Mocha Telnet provides access to a Linux/UNIX Telnet Server. You can connect to a Telnet Server and run applications in a VT220 Terminal window. Exactly as you would, if you were sitting at your system console.

Before buying, please try our free Lite version. Compared to the Lite version, the full version does not require a coffee break (45 seconds) on the Server after 10 minutes use.

✓ It worksWhat’s to say? It’s a straightforward telnet client that makes a usable substitute for the Apple terminal telnet application which APPLE in their (questionable) wisdom decided to not include in High Sierra for some unknown reason. Also does user name/password verified SSH, but not SSH that needs key files. You can build the Gnu telnet client from source using Xcode’s command line tools but unless you’re a developer Xcode takes up a lot of disk space for little purpose. Telnet Lite saves you from the hassle. One thing to watch - if it appears to be sitting for ages and not connecting or doing anything then announces the remote server has timed out, check Telnet’s configured terminal colours for the session. Mine were defaulting to black text on a black background - it took me a while to spot that :-/.JfoifjVersion: 1.2

✓ Exactly what I neededI connect with primarily network gear (routers, switches, firewalls). I needed a solid Telnet / SSH program for Mac. Others I tried had way too many features and variables that for me only made the interface completely confusing. Confusion for things I will never use - no thank you. This app has the handful of things I needed. The ability to customize the Fkeys (or Shift-Fx etc) and font / color settings along with the type of terminal I was emulating (I never had to change it). I used this for a mont to be sure. The Lite version is really so you can try it out. It times out your connection in about 5 or 7 minutes. Most tasks I could accomplish in that time, but eventually for $30 bucks I was certain the paid for version was worth every penny..Buddha billVersion: 1.7
