Habitica: Gamified Taskmanager for Negative User Reviews

Love it, but it’s brokenThis app is the best which is why it’s so frustrating that I can’t use it anymore!!! Whenever I try and make a new task it quits on me immediately. It’s a real shame because this app is so useful- if this gets fixed I highly recommend it..Version: 3.4.4

Cool idea, needs a lot of workLove the idea of this app! However I wish I was able to organize the routine building portion better, and it would have morning things together, mid day and night. I also hate you can’t check stuff off without editing it. The app is super buggy, and doesn’t run smooth at all but really cool idea and I hope they fix it up better as I’d love to use It without issues.Version: 3.1.3

Lost Some Functionality In This Version2.0.1 version: I like the new UI and added functionality that has been brought to this version (being able to see how much damage you will inflict on a boss quest after using a certain skill, new buttons) However, some functionality is also now gone: Can no longer organize pets by color group and I have to search through each pet to find which color animal still needs feeding. Also, no way to feed Royal Purple pets now; they are not under each pet's color grouping. Party functionality still is glitchy and I can't seem to add another person to an existing party or message anyone via app. This problem has been persistent for many versions. More quests and new activities to compete would be great. I've started Habitica over twice in one year because I keep maxing out on the things I can do. Love love love the app and has been great for me, but just looking for more things to do inside it other than feeding pets and finishing the quests! Keep up the great work..Version: 2.0.1

Crashes on login to FBI tried to return to Habitica but can’t login to my account through the app. Whenever I select to login via Facebook the app shuts down :/.Version: 3.3

Just a few thingsI do like Habitica, in fact I use it every day now. It’s helped me in the process of kicking a few bad habits and drinking more water. However, the game aspect of this app is hard to reach if you aren’t willing to give some irl money for some gems. I just wish there was more to buy with the in game money. Also if you have too many of one thing the app tends to lag..Version: 2.1.2

Crashes, UnusableIt crashes and closes the app a few seconds after opening it. I see the habitica logo screen for a second before it closes..Version: 3.3.2

This is a game changer, but the bugs are killing meReally loving this app so far. I think it has potential to make positive global impact. There are sooo many bugs though. For example, I can’t use the app on my mobile phone because the developers didn’t build in a way to switch between the Facebook accounts used to log in. Once you log in with a certain account, you’re literally stuck with that no matter many times you log out it delete the app. I initially downloaded Habitica on my tablet, and used my main Facebook account to create my login info. Once I was ready to download the app on my mobile device, the app automatically tried to sign me in with a Facebook account I don’t even use. I’ve tried everything including deleting the app, but there’s literally no way to simply switch which Facebook account I use to log into Habitica. So I can only use the app on my tablet instead of being able to sync across devices —this greatly limits my productivity :/.Version: 2.10.1

I have several complaints 📃... Even the simple act of trying to sign into the application didn’t work. I got a window of pure techno-jargon. Something about date and time failing. This is ridiculous. Update your application, please. EDIT: Nevermind. I closed it and opened it again. Now it seems to work. EDIT 2: Your app lags like the dickens. EDIT 3: A little format creativity, please? This just looks like a glorified Reminders or Calendar application. Oh, aye, black text on stark white. That’s refreshing... EDIT 4: ... The daily tasks I had set are now erased. They were just there. They’re gone. I did not touch them. I thought they’d be repeated each day, but they just deleted themselves. HOW? In conclusion: Fix. Your. App..Version: 2.0.6

Best features removedI’ve loved using this app on and off for 8 years now, but it sucks to see it’s most unique features - guilds and taverns - removed. They created community and a sense of cheering each other on to complete things. Now, it’s just another task list with rpg leveling. I hope they bring these features back..Version: 3.9

Won’t even let you register.Tried registration from multiple phones and tablets on Wi-Fi and 3G. No dice. Just keeps throwing up a red banner stating ‘Cannot connect to server. Please check your network connection’. All other apps and services can connect to the Internet just fine. A quick search online lists numerous connection / sync issues with the app. Most disappointing, I was looking forward to trying this..Version: 1.14

Going downhillI’ve been using Habit off and on since 2014. Its premise is great - get stuff done and meet other people along the way to help motivate you. However, the people in charge now are not the ones who built the app and site. Habit was built by volunteers, but bizarrely, those volunteers have all been shown the door, and now Habit is ending features that got me invested in the app. Two main social hubs, the Tavern and guilds, are being shuttered on August 8th, and with them go two great ways of meeting other people. The app still has a Looking for Group feature, and the Tavern and some of the guilds have migrated to unofficial Discords, but this shutdown of social spaces is not a good sign of things to come..Version: 3.8.1

This is great butI have seen many people complained about the fact that their is no ‘solo’ option for boss, and I do kinda agree this should be added. Also I have a problem with some of my remainders who like, activates the wrong day, so I fell like this is kind of a big problem for a calendar app..Version: 2.10.1

Unable to register to use the appDownloaded the app and was looking forward to trying it out. I was unable to register. It was constantly saying that I can’t connect to the server and I should check my internet connection. My connection was perfectly fine. Still didn’t manage to register. Even tried it with google registration. It still didn’t work out..Version: 1.14

Crash bugI have been using habitica for a while now. The app itself is great, but after I updated, I can't open the app, it keep crashing before I can do anything. Please fix the problem.Version: 1.11.1

App has gotten a lot clunkier the last few monthsCan’t tell that a day has passed if you haven’t opened the app. Takes 1 min to connect to the server, register that it is a new day and reset the dailies while you’re just sitting there waiting. Doesn’t reset the day at the time specified..Version: 3.9

Won’t Even StartThis seemed like such an exciting, promising game to me and I was really looking forward to the playing it. The problem is every single time I try to sign up, it loads and loads but simply does nothing. I can’t get past the sign-up page no matter what I do. I am quite disappointed as like I said, I thought this would have been a fantastic app to use..Version: 1.14

I’m now a productive machine!I love using Habitica. It has been the best to help motivate me to do things, no matter what they are. I mostly use the desktop version, but this mobile version is handy. However, recently I’ve not been able to use my mobile app as effectively as normal. I’m a part of a party...but the mobile app does not seem to know this. It wants me to create a new party or join a different one. Help?.Version: 1.13.1

Can’t seem to add todoFor some reason I can’t seem to add a new todo item in the iPad app. Very inconvenient..Version: 2.10.1

Party BugsI’ve updated my app and still the Party is so wrong. Took days for my party invite to go through and now it finally has and it’s still not working! Now whenever I attack the quest there is pending damage but the next day nothing happened, all damage gone. I’ve wasted saved up mana twice now for this, please fix it.Version: 2.4.2

Great concept but poor ease-in mechanicsI downloaded this app to help me be more disciplined with my habits and tasks. Instead, the introduction is so inaccessible that it takes me more discipline to use the app than it does to just do the tasks. It’s like you’re trying to sell a product and you don’t know how to use it yourself. If one of the big secrets to habit building is starting small then these app developers don’t know how to get people to make a habit of using their app. Ironic, really. Try reading or listening to the the book “stick with it” by Sean Young and it might help you design your app better..Version: 2.1.2

Bug fixesJust a lil note about bug fixes, the character doesn’t ride the white wolf mount but it just clipped into it. Often can’t re-order your to-do tasks and when you try one will duplicate, you’ll delete it, and then it’ll come up as you deleting a different task. It’s such a cool concept but it’s just frustrating and broken in some places, I stopped using it for 3-4 months and even when I can back the bugs were still the same and quite obvious.Version: 1.14

Love it, but glitchingI've had this for a while now, love the idea and the design, but I can no longer check my items or anything like that. When I try to go into more of the setting/items/character area my phone simply closes the app. Not sure if this is just a me thing but would be awesome if I was able to do that again..Version: 3.2.3

Love the app, but quality needs to be betterUpdate: The latest 2 versions of the app have ceased to work at all for me. They crash on startup. The bug reporting link continues to be broken both on the web browser and app. As much as I love habitica, I'm seriously considering alternatives. I've worked through the cosmetic issues over the years because I love the concept, but it's just unusable now. I use this app all day long. Habitica has become a core part of my daily routine and in that respect, I love it. The mobile app however has had and continues to have quality problems that make it frustrating to use. The food for pets screen has had shown duplicates and "phantom food" for as long as I can remember, at least a year, probably more. Most recently, completing a task occasionally causes me to lose health?!? I totally appreciate the energy and I recognize that habitica is largely contribution driven, but if we want a larger community, the tools need to work reliably. Also, on a related note, the "report a bug" link on the website doesn't work from iOS safari..Version: 1.11.2

It was good and all thatIt was so good that i used it everyday. Now i changed my phone and I can’t login through facebook anymore, tried to login with my email that is on facebook and user is not registered. Now i lost everything :/.Version: 2.5.3

Won’t let me loginDownloaded the app and entered all my details in to the register screen. When I pressed register nothing happened. Went back out of the register screen to the login screen, entered my user name and password and it says I’m not registered? Requested a password reset via email, no email has come through?! Can the developers please help?.Version: 2.0.6

Amazing concept- a lot of bugsI love this app but get a bit frustrated with it. On my iPhone 7 it seems to have a lot of bugs. Deleting things doesn't work. Sometimes I will open one task and it will open a completely different one. Refreshing doesn't work. Default tasks are extremely hard to edit/get rid of. A couple of people I have talked to with the app have similar problems..Version: 2.1.2

Fantastic app, frustrating bugsI have only just begun using this app and have already seen great benefits! The rules are clear and attaching every-day chores to a game character really works! The downside, however, has been writing in the Tasks in the first place - almost every time I save a task the app freezes for about 5-10 seconds and it is incredibly frustrating. Also, why does this app have to be online whenever you use it? It feels like it would be perfectly fine for offline use. Also could you guys add a focus timer to the app like Forest does? That would really complete the experience!.Version: 2.10.1

App crashing with latest updateI can’t open the application since the newest update (as of August 19 2022). It appears to still be open in the background, but if I try to tab over to the app or re-open it: crash..Version: 3.3.2

Widgets completely ruinedWidgets now have a wide black border, making them unreadable and unsightly, please fix!.Version: 3.9

BorkI’d love to use it but it’s completely broken when it’s a new day. The app doesn’t refresh your Dailies or Habits, it won’t notify you. If I restart the app or force a refresh it doesn’t always fix it. Like right how my Habits were correctly refreshed but my Dailies still have one checked but it’s from yesterday… It makes the app a bit pointless..Version: 3.7.3

Initially enjoyable but ruined by glitchesI was initially enjoying the app and the game theme actually worked for me as fun motivation for developing good habits and ironing out bad habits. I decided to try it for a month before subscribing to the paid version. I made it as far as level ten before the first signs of trouble. Frustratingly my day would not refresh. I had manually set my day to start at 5am and it had been working fine up to this point. Although disappointing, I decided to simply skip a day and see what would happen the following day. I was pleased to see that the following day had reset but then all of my dailies had disappeared and have not reappeared..Version: 2.8.1

Great but app failed on meLoved this app, 5/5 used it every morning. Then suddenly it’s started to crash every time I open it and have not been able to use it since. So hopefully it gets fixed since this app has helped me a lot with organization..Version: 3.3.3

Good App Let Down By Technical ProblemsThe app has great functionality, gamifying tasks and having good support for regular activities, one-off tasks and enforcing habits (or stopping ad habits). Plus it’s simple to use and the gamification itself is fun. All this is somewhat let down by technical issues. Marking tasks and habits as done is weirdly inconsistent, especially after first opening the app. Some habits might register as being done twice and others not at all. Colour-coding of activities seems wrong sometimes (why is a habit I’ve not done showing green?). And repeating (e.g. weekly) tasks missed are inconsistent as to whether they stay showing as due the next day. None of the problems are deal-breakers and I still use the app. But they are stopping me recommending it to others..Version: 3.9.2

App crashesThe app closes as soon as I open it since today, the day it updated to 3.2.2. I really, really love the is app, I use it everyday!!! Please fix it soon ❤️ Thank you so much for all the good work x.Version: 3.3.2

Full damage glitchMy party has had a glitch in two challenges in a row in which damage will be normal for a few rounds then all of a sudden, a member will deal some absurd impossible amount of damage and finish the challenge in one go (e.g. finding 33 bars of soap OR dealing 466 damage in one turn). How is this possible???! It’s ruining the ‘game’ for us..Version: 2.5.1

Cant even go inEverytime I try to open the app, it opens to the loading screen, then instantly close..Version: 3.3.2

Rude staff, buggy appAs an app, Habitica is buggy, slow to load and lacking in features with no significant new releases in years. But the staff promote the vibrant community as a major USP for their app. And it was vibrant... until they removed fired their moderation team with no preparation, alienated all volunteers on the platform and posted rude and threatening messages, violating their own community guidelines. Anyone speaking up against these changes is being muted or banned with no explanation. Give your custom to a deserving company, not this one. Habitica; Do Better..Version: 3.6.6

Poor quality, too simpleI had this app on my phone for an hour and deleted it. Main issue is you can set a task to be completed once a day, once a week or once a month only - nothing in between. How about if I want to visit the gym twice a week? Also, the user forum (called a guild) is buggy. I wasn’t able to ask a question without it being added as a reply to an existing message. Tried many times, was definitely not tapping on “reply”. As this is the only way to get help, that’s a dealbreaker for me..Version: 3.7

Nice idea but buggy from startJust tried it despite reviews about tasks disappearing, and yep, I made a list of to dos with all my upcoming work deadlines but when I exited and then re-entered, they had all disappeared. My dailies were still there and my habits but the to do list was entirely gone. A frustrating waste of time. Deleting..Version: 3.3.1

Belittling bulliesIf your someone who likes to be bullied and belittled by moderators I would 100% get this app. Belittling someone for posting something positive is disgusting and this app did just that. Sure the interface is good and it helps with building habits and keeping yourself on track but if you have any form of mental health I WOULD NOT download or use this app..Version: 3.4.8

Rude moderatorI did use this app a lot, but as I prefer not to be in a party, I would occasionally go in to the tavern to socialize. Well there is this one moderator who was quite insulting to me for no reason (I simply posted enthusiastically about a new quest, one post, to nobody in particular, and he proceeded to explain to me how boring I was to him!). I did not want to speak in the tavern anymore any time that he was in there, and so eventually stopped using (and paying for) this app..Version: 1.11

Default character is a weird choiceLet me guess I start as a ginger black woman because you want to stick it to the white patriarchy? Because it wouldn’t surprise me if the majority of this apps users are most likely male if not white as well, so this seems like an overt attempt to pander to people that probably don’t even appreciate this overt sociopolitical pandering. Here I am trying to track my life habits and yet immediately I feel like the devs are trying to make a political statement wit that.Version: 3.6.4

Love this app butI use this app every day. It has helped me significantly in having good routines and being productive. However, the new update has essentially broken the app for me. I have to use the web version in order to add tasks properly as the mobile update made it so you cannot add checklist items or due dates. Also, it won’t let you order the items on your lists at all. This is super frustrating and makes it hard to use the way I used to..Version: 3.4

New version won’t openI love this app but the newest updated makes it crash every time I try to open it..Version: 3.3.2

Too complex, I don’t like the game it’s a bit randomI just downloaded this and it seems it would take up my time rather than make me more productive. I don’t like the game or the user interface. The pixelated graphics are very niche for those that like retro games, but i personally don’t like the look of these. Good idea to have it as a game though . I just Dont find it useful … sorry.Version: 3.6.5

“Needs to be given a serious patch”I love Habitica but the importance of the app should be taken more seriously. The bug where task do not appear should be addressed and found a proper solution. But if it is never properly fixed. The side of Habitican Community that relies on the app is just left at the wayside. How can you rely on a list that can lose what you write. “Every time I go to the sections, At some point I’ll have to retype what I am looking for.” Make Habitica worth relying on even more..Version: 2.10

Love the idea, but so buggyThe idea is great but man it is so buggy it can really function. All of my habits for no reason we’re deleted and it wouldn’t let me type them out again..Version: 3.4.2

Great app if it consistently worked. Very money grubbyI used to love this app but recently the bugs and content you must constantly pay for has really irked me. They removed certain chat features in order to work on other parts of the app. I thought this meant they were going to finally fix the high number of bugs. No. All I ever see in their news is pushing out more content for people to purchase..Version: 3.8.1

Great app but the most recent update is glitchyI’ve been using the app for a few weeks and I’ve enjoyed it for the most part but there are some aspects of it that run so slowly that they’re essentially unusable. It would also be helpful to have an expanded FAQ on how to join or start guilds and parties for mobile..Version: 2.10

I love the app but it needs workI find the concept of this app is great and it works to form habits, however I have to endure reoccurring little issues such as habits being jumbled up every time I open the app until I manually refresh them. If this and a few other similarly small yet annoying issues were fixed it would be 5 stars..Version: 2.1.2

Not for iPhone 5 or earlierUnfortunately, it doesn't fit well in an iPhone 5 screen and it looks like alot of the images/graphics don't work either - at least on my phone..Version: 1.8.1

Wonderful in theory, ok executionSo this app is wonderful. Really helped me with habbits i had been struggling with, but as i started getting deeper in and especially with quests and stuff, i noticed a bunch of bugs starting to pop up. Issues with tasks not completing, quests not starting easily, just quality of life stuff. I eventually found another app that has helped me and isn’t buggy, so I then tried to leave the party im in. “Leave quest first” ok, doesn’t sound hard. I went to the quest, but there wasn’t anywhere i could find that allowed me to leave. After some googling and restarting the app, the leave quest button popped up. I clicked leave and like 2 things popped up that didn’t make sense. The quest had already started and one of the pop ups was mentioning that, and the other was confirming if i want to leave. I clicked confirm on both and nothing happened. No notification that i had left, nothing on the party menu that i had left or the quest was in progress. So now im stuck in a quest thats been going on for a good few weeks now, that I can’t leave with a party I can’t abandon If you want this app to track your habbits, go for it. If you’re interested in the quest system, I’d stay away unless you’re really invested.Version: 3.5.2

So much potential, yet so many bugsLoved the concept for this little task app, however I was put off by the really horrible user experience. First, I had trouble logging in, every time I tried to login in via Facebook, the app blacks out. After many tries I finally got in. Every time I tried to rearrange a task order, several tasks will all appear with one name (major bug here), and will only show the correct task names if I switch to another option, from Habbit to dailies etc. I want to use this app so much, yet, I find it so hard with the app constantly crushing on me.Version: 1.13.1

Excellent concept, but too buggy to be reliable. The concept really drives the app. Gamifying my life has been excellent fun and has really helped me evaluate my routines and has helped me get better routines as I get out of a deep depression. So I give it top marks for that. However, in its current state the app is too buggy for use. I had a large amount of sub-tasks that I had written to help me compartmentalise my life in order to make my depression more bearable and my life more fun. When I saved these items which took me at least an hour to write, the app crashed and deleted the item. This was devastating for me, and caused me a great deal of distress. The art style is excellent, but I feel like quite a lot of the cosmetic features being placed behind a gem system is an odd design choice that I don’t understand. If this system was better explained I would have had a better time with this app. Other than that, it’s Phloorless..Version: 3.2.2

Really great app and concept, needs more contentThis app was really helpful when i first started it made doing tasks very rewarding, but now once i’ve got to a higher level, getting exp and levelling up doesn’t feel as rewarding as its sort of become routine and levels don’t really mean as much when you’ve already levelled up many times. And bosses don’t that challenging when you complete all dailies. I feel like the game needs more content and stuff to do/complete/unlock to make it consistently rewarding even at higher levels. Perhaps something like dungeons with exclusive rewards which require a certain amount of tasks to be done in a limited time or in one day to open doors, or a certain number of habits. Maybe some animations and backgrounds could be cool too when you deal damage to a boss, to make the game more stimulating. I really do love the concept and think it can be very successful if you struggle with productivity, but i feel more can be done to gamify it further to make doing tasks just as rewarding as a video game..Version: 3.7

Good but why can’t I login into the Facebook accountWHY CANT I LOGGIN WITH MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT???? This is an otherwise fantastic habit tracker but if you have started out on the app with your Facebook account - you can’t login into the app for some reason. Please help me resolve this and look forward to hearing from the team on this matter.Version: 3.3.1

Really great way to start being motivated but...I started using Habitica a while ago, a good three months at least. It was brilliant for getting rid of bad habits and starting new ones. But it has several flaws. To do lists are great ways to start getting motivated, but they don't keep you there. In the end the time used fiddling about with Habitica became as much of a bad habit as the ones I was trying to reduce or remove completely. Weirdly the gamifying side of Habitica became just as negatively addictive as other mobile games. Sucking into my routine and taking my attention away from a single task I needed to focus on. Time is precious and I've become more and more conscious that apps can be a double edged sword. I'm using a regular calendar method to keep on track more with vastly better results. Sorry Habitica, your app was brilliant to start with but the constant online status and messing about trying to get online just wasn't worth it!.Version: 1.10.1

Buggy, questionable and needs a lot of improvementThe idea of gamifying my every day tasks was exciting to me, I felt like I was the perfect target user for Habitica. Unfortunately the hype died down after using it daily for 7 months. The app is really buggy, some issues preventing me from using some of the most important features. I sent bug reports myself but nothing has improved so far. There are also sync issues with both mobile and web. I heard from other long time users that there haven’t been many substantial improvements in all the years they’ve subscribed to Habitica, so I’m not expecting them to fix these issues any time soon. I also recently learned of the volunteer mods mistreatment from the Habitica staff, and it wasn’t a good thing to hear. It does what it does, but unless the gamification is a big part of what you want, there are better todo apps out there..Version: 3.6.4

Needs a calendar viewI just started using this app, and it’s fun but one thing that really bothers me is no calendar view. I want to be able to see the last days I did a particular habit. This makes the app sort of useless for certain things, like things I do every other day.Version: 3.4.8

New version crashesI’ve had a few problems with the app recently… I can only click on 3 daily’s before it freezes and if I click it’ll open to edit. Except the keyboard won’t load and I can’t back out so I have to restart the app. Now, this newest update won’t open at all! So frustrating!!!.Version: 3.3.2

Apple WatchNeeds an Apple Watch app.Version: 2.8

I can't buy anything in the MarketsAfter the last update and the new pop up format I can’t click on anything in any of Markets. Please fix..Version: 3.4.8

No longer usable or funThis used to be a fun little app with challenges to improve yourself and earn fun digital pets. But the app hasn’t been improved in forever and the usability has really crashed. The staff also went on some weird totalitarian rampage kicking people off the platform for asking questions about improvements. I’m so glad I deleted it because I’ve found a better gamified task app that actually works and is updated regularly..Version: 3.7.2

Feels unfinishedThere are elements of this that I think are great such as the simple gaming and levelling up. However, there are little niggles which really make it feel unfinished. For example, grammatical errors, inability to add URLs to task notes, the fact that a filter/search bar is right where you expect an “add new task” option. Added to this there doesn’t seem a clear way to submit feedback and many parts to the gaming is over complicated and I definitely will never use it. Saying all of this, I can’t find an alternative that has such a basic habit manager interface. It feels easy and almost enjoyable to make and complete a task..Version: 2.6.2

Turn your To-Do list into a gameHabitica makes your To-Do list fun by turning it into a game. Getting more things done in real life helps you to battle bosses, earn rewards and grow the little avatar. The app itself is fairly buggy and could have more features hence only three stars. The features of the actual To-Do list are also less sophisticated than other apps and systems out there. However, it is functional enough to provide the basics and with some customisation can be tailored to suit different needs. The game aspect also helps to provide extra motivation to do a task you're on the fence about. Overall, a pretty neat concept and app. I would recommend giving it a go.Version: 1.3.1

Great idea, terrible execution and supportI love the idea of having an rpg life style. The app itself has great potential, only issue is it is buggy and very clunky. There would be many times where my app freezes or if I am in a party, it would say you can create a new party (my party name is still there...). Additionally I thought ok maybe the next version would be better and decided to support the devs with a purchase of gems. The purchase was successful, only thing is I got no gems... when I spoke with their devs and support it took two whole days for them to say “we are working on a fix”, no timeline, my cash already in their wallet. Until they get their app stable and their customer support to a higher quality I don’t think I’ll be supporting habitica. Additionally for those of you thinking about contributing to habitica to win some free gems, the process either involves you coding for them which is fine minus the extremely slow feedback and long iteration cycles or doing some writing/drawing. For the latter you won’t be awarded for contributing until you earn enough points on another system to be considered. (I have to win virtual currency with another virtual currency???) Just think about it..Version: 1.12.1

Cool buggy appThe app itself is great but will close whenever I try to open it on my phone. Truly is a shame, because the core of it is enjoyable and helps to create habits!.Version: 3.3.3

OkIt’s a good app but a suggestion is to put a widget for the to’dos not only for the dailies.Version: 3.4.2

Help it broke on the latest update/09.15.2023Have been using Habitica for over a year now and I did an update the other day and it fully crashes! All my quests, pets, mounts and even the party I was in. All are GONE!? Help! 😢😢😢 Giving 2 stars cuz the app is good but not the update! Please fix!!.Version: 3.8.1

This app is great......for its approach to encouraging better productivity. However, my biggest gripe with the app at the moment is that it crashes randomly while I'm using it. I'm not exactly sure what is causing the crash, but I have a feeling that it's because the app is not well optimised for iPhone 5 (which is the phone I'm using app on). I would have given this app 4 or 5 stars if not for the crashes that occur randomly when using the app. P.S. If possible, can there be a feature implemented where you can set the minimum or maximum number times the habit is achieved (e.g. the app "Done" has this feature). iPhone 5, iOS 10.3.3.Version: 2.5

Couldn’t set upI tried to set it up but when I clicked ‘finish’ and it came up with a message saying ‘teleporting to Habitica’ it popped up with another message straight after that said ‘cast to date failed for value ... at start date’. So I never actually got to habitica. I liked the idea though..Version: 2.0.6

Great app if there were no errorsI have ADHD and this app was really helpful for me to organize my daily tasks and stay tuned. But after a few days, some major errors occurred. First, it did not reset my dailies everyday. I had no manual way to reset my dailies, and when it did reset itself, the timing was very random as 7pm, 3pm or whenever. Second, I like to see my tasks on my phone home screen, but because of the first error the widget only showed the message “Start your day”. I’ve decided to use a similar app, but if these errors are fixed, I shall come back. I like their party/guild system where I can communicate with other ADHD people, and encourage each other..Version: 3.6.4

Would be 10/10 if...If the subscription worked. I got a month subscription and the gems didn’t credit to my account, neither did the monthly costume pieces. Super disappointing, considering the paid subscription is about cosmetics and not gameplay, and half the stuff wasn’t given to me. When I tried to find the “report a bug” button but it wasn’t there, each time I clicked the button it redirected to a page saying click the “report a bug” button below but it’s not there. The app itself is great so if I can get this issue resolved I’ll gladly change the rating to 5 stars..Version: 3.2

Has become so buggy...That the app is now unusable. I cannot reorganise any of the habits without the slots glitching out sliding wherever they like and then the screen usually freezes. This problem with not being able to reorganise the lists has not been addressed for at least three updates. I'm moving back to Nomie.Version: 2.0.1

Update crashes, can't open itNot much use if I can't even use it! Crashes immediately after opening app, as soon as popup Justin appears.Version: 1.11.2

Decent but health running out v demotivatingNew user. I found app very helpful for that extra nudge and it did click well with my brain. I would say it is not perfect - there could be more satisfying features like animations, and it is generally quite static, so I would give 3.5/4*. However I just logged in and I swear for no reason, the app zeroed my health even though I was logging on to register something positive - I don’t appreciate how this wipes off all your progress (all coins gone, which is stupid I know but it is quite demotivating. I get the point is consistency of good habit and restraint from bad habit; maybe I am using app incorrectly, but appreciate more of a walkthrough or pointers in-app, in that case then).Version: 3.8

Well...I loved this app for a while, it gives you rewards for doing every day things and makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something. But then the gems. Gems are the in game currency you have to purchase with real money (different to gold which you can earn). Having to buy game currency is one of my biggest pet peeves. You can’t convert gold to gems, you can’t sell stuff to get gems, and it’s nearly impossible to get them. The only way to get them is to do “challenges” posted by other users which are difficult to do for 1-2 gems (which is not guaranteed. Some challenges only 1 person wins). Another way is to “contribute” which I have yet to figure out what that means but from the tings I have seen it is minimal pay out as well. I wanted to get all of the pets and unlocked all of the ones you can get through day to say activity, but “quests” take forever and rarely give you eggs to hatch so I have not gotten many of those either. The only way to get new potions (after the core 11) is to buy them with gems. Basically, don’t get this app if you actually want to unlock everything or complete quests and missions. I’ve had this app for over a year and I’m considering deleting because I’ve exhausted everything I can do.Version: 3.2
