CymaScope - Music Made Visible for Positive User Reviews

HopeI do hope they will revisit and add 441 hertz !.Version: 1.5

Fun and beautiful! This app does exactly what it says it does. It is a beautiful introduction to understanding Sound Made Visible using actual Cymaglyphs, created on a Cymascope. It’s fun to use and it is pure science. If you understand the mechanisms of sonic science and it’s healing properties, you’ll appreciate how cool it is..Version: 1.0.7

Making the invisible, visible. In a fun and intriguing way this brings to life subtleties of sound and chants. It is particularly impressive if used to show a group patterns created by voices and or instruments. Probably best used for strings of notes and sound that are not too repetitive. Excellent work..Version: 1.2

Thank you!I have been interested in Cymatics for some time and ran across this app in the AppStore today. I am thrilled to be able to create these beautiful images with sound, amazing! Thank you so much for creating this, brilliant!.Version: 1.5

This app isn't supposed to be live music; you can't make an iphone into a cymascopeThis app is very good for what it is..Version: 1.5

Grateful....This is a beautiful and accessible tool to learn about Cymatics and play with Sound. Love IT..Version: 1.5

Limited to equal temperamentIt’s fun, beautiful and entertaining - and the 432 Hz option is good, but I wish for a future release it wasn’t tied to equal temperament notes only. When I gave it some specific just intonation frequencies from a tone generator (I.e. B-flat and F in 432hz just intonation), it interpreted them as A and E, respectively.Version: 1.5

Beautiful & FunThis is a great app for anyone who is interested in cymatic visualizations. I like how you can create images using your own sounds. While there's some consistency in functionality issues, I hope they continue to develop this app - as it is a lovely concept..Version: 1.2

Gorgeous patterns, deep resultsThis is a great way to see that 432 is better and 440. I also love how these designs look like the patterns stars emit. Makes one wonder. Is everything we see a frequency of sound?.Version: 1.4

Great app! This is an awesome app for anyone who's interested in cymatics! Whether you're a musician, in education, or just want to have fun with sound, you will enjoy using it..Version: 1.0.6

Science Rules! This app is the coolest thing I currently have on my phone! I was captivated by cymatics, and having digital playback of an actual scientific instrument has been truly enriching to my life. I use it to show friends who have never heard of cymatics, but also to play my instrument to the microphone feature on the app and be able to see those sounds affect on water is truly incredible. Thank you!.Version: 1.5

Not quite what I thought it would beThis app is cool but it's not quite what I thought it would be. They have just recorded the videos of a cymatic water device and when u play or sing each note in, the recording video of that note plays. There is no fluid in- between transition between the notes it just switches from one note recording to another. Thought I was gonna have a lot of fun but have to say A little bit disappointed and won't be using this app even though I just paid lots of money for it. I wondered why I had not heard of this app before and after opening it now I know..Version: 1.5

Super coolThis truly is a revolution in our understanding of music from the standpoint of vibrational frequency as the translation of everything. That includes of course the perception of image based upon photo-reception. Additionally, water the foundation of life provides the modicum necessary in order to visualize frequency. The discovery of the technology incorporated in this application is perhaps a testament to the deepest understanding of the fibers of reality. In terms of physics credence can be lent to string theory, or that all matter and energy share the common language of constantly vibrating particles. Pandora's Box is open now. May as well see what's inside.Version: 1.5

Excellent AppI really enjoyed this App. It gave me the opportunity of seeing music’s vibrations. It’s amazing!.Version: 1.0.7

A great start! :)First off- what an amazing concept and idea! In future updates, would be great to get proper octaves instead of the current limited range. Also, just a question, but is the 'source' of vibration also responsible for the cymatic image? In other words, if I play a middle c on the piano, would that have exactly the same image as me singing that same middle c pitch? What if two different people sang that same note? Would the image look different? How do you know from this app? Thanks and keep up the great work!.Version: 1.0.6

Groundbreaking App!This is the only app I know of that can do this. Would love to see continuous updates, but overall this app is excellent and has massive potential..Version: 1.5

Awesome. There are times when I just can't believe what people are developing for our phones, and this is one of them. The concept of Cymatics has been around for a while, but to be able to visualize sounds on your mobile device, it redefines our potential to unlock another dimension of our world. Imagine being able view a bird's song or the sound of ocean waves... the possibilities are endless..Version: 1.5

Beautiful appUnfortunately when I mirroring it to my laptop the images/patterns doesn’t come up in the screen. Any idea how to fix it?.Version: 1.5

A bargain under £10It is not a CymaScope, but an interactive insight into cymatic patterns. Watch the YouTube demo. The patterns are stored in the app, NOT generated by it, even so plenty of factors to play with. Screen estate could be better used. IF you realise what you are seeing, you will be even more impressed with this App.Version: 1.5
