✓ Good but sometimes buggyIt’s a good app but sometimes buggy and the server times out but usually works a bit later on..Version: 4.6
✓ Great, but lots of room for improvement.This is a great app, but it lacks some basic functionality that has me on the fence with my subscription. I will probably cancel soon as the shortcomings are not worth dealing with when paying monthly. - Support for negative balances in wallets; I.e. being overdrawn. - Ability to edit/remove log entries. I have lots of erroneous entries while learning how to use the app and there is no way to remove them aside from possibly resetting the entire family. - Removing wallet funds should default to either a negative number or simply a positive amount that will be removed; currently, it will add funds if a negative value is not specified. - Ability to change the decision status for tasks between "denied" and "missed"..Version: 3.10.2
✓ Makes allowance allocation easy !My wife and I tend to award our kids their allowance based on the amount of chores they get done. This app has really made our lives easier as we can keep track of what chores each one of them have done. Doing things digitally is so much more reliable and easier. ✓ Best-In-Class Concept but Disappointing DesignI’ve been a user and big fan for the last 18 months. I’ve spread the word about you guys to numerous friends because I genuinely believe you’ve understood what users are really after. I haven’t been as active over the last few months primarily because of the user interface. Myself and the kids on my account find the graphics, icons, severely unexciting color palette and typology increasingly lackluster and de-motivating. And that matters for an app like this! You want your kids to like logging in because of how bright, pretty, and modernly slick it feels. Homey looks like an aged app. Contrast this with apps like Tallie and RoosterMoney and it’s a world of difference. I highly encourage you to revise and update the look and feel of the app. I promise it will bring so many new customers in! Just my two cents, —a formerly happy premium subscriber.Version: 3.44
✓ Been using for years. Love it !This app has been fantastically helpful in managing chores, allowance, & savings. My kids now know how to navigate the app and check-in on their allowance money. They also can designate money for savings — and they love to see the savings “jars” get bigger over time. There are a few “buggy” moments..and the navigation/functionality aren’t as intuitive as you think, and take a bit of practice. Yet once you are all setup, it’s easy for you and your children to manage their efforts and payoffs. Recommend!!.Version: 4.6
✓ Best appI love Homey app! The pictures are great for my pre-reader, and it has all the allowance features I need for my older kids. It's really easy to use too. I love how versatile it is, though I admit it took some getting used to. The team behind this app is great, they respond quickly and they helped me find the features I was looking for (I thought I was making a feature request, but the app already had it!). ✓ Suggestions ✌🏾Great app, but 2 suggestions. I accidentally made the family without knowing it would put me as a parent, switch accounts, and ect..so please add where the owner can give a family member ownership so it would be easier then just making another family account. Next one (But short), can u remove the next option off the tutorial page, its getting in the way of the words. And ye thats all i got, u can call the suggestions a half need and want (bc its a suggestion), but good app so far, love to see more updates but one last really short-suggestion, if u update the app, make sure to still keep it simple. ✌🏾👍🏾🤟🏾😁😁😁😁.Version: 3.29
✓ Was loving it. Then everything expired.We are so confused. This was working great, then chores started to expire and we can’t seem to get back where we were. ✓ Good appDesign and features of this app are definitely the best in the category of chore/allowance apps. However, it is a bit complicated and I think they could improve the user experience to make setup easier. The chore packs are cool, but it's really annoying to edit each chore in the pack if the preset days don't work for us. Just a suggestion, I still love this app..Version: 3.16
✓ It worksI've been using Homey for a few weeks now, and it's becoming one of my favourite apps. I do wish I could pick and choose which notifications I want to get (right now it's either on or off), with 5 kids notifications can get a bit much. Even so, this has been the first app that got my kids doing chores consistently, and without me nagging. I have a few recommendations: 1. don't bother setting up a spending jar - how the jars work, it's much better to keep spending in the "total money" and use jars for actual saving goals. 2. read the manual. I found it in the help section and it was a lifesaver. This app has more features than your usual chore app, and it can be a bit complicated to set things correctly. I thought the app was deleting chores, when in fact I had them set to multiple kids at once, and one kid always completed the one chore for all of them. 3. make sure your kids have just the permissions they need. I think the app could make this a bit more obvious, but I had all my kids set up as parents and there's no clue apart them being able to do everything (delete chores, add money to their wallets...). Lets just say they had a bit of fun with it. 4. This one if for the Homey team: MAKE TEXT BIGGER! I'm not getting any younger and some text is really small and white and hard to read, lol..Version: 3.16
✓ Great app in the makingI think this is on its way to being a really great app. I do encounter an error when trying to “clone” a chore for multiple children though. Also, one suggestion I’d have is the ability to set a chore to 0 points. For example, I’d like to have responsibilities worth points only (which I can do) and jobs worth coins only (which I currently can’t do). Overall, after reviewing several apps, I think this one has the most of what I was looking for..Version: 2.12.14
✓ Great for ADHD families!Our household is just me and my 11 yr old son, and we BOTH have ADHD! Hahahahaha it’s a lot of fun, a lot of crazy, and it used to be a lot of “did you remember to...” at bedtime when it was too late. This app keeps us both in check, and my son loves it! He’s asked me to add just about everything, from brushing his teeth to feeding the cat. I love that I can require photo proof, and with the paid version (worth every penny, seriously, skip a couple meals out each year) I can approve or disapprove from my phone. One thing I would really love to see is integration with the Apple Watch!.Version: 3.25

✓ A helpful appI think this is a fabulously thought out app which I’m looking forward using to improve our family life. However, I am struggling to edit jobs and responsibilities without the wheel continually spinning so I then have to restart the app each time which is frustrating. ✓ Doesn’t Work at Night!This app is overall great, but it has one major flaw that is extremely frustrating — as soon as it is 11 pm (MST), the app locks up and you cannot add or update anything, adjust wallets, approve pending chores, or perform any other action. It just spins its little internet circle at you like they shut the servers off or something. As a parent whose only real time to sort things out is well after the kids have gone to bed, this is very frustrating..Version: 5.3

✓ An extremely flexible chore management appI have been looking for an app to manage chores and pocket money for our 4 children. Most apps in this segment are simplistic and inflexible so won't work for every family. Homey has clearly had a lot of thought put into it and the team seem really responsive to feedback. I'm excited to be using Homey and look forward to continued refinements as the development team take on board the feedback they receive.
