Same track pad issuesSame as many others. I have issues with the track pad freezing, its only happened once so far. The issue I have almost every day, the mouse cursor stops disappearing after around an hour of use. I have to switch off IPad Air 4 or pull it from the case to reset. Firmware Update Process - Keyboard not workingThere is an issue pertaining to the software. It keeps asking to update the firmware and once it’s updated, the update doesn’t seem to kick in. I wanted to update it because the keyboard stopped working a couple weeks ago for no reason, even though the keyboard case hasn’t experienced any falls, or bumps, or any kind of damage. And judging by all the other recent reviews here, I’m not the only one. Logitech - this is a clear pattern of a recent development that has happened to a lot of people who suddenly see their iPad keyboards not working all of a sudden and without reason. GARBAGE, AND POORLY SUPPORTED SO FARI bought the combo touch keyboard for my iPad Air 3, and paid $230 Canadian from Logitech directly. The keyboard constantly disconnects, and reconnects a few seconds later, just to do it again a minute later. It completely ruined the use of the keyboard !! The app won’t keep the settings that I put in either...if I choose 60 seconds timeout, and leave the app, It will be a different value when I go back into the app. The fade out transition control also won’t keep the setting I choose either. No way to force a firmware updateI have the Mu0040 keyboard combo touch for my iPad Air 3 . It’s been a couple weeks since my keyboard has worked. I did a software update on my iPad, I have deleted and reinstalled the Logitech control app. None of my keys work so I am unable to force start the firmware update. I love this when it works. IPadOS 14.5 breaks Logitech FolioThe Logitech Folio loses a lot of functionality with iPadOS 14.5. Logitech and Apple, please work to get this problem solved! With Scribd, the keyboard seems to go to sleep and various workarounds are needed to get it working again; I’ve found that turning the pages more frequently (even if just to next then immediately back again) to keep the connection alive is a workaround. Hoopla is much worse: neither trackpad nor arrow keys will turn the pages, and tapping on the trackpad doesn’t zoom into graphic novels as it should. Keyboard freezesI purchased the Logitech folio for iPad Air 4th and the keyboard freezes a lot. This can be the just the trackpad or just the keyboard or both. This can be really frustrating when you are in the middle of something. Also not sure if the app is truly working. I never had an update since the purchase and I’ve had this for also a year. Delete key doesn’t work in MailJust moved from Apple keyboard to Logitech because it seemed stronger but the delete key doesn’t appear to work in Mail so you cannot use the delete key to delete unwanted emails. Finally supports the slim comboAfter updating my slim combo keyboard I haven’t experienced any disconnection issues so far... I’m still having bugs where the trackpad and the keys do not register input although the shortcut keys and backlight still works. Not sure what this does other than update firmwareThe Keyboard is great. The whole package is a little bulky and heavy. The app seems to only update firmware, although i was prompted to do this anyway by the ipad. Interestingly the keyboard before the update was pretty intermittent, and didn’t really work. once the firmware was updated successfully (3 attempts) it worked well. Some Functions Don’t WorkI am on iPadOS 15 on an iPad Air 3. This app works well with updating firmware (I suppose that’s what it is supposed to do), but in every tutorial and video I see about this product, it has the option to change the duration of the keyboard backlight. There is no such option anymore. In addition, I can’t click with two fingers when Tap to Click is disabled. Can this be fixed in a firmware update?.Version: 2.0

Useless app from LogitechThe Combo Touch keyboard is a very good product, aside from the fact that a few keys do not type the correct item (instead of a quotation mark I get this « ). But this app offers nothing but a button to toggle on if I want to know when there is a firmware update. Deleted. Keys intermittently not working?I really like the whole design, but there is a lot of intermittency in the glitchiness of the keyboard. Sometimes it requires a really hard press, the globe key has stopped working and the only way to get it to work again is reseating the ipad on the keyboard. And the space bar requires at times a double tap for it to register. Not sure if it’s the keyboard itself as its only three months old, suggestive to me that there’s a lot more work to be done on the firmware..Version: 2.0

App isn’t clear what it doesI know this app is for updating firmware only, but unless you know this, you won’t understand what the app is for. The keyboard loses connection with the iPad a few times an hour while being use on a stationary table. Overall the keyboard is fine, but software/connection are poor. No scrolling on wake-upI’ve had this keyboard about a week. I purchased it instead of the Apple board because it was a nice design and feel, a little cheaper and I had used the previous model on another iPad for some years and found it functionally good even though the case did start to delaminate badly towards the end. This board is an attractive design and seems like the case would last better. There is however a major functional problem. On wake-up from the lock screen the scrolling function of the keypad fails to work. Cleaning the contacts and checking the seating does not help. The only way I’ve found to reactivate scrolling is to shut down and restart the iPad. Very unsatisfactory and I hope is not a prelude to further glitches. Logitech seems entirely silent on the problem. Don’t know if firmware can fix this and other reported faults. This might just be a poorly made dud keyboard which is surprising considering the usual quality and reliability of previous Logitech boards..Version: 2.1

APP NOW DOES LESSThe app used to allow me to set fade and duration. Those settings have now disappeared. A recent firmware update says that the keyboard can now detect the best backlight settings from the ambient light. But how is this setting activated and how do you toggle back to manual setting to override when necessary? Updates firmware fine. Missing features?The app updates the firmware of the combo touch case without issue. When watching reviews of the combo touch case they all mentioned that this app can change the length of time that the keys stay backlit for, however that function does not seem to be present in the app. Has it been removed?.Version: 1.4

Combo Touch Case MalfunctionSimilar to all the reviews here, about two weeks ago my combo touch key board completely stopped working. Every time I opened the control app, it would instantly crash leaving the key board completely useless. I contacted LogiTech about the issue and mentioned many users are experiencing the same issue. After going back and forth with trouble shooting steps the decided to issue me a new key board as I’m under warranty. I really did not think this would help since the logi tech app was useless leaving the key board useless. My replacement key board just arrived and this one is working. I have not opened up the logi tech control app and I am reluctant to do so as I am afraid it’ll ruin the replacement key board. I did contact them to see if I should wait until the app has been fixed before ever opening it up again so I will update my review once I hear an answer. I suggest if any of you are looking to solve the keyboard, contact logi tech for a replacement, save yourself the time from the trouble shooting steps because none of them worked for me. Overall, this was a frustrating experience but I will say Logitech support did work seamlessly with me to resolve this. 5 stars to Logitech support but the one star on this review is reflected to the app and developers for not fixing it..Version: 2.1

Need support for Logitech Slim Folio pro...Only for the combo touch? What about the slim folio pro, for the most popular ipad on the market, and the actual ipad that should have gotten a trackpad lol.. backlight is quite aggressive at night and the 2 settings are practically the same, both quite bright we need more versatility. And an app to remap some buttons would make a lot of sense, Brydge was clever enough to include the ipad brightness control on their function keys instead of of the keyboard backlight. Using combo touch for ipad air gen3As delivered it kept locking up and it was almost unusable. An update to ios 14.0 made it better and then a firmware update to the keyboard fixed it. That is unforgivable in a mature product. The keyboard has been on the market for a few months now. Worse, when I went to the logitech site for help they pushed me to Chat. Perhaps Not Logi's FaultI used their keyboard/trackpad accessory with a 7th gen iPad, and with iOS 13 it worked great. iOS 14 was glitchy but I could usually make the keyboard work properly if I force restarted the iPad or removed and added the keyboard repeatedly Now with iOS15 the keyboard only works with Apple's apps, and then it isn't always 100%. If I could leave a review to Apple for their latest version of Baby's First Tablet/Phone OS I would do so. I can only hope their ears are burning with all of the unkind comments I'm happy to share with all and sundry about the 'joys' of trying to use this iPad with anything that isn't made by Apple. Trackpad IssuesLike others I had issues where after doing the firmware update my trackpad stopped working... Supposedly this is due to the firmware instilation being interrupted. To restart the firmware update, open the logi control app and press QWE Whilest also pressing the alt key of the image onscreen. Not the physical keyboard or the apple on screen keyboard it has to be the image. A message will appear with the updating firmware. If the firmware update window doesn’t pop out. Close the app and repeat and this should work. Now set down your iPad for this instalation and don’t touch the device whilst it is doing it!.Version: 1.3

Immediately broke trackpad functionalityAfter connecting my brand new Logitech Combo Touch everything seemed to be working, including trackpad support. Can’t download the updateI just got the case today and was prompted to download the app. In doing so, it gave me another prompt for the update after opening the app. I tried 3 times and still can’t download the update. A bit bizarreHere is my experience with it. Bought the keyboard, which is great, had a note inside saying ‘Download this app’. Before I had done that , I connected the keyboard and it came up right away that a ‘Firmware update was available’, which I duly downloaded and installed with no issues. Then I downloaded this app. Like other users, disappointed that it does nothing to ‘control’ the keyboard. All it does, seemingly, is update the firmware. However, like another user I read on the logitech website that if you push the ‘OWE’ keys of the onscreen keyboard, and the the ‘world symbol’ simultaneously (one review suggested that it was the ‘alt’ key, which it isn’t) it will say if another firmware update is available. So, despite the app stating ‘Firmware is up to date’, when I pushed these keys, it stated ‘Firmware update available’. After 3 or 4 goes with messages saying ‘Try again’, it seemed to download and install, but checking the firmware version before and after, no change! Overall then, I agree with all the 1 star reviews. What is this for and what use is it?.Version: 2.1

App is BrokenMy keyboard works fine(when it wants to), but when I downloaded the app to check for a firmware update, the app fails to recognize the attached keyboard(which has been explicitly mentioned in the compatibility section in the App Store and on the Logitech webpage). Thus, the app remains on the same “Connect your supported Logitech keyboard/Bluetooth enablement screen”. I wish I could give it zero stars, but that’s not the way the world works. I can even use functionalities to prove that it’s paired, such as the voice-to-text button, while the app insists that I need to pair the keyboard to the iPad to move on. If you’ve done this correctly, an update should pop up. This app is only for updating, it doesn’t do anything other than that. It’s unintuitive and impossible to figure out unless you’re lucky with a google search. For tap to right click, you want to go to your ipad settings -> general -> below keyboard option you should see a trackpad option. Pretty good hardware lame softwareExpected this app to do more than just check the firmware. For instance it looks like the ability to change up the pointer has been disabled in ios so I hoped I could use this to change that. Update - fixed touchpad - read below...... Touchpad not workingUpdate 21/10 - I emailed Logitech support and got a reply however it took me a few attempts to realise what they meant. Follow the steps below to fix the touchpad: 1- open the app 2- on screen there is a picture of the keyboard, hold down QWE and then the alt button (on the picture) 3- in the bottom left corner a message will come up (something about update touchpad) 4- the “Your keyboard is up to date!” Button should turn bluey green 5- click it and let it update. Logitech is unwilling to support their keyboards.There has been a recurring issue among owners of the Logitech combo touch keyboard for iPad. At times, the trackpad will become totally unusable and irresponsible. To reset this you have to hit the space key on the keyboard. This sounds like a minor issue, but if you have any hopes of using the trackpad on this keyboard it will quickly drive you insane. This app advertises “firmware updates” but logitech to this day has not shipped any firmware fixing this bug despite its widespread prevalence by other users. It has now been multiple years and and yet there is no fix on the horizon. Do not buy logitech hardware expecting software updates to fix current problems. TLDR: Logitech software is garbage and they are apathetic to their buyers. Just pony up the extra money to buy the first party Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad instead..Version: 2.1

Works fine, but backlit up key ‘stuck’Really like the case and the keyboard, but noticed that my key to increase the keyboard backlight goes to step 2 and then stops, so basically I have no backlit keyboard. All other keys work fine, but not this one which is frustrating as I see it as one of the major functions of this keyboard.
