After painfully researching and changing the configuration of my safari browser i could not adress the issue ... after a simple installation of ad blocker by symantec i was finally free of automatic redirects . ✓ Works great and easy to use!I admit I was skeptical at first. They say if it looks too good too be true, then it probably is. But I thought, if anything, it's free and if it didn't work I could just delete it. I was pleasantly surprised at not only how quickly this worked, but how easy it was to set up. ✓ So far so goodI haven’t had this ad blocker for very long so I can’t give the most thorough review. But like I said in the title, so far so good. I haven’t seen any pop up ads. There are sites that I have to have pop ups for school. So I added them under the sites to allow pop-ups, Which was an easy thing to navigate. Pop-up blockers I’ve used in the past it’s very difficult to find where to add allowable sites, but this one was really easy. Once I make sure that those can come through I’ll either keep it a five star rating or change it if it doesn’t allow them through..Version: 1.1.2
✓ No frills, No ads.This app, along with other Norton services, delivers exactly what it offers. After having my debit card number hacked I researched all available protection for electronic devices and Norton had the most promising features. Blocks ads extremely well, I just wish the parent manager app was more straightforward to use because it is NOT user friendly. Everything else in my 360 premium plan is excellent. I had another popular name brand “M” antivirus program years ago and it slowed down everything. Norton doesn’t slow down my devices at all. I sincerely hope that Norton will invest in all of their apps to improve/combine/discontinue the apps that are redundant. It would help with ease of use and eliminate confusion in which apps are necessary to install and which ones are premium features..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Good against pop up adsA while ago, I started getting pop ups saying I “Won an $1,000 Amazon/Walmart Giftcard” or an IPhone X, knew they were a scam from the start, with the obviously computer generated accounts and comments, about how it actually arrived, and that it “definitely” not a scam, so I downloaded this app, and I didn’t get those scams anymore..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Improved Browsing ExperienceWhile I appreciate the need for advertisements, they are out of control on a great number of sites. Some of these sites belong to multi-billion dollar organizations, which are not in any desperate need of "a few more dollars" earned at the expense of their online visitors' experience. This application has dramatically improved my online experience. Having the ability to choose whether or not I will allow advertisements feels "as it should be", to be honest. Many reputable sites recognize the ad blocker in use and offer to rein in their ads if the user allows a few through in exchange. That shows that apps like this are, at least for now, shifting a bit of power back into the consumers' hands. I heartily approve. ✓ Annoying PopUpsJust got my new IPad. The issue was that every time I used safari, or any other search engine, there was tons of ads popping up all over the screen, on the header bars, side bar, and in the webpage itself. I could not search for anything without having to close out stupid ads. Used a couple of other ad blocker apps that were useless. But hey, what do you expect for free. So I ran across this app and, “WOOO-WOOO-WHOOP”, the ads are all gone. Best app for add blocking that I found. I would recommend the app to anyone that would be willing to use it..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Big ImprovementThis blocks most ads and popups. Many blogs and news websites will not allow you to access the site unless you remove the ad block. The software could be improved by asking is you want to restore the block, once you are done with that site..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Excellent Ad BlockerThis is one of the few that offers whitelisting which is wonderful. Works well. Only 4 stars for the following issue: Google. When you click on, say, a shopping site, it actually does 2 redirects. One is a google tracking token then to the website. The Ad Blocker blocks it but because of the double redirect, you do not have the option to whitelist it. The only feature I'd suggest is a fair ads feature..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Functionality 5 stars, transparency 2 starsTLDR: it works, but beware of potential for data collection. This app really works, blocking annoying video ads etc. while browsing. However, I worry that an app that filters all of my web browsing is collecting that data, Norton does nothing to disabuse you of that notion. The end user agreement is full of holes allowing for surveillance and data collection. The FAQ makes no representations. And the website makes meaningless, vague, assertions about data privacy. Apple does claim to limit the app’s ability to collect data, but I am unsure how it can make/enforce that promise on the backend..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Time (& Sanity) SaverThis is the first app review I've been inspired to write in YEARS. Having spent an inordinate amount of time TRYING to find ways to read CONTENT without being inundated by ads that occupy 75% of the screen – this app FINALLY puts an end to the redundant, obnoxious SCREEN-HOGGING ads that clutter the screen. ✓ Great App!Last month I noticed that I was getting a lot more pop-ads than I ever had, even though I had them blocked on my Apple settings. Specifically, I was getting those terrible boxes of ads that roll up from the bottom or side of a page, blocking 1/2 of it, that are almost impossible to click off. Plus I would click one off and a new one would pop up almost immediately. It didn’t matter what site I was on, they just wouldn’t stop! So, I decided to try one of the free Ad Blocking apps to see if it would stop the pop-ups before I purchased one. I choose this one and I am thrilled with it! No more boxes!! It was so easy to set-up, just turn it on and you’re set. I like that you can enter sites that you do want to allow pop-up’s on, because some won’t work with Ad Blocker enabled. ✓ Straightforward ad blockingI use Norton ad blocking on 2 mobile devices and it works very well. It is very easy to install and no settings need to be changed. Now, I can read articles with no break in the content or annoying pop-ups, it just works. There is an option to add exceptions if there are websites you don’t want blocked. Someone commented that it worked for them on Safari but not Chrome; that is because it’s designed specifically for iOS and not Google products. ✓ Blocks half of Google main pageThe extension works well generally, but I really don't like how it messes up the Google search results page. Some of the Shopping links are shown empty, some appear with pictures. The shopping section still takes half of the page, but the extension makes it unusable. ✓ Kill autoplay videos addAds aren’t necessarily bad since they are a source of funding to operate your favorite websites. But those video ads that autoplay just pisses me off. Especially when they are loud and obnoxious. That’s what drove me to download this app. This ad blocker app did the job beautifully. Blocked all the videos and ads. ✓ Fast and efficientI was skeptical about these ad blocker apps at first until I tried norton. I compared the results on iphone X, one with norton ad block installed and the other without. ✓ Thank youI understand why sites have advertisements... however, I absolutely refuse to deal with ads that pop up, block my entire screen, and sometimes never allow me to close out of it. This app is amazing for this. I’m fine with regular ads mixed in with articles but the ones that block my entire screen? Whatever it is - I vow never to buy that product even if it was something I had intended to buy due to the inconvenience. I've found your Norton Add Blocker app blocks iAds in the Apple News app. 1blocker x and Malwarebytes are unable block the iAds in Apple News app. Content blockers in iOS are to only block apps within Safari and not outside of any other app. I'm reporting this app to Apple, because of this potential violation..Version: 1.1.2

The ads were for things that no one would or should buy, and definitely did not apply to me. Some were inappropriate and insulting. I didn't mind it so much (everyone needs to make a living) until I couldn't do anything without getting the pop-up ads saying I'd won an iPhone and forcing me to either click the super spammy/phishing ad or shut down the app I was using. When this is enabled, however, those annoying little banners and pop-ups that appear while loading and/or after the page being browsed is loaded, are gone; plus, on the pages I visit, the places where the ads were are not visible and are instead filled with the content of the page. Let’s say you’re reading an article on Safari; you won’t be seeing where the ads once were, and instead you will be seeing the title of and/or the words of the article itself.
