Logitech Mevo Multicam for Negative User Reviews

Improvements requiredWould be great if you added a multi user option so that one person can be in charge of graphics and someone else can be responsible for camera views and audio levels. Also it would be great if mevo could add a multi site option without having to do special set ups thought NDI this way it would reduce the need for extra software needed to run any size production . Also it would be great if you made a wireless mic appliance were we need the wireless audio but do not have a extra phone to plug into our sound mixer. Also it would be great if you came out with a PTZ camera under the Mevo name this way we would have more than 1 camra option to use for the space we have to work with. Also it would be great if you started making 4k and 8k cameras this way we could have improved productions..Version: 1.5

Live performanceIt keeps dropping my live on fb. So disappointed.Version: 1.3.2

Multiple DestinationHey, this is exciting. I’ve been waiting for Multicam for a year now, so this is a great step forward. It does need to have an iPad app, and it needs the ability to stream to multiple streams. Then it will be ready for prime time..Version: 0.8.2

Update Broke Compatibility with all gen 1 Mevo CamerasUnfortunately, the latest update broke our whole Multicam system. The app no longer sees our gen 1 Mevo cameras, even though they have been reset and updated to the latest system. I’m sure I’m not the only one..Version: 2.0

App doesn’t seem to work consistentlyI have tried for hours to get my cellular devices to connect with the multi am app. I followed all instructions pre I. I watched a few YouTube videos to see if I was missing a step. I am doing everything correctly. I even did speed tests on my Wi-Fi connection to make sure there wasn’t a lag in connectivity. I also updated all device software to the latest versions just in case. Still having issues. I signed up for the pro account as well. Am I missing something? Does one have to pay upfront for the year or buy your cameras to use this app properly? If so, why offer free trials or the ability to link other wireless devices?.Version: 2.4.1

Speed HQ NDI Inputs not supportedBeen using Mevo Plus with Boost for years. And multicam is a great addition. It would be awesome if Multicam could capture individual PC windows or external monitors with NDI, instead of just the whole desktop screen. Right now, only "Screen Capture HX" works, and we'd love it if "Screen Capture" (which supports OBS Virtual Camera) could work too. I mean, OBS Virtual Camera already can be detected as Input source but it only shows a blank screen. It would also be great if Mevo made a companion software for PC and Mac that automatically finds all our desktops, like Switcher Studio does. We just want to quickly show our powerpoint presentations live. It would be super helpful if we could do a Crop for all input sources (Cameras, Mevo Go, NDI Inputs) right within the Multicam app. This way, we wouldn't need to keep walking around, going through all of our connected cameras, just to adjust our iPhones' crop settings. And maybe, in the mean time (with Screen Capture HX), we could just utilize and show only a portion of our desktop (a production view of our presentation software) for Multicam. It would be cool if Picture in Picture (PIP) could have transition effects too. The 3 dots (settings) on each asset is fiddly. Many times I need to click on it just to adjust some settings before showing it live, but then it suddenly gets switched to it, which I didn't intend to do. Please bring over the ability to see online comments right within Multicam app, like how we can with the original Mevo app. That's all for now. Thanks.Version: 2.4.1

Multi destination no supportIt’s so annoying that this Multicam app does not support multi destination live streaming. When will this feature will be available?.Version: 1.3.1

Almost perfectThis app is good and I love that it includes the graphic overlays without a subscription. However, it really needs to behave like the MeVo app.Wwe need zoom and pan. Why not marry the apps? The original Mevo app with all its features, and the ability to turn Multicam on or off and access to all the graphic features all included in one app. I don’t t get it, one app has no graphics (unless you pay extra) and the Multicam app lacks basic features like zoom and pan on each camera. Why not make one app that works with all the features instead of two that lack features?.Version: 1.0.1

Needs updateNeed the ability to playback video.Version: 2.1.5

MISSING FEATURES!SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is absolutely crucial for my workflow. Sadly, it’s been left out and only allows for RTMP platforms. Supports NDI, but app doesn’t see other NDI sources..Version: 2.1.5

Audio camera switchingThere really needs to be an option to attribute audio sources to camera angles so the multi cam app switches to the close up of the person talking. Even better if it switches back to the wide shot after a specified time. It would in effect edit a podcast record in real-time..Version: 2.2.1

Great idea, unstable sometimesWe use three Mevo Cameras and either Studio 6 or this Multicam app. Sometimes it’s the frequent updates that cause instability. Sometimes it’s just something unknown in the system. But we find we get a solid streamed broadcast only half the time. In the case of this app, notifications on my iPhone caused the stream to quit unexpectedly mid program. Unfortunately, with Vimeo you can’t just click “Go Live” and pick up where you left off. If you do you create a whole new event with a new url. And that’s a big headache. (Think changing/updating your broadcast’s URL’s on your website, app, and social media during your live program.) And the same problem if for some reason you broadcast for just a few seconds and the feed goes down… now you have to update all the links. This app has a nice interface and it does connect to our 3 Mevo’s well (so long as app and Mevo camera firmware are all up to date.) A major drawback is not being able to stream to multiple outlets at once (i.e Vimeo and Facebook). If you could create a Vimeo event from the app AND from the app tell the Vimeo event to send to other outlets limitations of an iOS device could probably be avoided. Alas no such option (yet?). Good concept. Good start. Make it dependable. Help us get our content out to multiple outlets. That would be 5 stars..Version: 1.1

Mevo MultiGreat to access multiple cameras. Need to be able to navigate within the shot like the original app. No zoom. 😟 No panning.😕.Version: 0.8.2

Works, NO iPad Version WHY??It works, overlays editing are great!! But NO iPad native versions? WHY? need landscape option to better use the larger screen..Version: 1.0.2

It's mostly goodI like the app so far but I really wish that: 1. It was easier to do the crop and zoom. 2. Have the presets saved but also displayed. 3. Integration with OBS so I could use my ipad to select which camera my OBS on my laptop shows for the stream. I'd think it'll be like the iPad could be a remote for the computer and/or hotkeys. For the first two the active cameras be up on top in one or two row and shown side by side. The presets could a user option of having either each crop and zoom being a number or a low quality preview of what the camera sees there. At my Church I am the only one doing the slides, audio locally, and everything for the stream so having a more "point and click" setup means a lot to me running everything with the two cameras. My table at the Church already has two underpowered laptops, old ipad, mixer board so quickness and simplicity means a lot to me..Version: 1.4.5

New version just freezes and closesThe latest version will open to the launch screen and then automatically close. The app is now unusable.Version: 2.0

Thought maybe these could replace sling studioMy experience has been none stop garbage with Mevo app and cameras. Only experience that has been ok has been NDI in to VMix another crap software forcing me to use windows mad as hello over the time waisted and money spent..Version: 1.4

QuestionWith the payment of the Vimeo membership can I upload videos with audio during a live broadcast?.Version: 1.4.5

DisappointedI ordered my first Mevo camera when it first launched and was thrilled with the technology and its capabilities. I was shocked when this app fell so short of the original. You would think the Mevo Multicam would have all the capabilities of the Mevo app. But you cannot pan, zoom, or send to multiple online destinations! Why am I paying Vimeo to multistream when I no longer have that capability? I work for a medium-sized church and money is always an issue. And Vimeo is expensive. I could only get the producer subscription. Now either the Vimeo subscription was a waste of money or the new Mevo camera was. I pray Mevo adds these features quickly seeing as I can’t imagine most people will be very happy without them. The whole nitch for Mevo is being able to pan and zoom without at camera person. Very disappointed..Version: 1.0.1

Mic Stops workingThe Mic will stop working and often can’t figure out why..Version: 1.3.2

GlitchyVery glitchy app experience with network settings. Unable to connect two out of three cameras - purchased based on app and ease of use but tech difficulties seem to negate the stated value add..Version: 1.1

Works InconsistentlyWhen it works it’s great but it sometimes shuts down..Version: 2.0

A small step in the right direction, but…Not useful to me until it supports Mevo mic. Also needs to allow RTMP streaming on a local network WITHOUT requiring an internet connection, just as Mevo 2 already does..Version: 1.1
