Crystal Adblock – Block unwanted ads! for Negative User Reviews

Great when it worksWhen it works, I notice much faster browsing but on about 50% of the sites I visit I'm still getting big banner ads and block ads in the middle of articles. Not sure if the stories about advertisers paying to get through the block are true, but there are definitely lots getting through.Version: 1.0.1

Not goodDoesn't work. Still get advertisements..Version: 1.2

Now abandoned 2020 ... old review: Not compatible with old devices, Good on my iPhone 6Old review: This app works great on my iPhone 6. But I found out the hard way that it's not compatible with my iPad 3 retina. The iPad three is just three years old but already a lot of designers are completely forgetting about backwards compatibility seem to ignore a lot of devices..Version: 1.3

Bait and switch.Developer has decided to be greedy and change how the app essentially works - making ad companies pay to allow ads to go through. Shady and defeating the purpose of the app. Will be requesting a refund and reporting this, clear misdirection..Version: 1.0.1

Fails to block adverts since update.I've used this application since it was first released and never had a problem (or an advert), since the last update to allow non-intrusive ads I can no longer get rid of Google ads. Even after turning off allow non-intrusive ads. An ad blocker that doesn't block ads is pointless. I've installed ad block plus and guess what? It blocks ads! Cya..Version: 1.3

No no noIt is a waste of time and money, does not work still get video pop up,.Version: 1.3

HelenacoinskiI bought the ad blocker mainly to get rid of an annoying 30 second trailer that was, and is, relentlessly running. Crystal hasn’t budged it!.Version: 1.3

Bait and switchThis allows ads because this developer gets paid by advertisers. You think you're blocking ads because that's the purpose of this app, but you're not. This is an unacceptable deception. Looking into a refund..Version: 1.3

2 faced companySo you can pay to block ads. Then companies pay him to unblock the ads. Therefore he makes money and we all get the shaft. Good job!.Version: 1.0.1

Add blockerIt does not work. Waiste of money..Version: 1.0.1

Videos not workingOn certain websites (like tsn), videos do not even appear so I can't view their videos. Plus, there are still ads that appear so I guess this was a waste of money. I deleted the app. Too bad because the concept is good. If only someone didn't do such a botched job, it would actually be worth it..Version: 1.1

No Longer WorksSince the start of Feb hardly blocks anything anymore..Version: 1.3

Adding any site to whitelist causes empty spacesAdding a site to whitelist causes empty spaces (where ads go) on all other sites. Please fix as whitelist is unusable now if I have to sacrifice all other sites displaying white blocks of empty space.Version: 1.3

No configuration ability..Combined with developer allowing adds through that he is paid for = buy another adblocker. Scummy move..Version: 1.0.1

Where’s the updateAbout time the block list gets an update.Version: 1.3

AbandonedThis app has been abandoned by the developer, yet he happily keeps taking customers’ money in exchange for an increasingly obsolete product.Version: 1.3

Rarely worksIt’s not had an update in years and it rarely works..Version: 1.3

ABANDONED APPIt doesn't block everything yet but it has removed a great majority of them and has a nifty report website feature so they may review and add. 5 stars for now! Will re-review in ten days to give them time to review my corrections. Update 1: False advertising... He accepts money to let ads through. Funny how this was conveniently left out or just as bad, buried in the TOS. It's cool that you want the help the publishers, but at the cost of lying to your consumers. Be honest from the get go and you'll have a few less buyers, but very happy customers. I know I'll never see a refund, but I'd never have bought this app if I knew earlier Update 2: the app is abandoned. DO NOT PURCHASE.Version: 1.3

Doesn't block anythingStill so many ads...Version: 1.2

Taking $ from advertisersWish they would have mentioned they were going to take $$ when they launched. Hoping for a refund..Version: 1.0.1

Doesn't do the job anymoreCreator has a change of conscience, and that changed the whole product. Now Adverts can be paid to be allowed. This is no longer a content blocker. It is a legitimate paywall, that users paid for and no longer get the only purpose of this app. Just a list essentially for advertisers to purchase. This deserves 0 Stars.Version: 1.1

AwfulDoesn't work at all.Version: 1.3

I want my 99c backSrs, Im gonna keep bugging until I'm refunded.Version: 1.3

Stopped workingRecent iOS updates have resulted in Crystal no longer working. A complete waste - far better ad blockers available, that actually do what they're supposed to..Version: 1.3

Does not block adsGoing to normal sites you'll still see annoying ads take control of your screen..Version: 1.3

Help plzA waste of money it didn't even work for iPhone 5 so I want a refund now other wise this app it bullshi.Version: 1.0.1

And now for... adsCrystal ad block used to work wonderfully, but after a recent update, I've noticed ads on major websites that are easily blocked. Even though you can report ads and they'll be "taken care of soon," this has not been the case. Currently looking for another, better ad blocker..Version: 1.3

Shameful developer1) Charges us money to block ads 2) Accepts money to allow some ads back in 3) Justifies it by saying he's trying to save the industry I want my money back, meanwhile app has been deleted.Version: 1.0.1

No updatesLazy dev hasn’t updated crystal in over a year. No good enough..Version: 1.3

Misleading and allowing ads for those pay!Epic failure. I have not whitelisted any site and I started to see full screens apps from sites most likely paid this developer. Will submit a complain to Apple for misleading and stealing my money..Version: 1.3

Unethical App PracticesLetting certain ads go through for a fee is messed up. Do not pay for this app..Version: 1.0.1

Does Not WorkWant my money back.Version: 1.2

Took a while to figure outI couldn’t get it to work at first but after some Googling I found some articles that helped me figure out how to activate the app..Version: 1.3

No Longer WorksWorked fine and still blocked most ads for me. The n the last few weeks it stops working on Google search (prevents me from searching and blocks the click through url).Version: 1.3

Obsolete? No support? No updates for 3yrsAnd no mention of v2.0 release anywhere. Couldn’t tell you if it working any more..Version: 1.3

Does not block ads"If your adblocker takes money from you in order to block ads, and then takes money from huge companies in order to show you the ads that you paid for it to block, then yes; it’s just using you to erect a tollbooth.".Version: 1.0.1

DisgustingTake my money and now allow advertising companies to bypass the app. I'll make sure my social media community finds out..Version: 1.0.1

Double dipping? Zero stars!Potential purchasers take note, it was just released that this app developer is now accepting money on the side to let ads through the filter.... So you've paid to block ads but they're going to show up anyways if the advertisers are willing to pay enough money for the privilege. I'm asking for a refund..Version: 1.0.1

Good tryThe blocking is quite good on some pages but not quite working on many many others. Also I thought what would be a benefit but not for me anymore: block list is not transparent and combined with reports of Crystal having a "whitelist", which is also not transparent I've decided that this blocker is no longer for me..Version: 1.0.1

?Doesn't block YouTube ads. Let's get real..Version: 1.0.1

Mr Murphy is double dippingI paid him to stop ads. Now he's being paid by advertisers to allow ads through. I want a refund!.Version: 1.0.1

Takes Money from Advertising CompaniesThis app takes money from Advertising Companies to let some ads pass. Totally unethically. I am asking for refund..Version: 1.0.1

HorribleDo not get this app it does not work!!.Version: 1.3

Double Standards?I was enjoying my ad free browsing and praising this app till I heard about the new 'initiative' by the developer! I also only bought this app cause it claimed to block all ads! I don't need black or white lists! I don't want to manage anything when I want to browse! I just want to browse. That's why I paid for this app. So if you're going to take that away then I'm sorry but you've let people down! At least the developer of the other app pulled his app out of the store. But to do this now after I bought this app is not acceptable in my opinion!!.Version: 1.0.1

Does not work as advertisedLets be honest, this blocks little to no adds on any major website such as cnet or any news related website. If i could give 0 stars I would..Version: 1.1

Is causing problems with iOS 13I have just switched off Crystal and Safari is now working correctly but with adverts..Version: 1.3

Doesn’t block enough adsDoes NOT block enough ads. There’s an option for “acceptable ads” but it disregards the setting as Google ads always seem to bypass this option. Please add adblocking within apps..Version: 1.3

Latest update is TERRIBLEStarted seeing ads recently. Turns out the latest update added "acceptable" ads without my knowledge or consent. And it was turned on by default. Utterly disgusted by this..Version: 1.3

Better off with purifyPurify is faster and block ads. With crystal you pay for ads..Version: 1.1

Good but hoping it gets betterIt is definitely blocking some ads but quite a few are still there (maybe the ad makers are already finding ways around be the block?). Might be improving speeds but not dramatically as others are reporting. Hoping it improves cause I really hate the ads. UPDATE: I'm still seeing lots of ads and now I read that the developer has a "white list" advertisers can pay to be on to avoid the blocking. So the developer has just sold out all his paying customers, right? Downgraded to 1 star..Version: 1.0.1

An Ad Blocker that doesn't block AdvertsBought this to block ALL adverts after hearing good things about it. Then started to notice an ad popping up here and there, then it started to become irritating. After a quick web search, I found that the developer is taking money from an ad company to whitelist their adverts! So, takes money from people who don't want adverts, then takes money from people who want to feed me adverts. What part of the description "Ad Blocker" do you not understand Dean? I get that *you* and your buddies think that some ads should be let through, but I do not. I detest the advertising industry in all its distorted guises - I even dumped live television for the same reasons - And so in dumping you too - have gone to Apple for a refund. You are like a corrupt priest keeping up appearances by running a campaign against the local drug lords, then running your own drug distribution network behind the scenes. Shame on you..Version: 1.1

UNACCEPTABLEIf I could give '0' stars, that would still be too generous as you are the definition of despicable developer and sadly, an actual merchant as this does not fly. Allows ads on backend of those who pay him to be whitelisted. May all your ventures fail miserably sir!.Version: 1.3

Used to be pretty goodNot anymore. Just uninstalled it as it does nothing on most websites as far as I can tell. Try Firefox Focus instead. I tried getting a refund but can’t since I’ve had it for more than 90 days even though it’s now close to worthless..Version: 1.3

DeadWon’t even open. iPhone XR & iOS 14.3.Version: 1.3

Back door deals with advertisers, no thank youReports circulated this morning that you've signed paid agreements with the likes of Google and Microsoft to allow their ads and trackers to bypass your filter, and the stated function to prevent this doesn't exist. Thanks for wasting my money, I want to BLOCK ADS, not let them thru! Uninstalling and moving to different blocker that actually gives a damn and gives me control of the functions..Version: 1.0.1

Not working!Doesn't work on my iPad mini 2. Ads, ads, ads everywhere sadly..Version: 1.0.1

Gone badly downhill, there's better alternatives.I've been using Crystal since the day it was released and until recently liked it. But over the past few weeks I've been noticing more and more ads creeping through when I'm browsing. I've always kept the app up to date so that's not the issue. Decided to try 1Blocker out of curiosity as a comparison and it's by far and away the better app. Even by default it blocks significantly more adverts and it's hugely customizable. (No, I'm not affiliated in any way with that app.) Crystal has been uninstalled and I'll never use it again. I hope for the sake of any customers who remain with Crystal, that it drastically improves sooner than later..Version: 1.2

If I could minus a star I wouldStill getting pop ups. Waste of time and money!.Version: 1.3

Taking payments to block only certain types of ads by defaultI purchased this app based on the pretence that it would be blocking ads. I already use google contributor and therefore feel as though I am doing my bit to support advertising supported content. However, in a forthcoming version the developer has decided to take payment from Eyeo which enables ABPs whitelist of apparently "acceptable" ads. And this will be ON by default, this is outrageous and I want a full refund. It should be OFF by default. I bought this to block crap 3rd party scripts slowing down my connection and prevent cross site tracking. I'm a software engineer myself and think it is abhorrent for the developer to change the the concept of the application which is why people bought it initially. Incremental version changes should uphold the products original design principle which was to block ALL ads, not then allow some and not others..Version: 1.0.1

_oliwogAds still display on websites. Do not waste your money. I want a refund.Version: 1.0.1

First Peace, now this.Peace was a mistake. A very strange mistake to make but still. This however, is seriously messed up. As others have said, it doesn't matter that this "feature" can be turned off: it's a total breach of contract between this developer and its users. Frankly, I'd almost call it a Trojan horse. I've deleted Crystal. Gone. Not coming back. I've purchased Purify which, like Peace, gives me a whitelist I can control. THIRD ad blocker in what? A week?...seriously. I just hope the people behind Purify have ethics because this is getting tiresome..Version: 1.0.1

Terrible!I had so much trouble even opening the app! The app just crashes on my iPhone and is really buggy. It sometimes doesn’t even block ads. I want my money back, this isn’t worth my dollar.Version: 1.3

False advertising! This app no longer removes ads anymore. Companies can pay to get their ads white listed. The developer is a major sellout!.Version: 1.0.1

Poor and lacks major updatesHasn’t been updated for 3 years and is lacking any new features. Poor for paid for.Version: 1.3

WorthlessLooks like developers abandoned application, no any updates , don’t do anything except money at the beginning-deleted.Version: 1.3

Needs a. Serious UpdateThis was a very effective ad block when it first came out. But 2 years later, it is not nearly effective. Ads show up every where!.Version: 1.3

DisappointingI bought this app after reading an article on the Verge. The developer seemed enthusiastic about giving users a uncluttered and unencumbered browsing experience but sadly I guess the allure of easy money made them sell out to ads. Don't buy this save your money buy 1blocker it actually works!.Version: 1.3

Works well but no updates for a long timeI installed this app when Content Blockers were a new feature on iOS and it's worked fine barring some instances of ads getting through. Unfortunately neither the app nor the filter list appears to have been updated for a long time, so it's not keeping up with changes to websites. This potentially means more ads getting through and more sites that don't work correctly over time..Version: 1.3

Double Dipping DeveloperDO NOT BUY. Sold us this ad block and then charge company to bypass it..Version: 1.2

This app WILL show you ads. Stay away from buying. They are not filtering the ads like they used to before. I can still see ads on different website. Even if you report them, they keep coming. Please don't waste your money on this app. Doesn't work..Version: 1.0.1

Trust for developer at a lowThe decision to work with the notoriously dodgy EYEO to allow advertisers to pay the app to let their ads be visible via a whitelist is probably going to kill this app. i feel betrayed by the developer who it seems was intent on building up a large user base with a totally ad-free app, and then using user numbers to force EYEO to pay him to allow their whitelisting. i have now removed this app from my phone. why is this new plan such a problem - well, i am paying for an ad-blocker, not a tollbooth for advertisers. to take money from both user and advertisers is highly suspect and reveals a conflict of interests. coupled with this is the problem that whitelisted sites can track you and use your data too, so this is not just about advertising. luckily these type of apps are commonplace and it is pretty easy to find an alternative..Version: 1.0.1

Used to be greatCrystal used to be really great, like when I first installed it it sped up my web browsing experience but there are still a lot of ads like before. Sure it removed some of them but this ad blocker needs a lot of work. I have tried blacklisting sites but that feature doesn't seem to work. Especially now that IOS 10 is out. Crystal needs to be updated to work with Safari for IOS 10. Please realease an update soon! Plus you go on Crystal's website and it literally says "Crystal an IOS 9 AdBlocker" sooo let's get with the present people!.Version: 1.2

Crystal does not work!Terrible!.Version: 1.3

Used to workDon’t bother.Version: 1.3

Gave up years agoJust save yourselves the hassle and buy AdGuard Pro, constant updates and works throughout iOS systems. The developer liked this app with neglect..Version: 1.3

Rediculous oxymoronWe pay for this ad to block ads and it sells space to google to show ads under the guise of acceptable ads according to them. I'm still seeing ads on safari..Version: 1.3

Don’t botherFrom what I can see it doesn’t block a thing, still get adverts and pop ups as usual. Waste of money..Version: 1.3

Developer Acting DishonestlyThe developer of this app told the Wall Street Journal that he accepts money from ad networks to bypass Crystal. This was not evident in the app description or on the website when I paid for this app. I don't mind this idea in principle if executed transparently and with allowances to disable the bypass but that's not what happened here. Will be requesting a refund (not because it's a lot of money but because I don't want to support this kind of underhanded behaviour)..Version: 1.0.1

No longer supportedWas great, and was actually featured as the best adblocker when apple announced support for adblocking a couple years ago, but it doesn’t seem to ever be updated, letting ads come through, while still getting me blocked from certain sites until I disable the service. Don’t spend your money here.Version: 1.3

Blocked picture and comment section on several websitesI always thought the constant loading comment section/not displaying pictures were safari’s cache problem since updated to iOS 11, finally found the culprit today! Won’t be using it anymore, will stick to other apps..Version: 1.3

Abandoned. Nonfunctional. Wasn't great to begin with.UPDATE: I no longer recommend Crystal at all. It has been abandoned for many years. Likely it was abandoned immediately after it was created. The block list is ancient to the point of being irrelevant. Every single ad I reported to the developer since the app was released years ago never got added to the blocklist. Any updates to the blocklist provided since release have long since stopped years ago. The final release of the app merely added an "acceptable ads" feature: that is, enabling even more ads to get through its already weak defenses..Version: 1.3

Flat out doesn’t block any ads.It just doesn’t work, at all..Version: 1.3

Greedy, shady and falsely advertisedSo Mr Murphy thinks it’s okay to charge people money with the promise of BLOCKING ads, then after having enough customers (or rather "people who took the bite” from his point of view), sells out to big paying ad providers so they can slip through their "not so bad ads” (because we all know that Google ads are really “good” ads). You charge people money with the promise or providing a service then you take money from others with the promise to provide the exact opposite. All with ZERO mention of that in product/service main page. If that’s not fraud, I don’t know what is. Good luck with your endeavour to collect people's hard earned cents, sir. You shall not have any of mine..Version: 1.0.1

Do not buy - extortion scamThis app has been revealed to be an extortion scam - accepting money from users to block ads, and then allow advertisers to pay to have their ads unblocked. Users still see ads and the seller receives more money for it..Version: 1.0.1

Doesn't workSimply doesn't work. Save your money..Version: 1.2

Buyer bewareThe author is now taking money from ad companies to show you "acceptable" ads, after taking your money for an ad blocker..Version: 1.0.1

No longer supportedWas excellent at the start but hasn’t been updated in years now and adverts have started to appear back in webpages (not being blocked anymore), am actively seeking a replacement now..Version: 1.3

App no longer blocks adsI've been using this app since release. However it no longer blocks ads. Uninstalling. Refund?.Version: 1.3

Fake ! Ads everywhere now! They started no ads... now there's ads everywhere! Googles ads and all.Version: 1.3

No Longer WorksThis worked great when I first bought it, but I'm now bombarded by pop-up ads, including videos and ads that I can't close immediate. I don't know if they sold out or have been circumvented, but it no longer works..Version: 1.3

Shame on you!You abused customers trust. Totally unethical. I want my money back..Version: 1.0.1

Doesn’t workDon’t bother.Version: 1.3

Hello AdsWell, that was quick. Just over a week and there are ads everywhere. Annoying ones too. (Pop overs, flashing). Thanks for nothing. Guess I'll be applying for a refund now..Version: 1.0.1

Nothing to see hereWaste of money. Followed the loading instructions, spent 45 minutes trying set it up. It's been deleted. I want a refund..Version: 1.0.1

ScummyThis app will soon be allowing for advertisers to pay money to bypass the ad block..Version: 1.0.1

It doesn't work like it use to adds get throughDoesn't block all ads since last update, more get through. Better apps available Also doesn't block adds in apps - that would be a good future option.Version: 1.3

Fantastic!I was beginning to see ads again, and then I read all the other reviews. What the hell, man? I want a refund!.Version: 1.2

Warning. Will let ads through for moneyThey filter the ads that don't pay the devs. So you still have ads (less than before), but just the ones the devs make money off of..Version: 1.0.1

Not as 'advertised'. Poor developer behaviour.Firstly, just after installing the app, the first website I went to still displayed ads. But anyway it worked ok on other sites. But the reason I have now requested a refund and left a review is because they are going to allow some ads to be shown if they are paid for it. Really poor behaviour. It only cost $1.29 but it's the principle - and I'll download another content blocker with the money..Version: 1.0.1

💩This app does not do at all what it said it would. I downloaded it because it was recommended to me by another creator but it was just 💩 in the end. I didn't even bother looking at the reviews cuz I was just thinking, "Well this app had to have been recommended to me for a reason.🤷🏻‍♀️" But nope, this app was just a heavy load of 💩. I wish I would have spent my dollar a bit more wisely. But oh well, my own fault, I guess. 🤦🏻‍♀️.Version: 1.3

DO NOT BUY ITDoes not do what it says it does.... Period..Version: 1.0.1

Questionable prioritiesThis app developer charged me money to enable ad-free browsing. Within a week they have signed a contract with a company that allows 'certain ads' through their ad blocking filters. What the developer must know that he/she cannot sell a product that promises ad blocking and then, greedily agrees to let the entire point of the app go up in smoke to make a quick buck. I whitelist websites that survive on ads. I can make that decision myself, I don't need the developer to cheat me of my money in the false pretense of letting 'chosen apps' through. I will be requesting a refund on this app that lied to its customers. Don't bite the hand that feeds you..Version: 1.3

Companies can pay $ to allow their adsSo the developer of this app is charging users to block ads and then charging companies to allow their specific ads through. I'm so angry I got fouled into paying for this rip off. Why did I pay for the privilege of enabling this developer to earn money by extorting companies? Developers should be forced to reveal that sort of information in their app descriptions. I suppose eventually this developer will be charging users an additional fee to block the ads that he was paid to allow. And then they'll charge the companies ANOTHER bigger fee to let ads on again for these people. And on and on....Version: 1.0.1

OpaqueSeveral years ago, during the initial Apple-promoted campaign to combat intrusive tracking across the web, is when Crystal got most of its users (and money). After the initial boost the money leveled off, so this content blocker had started whitelisting large advertisers— selling out its customers..Version: 1.3

Not workingDownloaded so I could watch shows online. Not a single ad was blocked..Version: 1.3

Getting worse over timeIt often blocks things you don't want and breaks sites like Reddit (when posting). I don't like the guessing game of whether the site is broken, the browser is broken, or Crystal is broken. Constantly disabling it temporarily becomes a real pain and so I've turned it off entirely..Version: 1.3

Avoid! This app is a scam and should be removed from the store. It does not block any ads. Avoid!.Version: 1.0.1

It doesn't work.Wasted my time and efforts..Version: 1.0.1

Ok...The app looks ok but I found that it really slowed Safari down. It also needs a whitelist function so that regularly visited sites with interesting ads can be supported..Version: 1.0.1

PointlessWaste of money the whole 75p I watch a lot of football streams and when I go on my preferred websites they ask me to turn my ad blocker off as they make money off it which is fair enough but I can’t access the site unless I turn the ad blocker off which defeats the point of me buying this app and also when I use this app it slows my phone down considerably don’t bother!!!!.Version: 1.3

Not suitableMany may had found this app for safari yes but a large majority of people need an ad blocker that stops ads as a majority in any app in general. It is an essential thing to have as it it annoying to have so deal with ads in an app. I do not recommend buying this app as it is “good” but exactly equal to an app you would find for free on the App Store..Version: 1.3

UntrustworthyAs I suspected, there are reports that the developers of Crystal are allowing advertisers to bypass their ad list through payment. In Crystal, you have absolutely no control over the lists. There is no blacklist to block ad domains missed by crystal. Neither is there a whitelist to exclude domains that Crystal has blocked. My experience is that there are issues with the Crystal block list that breaks certain websites even though there are no ads on those websites. When that happens, you have to manually request the website without content blockers every single time you access, refresh or change a page on the website. My advice: AVOID Crystal..Version: 1.0.1

DeletedI deleted the app and installed Adblock Fast instead which is both free and open source (a guarantee that it will remain that way)..Version: 1.0.1

Started breaking too many sitesYou’re on a legitimate ecommerce site and it blocks the primary product images. On a blog that uses Google to search it and that blocks the search results. I just felt like I was missing out on more than just ads so I disabled it..Version: 1.3

Do not get this appThis app blocks nothing as far as I can see. Don't waste your time..Version: 1.3

No longer functionsWorked well once upon a time then developer stopped caring at all. Last update was two years ago. App no longer blocks the most basic ads. Current status: Garbage that should be removed from the App Store..Version: 1.3

Total rip off.Another $0.99 down the drain. Business as usual. I paid for & installed the Crystal App. Activated as per instructions. Guess what? It doesn't work. Which has got me thinking. Why not design a fake App, flog it for a $1.00. Rake the cash in & provide nothing that actually does anything. Why didn't I think of that?.Version: 1.3

Doesn't workAds getting through. Waste of money. Avoid..Version: 1.3

Not so greatCant access my online bank account with crystal ON so for me it’s useless… I contact the devs but no solution for the moment !.Version: 1.0.1

Dodgy BusinessCharges users for ad blocker, and now charges companies to let their ads through the ad blocker. Wasnt upfront about it upfront, to get near the top of the app store then changes policy once its there.Version: 1.0.1

Developers ignore "report a site" feedbackWhile the app basically worked, I've just uninstalled it. It was blocking most videos - ad or no ad - on a newspaper site I use. I gave the developers feedback a few times through "report a site", but they didn't fix it. Save your money and spend it instead on an app where you can create your own whitelist..Version: 1.1

Just deletedLately this app still blocks sites that have been added to the whitelist. It’s also clear that the developer gave up on the app years ago, so this is not an app you should download. I’ve just deleted it and will be looking for a replacement..Version: 1.3

Not blocking all adsI turned acceptable ads off so it blocks everything yet it's still showing some ads.Version: 1.3

Doesn’t workLoads of ads trickling through now as compared to when I originally started using I guess they have sold out ? Don’t waste your money Deleted & now looking for something that works.Version: 1.3

New installs won’t workIf you already had this app installed years back it will still work. However, if you try to open it to change setting (add to the white list, for example) or open it for the first time the app will crash..Version: 1.3

No longer worksYears ago, when this app was first introduced, it worked. It hasn't worked correctly the last 2 years that I have tried using it. No updates, nothing. A forgotten app..Version: 1.3

No longer being updated...Crystal worked very well until about 6 months ago, when I started noticing it breaking websites. I reported it repeatedly using Crystal’s built-in tools, but nothing ever got fixed. I think the developer has moved on, so I will too..Version: 1.3

Ancient blocklistSo, this app worked great when it first came out but the blocklist hasn’t been updated in ages nor the app... I am starting to see ads and that is no bueno. I would check out another app for your money..Version: 1.3
