Smart location still broken plus privacy issueUPDATE - I’ve also just discovered that in addition to smart location still turning itself off, it also keeps automatically turning on the App Analytics option. So make sure you keep unchecking that option multiple times a day if you don’t want your personal analytics data sent to Logitech. Their change log is right in that this update seemingly fixes the login issues. But smart location is still turning itself off just as frequently as when this whole thing broke back in the June update. Makes smart location still mostly useless. Have tried logging out of all devices and the web, deleting the app, reinstalling. Also has an annoying feature where the list of devices for smart location keeps growing with multiple copies of the same devices. How much longer is this app going to stay broken? It used to be really good prior to June..Version: 3.5.3

Epic FailureI’m extremely impressed at A) how horribly you’ve bumbled this last update and B) how slow you are to react to the problem you’ve created. I have 4 cameras which have been rendered useless. If you don’t fix what you’ve broken quickly, I’ll be demanding a refund. Two stars = 5 stars (my previous rating) plus -3 stars (my new rating). Switched to a better cameraUpdate 23 may 2017: camera has turned into utter garbage. Went down a week ago and has not worked since. Tried resetting it back to factory default & setting up again but nothing works. First it says the cloud servers were down. Then it's trying to tell me I don't have an internet connection when I clearly do. Lowering my rating to 1 star. Do yourself a favor and get a different camera. This is not built to last. Update 22 December: With every update the app seems to get worse and worse. My camera now goes offline for no reason at least 5 times a day. Downloading of clips is still broken. If you are contemplating buying this camera don't do it. I only still use it because I doubt I'd be able to resell it for any money. Been a logi circle owner for about a year. I just recently bought an arlo q camera to replace it and I gotta say I couldn't be happier. Wish I just would've got it from the get-go. 7 days of free recording vs the logi circles 24 hours. It's a no brainer. Plus it's much more customizable and supports IFTTT. Logi circle works well but there's just better options out there with more features. The logi circle is definitely not worth the $200 I spent on it..Version: 2.3

Hangs too oftenI like the Logi Circle camera but the software is a bit of a let down. It frequently freezes or hangs (with the rotating waiting icon like you see on streamed videos). Also seems to drop WiFi and go offline and then come back. Exiting the app and restarting app usually works. Nice feature is that the app can not only view live but also a "day brief" which shows the activity of the day (but not all the time when nothing was happening). Have yet to play with how to get photos and videos from the Logi cloud to save somewhere else. There seems to be a premium version of the Logi cloud service but I have not received any email promoting this and so I am just using the free basic service..Version: 2.0.1

Crap appNo matter what I try the app won’t move past connect to wifi screen… it will not connect to Wi-Fi no matter what I do..Version: 3.5.4

What is going on?!Following the latest update to the app, it continually logs me out. There is no monitoring at this point. If the cameras trigger an event, you constantly first have go through the entire log in and validation process before you can view the cameras! I’m assuming this is a new method of forcing users to pay for the monitoring service instead of the standalone user camera monitoring. After purchasing several cameras I now have to start over and will be tearing them out and replacing. Complete waste of money and time. UPDATE: Now I can’t even log into the app to view the cameras. Opening the app requires a log in. After logging in, the app restores to the section asking to log in again. This just repeats and does not allow actual log in. I cannot describe the disappointment and total anger that I spent so much money and time on these cameras. Avoid and try anything but these!.Version: 3.5

Good start but needs some workA must have app if you’re using a Logi Circle camera. I have the Logi Circle2 and love the camera. I also like it does’t broadcast 24/7 and only records when there is movement. That saves on internet usage. The app needs some work though. The live feed gets frozen if you are running the app in the background and then open it again. You have to force close the app and then reopen EVERYTIME you open the app. The other issue is with the Smart Notifications. You are only able to geofence your phone and not multiple phones using the same account. If I’m home I won’t get notifications of movement which is nice and expected of any camera being used in 2018. But if I’m gone and my wife is home with her phone connected to the camera I will get notifications of movement. The Nest camera and app allows multiple phones to be synced. That way everyone only gets notifications if ALL phones are not within the geofence area. If they add this functionality and improve the app stabilization I would give this 5 stars and tell everyone I know to buy one of these..Version: 3.1.4

Great start - but buggy and lacks featuresVery clean and simple user interface. On the right track but need to fix bugs such as once you zoom in, the app becomes locked and you cannot zoom out or access any of the UI controls. Need ability to modify settings such a motion detection sensitivity and zones, as well as IR sensitivity and being able to manual force the IR on..Version: 2.0.1

Did the developers test this?!After the update, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Same old, same old. Stuck in the annoying SSO loop and have to manually sign in often. Activity notification snapshot thumbnails only show up for a brief period after login. I was planning to buy more cameras to expand my home security. Needs ImprovementsPROS: with the subscription, you can create up to five zones, via completely customizable shapes. This was perfect for me, as I live on a very busy street and need to focus on areas on our property, vs the usual busy traffic and pedestrians. CONS: although the zones have helped reduce the noise and bombarding of notifications, I’m still getting “likely detected” notifications for zones (even though I specifically only selected the zones for notifications, not outside zone activity). This means that motion is detected near, but NOT INSIDE the zones and is notified still. What is the point of the zone feature I am paying for then??? I have a bus stop and busy side walk in front of my home so there will always be “person/motion likely detected” notifications clogging my phone. It’s very difficult to discern if it is a true threat or not. ^ Please fix or provide a toggle option for this!.Version: 3.4.2

Abysmal AppWhat has happened to this app!!! It is horrendously crap and I mean crap! It used to be very good but as other reviewers have commented the log in screen has changed so much now that you are redirected to safari to log in and a secure account log in page and then back to open this page in the logi circle app…it doesn’t work!! I’m going round in circles. I just want to see the camera but can’t because of their useless changes! It has made the cameras useless. If you recently purchased their camera products….take them back. Increased security - terrible usability. Face ID???The idea of improving security of the App is definitely a step in the right direction. However, the execution of these changes is appalling. Getting into the App with the pop ups and jumping between Safari and the App takes for ever and frequently fails meaning multiple attempts are needed before you can see anything. Being unable to quickly access security cameras defeats the whole purpose of having them! Why not simply use Face / Touch ID on the App and avoid pop ups to Safari like many other secure Apps do?.Version: 3.5

Recent update made the camera uselessThis camera has never been great to be fair, but the recent update has managed to made it worse. They have introduced what they classed as a “new way to login” that basically forces you to click a button, visit the website, login from the website, click another button and return to the app every single time you try to launch the app. I cannot believe someone has actually been paid to introduce this on purpose! If you need to see an event, it will take ages before you can actually do so. This means that if you rely on this camera to protect your home, you better switch to a different brand! Incompetent software designIt’s pretty obvious this company doesn’t care about your issues, there are so many reviews trashing their recent updates and they don’t even respond, we should be able to sue companies that behave like they are accountable to no one. Worse home camera appWould say my circle camera has only got worse over the years, with the latest update 75% of the time I’m not able to even open the app as get directed and stuck on their website. To me it seems as these cameras don’t have micro sd cards lots of people must be using the free cloud storage which is costing them money, and they are actively trying drive people away. I also have YI cameras, which are much faster and more responsive, have a lot more features and loads cheaper! Having paid £150 for one circle camera I’m very disappointed. Last update broke the night vision!I'm glad to see that Logitech is continually making updates and adding features. However the last firmware update has cause the cameras night vision to turn on and off repeatedly in a completely dark room. We use the cam as a baby monitor, but currently we had to shut off the night vision because it would turn off about 5-10 secs after it would turn on; and repeat. Each time making a clicking noise in the room. The camera hangs from the wall above the crib, just as it did before the update. I've tried rebooting and even a full reset with re-adding it to the account. Nothing changed. So it must be your update and it's probably server side as I believe that's how you control turning on the cameras night vision. It's not a decision the camera itself makes. Please fix it, we want to like the camera again. Lastly, I want to say thank you for removing the 3 min timeout that rendered the cam useless as a baby monitor..Version: 1.6

These stars go to support and hardwareDo yourself a favour and convert your cameras to HomeKit Secure Video. The Logi app is broken and unfortunately, does not appear to be getting the attention it requires. Smart Location constantly fails and makes the cameras either really annoying or almost useless. At the least, the app is great for the conversion process. The Logi support team has been fantastic to deal with and have been communicative and empathetic. If it were not for them, this review would have a much different tone. I’ve had the cameras for years and they are still just as great as they were on Day 1. I’m happy the Home app is able to support the great hardware. UPDATE (03/22): I have been using the Circle 2 cameras for about two months on HomeKit Secure Video and I would highly recommend switching to HomeKit Secure Video if you have an iCloud+ plan. It’s nice having the cameras functioning reliably and consistently again..Version: 3.5.3

Inadequate App designJust bought 4 of the these cameras because of their design and they fit most of needs. App however is very in thoughtfully created. It's does not have neat features that Nest or Arlo provides. To begin with it does not allow you to turn it on or off by certain schedule. I have to turn it on and off if I don't want to use it when I am home. A simply idea that circle tech team just missed. For all four cameras I have to apply the same settings individually. It would be nice to be able to control all cameras in the system through one interface. Multi camera pan randomly picks a camera that will have largest view. I should be able to select what camera gets the largest view. More over the viewing pan is very poorly designed. Overall, I am giving it one star because the app lacks basic functions. Cannot open or delete appI have an iPhone 6s Plus with IOS 14.2 with the updated Logitech Circle 2 app. I am unable to open the app even after shutting my phone off and then rebooting. I am also unable to erase this app from my iPhone. I’ve tried to erase it from the home screen it has an XE press it it disappears but it’s not deleted. When I go to the App Store to download it has the open indicating that it never deleted in the first place. I’ve tried to delete it from my list of purchased apps end it only gives me the option to hide not to delete. I’ve also tried to delete it from going to settings general to iPhone storage and then scrolling down to the app tapping it and hitting delete and confirming delete. It still will not delete. I’ve even gone to settings then to screen time then to add content and restrictions and made sure that I enable the delete app option. So bottom line this app is totally useless unless I can fix this. The camera cost me $150 and I cannot use it since my phone updated to 14.2 iOS. I would love it if logitech would read this and contact me to help me fix this..Version: 3.4.5

Not satisfiedNever had an issue with this camera or app and then we added a second camera. 1 year and 1month later the second camera won’t connect and Logitech won’t do anything because it’s over a year. Not working againSad to see app is not working again, this has happened in the past but then picks up again. Issue is that recordings do not download. Was Great, Now Beware!A great app which worked with their cameras. I had to replace a camera recently and the new ones do not work with this app. You need an Apple Home Hub or similar system. Version 3.5 is not usableSince the version 3.5 update I am stuck in a loop of being asked for my log in details. Safari then opens and asks for my log in details. The app then opens and asks again for my log in details. The whole process happens all over again in an endless infinite loop. Please help me. My security cameras are now rendered useless because version 3.5 takes me round in circles asking for my log in details. Logitech Circle AppFor years this and many Logitech cameras has been my go-to system for lightweight but essential monitoring of properties. With others in the community, we have identified miscreants to the authorities on three occasions. Since the 2021 app upgrade which sends me off to an “I.D” page it has become useless. The auto re-direct back to the circle app doesn’t work, and the “press here” button for use expressly when this happens reverts you back to the same frustrating flip-flop between the app and the ID page. Hopeless. What on Earth were Logitech thinking? I now look stupid to all the folks to whom I’ve recommended this system. They’ve just lost another long standing user/customer..Version: 3.5.2

Can’t add Circle ViewI just bought a Circle View as I own a Circle and Circle 2. I needed another camera and the View is the only one the sell now. However, you can’t add it in this app, only Apple Home. That works but only one person can see it unless you buy a HomePod or Apple TV. This is dumb, the other cameras works without a hub and this one costs more and now I have to spend additional £100-£300 to get it working. I don't even want a HomePod because the house is full of Sonos. Why can’t they just let me add it to the app?.Version: 3.5.4

What the hell happened!We bought the Logo Circle2 camera about 3 years ago for our whelping room for when we have a litter of puppies. It was perfect. It did absolutely everything we wanted and was easy to use. We had it on our phones, computers (both PC and Mac),loved the live streaming from anywhere…this was just the perfect camera and we were 100% satisfied. We hadn’t used it for two years and then recently tried to login and get it up and running again and nothing works! The camera is on but we can’t login or connect on any device we installed the app on. The system is now useless and we have no choice but to now go and try and buy another camera system. What a waste of money! I am so disappointed and feel so ripped off. If there is a simple solution here please let us know now otherwise you can be sure we will NEVER buy another Logitech product ever again. From 100% satisfied to zero stars just like that. Infinite login loopI can’t even access the camera anymore! Always redirected to the login page, and nothing ever happens. This is is planned obsolescence at its finest. It’s so bad that it HAS to be intentional at this point! Update has ruined the app!This app was always amazing. Never had any issues. Now this update has completely ruined everything about it. Once was usable, now a piece of junkI assume the intention behind the latest upgrade was to ensure that people stop using the Circle series of cameras and upgrade their systems instead, because the new upgrade has rendered the app virtually unusable. Start the app, get switched to browser for authentication, enter user name and password, get switched to Captcha for verification, click on some grainy out of focus images and told to identify the ones with bridges in, get switched to app to be told that you got the Captcha questions wrong, is just insanely frustrating. I will be replacing the cameras if only to get away from this app, but it will 100% not be to Logitech given that their disdain for their customers is this profound. If the message doesn’t come through, I don’t have a lot of love for this app….Version: 3.5.2

So so as a baby monitorThe quality of the video is much better than our previous withings baby monitor. And we like the way this app presents various movement throughout the day in case we have a need to peek back. The camera seems to need updates all the time, and every time it does, the app gets confused about the state of settings on the camera. I have to plan on 10 or 15 minutes to fiddle with it to get the LED setting to go off again after firmware updates because the app seems to get confused about the camera’s view of the setting every time. If it happen d rarely I could live with it, but I’ve only had the camera for a month and a half and I’m sure I’ve had to do it 4 times....Version: 3.1.1

Beyond a joke!Ok guys you’ve had weeks to fix this problem and still no resolution in sight. It’s clearly affecting a massive proportion of your customer base (possibly all - I can see no recent ratings > 1 star). I’ve tried everything you have suggested (please don’t go through the routine of asking me whether I have the latest version, cleared cache, logged out of account etc). I am still no closer to being able to use the camera. Time to pull the plug on this version and revert to the most recent one that works. People can’t and won’t continue to put up with this. If people are using your cameras for security and they can’t rely on them they will switch away. The money they have wasted on your cameras will leave a very bitter taste..Version: 3.5.2

AbandonwareOur Logitech cameras have had nothing but problems, and now don’t work at all. The Logi app has also had nothing but problems and now doesn’t work either. Latest update ruined the appSince single sign on has been implemented the app can no longer track location in the background to enable the camera when you are out of radius. This is because the single sign on session is not long enough for this feature to work. It should be authenticated using oauth so the app can work in the background and exchange access tokens with the api only when required making it look like the app is always logged in. Not sure what this weird auth implementation is but it does not work..Version: 3.5.2

What is happening?We have had two of these cameras for a couple of years. Given up on one as it keeps stopping working & has to be reset all the time. The other one is ok but can miss a lot of action. You see someone come in but not leave! My biggest issue is why does it keep logging us out & then saying there is a Not know error with log in. This happened twice in the last 2 months meaning we are without the camera for 48 hours or so. Tried everything but then suddenly it comes back. Useless!I’ve had this camera for approx 3-years, and until recently it worked perfectly. I’ve had the same issues as others where it asks for login credentials every time I open it but I was still getting the alerts. Now though, no alerts at all. I try to log in and it takes me in a cycle of the home page, back to the app, home page - back to the app. So no alerts and unable to log in. No error message either! The app is up to date, so is my iPhone. So USELESS is the only appropriate word to use. I’ve recently bought a TAPO camera (£30) for my elderly mum and that works brilliantly. This app is garbageUsing an iPhone 12 mini. Every time I try to open the app I’m prompted to sign in which I have to finish in a web browser. I already have one of their cameras connected to HomeKit but the app couldn’t find it, then signs me out. Too many things push to the browser, What’s the point? Good app and can but Insecure log inI have a circle 2 wired camera which is great and the easy app if good to. However the log in is a simple password protected screen. There is no option to activate 2 step or log in alerts so if it’s hacked you’d never know. Most of the competitors have this feature. When I emails them they said they don’t have this feature and don’t plan on it. Not good enough in today’s market for a company as big as they are. Still needs fixingThis app needs to be fixed, the update messed it up and that was over a month ago! It worked great before the updated. Now, signing-in is not even seamless. It takes you through “cycles”, back to the website just to sign, sometimes it’s doesn’t even work. Three devices in the household use to have access to this app and now only one is able to sign in (we tried signing in at different times, different internet connection, and the app will not allow access). The moment you need it to work and it doesn’t, it’s stressful (especially when you are away from home)! Too much money was spent on this equipment and now it has this flaw. I will be asking for a refund if this is not fixed. And I will not be looking into Logi again for a replacement. As a reminder, this app was rated 5 stars before this update, now it is down to 1. A mediocre app ruined!The app has always had it flaws, the zones were seemingly useless as I get notifications on activity outside of the zones, the bandwidth at Logitech’s end was too pitiful to allow sensible streaming resolution and the app lacked the ability for fast scrolling, with thumbnails taking too long to load. Using App Breaks HomeKit FunctionalityI purchased this camera because of its compatibility with HomeKit. After using the camera for a day with HomeKit only (and no issues) I downloaded the App to tweak some settings. Hours later I opened the Home App and noticed that the feed would not load, opened the Logi Circle App and the feed was working in App. I changed the settings back to default in the Logi Circle App to see if one of my changes had caused the issue but that didn’t fix it. I unpaired the camera from the Logi Circle App and HomeKit then paired it back for a week and it worked all week. I then paired the camera back to the Logi Circle App and within hours the feed in the Home App was no longer working. This App breaks the camera’s HomeKit compatibility. I would not recommend this camera if you want to use it with HomeKit and the Logi Circle App, it only works with one or the other. Hopefully Logitech will fix this, if not I will be returning the camera and deleting the App..Version: 3.1.2

AWFULI’ve tried logging in 35 times without success. With a rash of recent car thefts and break-ins in my neighborhood I’d like to be able to see what set the alert off and not spend 10 minutes attempting to log in. This used to be a good set up but since the new update it’s absolutely awful and there’s no point in having it if I can’t actually see what is setting the alert off. Following up after several “remove the app and reinstall” chats with support. It’s still AWFUL. Nothing has changed, I still have to log in and that takes me to another page which doesn’t log me in, and I do this 15-20 times before I give up. Latest request from support was to go to settings in the Logi circle app, go to help and submit a diagnostics report. Garbage app for a great camera integrated with HomeKitI really am surprised that such a good camera that integrates so well at home kit would have such a garbage app for use outside of the HomeKit integration. Worst update everSo, the first update in nearly two years and you’re going to wish they hadn’t bothered. Instead of tapping on the icon and seeing your camera feed, you are now met with a confirmation page where you can opt out of email contact or select continue. But once you do continue, it just removes the pop up and you then have to tap log in. This activates another pop up saying you’ll be taken to a secure log in. Click ok and you jump to another page where you sign in with your credentials (on first use only). This activates another pop up which asks if you want to open in the original page (unbelievable, I know). Then you’re back to the first page. Now if this is your first time, you’ll see your cameras. But, if not, you’re stuck on this log in page and you can’t see any cameras! I’ve deleted the app and downloaded again but it still won’t work. And it throws an error when you leave your house, saying smart location failed to update the service with your device location, despite setting it up again after re-installing. So no way of seeing your cameras now. Unless you use a PC..Version: 3.5

Why am I getting 50 notifications a minute?We use this as a dog camera, and it's great. Yesterday, I left work in the middle of the day to go untangle my puppy, who had chewed up her towel and gotten the strings wrapped around her neck. So it's a handy little device. But this new app update is complete garbage. The constant notifications are driving me insane. It's literally sending me notifications at least once a minute, but they've been totally still and napping for hours. Alert me when there's significant activity; not when the dogs are simply breathing. I don't want to change the settings; because if they're actually doing something (like chewing), I want to be alerted that moment, so I can tell them to stop. And the "person detected" feature is both creepy and inaccurate. Not a happy camper..Version: 2.1

Not fit for purposeIn this app there is a screen where you enter your WiFi name and password in order to connect the camera to your network. You are given about two seconds to do this before the app automatically moves on to the next setup screen. This is impossible, so my camera is useless. Time to replace…Currently in the process of replacing a number of Logi Circle cameras thanks to this totally frustrating, relatively useless app. Used to be quite good, now defeats the entire point of security cameras; it would be an equally useless burglar who was around long enough to get spotted on them! By the time you’ve opened the app, been switched to Safari to log in, entered your email, entered your password, selected various pics of planes, trains or automobiles numerous times then returned to the app which is still on the log-in screen, force-quit the app and reopened it hoping to view the camera any thief, vandal or ne’er-do-well would be long gone! Perhaps a marketing ploy to force us all into upgrading to Logitech Circle View cameras? No longer working with first circle deviceI’ve changed my router so did wifi password and network name. After a couple of months got myself to reconnect my circle using iPhone 6s but unsuccessfully. I reset my circle through a pin hole, it’s flashing blue but the new app is complaining about bluetooth not being turned on when it is. I’ve removed my old camera but still no joy and won’t add a new one so it’s a useless device now :( Edit: had an iPhone 4s with older version and was able to add the camera so now can access it on both 4s and 6s. Still, if not the other phone would not be able to set it up on 6s..Version: 3.1.1

Camera Feed Loading Takes Too LongThe features of the camera and app are great but the camera feeds takes forever to load. If you have someone knocking on the door you can’t immediately view the feed as it takes time to load. I have to log in on a computer to the Logi Circle site and get better response and load times there than through the application. It seems that when you view the live feed, you are not streaming the feed directly from the camera, instead you viewing the feed that is being streamed to a Logi Circle server. It would be better off updating the application so that when you view the live feed you are pulling the stream straight from the camera and not from a Logi Circle server. Reviewing past recordings is the same result; loading times take forever..Version: 3.4
