IMaschine 2 for Negative User Reviews

Problems on iPhone XI was super excited about being able to use this app when I’m away from my main studio and Maschine setup, but unfortunately I only managed to get this app opened one time on my phone after countless tries and ever since then it crashes everytime I try to open it. I have a brand new phone so would not expect this to be an issue. Very disappointing but since I’m a huge Maschine fan I will be checking back to see if any updates of the app will fix this issue!.Version: 2.2.0

Constant crashing iPad Air 2This was my number 1 app for making music on my iPad. Now since iOS 13 was released, it crashes every few minutes. Say I’m using 1 block of pads and 3 of keys. 1 or 2 key sections will stop working, usually the upper keyboard, notes C, D, E (always D, every time). Everything else works fine. Then after creating something quality, I can’t even select a new sound and hear it. Often notes will also lock and won’t release. I refuse to update from iOS 12 as I’ve given Apple enough cash only to have my devices throttled, and have read too many bad reviews about iOS 13 on Air 2. I love Maschine, and if I had the cash I’d buy one and throw my iPad in the bin, but I’m not financially that privileged. NI, your products are great but please fix the backwards compatibility issues. I’m going crazy..Version: 2.2.3

Great app, but would be better with MIDI inputAm surprised NI doesn't support MIDI input for triggering the pads..Version: 2.0.1

It got deleted off my phone now I can't re download it...Help at all?.Version: 2.0.2

Recording is way off.Compared to the first iMaschine on iPhone 4s using iMaschine 2 on an iPhone 7Plus is a terrible experience as the record, on playback is completely different from what is recorded..Version: 2.2.0

Too basicLooks good, sounds good, easy to use (though it could use a lot of workflow improvements), and has a decent library of sounds. Unfortunately the 4 track limit and lack of basic tools like EQ and insert FX makes this little more than a toy. There’s no reason the full Maschine software can’t run on an iPad Pro and even support the hardware controllers. Hopefully they’re working on a major new version, because this one hasn’t been updated in years and looks abandoned at this point..Version: 2.2.0

Where's the integration? The blurb for this app says you can open projects from the original iMaschine in v2.0. But how? There is no function to do this. Please explain. I feel like I have bought a lemon..Version: 2.1.2

DisappointedWas really looking forward to using this, bitterly disappointed when it wouldn’t get past the loading screen before crashing. Hope this gets fixed ASAP..Version: 2.2.0

Sort out the AUM functionBought this with inter app connectivity in mind. Now I find it has regressed in this regard. The app needs to be able to be routed in line with the as-standard functionality of most apps worth a dime. No updates for years is a joke. I need a refund..Version: 2.2.3

Please Heed my advice!!!I am such an avid fan of this app. Im also an amateur software designer and let me just also say i use this app for my music business to make finger drumming videos on instagram! These are the only small changes that if you made would make this the #1 music production app. - REMOVE THE 15 second sample limit!!! (Beatmaker 3 proves that you CAN do it) - Independent swing on each track (idk who thought it was a good idea to do anything other than that) - ALLOW MIDI CONTROLLERS! This could literally change EVERYTHING. That would Put this app instantly ahead of apps like Beatmaker 3 and garage band because i love them but they arent as simple and minimal as Imashine 2 which is why despite its flaws its still my favorite. Please ask around, im sure many would agree with my statements. Thank you for this app! Very very much appreciate it!.Version: 2.2.3

Needs workThis app is GREAT!!!! I love the control it allows me to have. It’s better than the the beat machine that I had. However.... 1. It has stop working completely on IOS 12.1. It takes about 20 secs and just shuts down. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! 2. The pads are not touch sensitive for dynamics. This makes things difficult when attempting to make your percussion loops sound realistic. 3. There is no quantize in 3/4, 6/8 or advanced meters like 5/4, 7/8, etc. I am a musician. This limits me. Now there is a way for me to turn off the quantize and go manual but the millasecond delay on the pads makes it difficult. I use IMaschine to make tracks for church. Allow I have enjoy this software, the lack of updates have left me wanting more. Especially, with it not working at all. I mean I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still nothing!!!! COME ON NATIVE INSTRUMENTS!!!! Did you guys forget you had an app. Let’s go!!!! Get with the program!!!.Version: 2.2.0

Lost all my projectsThis used to be a really good way to sketch out ideas and get rough songs together, but support has clearly been cut and it has been extremely buggy for the past year. I’m devastated that I’ve lost ~100 projects and am left with an app that is now unusable and that I sunk money into for all sorts of content. Recording samples causes it to crash, certain user kits make it crash... pretty much most things make it crash and you risk the program getting so buggy it won’t start for days on end. Awaiting some support from NI I’m getting the projects back so will loop back and update this if necessary, but even outside of losing the projects this has been very buggy. Love maschine on my Mac and am bummed the experience hasn’t been up to par on mobile..Version: 2.2.0

Improved from v1. Lacking key workflow features.First lemme say this is definitely an improvement from v1. I'm using it as a quick field recorder for percussion and loop creator. Dig that they now have audiocopy, sample reverse, and ableton link implemented. Still this is missing some key features for me and I'm sure a lot of other people using this as a sound creation (instead of consumption) app. PAD COPY/CUT/PASTE. Please let us EDIT pad location in this way; so we can split large samples, organize our created kits, and double kick drums for fast playing. (It's hard to "double time" hits on the phone with such a small UI) Next...WHERE IS THE MIDI SUPPORT? Let me use my usb controllers please. Last — why can't we play "16 levels" for sample tune, velocity , etc? The sample songs are clearly using pitched samples but it's impossible to play different pitches in this app. These demo songs were obviously created in the desktop version of Maschine. This is false advertising..Version: 2.2.0

Annoying lack of purchase RestoralDevelopment of this application seems to have stopped end it doesn’t seem to be possible to install the ultimate collection despite the fact that I paid for the pack. I don’t know why my purchases won’t restore but it seems like I’m not the only person who has a problem. The developer said they were working on a fix in 2016 but nothing ever materialized. A huge sample library that I paid for Is completely inaccessible..Version: 2.2.0

New updateIs there any way to turn the note repeat velocity setting off? I don’t want the volume of a pad to be controlled by the amount of force I put down on it! Especially not when using an iPhone. It has completely ruined the app for me 😕 totally gutted..Version: 2.2.1

IMaschine crashing !!!Ever since iPhone X , This has been crashing . I depended on this app to sketch out ideas , it’s really killing my workflow not being able to use it anymore . Please fix ! UPDATE !!!!.Version: 2.2.0

TerribleNo AU, poor support, no real relation to the desktop version, don't waste your money..Version: 2.2.0

Can’t open appI have an iPhone 7+ and can’t open the app at all without it crashing. This is easily the most expensive app on my phone and I can’t even use it. Very disappointed.Version: 2.2.1

Not workingMy iMaschine 2 app on iPhone isn’t opening. I don’t want to delete the app and re download as I’m afraid it will lose the projects I currently have on there. Can this be fixed please. Otherwise a refund of money would suffice. Thanks.Version: 2.2.0

Latest update introduces BUGCan not navigate back to pads from mixer or files, the pads button no longer works. Makes the product unusable..Version: 2.2.1

Not workingI have bought almost every expansion pack, and now, after the last update, on my iPhone X, stopped working :( When I try to open the app, it’s just black, waiting to enter the app, and comes again in straight out of it i used this app almost every day and i’m reallt dissapointed that it has stopped working..Version: 2.2.0

Make music sometimes...This app is a great portable gateway into the NI music-making universe but lately it’s motto should probably be changed to ‘Make Music whenever the app feels like starting up..’ This large app has never been a speedy start up on any of my iPhones over the years but now on my iPhone X running IOS 12.2 I’m basic getting it to startup successfully about 15% of the time. Can we please fix this?.Version: 2.2.0

Good....but...Still much to be desiredMany see this as just a scratch app...yes it is,but why make us all suffer. What do I mean? As an owner of too many NI tools to mention, this app is just scratching the surface with its current state. I owned version 1 and upgraded to 2 immediately. I've been waiting for portrait mode in order to use the entire screen real estate. I've also been waiting on a proper arrange window.... Like that of the MPC Pro app....what gives? Can we also get more groups and 16 levels? Please? It would really help when bringing it into the $999 piece of gear I already own. I love the MPC App, but guess what? I'm using maschine....it would be very helpful to have similar features. I'm loving all of the updates, but they seem to come quite slowly..Version: 2.2.0

Does not launch - refund requiredI bought this app as well as multiple additional kits. For the past 5 months it always crashes before launching. If you cannot fix the issue, please refund my purchases..Version: 2.2.0

HmmSince latest hardware ( phones and tablets) from Apple is pretty much running on same silicon as their computers now I don’t see any reason why full maschine software with controller support shouldn’t be released? Still it could be of course just bare bone version without extra instruments like massive etc (you should release those as AUv3 for sure tho!;) but really it can be done and you guys will have to at some point port it for m1 equipped macs anyway but I would imagine that is being done already. Now iPad and maschine mk3 would be truly portable solution..Version: 2.2.3

Not iPhoneX compatibleEvery time I try to start up the app it seems to shut off I have had this app for at east 2 months with the iPhone Z and all of a sudden it’s giving problems I now have to use beat maker pls don’t make the mistake and purchasing.Version: 2.2.0

Step in the right direction but still needs more workI like all of the new features, however the lack of ability to edit your keyboard parts in any way, is a major disappointment. The editing of drum pads is a very nice new feature, but in regards to the keys, it's just as limited as the previous version of the app....Version: 2.0

Amazing howeverPlease add a way that you can use music from music apps like spotify.Version: 2.2.0

Great app but annoyingFirst off this app is extremely intuitive and it’s super fun to make music with it. One huge problem and that is that you will find that your music changes randomly and alters what you have originally created and you will find songs you have made will disappear for no reason. This makes making music in this app unfulfilling at times and you will feel very disappointed that the music you worked that you felt proud off is suddenly gone and to never return..Version: 2.2.2

Good butI really like the idea of this application but have only used it to capture real rough ideas. Considering the touch interface on phones and try to get the timing right one of the biggest things that I think would really take this app a lot further would be truly being able to edit the notes or at a bare minimum being able to quantize after recording. Please please add an update that at least gives the ability to quantize after recording. I think this App would be so much more useful with either a real editor or post recording quantization..Version: 2.2.0

Can’t open app and i payed for itI can’t open app as it crashes on start up fix it I payed 15$ dollars for this!!!!!! Ps. I got this 2016 when it worked.Version: 2.2.0

It’s ok for sketching an idea. The sounds are really good and the simplicity is great for sketching out a beat idea but the this app has no integration or accessibility with other DAWs which makes it hard to continue working on your idea. The fact it has no track out option is frustrating. You would have to record each track into your DAW one at a time. The options are, You either export the whole project to be imported only in NI Maschine if you own one) or your stuck with exporting the master out..Version: 2.2.0

Was an amazing appIv paid for nearly every kit package and now its booting me off everytime i try to launch 💔🤬🤬🤬.Version: 2.2.0

Expansion packs missingI bought this as it was supposed to come with all of the free expansion packs but I just keep getting a message saying not available at this time. Complete waste of money. Get your act sorted instead of releasing useless apps..Version: 2.2.0

Great but some problems persistOverall, it works really nicely, but it gets frustrating when you face software issues that don’t seem to be addressed. I’m getting some notes cut when i try to sustain them. Also, it looks like fx can only be applied globally; would be better if they could only be applied to patterns or segments..Version: 2.2.3

Could be incredibleThere is an issue where keys become stuck on the keyboard, if this were fixed it would be amazing. As it is you can only write so much before encountering the stuck key issue and having to restart the app. Makes it very difficult to actually write anything..Version: 2.2.3

Restore purchases not workingCannot open any of my imaschine 1 projects as it won't restore purchases.Version: 2.0

Features not workingHello - certain features of the expansions for the app aren’t working. The App doesn’t let me Restore my Purchases or Download the latest Ultimate Collection. Very disappointed. On iPhone X..Version: 2.2.0

Not the bestThere are free apps that are better than this. Waste of money 🙄.Version: 2.2.3

Great workflow on the fly but glitches when purchasing packs!Great App to get beat ideas down when on the move, but it’s unstable when purchasing/downloading expansions! I’ve purchased the ultimate collection expansion (£9.99) and it keeps saying “Error” when I try to download it. I don’t know what to do and it’s basically a £9.99 loss if I can’t get it to work. Tried on both my iOS devices and nothing works. FIX IT NATIVE INSTRUMENTS! SMH!.Version: 2.2.0

Needs improvementsMakes my ipad pro run hot Cant even input fast rhythms because the pads mess up and dont allow multiple finger presses. Its been like this forever and impc has never had that issue. It would be great to be able to actually use the pads properly if they ever decide to fix that..Version: 2.2.0

IMaschine 2 Miss?I was once a massive (If you pardon the pun) fan of NI, but I have to say that iMaschine 2 is a huge disappointment. Compared with it's biggest rival, Akai (and Retronyms) iMPC Pro, iMaschine 2 looks positively amateur. It doesn't make sense that it supports the iPad Pro, when there's nothing remotely pro about this app. Where's the time stretching? Where's the audio quantising? Where's the slice to pads feature? Where's anything that you would actually find on a real NI Maschine? Oh, and most annoyingly, why only 4 tracks? I'm sorry, but the original iMaschine seemed light on features when it was a launched some years ago, but this in 2016 with staggeringly powerful iOS devices such as the iPad Pro is just a joke. NI seriously need to step up their game in the iOS department and quickly!.Version: 2.0.2

CrashesNo longer usable.Version: 2.2.0

Has potential but..This is good on the go but there is no way to sync between iOS devices like iPhone and iPad. Plus if your iOS device is lost or damaged then you lose your ideas. Which they had better cloud syncing..Version: 2.2.3

TOATAL MISSSorry just wish this worked in a nicer linear way more like the daw it would be of mass appeal.Version: 2.2.3

DisappointingHave you guys just stopped supporting this? I’ve been a long time user and sad to see this app just crashing on startup.. whathappened to product quality which you known for?.Version: 2.2.0

This is so annoying!!I’ve spent a lot of time and money on this app, I was even considering buying a Maschine Studio soon, however if Native Instruments can not be bothered to update an app or release iMaschine 3 then how can I be confident that they will look after any future investments I make. 2 years of music I created on this app has disappeared plus the app doesn’t even open anymore..Version: 2.2.0

Not good at allThe biggest problem with this is lag! (latency) which for a drum machine is a BIG problem. Why would anybody want to hit a pad but near the audio half a second later? It makes performing and recording impossible. I’ve worked in the music business for 28 years and had decent success....have worked in well over 20 studios and used virtually all kinds of technology. This....is not good tech at all. Playing something one second and hearing it the next is nothing other than useless. It also crashes. Therefore...it is even more useless. It has not been updated for over a year ... so NI have clearly given up on this, and I can understand why. Do not bother. I want to buy their actual Maschine this week and hope it’s better than this!.Version: 2.2.0

No updatesAs above looks like NI have given up on iOS app development.Version: 2.2.0

Great app but no midiNative instruments have great applications, I own Komplete. Lots of care and creativity goes into all their products including this. One big however though is there is no midi enabled for this app. As a drummer who wants to use external controllers played with drum sticks to play sounds this means you can’t play iMaschine with them. Hopefully this will, one day be updated.Version: 2.2.3

This should be freeWhile the ability to continue or finish projects from the computer is very innovative, the basic elements that distinguish Maschine are absent. Working with iMaschine is very difficult in that it barely functions or even resembles any similarity to the real deal. It really feels like more of a novelty item or a toy than anything. There’s not even a traditional piano roll feature and the sliders are very difficult to gauge and control. Really could be much more of a useful tool if it was even hardware compatible. The even the most basic functions and fast workflow that make Maschine 2 such a powerful tool are simply not present within this application. Hopefully in the future it will become worth the money..Version: 2.2.0

Great little production suite but...Love iMaschine 2, it’s a great little production suite, but could do with a few little improvements. Not had much of a play but I am familiar with many NI products including Maschine, Traktor, TraktorDJ and Komplete suite amongst other hardware and software I have from NI. 1. Would be nice to have an additional 4 tracks to play with. 4 is quite a limit. Maybe 8 would be less limiting, 16 would be awesome! 2. Would be nice to see an update which allows the Traktor Audio 2 to be used as a sound card to give the output a bit more punch. iPad has a very low level output from the headphone even on a powered speaker. More recommendations to come as I use it more. But it is pretty good at first glance, but only 3 stars due to the limits in tracks and no Traktor Audio 2 compatibility. For almost £10 I would expect a little more. I have traktor DJ on my iPad and that is great and sounds awesome through the TA2, whereas iMaschine 2 sounds a bit pants through my headphones..Version: 2.2.3

I want my money back.Noob app.Version: 2.2.2

Good packs, needs midi in!This app would be sooo much better if I could plug in my Maschine MK2! Besides that, chop function is sweet. Packs are nice. It needs a side chain compressor..Version: 2.0.2

Extremely limited in functionalityPlusses: sounds amazing, familiar Maschine workflow, easiest sampling on the fly you will ever encounter Minuses: extremely limited sound palette (even owning half the add on packs); a nightmare to arrange a song in; extremely unintuitive and un-ergonomic interface; limit of 4 patterns per track is unnecessarily stingy (if you have one pattern for the intro and one for the outro that only leaves you two patterns per track for the body of the song — pathetic) In short it is more of a toy than a serious musical tool, albeit an extremely complicated toy that will leave you cursing if you are tempted to try serious work with it..Version: 2.2.0

Unable to open appHave been using the app for a while now but recently have found that the app will not open, had this problem after a while on my old IOS device too.Version: 2.2.0

Update the App for iOS 13It looks like a broken toy.Version: 2.2.2

Crashes often... decent when it doesn’t.I’m honestly disappointed in and with native instruments. For how many new sound packs and features they release throughout a year I feel like iMaschine 2 should run WAY more smoothly than it does on my 7 plus. I can never rely 100% for the app to even open, often times it’ll show the start screen then just crash. Funny enough, it’ll be there in the background but I can’t open it. I’m often stuck with force closing the app and trying to restart it but that rarely works. I’ve deleted the app several times, losing projects in the process, only to reinstall and nothing works. I’ve been a native instruments user for quite a while, but honestly, I’m over their slow to no response customer service and glitchy app. I haven’t even described how limited the app is, which can be cool for creativity, but c’mon native instruments, this app is begging for an update. 2-stars and I’m being generous..Version: 2.2.0

Great app!App is great unless you need customer service or something is wrong from Native Instruments end, then you’re done. I’ve been waiting a week and a half for an instrument kit ($10 in app purchase). I’ve talked with 7 different people from iTunes to try and diagnose my download error, talked with my bank and now will be sitting on hold (have been for 40 minutes) with native instruments. By now it’s almost not worth it but I really enjoy making music from my phone and I already have NI products that I use in my studio. Native Instruments support could use serious improvements..Version: 2.2.0

Latency on IPhone 6sIs there anyway to reduce the latency on this app? The iMaschine 1 app worked great on an older phone but this app has a half second delay between hitting the pad and the sound coming out..Version: 2.2.0

Many great memories...I used to love using this app to make basic beats and create ideas for future songs I would produce. That is, until I could no longer open the app. A while ago, I found that I can no longer access the application anymore. This saddens me, since I had many treasured songs stored in its files. They will be missed. All I'm asking of the devs is that I can at least open the app so I can export my songs. Other than that issue, this is a great app! I hope I can recover my songs soon :(.Version: 2.2.0

Useless unless you own maschine! Don't waste your money.Looks good on the surface but pretty useless software unless you own maschine. No way to export to Dropbox. Audio copy doesn't work. Only saves maschine files so yeah pretty useless. Nice samples but what a piss off. Native Instruments fix this NOW!.Version: 2.0.1

Blank pads, go figure. With no way to name pads, how are users supposed to remember what sound is assigned to what pad? Rivals Novation and BeatHawk do so much better in this respect. Why can't iMaschine offer the same? I am actually out off using this, because it's interface is a guessing game. Nic.Version: 2.2.0

CrashesFix the crash.Version: 2.2.0

Shame 👎🏻This app was great on my iPhone 6, but it’s no good now that I’m on an iPhone 8. Only opens every now and then and my previous purchases have vanished. Crap..Version: 2.2.0

DO NOT BUY!!! Sample Editor is InoperativeNeeded a quick solution to augment my Maschine Studio workflow. Specifically, I needed a quick way to record and edit samples when away from my main production area. I looked at the iPad stuff by other recommended brands (e.g., MPC, Beatmaker 3) but felt their functions were overkill for my needs. I read the critical reviews on this app and did not heed the warnings. I was foolish. Well, Native Instruments won this battle (stealing my money). Nonetheless, I’ll win the war. From this point forward, I’m getting rid of everything I own by NI. I also plan to tell everybody I can to avoid them at any cost. So long, NI!!!.Version: 2.2.2

The So-called “Free” Quantum Collection Expansion Collection won’t download! Please sort this out N.I. The app hasn’t seen an update in 2 years +.Version: 2.2.3

Won’t load againI’ve deleted it because it won’t load again after several attempts. Waste of money. We should be able to label pad to know what’s where..Version: 2.2.0

IMaschine 2 not connecting to GarageBand.I’ve been using iMaschine 2 for my production with GarageBand and for some reason it hasn’t been connecting lately, and even if it does connect there will be no volume. If you could fix this issue that would be really cool, I wanna produce again man..Version: 2.2.2

Great but could be top with more UpdatesI have mixed feelings about this app. I have been a user of from version 1. When 2 came along i thought it was perfect because of the ability to have a few extra scenes and also the ability to create a decent arrangement. Unfortunately due to the lack of updates i have had to delete it on two occasions and have because of this lost many ideas i have made. This was mainly due to at one point being thrown out every time i tried to open the app simply. After waiting for like what seemed like forever and a day they dropped a update. That was 2 years or so ago. Yet they still release packs? I would love to see more features regarding sampling. More fx.... ability to select what instrument or loop i want the effect on? Things of that nature. Its a big part of my workflow as i am not always able to turn the Mac on.. Native? Whats your problem bruv????? Forgot about the little man. Tut tut tut. Shame on them..Version: 2.2.3

Needs MIDIWould love to use my MIDI keyboard with this... please add! Also would love to be able to export the instrument sounds that I’ve purchased. There’s a work around by playing the sound and exporting the song, but would love to have the ability of export for each instrument or pack..Version: 2.2.0

Cannot export and cannot create full songsGreat app but cannot export if you don't already own a Physical Real Maschine Also cannot create full songs ー only loops and quick ideas. However I do love how powerful it is... I hope an update will fix this. The developer intended it to be limited this way... Please unlock those features..Version: 2.0.1

IPhone 6s crashesThis app is now unstable but used to work great. It doesn’t even load anymore please fix. Changed to 1 star after 3 months and still no sign of native fixing this app. Think I’m gonna sell all my native gear if this is what support we get..Version: 2.2.0

TerribleThe app does not even go through the home screen. This app is a hoax. Do yourself a favour and do NOT purchase this..Version: 2.2.0

IPhone X nope.Purchased this app, got a new phone and this app is glitchy af. Quits constantly when loading, launches my voice memos when I press play? Hard resetting your phone and uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work at all. What a waste on what was such a great app. How can this work on an old phone but not a new one??? Terrible support..Version: 2.2.0

Close but not close enoughI’ve enjoyed playing around with this app but found the limitations so frustrating that it’s hard to imagine returning to iMaschine 2 until the necessary improvements are implemented. Whilst the drum sequencing is extremely flexible, the whole product is let down by the absence of piano roll for any elements of a track requiring keys. If timing is even slightly out, the results are immediately self evident. Given that this can be so easily rectified in the desktop version of Maschine, it seems ridiculous that this vital editing functionally is omitted from the iOS version. Please fix in a future update for a five star review.Version: 2.2.0

-$Once I purchased iMaschine 2 it did not let me restore an expansions from the previous iMaschine Don't get me wrong great app, great experience but why purchase all those expansions again ? Hungry hungry hippos.Version: 2.2.0

Really just incompatible with iPhone 12 and 13For use of its basic functions, the app works pretty well, but it does crash often. One of the most frustrating things about this app is that it hangs up when you try download any packs — even the packs that you’ve paid money for — because it’s not really compatible with the latest iPhones. In fact, this app has minimal online support and hasn’t been updated in a long time. Don’t waste your time, and certainly don’t waste your money on the Ultimate Pack if you have an iPhone 12 and above. If you’ve previously purchased the Ultimate pack and have since upgraded to an iPhone 12 or above, then you’re out of luck, because the app will not load these packs on newer iPhones. Native Instruments has really gone downhill in quality, and it seems to be a common theme for them to abruptly abandon support of a lot of their products — this app on the latest iPhones being a prime example..Version: 2.2.3

Mother...Okay. I paid for the original back in the day. Had to rebuy it because of its “imaschine 2”. Anybow, lost my add ons and everything. Fast forward to today snd I try to re-download it and nope. Have to have ios 12. Yeeah **** you guys..Version: 2.2.2

Fun but limitedRather than listing features it’s probably better to list what this app doesn’t have - MIDI, inter-app audio, Audiocopy/paste, editing of melodic sequences (beyond “clear”). The only way to get anything out of it is to iTunes or Soundcloud, and personally I think any day without having to use iTunes is a good day… Other than this IM2 is quite fun, even if you are limited to the supplied sounds. But, while I’ve got you Native Instruments: Traktor DJ for IOS, Great app, and I’m sure you are in the middle of writing TDJ2 at the moment. Here’s a request: Sample decks, four, with Audiopaste for import. Here’s why: I’ve always wanted to knock up a loop in Gadget (or similar) and use it in TDJ. I know you could do it via a Mac and iTunes, but in a car?.Version: 2.0

Same app after 2 yearsThere will be a time where your usage on this app is maximized and therefore will no longer be needed. I have reached this peak. I have had this app a little over 2 years and I have used it repeatedly. I have no use for it any longer for it’s limited capabilities and lack of updates. It would be great if we can add more than 4 arrangements, is just one example, then again… They no longer update it. I have switched to Korg Gadget, they allow usb and Bluetooth connections with external midi controllers..Version: 2.2.3

Great app if you actually own a Maschine or Maschine Studio. This is a handy little extra in your pocket if you own a Maschine product.....if you are looking for an all singing all dancing Drum machine app....it’s probably not gonna be your thing, but I can say it’s a great accompaniment for a Maschine Studio owner like myself, and trust me the hardware and software I have is nothing like this, Native Instruments have done a good job with the Maschine Studio and I own lots of other synths and drum machines too. A great “accompaniment “ app :).Version: 2.2.1

New sound packs please?I like the app for what it is and enjoy most of the sound packs that it offers. But with the vast amount of full version sound pack expansions released recently, you’d think they would release a lot more app expansions for users to try. There are other applications that offer new expansions almost daily or weekly. I feel like the time it takes for NI to drop new expansions for the app are stretched so far in between that you find yourself burning through the downloaded expansion sounds quickly, or sort of lose interest altogether because of how repetitive the sound banks become. I understand that it’s a demo of the full expansions, but releasing new packs for users to try more frequently wouldn’t hurt..Version: 2.2.3

What happenedSo I upgraded my iPhone to the 8 and the app won’t open anymore? Anyone else have this issue?.Version: 2.2.0

Neo boogie expansion pleaseStill waiting for this expansion on the iOS IMaschine.Version: 2.2.3

We need more ways to import samples than AudioCopy!!!!I’ll get rid of this review once you guys get rid of audiocopy as your only way of importing samples. The app doesn’t even work! This has so much potential what a waste!.Version: 2.2.3

This App is Good But Needs ImprovementsThe number one thing needed is cloud support. Actually all of their product would benefit from cloud services that way you would be able to sync all projects cross all your devices and their products instead of needing work arounds when changing devices or want projects for the computer app or vice versa. Also they need to update this for iPad Pro 11” because there are big boards around the app. I don’t think they update this app much because it seems like they aren’t trying to improve the app in general because they know it’s good. But the thing is it could be better with small changes that could drastically change the user experience. If they could fix those complaints this app would be A+ because outside of those complaints it’s really good. It’s a slightly simpler version of desktop version which is a good thing on a mobile device..Version: 2.2.0

Abandoned?I feel like I’m in an dysfunctional relationship with iMaschine. I give her tons of attention, tender caresses and patience but it is never reciprocated. I get crashes, stuck and missing notes in return for my dedication. That said, iMaschine is an essential part of my overall Maschine workflow when it works. The direct export to Maschine projects makes it great for capturing inspiration and ideas when away from Maschine. NI please stop letting your users down. iOS development is not difficult enough to excuse your silence or lack of effort in maintaining and improving this app. It’s sad. I cram to understand how you would rather have people think and speak negatively about a product you are still charging new users for instead of just addressing the bugs Atleast. Even if you won’t add new features, have enough pride in your brand to update it with bug fixes. I spend so much time defending NI only to be let down. Stop the madness..Version: 2.2.3

Restoring PurchasesI have just downloaded this app to my new iphone and it will not let me restore purchases, i have spent a lot on expansion packs on my previous iphone. It let me restore purchases from my earlier phone to the one before my current phone ... need a fix for this..Version: 2.2.0

Needs Major UpdateI love NI products and I’m sure there are others that feel the same way; some may even own multiple products. However, the mobile app needs some serious updates. What was once a great app 5 years ago has now starting to become obsolete. Do not allow this great product to become dated especially during a time where more creators are moving towards mobile—Maschine has serious bug issues with iOS13 by the way. The sample editor doesn’t work properly by not showing what you are cutting like you once could. The app crashes when paired with GarageBand and the features hasn’t changed since maschine 2 came out..Version: 2.2.2

Apps crashing on start upHave to agree with the review below. Have made a heap of awesome starter tracks etc using this app but recently I am unable to even open the app as it just keeps crashing. NI please bring out a hotfix or update for this ASAP!.Version: 2.2.0

Good app but nowhere to take it!Good: -Relatively easy to learn -Create loops easily -Sampling is fun w/ pitch change & backwards -Powerful and stable software -Quality sounds Bad (Depending on your needs): -You can't make full length songs (eg. 3 minutes) -You can't plug in a real drumpad -Hard to edit a beat, for instance if you nail a real nice loop but one pad press was slightly off you can't just move it ahead or back in time. You'll have to redo that one drum kick over and over til it's recorded perfect. I used the first iMaschine app for two years and then bought the updated iMaschine2 and used it for a bit before buying FL Studio Mobile. FL Studio Mobile allows you to record full length songs, plug a drumpad into your iPad/iPhone, and edit a beat... All the things missing with this app. iMaschine2 is fun for making little beats but to elaborate and create a musical masterpiece, you might want to keep searching..Version: 2.0.2

GIVE ME MY MONEY BACKApp is truly a piece of garbage. If it were free I would understand. But the fact you're paying $14 so you can spend more money is ridiculous. The app itself can make no good music. Just simple drum sounds that won't go together. Barely any vocals. I seriously want a refund..Version: 2.0.2

Great app but since latest ios update, will not bootLove this app, when I cannot get time to use my maschine hardware this app always filled the gap. Unfortunately since the latest ios update the app will not boot. Considering the price of the app a dedicated service would be apt!.Version: 2.2.0
