✓ Not quite there but great none the less.Having found the app I signed in and promptly order a drink. While looking through the menu on my phone I found that burger and drink prices didn’t initially show which was confusing. I was later told by the manager it would show up at the end. But at this time I had already ordered food from the bar. The lack of a comments box is greatly frustrating as a Simple request of no chipotle mayo and to swap with only a bbq sauce could not be facilitated. Hence ordering at the bar. This is a fundamental floor of making customers customise there food. I can imagine many people would like to possibly request no salad in their burger etc. With this in mind I have scored it a 4 at this time..Gregory_jamesVersion: 1.4.1

✓ Burning timeI needed somewhere comfortable away from the bustle of Victoria Station and spotted Wetherspoon on the first floor accessed by its own escalator. I noticed an ad on the back of their magazine at the table that I could download their app and order and pay at my table. This was a relief because I have way too much luggage to be dragging it all through the restaurant and no way I was leaving at a table outside on the balcony. I downloaded the App on free wifi, ordered and paid for a beer and a snack and they turned up within minutes. All good I’d say!.LiteyorkVersion: 1.13.0

✗ Kitchen Staff Can’t Even Reheat A Meal!As usual there is too much ice in the drinks, which is a recurrence at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken wings which were great. They came nice and hot with a lovely sauce to accompany it. However I was disappointed when my main meal came out and was only was stone cold. The meal had clearly been cooked left sitting and reheated in a microwave. I find it laughable that the kitchen staff were unable to reheat a meal adequately in a microwave despite this being a practice no kitchen should partake in. Sadly this happens all too often at this establishment. I unfortunately not for the first time have received dirty cutlery and plates. The staff got the benefit of the doubt from me the last time this happened. However, this was the final straw. The compensation I was offered was a replacement of my meal which I declined as it was so bad that it firmly put me off my food. They then tried to offer me a free pudding which I found laughable as I hadn’t even managed my main meal so why on earth would I want a pudding? The Golden Acorn in recent years has gone from a nice family friendly environment to go and get some nice pub grub. However it is no longer a place that people want to frequent for food as compared to other restaurants in the JD Witherspoon’s franchise this ranks amongst the lowest for food and drinks..Worst Meal Ever!Version: 1.15.0
