✓ Subscription, premium pop ups ruin experienceI’ve been using this app for over 6 years now. The addition of the “premium” subscription service (even though I paid for the app originally), and the constant pop ups for it have really ruined the user experience for me, even though the app still has good features. The focus is now building reoccurring revenue, rather than simply providing a good application user experience overall. I’ll be moving onto another apps..Version: 5.11.2
✓ All features not workingThe passcode and backup feature do not work. I complained several times to the makers of this software but no one has even taken steps to get in touch with me and explain why the problem is occurring. Bad buy. ✓ Seriously concerned about this developer.Have purchased this product in good faith, and used for at least a year now. Have discovered today that this developer is untrustworthy. I have learned today that they have obtained the development toolkit, Xcode from an unofficial source, presumably to reduce costs and / or to exercise shortcuts and have ended up with a malware infected product (search XcodeGhost) which has resulted in malware potentially on my device and circumventing the controls the Apple put in place to protect users of there devices. I will be approaching Apple about obtaining a refund and will NOT be using anything from this developer in the future. !!!.Version: 3.8.1

✓ Waste of money! Do not buy it!I was a bit hesitant about this app given my past experiences with programes likes these. Sure enough, another huge disappointment! The quality of the document after it has been scanned is disgusting! The document has spots all over it and the quality of the typed lettering is an absolute joke (looks lite it has been typed by a very old type writter). You would be better off just taking and image using the iphone camera and the cropping it using the many good cropping apps. The cropping/editing tools are extremely figity and inaccurate. Trying to get several pages looking the same is near impossible and it looks even worse as a PDF file. It is a waste of money and I will ensure you, you will be disappointed (even more so given the cost of purchase!).Version: 0

✓ Nope.Cam Scanner was a pretty neat app that focused on great scans/captures using your phone or tablet, thus bridging the gap between a genuine scanner and an image or .jpg I purchased Cam Scanner. Now a subscription is required to access the same features that I and others already purchased. And that’s where this review stops. People! Customers! Users! Players! Stop being ‘nice’ about subscriptions! You’ve already paid for a thing, right? Why are you now being required to pay for it again?! Because developers can get away with it? This isn’t logical, reasonable or feasible anywhere in the world or society unless you happen to be in the business of cement boots and breaking things with baseball bats. Even then, it isn’t OK. It’s just something someone who’s bigger than you can get away with, for now. Developers: Great, amazing, inspiring, awesome apps are created with drive, passion, purpose and vision, not with complacency and a monthly fee. Even if an initial purchase is required, the user can rest easy knowing that the developer is working hard to make their creation even better and it is perfectly reasonable for the dev to request payments for upgrades. It isn’t reasonable to expect users to pay a never-ending fee for something that may be great one day, but just not today. Have the courage to make something great and stop bowing to Apple’s latest greedy idea..Version: 5.25.4
✓ Works well but keeps asking for moneyI paid for the "plus" version of the app, and simply ignored its repeated offer to sell me cloud storage, since I use Dropbox. Now however the simple upgrade of creating folders in CamScanner requires a $5 per month or $50 per year subscription. ✓ Misleading reviews ...Overall functionality is great, but I'm not sure the image quality that is being lauded in these reviews is entirely accurate. I have been experimenting with these sort of apps and most recently came across this one - the added features for notes, PDF, etc are welcome, but not at the expense of bottom line quality. I really wanted to like this app, but it is truly let down by it's image quality and/or aggressive in-app editing engine. Images are not as sharp or legible regardless of settings and I am technically savvy enough to not write a negative review if user error is to blame, but in this case I am disappointed in the needlessly soft and over-processed images while welcoming the usability enhancements. Please improve upon overall image quality and I will happily re-review accordingly. Thank you..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Malware infected!This app is currently infected with malicious malware and should not be installed until the creators have removed it. This app contains XcodeGhost. XcodeGhost is a piece of malware that can steal data and potentially trick people into providing personally identifiable information. The creator(s) behind XcodeGhost were able to repackage a tool used by legitimate iOS and OSX developers to create apps. When those developers created their apps using this tampered-with tool, they unknowingly inserted malware into their apps, though the developers did need to knowingly disable some security checks in order to use this tool. ✓ They should Rename this app CamscammerThis app is trouble. Worked fine when I bought it. After the auto renewal, I can’t use the app. It keeps prompting me to upgrade. Every time I try to use it, it wants me to buy it Again. Hours on the phone with Apple, a chain of email correspondence with CamScanner support, nothing has changed. Recently, they have added a pop-up ad for their premium version. ✓ I love the app, BUTI used the app for years and LOVE it, my only problem between my 3 stars to give you 5 stars, because you don't allow us to use the iCloud drive and want to force us to use a very limited and expensive exclusive cloud service for your company, iCloud is cheaper and much better use, and many apps including many similar functions app use it, please allow it and I will give you 5 stars.
