✓ Brilliant little appNocturne is great; its tiny footprint allows it to be on all the time, quietly running in the background. Its lack of un-necessary complexity means you can hear your midi keyboard without having to create a session in more complex software such as Garageband or Logic. While you can save/share 'recordings', its great benefit to me is that my midi keyboard is always on and audible and I can test ideas without having to mess around opening and setting up software. ✓ Great For Piano PracticeThis app allows you to record stand alone tracks in a project, you cannot multitrack. This is perfect for trying out different versions of your tune but best of all it is ideal for piano practice - you can record right hand and left hand as separate tracks and although you can’t play them back together you can use them to practice each hand separately.
