actual meals. I did a comprehensive research on several charity rating websites, and that number is abysmal. Top rated hunger charities perform much better in terms of overhead management. Ideally, 85-95% of the money should reach those who actually need it. No wonder they increased the cost of a meal from $0.50 to $0.80. That’s a whopping 60% increase in expenses overnight! CONCLUSION: As of now, I’m going to pause and reflect on whether my dollars can be better spent with other charities with a similar mission..An audiologistVersion: 6.10.0

✓ AnnoyingI was first very happy getting this app and made a few donations. I also shared my donations through social media to encourage everyone to donate. However after I did this, I keep getting youtube ads, instagram ads, notifications on my phone and etc urging me to help everyday! ✓ A step backwards...I have loved this app for years. However, sometime in the past several months, a change was implemented so that I can no longer see each of my donations. The app tells me how many meals I have contributed towards, but no longer shows me each donation and which cause it was towards. Also, There is no option in the App allows me to not go for auto payments every month. ✓ App doesn’t allow me to send a giftI love the thought and concept of the app. It has a feature where it allows you to send a gift where you feed a child in someone else’s name. I tried this around 15-20 times, closing the app and opening it again, reinstalling it and even waiting a few hours and it only went through once as a gift. 3 other times it went through as a normal donation without the gift to the person I intended to send to and the rest of the times it wouldn’t work at all. ✓ Only 62% of donation goes to feeding the hungryI think the app is great BUT it could be a thousand times better. Allow the user to decide how their donation is spent. When 28% goes on marketing - I find this very distasteful. I understand their are always runnings costs of any charity but when nearly 40% of my donation goes to the running costs - it feels a bit disingenuous. Let the users decide whether their donation contributes towards marketing or not - u just need a simple button on the point of transaction and make it clear and obvious. This is exactly why I have stopped using the app - and look to using Islamic charities who generally tend to separate the running costs from the actual donation costs. If WFP made 90% go direct to the people who needed help then I that would be more reasonable and fair. ✓ What have you done since last updateGosh I am so frustrated , last few days the app seems to be different and every time I press my daily meal it’s not connecting straight away so when I’ve clicked it three times and nothing has happened except I’ve been told to wait another 30 seconds , I have no idea if I’ve got one or three or five please . what ever you’ve done get onto your techie team and correct it or I will just stop buying!!
