AUv3 Support!!Come on guys, there’s no legitimate excuse now other than you want to force the use of Gadget - no AU, not on anything worth using - the Wavestation and M1 - you have to be doing it deliberately not to realise how many of those you’d sell with AU support. You’ve already been forced to halve the price now on those two apps, it won’t help! Your problem is your blatant disregard for your loyal customers’ wishes. It’s all about the money now. I have your Kronos, I’ve had every flagship since the Trinity, which I still use - I’ve also tried a couple of your apps and to be blunt, they’re patronising, ugly toys with gimmicks and no real-world use. You’re flooding the tablet and phone market with utter junk and you get away with it because of the name. Sort yourselves out or I’m going back to Roland and Kurzweil. You should be utterly ashamed of yourselves! Not even a Dev response! You have no answer to this though do you? No AU support is just another example of your spiteful, monopolising modus operandi. It’s a disgusting way to treat loyal customers of your hardware of which I can find little to complain about - aside from dropping features so you never get a complete package, oh no, because that would mean I wouldn’t buy your next flagship which I’ll bet my own head on the fact it has the piano-roll back again from the M3!.Version: 3.1.0

Before spending $40 read this review.I compared the sounds of the piano module with the piano sounds of two keyboards:Korg micro arranger and privia px5s. The sound of this module is very similar to the one of the micro arranger. The piano sounds in the micro arranger were sampled about 20 years ago, so it seems that Korg is reusing old samples. Another thing that I noticed is that the dynamic range of the piano in the micro arranger was larger (I was using the microarranger itself as controller for the iPad). I do not recommend this module, unless you're really in need of a piano sound in the iOS platform..Version: 1.0.1

No audiobus or IAA?I downloaded it and would really like to buy it. But it doesn't show up in Audiobus?? Neither this nor gadget le show up in audiobus OR as IAA in BeatMaker 3. What?? This 'best synths' don't have any interconnectivity? Something must be wrong, so Devs please respond and clarify before the sale ends. they're useless without audiobus or iaa. So please answer quick, what gives? I'm using audiobus 2.4.1(1).Version: 2.0.2

Serious lack of polyphonyListen, it just doesn't work well on an iPad 4. For example, if I strike a chord while two others are still sounding (because the sustain pedal is down), the third chord causes the sustained chord to turn off. It is quite abrupt and disturbing. This is in direct comparrison to other apps like IK Multimedia's iGrand and/or Sampletank which which both sound great and run well on my iPad. I have to admit that I am really dissappointed in this showing from an otherwise great company like Korg. I removed it from my iPad because I have multiple other apps that sound so much better on my device..Version: 1.0.1

Onscreen keyboards are terribleOn screen keyboards are atrocious. The single octave is too large to use and the 3 octave is too small. Kong engineers must have some weirdly sized hands..Version: 4.5.2

Trial doesn’t allow split layeringI was about to pull the trigger on about $100 worth of sound modules to use in module and was going to purchase the module that does split layering. Unfortunately, the demo doesn’t allow me to see if that will even work with korg module. So I’m rethinking my entire purchase. Please advise how I can demo it. Also such an ordeal to free up storage space because it seems the only way to delete a module to get it off my ipad is to delete the entire app and then reinstall app with the modules you want to keep. These are huge files and such a hassle and killer of my time to reinstall. Korg, there’s got to be a better way!?.Version: 4.1.8

Now it's showing as an update even though deletedGot a red number 1 at corner of App Store app, saying 1 update but nothing is showing to be updated, since I deleted this app, so not updating and deleting the one I had installed gives me a phantom app to update and I go from 855megs free to 3.5Gigs free just deleting this app on my iPad, but now I have a red 1. Not a small price to pay but annoying, and yes I have rebooted the pad three times and it's still exists..Version: 2.0.0

Needs workConnected to my XB20 and when I use the sound pack from Korg (available for purchase via the module store) it doesn’t sound the same on the piano. You just know what you are playing when you listen to the recording. Extremely frustrating. Also don’t understand why you need to save the file prior to be able to listen to it and cannot listen to it on the Korg app. The yamaha app for their pianos works a lot better. Is thy the same issue with the pro version. Is there any other alternative that works better?.Version: 4.3.1

Not connecting to MicroKey AirUsed to work just fine, but now the app doesn’t connect to my MicroKey Air. Disappointed because I had already purchased a sound pack $. I hope this gets corrected. Also wish all the instruments’ piano keys were in tune in the Ivory pack..Version: 3.1.0

Does not work well with Yamaha / Steinberg products.Sounds great as a sound generator and works well if you connect midi direct to the app. The bad If you would like to use it with Cubasis , forget it as it does not interapp at all. Also using a Bluetooth Yamaha UD-BT01 Bluetooth does not work as it keeps disconnecting. A great piece of software but not ready for stage for me yet. Play nice with your competition and I might invest more money with Korg.Version: 3.0.2

Please update or refundLately this app has been making my phone (iPhone 11 13.4 iOS) heat up when I use it.. which doesn’t seem to happen with iGrand piano.. I have tried reinstalling. Revised (5/12/20) PleaSe update or refund. After multiple times of uninstalling and reinstalling, the app definitely makes my phone heat up making my phone hot to the touch on the back! No heating problems whatsoever with iGrand piano or perfect piano or garage band..Version: 3.0.6

Could do better!I wouldn't bother downloading this app even if it's 'free'. Compared to iKmultimedia's iGrand app it is really not very good. The piano sounds tinny and the velocity response when played from a proper keyboard (eg Roland RD800 or Casio PX5s) is rubbish. The velocity curve adjustment possible within the app isn't sufficient to fix it either. iGrand just worked right from the start and although it doesn't have sympathetic resonance, the overall performance is much more like playing a piano. Korg you should be ashamed. Certainly there is no point in buying the full app, even if it's currently at half price..Version: 1.0.0

BuggyGood idea for an app and sound modules work well, but the set list function is very buggy. Adding photos or PDFs to songs is very hit and miss, sometimes it takes, sometimes doesn't. Adding text doesn't work with my bluetooth keyboard. I would also prefer to see the name of the song in large font, rather than the sound module it uses, as that would make it much easier to see whilst performing..Version: 2.0.2

Restore all? There’s no option to download all sound banks previously purchased. You need to download each one one at a time. And you must wait until the previous one is finished downloading. This could take days if I don’t just sit watching my iPad and down use another apps. And still no support for Nanokey Studio. I’ve spent $120 on the Nanokey and $250 on random KORG apps but can’t use them except playing them on the iPad screen. I could buy a real keyboard for that price that work become obsolete six months after buying it. This is so pointless..Version: 3.0.5

Module Performance Trial doesn’t allow trial of split/layersI just installed the 7 day trial and I cannot test the split/layers, midi learn features or the setlist feature. The trial seemed to only install a handful of presets..Version: 4.1.6

REFUNDREFUND: Your pro version deleted itself from my iPad and my App Store account. It’s displays on the App Store now as if I never bought it. Lucky I have an older iPad with the same version module pro eh? Refund immediately.Version: 4.5.6

Very limitedThis is a large 1Gb download, so you'd think there is a lot of different instruments to play....WRONG! You just get the piano, and you can't change any perimeter but it sounds really good, but that's it, if you press any button you get a message to pay for it, so it's very limited, I know this is the free version but the write up on this is a bit misleading. It implies you can do more than just play the piano. Quite disappointed. I would probably have bought the full app if this demo was a bit forthcoming in what it can do..Version: 1.0.0

Not happyI bought the main Korg Module app for my Ipad plus the bought the Ivory piano addon. Only to find out I have to buy it again to use it for my Iphone. That is pretty lame by Korg. Sadly as much as I loved it, I requested a refund. Not going to pay twice..Version: 2.0.0

Can’t import a song. Can you fixed it?Can’t import a song. Can you fixed it?.Version: 4.1.6

Not happyI uninstalled this app because it wasn’t working as it should, then re installed it and now I have just one piano sound and all other sounds have vanished. When I try to download it say no receipt found, well maybe you have lost it , what a complete con.Version: 4.0.1

Several patches crash the app every time.Spent money on the hybrid 2 pack, but several instruments just crash the app consistently on my iPad Pro.Version: 4.2.2

Only get sound through iPhoneCan’t sign up on your support site so here this goes: I have the Korg Module app from the iOS app store and am having trouble figuring out playing sound through an external source. I have the lightnight to USB cable, which plugs into my MIDI controller. I can play on the controller and it plays through the app on my phone. The problem I’m having is I want to pipe that audio from my phone to another source, but my iPhone XS only has one port which is connecting to the controller. How is this possible? I’m aware if I had an iPad I could connect to external audio via AUX. The new iPads wont have this though, so surely there is another way? Also, bluetooth isn’t usable as the delay is very slow (even when changing it in settings). Any help would be muchly appreciated!.Version: 4.1.8

DisappointedVolume is too low. even Garageband is louder. also, Its not free need to pay $44 for full version, though i have bought the microkey keyboard while garageband is free. There are no rhythm (styles) while garageband has heaps. Think about these!.Version: 2.0.2

Possible ScamI bought a couple libraries for this app. They don’t work. I contacted Korg. They recommended I seek a refund from Apple. I contacted them in less than 24 hours. They rejected the refund! I spent $40 on an app that doesn’t work and a bunch of libraries that don’t load. Contacting State Attorney General about being scammed!.Version: 3.0.0

Find an Easier Way to Validate Purchase in Korg GadgetI don’t want to have to download this huge app just to unlock the instruments in Gadget. Fix it. Until you do, this is your rating..Version: 3.0.6

Comes with no soundsThis only exists to get you to spend the £100 it would take to get some decent sounds. I have other Korg products, some of which are good value. This one isn’t.Version: 3.1.0

IPadI have an iPad Air w os of 12.4 and have tried to download free version KORG module and it will not download, pls assist.Version: 3.0.6

Beware Part 2The previous comments for the review below still stand (if you want to skip past my disappointment) and I’ve removed a star for the time wasted, but gratefully received an update from the developer today. Very sad to have to resolve the matter here. Dear Developer, I appreciate the link to the information you’ve sent. As best practice it’s best to make the information clear during the purchase. Otherwise, how many other people have found themselves in the same situation but unable to complain? For info, your sales blurb infers if you then upgrade the free app then you will access the restricted functionality. I paid £19.99 for the Essentials pack. The £19.99 is the same price as me buying Korg Module Pro and it should have therefore, presumably, unlocked the recording functions. What you (developer) have failed to mention in your reply to me that I haven’t posted for brevity but will if this continues, is that the recording apparently only works on the iPad whether you download and upgrade the Module free version or buy Module Pro. This I was told by Korg UK who I phoned for help after being led a “merry dance” by Apple who themselves offered no explanation about why they couldn’t refund but having cornered an operative she promised to update the information about refunding as she accepted it’s a bit misleading and poorly designed (as a UX architect myself). Korg UK offered to forward the matter to Korg Japan. Imagine I buy something in the UK and have to wait for Korg Japan to pick it up and respond. I don’t have to go Japan to spend the money though! Would they have responded in any different way to you (developer)? What’s particularly frustrating is that Apple told me they couldn’t do anything. I had to approach you (Korg/the developer) for a refund. I then call you and you say you will forward the matter to Japan. I then wrote this review and you very quickly respond to say Apple need to deal with it. What is this tomfoolery!? Can you either refund my £20 or ask Apple to refund it? And, can you make it clear that the recording only works on the iPad or set the record (pardoning the pun) straight if your UK colleagues have got it wrong about recording only working on the iPad. I ought to have bought iGrand Piano instead but trusted a longer established brand. Disappointed and disquieted. And, I say that having in-laws of National orchestra experience and a spouse that teaches music. Original 4* Review I haven’t added a [low] star rating as it would be unfair on the app developers. The app is great. However, I am reeling from being “stung” by purchasing this over iGrand Piano because the write-up mentions the recording function. Apple’s magic algorithm won’t issue a refund if you purchase any in-app purchases and were thinking it would record for you. But that’s to do with how they deal with refunds - though they agree that it should record if it says it will. Reached out to Korg UK this morning. Apparently, everything is handled in Japan and so “nothing can be done”” even though on the App Store it doesn’t clarify that recording can only be done on an iPad. Again, it’s a good app but don’t get caught out if you’re looking for recording in the app without using another app to achieve it. It also turns out you don’t get recording out of the box with Module Pro. I wonder if a few of us have fallen into this trap and the find money is unable to be retrieved..Version: 4.1.0

Great sounds, but performance expansion module a let downEnjoy the variety of sounds available, and like how you can choose to buy various module packs to suit. I have been experimenting with various sound module applications from a number of app suppliers with live performance in mind. Love the Korg sounds and the single instrument graphics are stunning. But for live performance I need something dynamic, versatile and easily adjustable on the run. Looking for an app provider that does not require 3rd party apps to have to route splits and layers midi channels etc, and provides a simple easy to operate analogue style operator interface using sliders and large easy access control knobs. Downloaded the performance expansion module. Yes, it can split, and yes it can layer.. but not together.. unless I am missing something. The octave adjust is difficult to operate. (Very tiny) I would love to find an app (or for Korg to develop) a true live performance keyboard module. Combination mode - layer/split, large easy access slider controls for each voice, mute/solo function buttons bigger than a fingernail etc.. basically a software version of one of the hardware synth/keyboard workstations. Easy quick access for live adjustments on the run, with a well organised settings storage banks. There is a huge opportunity in waiting. (IMHO).Version: 3.0.6

1.3gb and one piano!OK, I get it. You gotta buy the sound samples. But why is it 1.3Gb for the free version and you only get one measly piano? Deleted in disgust..Version: 4.3.1

MissingWell I purchased 3or 4 sound packs....now I can’t restore my purchases....so yea out of about 60$ with no help from KORG.Version: 3.0.5

Does not connect to microKEY AirBought the 61 keys keyboard in the hopes to use it with this app, no matter what I try it will not connect. And this seems like a very common problem. I would not have bought the microKEY Air had I known this was going to be an issue, the keyboard is practically useless until I figure out a different use for it. Fairly disappointed in KORG on this one..Version: 4.1.8

So irritating major issues Foot PedalI bought multiple packs just for my MAudio Pedal not to work? For example when I play the piano layer w/pad it doesn’t sustain. I need it for live gigs. Embarrassing when it happened during gig..Version: 4.2.2

No 7 Day Free TrialWONT DOWNLOAD FOR A FREE TRIAL ON MY IPAD. IT STATED IT DOWNLOADED BUT ALL I GET IS THE SAME OLD PIANO.Version: 4.5.0

No way these are Korg SoundsDownloaded then downloaded expansion packs. More like a cheap walmart casio than any Kork Kronus sound. Scam. Take the name korg off of this. Cant make real music with this..Version: 4.1.8

Lost Purchased Ivory Mobile Grand after Korg Module updateI purchased the Ivory Mobile Grand just 2 weeks ago within my Korg Module on my IPad. I just updated the Korg Module App, now the expensive app Ivory Mobile Grand is gone! How do I get it back? You cannot tell me I need to pay for it all over again, because I will never use this app again..Version: 4.5.6
