✓ Portuguese CaminoOn first impression, this looks like a good resource, both to prepare for, and to bring along and use while walking The Portuguese Way. On initial read, I found the author’s approach of blurring the Coastal Route - Caminho da Costa with that of the Seaside Route - the Senda Litoral, a touch confusing, as they are in fact two separate routes. The historic coastal Portuguese route, dating back to the 1700s, is the Caminho da Costa which is different from the more touristy and newer seaside route known as the The Senda Litoral. I do however appreciate the significant work that went into compiling a massive amount of information into a visually appealing format. Buen Camino! Happy Trails!.Version: 2.2.10
✓ Good but Elevation maps seem incompleteThe elevation maps have no Y-axis!? The profile is given, but there’s no way to tell the change in elevation height; no measurement is given. I have the Wise Pilgrim app for Finisterre and the change in elevation IS meters shown on the maps. Without it the map is not very useful-showing only relative height, which make it impossible to tell if something is just a dip or a mountain. I love all the details and the ease of access. It would be great if there were a way to mark and “favorite” any sites or even Albergue! Otherwise there is no way to anticipate And any work reading or planning ahead is lost over forgotten..Version: 4.1.1
✓ (RESOLVED) App won’t open on my new iPhoneDownloaded Apr 27, 2018. When I tried to open it on my iPhone X it immediately closes. I read another review saying to open it 3-4 times in a row. After that it opened and now it works. This needs to be fixed. Also no way to contact the developer except through this review. That’s why it gets 4 stars. Now that it is working, it has lots of good information I will be using on my Camino in May..Version: 2.2.10

✓ Brilliant, but……..Having used the Frances last year buying the Portuguese was a no brainier. But after releasing your latest version I can no longer see the profile and the handy little green line that lets you know where you are. We started walking a week ago when it was working fine. Now when I press the icon for the profile - it just frustratingly kicks me out of the app altogether - aarrgghhh !!.Version: 5.8.7
✓ Totally Recommend this AppI recently used this app to walk the coastal route from Porto to Santiago. It was extremely helpful and gave great tips on what to see along the way. I downloaded the map and could view where I was on the trail when offline, along with the information for each area. I think the way-markers have been improved and new ones built and found the directions were easy to follow. Totally recommended..Version: 3.0.4
✓ Fantastic AppInvaluable tool for my Camino Portuguese. I love the “breadcrumbs“. When used with my location they guided me with confidence. I also used Wise Pilgrim to walk the camino in reverse back to Porto. It worked flawlessly. Especially helpful are the links to the various accommodations. Made making a reservation a breeze. ✓ Great appI used this app extensively on my recent Camino from Porto to SDC. As it was winter some of the places weren’t open. However, all in all it was fantastic and i relied on it in places where I thought that trail was unclear. I think the distances are a little bit different from the wayside markers but no big deal. It would be useful if it would be possible to have the ability to calculate distances from current location to the next milestone. An another might be to record the route from Vila do Conde to Arcos. Great app and will purchase another one for my next Camino..Version: 3.0.3
✓ Online maps is not working!! **update!I am a few days into my Camino, and the online maps are no longer working. I've depended on this app so far. I've deleted the app, and re downloaded-- but no luck. I don't see how to contact the developer to ask if it is going to be fixed. Could really use some support!! Normally love the app! I will change my rating when it gets fixed. **maps have been down for 24 hours. I checked my Frances Route app I purchased from Wise Pilgrim, and the maps work fine. But obviously you can't see the Portuguese Route on the Frances app. I'm disheartened that there is no way to ask the developer what's going on. And that the app has been down for 24 hours. (That really matters when you are on day 5 of the trail). Update: got ahold of the developer and he is promptly fixing the issue. He found the bug, and has submitted it to Apple. Hopefully they move quickly!.Version: 2.2.9

✓ Great for Portuguese Coastal and LitoralAbsolutely loved this app for navigation on the Portuguese coastal/Litoral Camino. Was spot on for navigating 99%. Not that this would be a difficult route to navigate by simply following the arrows and signs most of the way, but there were several times, especially in larger towns and cities that the app was very useful for not getting lost. Loved that it combined the coastal and Litoral routes. Also very good for the Spiritual Variant, which I highly recommend. Only used this for Navigation, and there are other resources for other info..Version: 5.7.4

✓ Used this app for multiple various CaminosI always use Wise Pilgrim apps for our Caminos. We have done the Portuguese route various times, Variante Espiritual, the French route (from St. Jean and Ponferrada), and most of the Winter route. Every one we make sure to use these apps. So helpful for navigation, distance, elevation, lodgings, and a little bit of history. Makes the Camino with a family doable..Version: 5.8.7
