Pocket Marine for Positive User Reviews

MrAs a fish lover myself I stumbled across this app and not only is it highly professional but it is also detailed in every aspect. Highly recommended..Version: 1.0

ONE POUND FISHI wanted to buy some fish but did not know what fish to buy. I needed a guide. Bought this. Now I know everything..Version: 1.0

Brilliant AppFantastic app, very professional and informative. Worth every penny. A dosing calculator would make this app exceptional..Version: 3.5

I love it!Best app for saltwater fish keepers.Version: 1.2

Well worth the moneyA well designed app with many features that is updated regularly and contains a comprehensive database of marine life. Keep up the great work Liam 👍🏼.Version: 2.7.2

Good but...It’s a good app. Worth the price. I only wish they had a settings page where you could change the dark background to white with black type. It’s difficult to read in some lighting conditions..Version: 2.9

Cracking appI genuinely love the app, recently started my first ever salt tank!!!! Well done to me, but a huge he well done to you this app has helped me loads with keeping track of my tests maintenance and the added feature about coral/inverts/fish needs is amazing!!!! I’m not sure if your open for suggestions but I do have once, maybe with the tests it could have something that shows what’s changed between your recent test and the last test you did, like a little bar underneath saying what changed as it’s a little confusing flicking back and forth, I maybe talking crap lol just thought it would help a tonne with quickly seeing what’s changed with the parameters without the need for flicking back and forth but other than that I love the app man it’s amazing!!!!!.Version: 2.3

Very unhappy recentlyThe app keeps crashing when I go under clean up crew and or the soft coral categories. Please look in to this issue. Thank you, other than that it is a great tool for me. Still not working for clean up crew! 1-30-20.Version: 3.3

Great appI really enjoy the app. It helps keep track of testing and maintenance. It also provides a lot of information in regards to species. I would like to see more categories on the calculator such as ppm to dkh or NO3- to NO3. Little things like that would help so that the app can be used for any test or parameter measurement. I also think it would bring a little more content to some of the thinner features in the app..Version: 2.8

Nice app need updateReally nice app to keep track of your marine tank. I think it can do with an update to include more corals and fish to their library and some sort of indication on parameters of the tank to show optimum safe levels..Version: 4.5

The app I've been looking for thanks!Amazing app love the design very easy to use and lots of information I would recommend this app!.Version: 1.2

BucksburnLot of useful information.Version: 2.9.1

Good appGreat well designed app but please create a log in so you can sync data between devices.Version: 5.2.3

Nice AppReally cool app very well integrated, simple to use but gives scope for everything you need to track.Version: 5.3

Could use an update with corals & fishWish it had more species of fish and corals, some info seems outdated..Version: 2.2

Add wish list!Love the app, but hoping creators will add a wish list! I want to be able to favorite fish..Version: 3.7

Great app for reef/marine enthusiastsThis app is a great resource for new refers like myself. A great add to this would be to be able to add fish etc to an aquarium directly from the encyclopedia entry..Version: 5.2.3

Worth it!Really great app to help log, monitor, create a critters diary, and several other parameters of your saltwater system all in one place!.Version: 5.4.2

Great App still needs some improvementsThis is an awesome app! It tracks just about anything you would need or want to track. There are some improvements that would push this over the 4 stars -Test Diary:Allow users to set the “preview tiles” in the testing diary as a default view for them. I don’t test all the app’s’ default parameters and am forced to manually configure what I want to see as a “quick view” every time I enter test results - Test diary: graph is great. However it would be great to see multiple parameters as an overlay of each other to get a better view of balance. For example I’d like to see PO4 and NO3 to see how they correlate with each other in one graphic view. It would also be nice to have the ability for us to export to an excel spreadsheet as well Habitant diary: it would be awesome if we could enter the fish store’s name and info in our user database so when we do add new livestock, the “where purchased from” can be a drop down for frequently used shops instead of manually entering in info with different variances for the same store. Other than that, this is an awesome app. Thanks for making it!.Version: 5.4.2

MarineExcellent app has helped me a lot I would recommend it to anyone who needs a help in hand with anything marine.Version: 5.1

Needs more fish species info... and needs a little editing. The image for the Picasso trigger is incorrect. Would love to have more species in the information area. Like: Doryrhamphus excisus, strawberry crab, Monodactylus argenteus, Blue Ribboned Demoiselle, Halloween hermit crab... etc Also it would be nice to be able to see the full extent of the notes input in the inhabitants diary. And have the data be backed up some how in case of a phone crash (caused by dropping it in the tank accidentally.).Version: 2.9.1

It is ok ... but solid value for moneyI think it works ok and seems to track the info well I wish the graphing showed the target range so I knew If I was in or out of range And the directory of coral is not as good as I thought.Version: 3.5

Takes all the stress out of keeping a reef tank everything’s to handGreat app I bought today first of all I contacted Liam to ask a question he replied very fast and a nice honest chap great value for money the app is very well designed and easy to use great job Liam !!!!!.Version: 2.9.1

Good app for reef keepersGreat app, wasn’t a fan of some of the recent changes to the test menu where you select the parameters, other than that great. Would be good to add a camera Coral id function where you view a coral through the camera and it identifies it with an id, just a suggestion for the future....Version: 5.1

FantasticBrilliant app from some one starting to to a pro it’s just brill.. Credit to the maker and I would give it ten out of ten… Happy reefing.Version: 5.4.2

Amazing app!Great app, very interactive, looking forward to more updates!.Version: 3.5

Great for record keeping! This app has been fantastic for keeping all of my test results! Great UI and simple to use. Two suggestions from me, currently you can edit an individual dates results to reorder them but I’d like to be able to make the re-order happen across all of my results. Even using haptics to holds and drag to re-order would be better than individual scroll down menus. Secondly, the graphs for results have the latest results on the left running with the oldest to the right. Every graph and table we read runs left to right with the current result being on the right. Thanks and keep up the great work and updates!.Version: 3.8

Please add a sync featureReally great app, I just wish I was able to sync with my phone and iPad..Version: 5.2.3

Brilliant app!A great app for us hobbyists. Always a bit skeptical with these kind of apps just being money grabbers but love being able to have this information rather than a book, or worse trusting a money grabbing shop assistants advise. Look forward to future updates..Version: 1.2

Love this appVery good app for keeping track of your water parameter tests 👍.Version: 4.5

Need some help !!How to change liter and temperature to gallon and Fahrenheit in the details page. I see an image in your website about us page where the blue tang picture shows in gallons and Fahrenheit but I don’t see an option in the app to change this setting. Excellent work on the app overall. Brilliant Design!!.Version: 5.3.1

Fantastic app with some minor issuesFirst of all, I just want to say this is the best app I have found for tracking parameters as well as keeping information on all of my tanks. One of the biggest issues I found with other apps is that they only let you have one or maybe two aquariums able to be stored or if you have more they make you pay. As we aquarists know we typically have at least two, probably more tanks, so this app caters to us. The first issue I have with this app is probably something they could fix and it’s the default parameters that appear when you go to log them. Only nine parameters are showing at any one time and if you want to see other ones, you need to change which ones appear. It’s unfortunate that ammonia and nitrite are set to default to appear since most people don’t commonly check them. Every time I want to check/see my phosphate levels I need to go under the visibility filter and swap out either the ammonia or nitrite and then select phosphate in its place. Kind of annoying because it’s something I have to do multiple times a week. If they let us change the default parameters, this issue would be solved. The only other minor complaint I have is under the databank of fish and corals sometimes they don’t have what I’m looking for. They just need to have an update where they include more fish, coral, and invertebrates. Overall, the app is pretty fantastic and worth the minor charge for it. I never pay for apps, but this is one that I am glad I purchased..Version: 5.4.2

Need option to change C to F in tempSo far the app looks great, however I can’t find a way to display the temp in F instead of C..Version: 5.4.2

Beautiful AppI actually love this app and the look is so much more modern and friendly than other alternatives. I just wish so badly I could share and access the data across multiple devices. When I test the tank I want my boyfriend to see results on his phone and when he tests I want those records too. I don’t know why but this is something all of the best thank management apps seem to be missing. I mean, it’s 2023 people… love the app though..Version: 5.4.2

AMAZING!This is an amazing app, clean Interface, sharp, full of information and very helpful! Well worth the price! This app is brilliant!!! Highly recommended!.Version: 1.2

Awesome appCrashes on me when I got to soft corals.Version: 3.1

Worth every pennyGreat app, very helpful as a beginner in marine side of things. All I would say would is it would be a bonus if there was a way to sync it between a couple of devices or do a log in for the diary etc as I have it on my iphone and iPad and to update the list of what I have in the tank has to be done on each separately but that’s something that maybe in the future?...Version: 2.9.1

Everything you need to knowGreat app could not want more they have thought of everything you need - best money I have ever spent !.Version: 5.2.2

Great tracking appLove how easy it is to track my levels..Version: 2.9.1

Best appIm fairly new to marine ( about a year in ) and i wish i found this app earlier i even recommended it to my lfs, the only thing i Dont like is setting up your tank info and its missing a few things but other than that its incredible couldn't be happier.Version: 5.2.2

Love it 😍Great app,works well.just wish it had a dosing calculator..Version: 2.9.1

Great resourceThe only downside is lack of a graph to plot water parameters over time, otherwise fantastic App. Well done..Version: 2.5

Great AppA lot of good info!.Version: 2.7.3

No litres. In Europe we usually measure water volume in litres not gallons. It would be good to be able to get tank volume in litres as well. But just a small niggle with what seems like a good app from what I have seen so far..Version: 2.3

Amazing but disappointedAbsolutely awesome app. Only disappointed because I wanted to create an app with very similar information but as this is so awesome no need!.Version: 3.5

Very GoodThe app is very helpful but when I click on the soft corals tab the app crashes. Edit: The developers were very helpful in helping me fix the issue and now the app is fully functional. This app is a must have in terms of keeping track of your reef..Version: 3.3

OK App - Needs Detailed ImprovementsThe app in general is helpful. It’s worth the $3 or whatever it is. However, it has many small annoying bugs throughout. When you enter a maintenance note, the dates always enter in a random order (sometimes mo/day/year, sometimes day/month/year) sometimes year/day/month), so your notes are never sorted correctly. Tank parameters are sometimes a mess: missing temperatures to select from, and it colors parameters such as a pH of 8.2 red (as in bad) and not green (ok) as it should be..Version: 2.7.5

Love this app. This app has made it easier for me to manage my reef. I hope they add some more features like being able to add all your tank and inverts and then select something new to add. It would show any issues with any inhabitants I have more suggestions if the dev wants them! Absolutely love the app!.Version: 2.8

Yesssssssssss!Honestly I don’t have anything Major to complain about. The only thing I can say is it automatically assumes that you have a sump..Version: 5.4.2

Great App!Great app all round generally. I would love for you to put the most recent results first when looking at the graph illustrations of test results, rather than having to scroll to the end. Also whilst I appreciate the amount of new increments you’ve recently introduced I’d imagine a lot of reefers don’t need to record to that accuracy I.e alkalinity could just be in increments of 1 instead of .1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9 etc sometimes less is more in my opinion. Keep up the good work!.Version: 4.9

Worth the money!! It’s perfectThis app does everything. It is so easy to keep track of it all. Worth every cent! Definitely needs to be checked out..Version: 2.8

Great app. Used for over a yearIdeal for reef aquarium hobbyists. The testing diary is really the only feature I use but it’s great at what I need it for. I would only have one big request from the developer - let us set the default previewed parameters so it’s the same every time. I never test ammonia and nitrite and temp is handle by my controller. I want to make the default NO3, PO4, dKH, and second row Calc, mag, pH..Version: 5.4.2

Great little appThis is so useful for a new marine aquarium keeper. It looks great, has a good interface for recording water test results and some helpful information about fish and invertebrates etc which I even used whilst in the local fish shop, so I could see which would be good for a novice and what to avoid. I think it was well worth the money. I’m sure it could be better for expert fish keepers, but it’s great for me right now..Version: 2.9.1

All my tanks in one appHave used this app to help manage and monitor maintenance, testing and dosing in all my tanks. Very easy to use, cannot fault anything. Well developed app, looking forward to future updates. Well done Liam!.Version: 5.2.3

Love it but would like another featureI love this app it’s very useful for many reason, but one feature I think would fit nicely would be like an average price of the specimen..Version: 4.5

Excellent! This app is very handy for recording your maintenance history including water changes and a plethora of water quality tests performed. Good basic info on a variety of livestock available to the hobby with detailed information that is well suited for the novice or intermediate reefer...Great for the low tech hobbyist. It seems the developers have a very solid vision for this sweet little app. They are actively updating it regularly and so I cannot wait for full maturity! Thanks..Version: 2.4.3

Nice AppI really like this app. Has a lot of information on hand about different Inhabitance. It would be nice if we could turn off some test if you don’t use them so they don’t show up when you email. It would also be nice to be able to sync between multiple devices. Auto tank calculations would be a nice additional feature..Version: 3.9

Great ToolWish there was a way to share data between devices. Other than that it is a great tool to keep track of measurements and tasks..Version: 5.4.2

Love it, but have a questionLove this app and have been using since restarting (2 months) from a farrow tank of 2 years. Have been using the app to document tests, list fish wish list, and other important research. Can I sink my phone and iPad version? UPDATE: Quick response from developer that there is a plan to allow sincing between devices in the near future. Very satisfied here..Version: 3.5

GreatGreat app.Version: 2.9.1

Visually very goodJust downloaded this and it is a really nice app to use and navigate around, I might be making early stage misuse, but sometimes the list of fish in the encyclopaedia does not match say the available list in the nano list as could not see firefish in both when looking. Would be nice if once tank and stock etc loaded in one device (IPad) would load over to IPhone without having to type out again. Not got to loading test parameters yet, but guess these will not be shared via cloud or similar between devices. But overall nice👍.Version: 4.7

This is the best!!!Best app for your marine tank!!! It has everything you need store all your tank information in one place!! No need for a book to write it all down, this app has it all!.Version: 5.4.2
