✓ Lost account twice…Played back in 2018, game bugged out randomly back then and would never load so had to delete game and re-download, that let me back on the game however my saved data was erased (I spent money on it, beware never do that as this game can make you lose your data in a split second). Fast forward to now, I re-downloaded it 2-3 weeks ago, didn’t decide to spend money and managed to get far into the game, then out of the blue it starts bugging out again, the loading screen is just there indefinitely, literally left my phone on the loading screen for 25 mins once and still didn’t load, I have a good iPhone and good Wi-Fi so not on my end, it’s the game, anyway had to delete and re-download and guess what it deleted my save again, stay away from this game or at least don’t spend money on it….Version: 3.4.29

✓ Not as good as could be.This game is almost 2 years old and still has way too many bugs. The developers are aware but are angling their updates towards rewarding the pay to win crowd. I and many others have quit playing out of frustration due to numerous crashes and other issues that should have been fixed in the developmental stage. ✓ Fun if you pay moneyThis game was pretty fun for awhile. The AR was a breath of fresh compare to other games. Like others mention, the game loses it appeal when your HQ reaches about lvl 10 and your Gladiator reaches rank 3. At that point you will literally spend more gold healing your hero than you gain from a battle. Basically every battle you are coming out negative gold of your gladiators get hurt. The part where it shows how bad they are want your money is when you play the missions from the past area, after 3 times you won’t get any reward or chest, only exp for your hero to level up. This lvl up part requires you to spend more gold. Also you can’t heal hero’s and upgrade/train them at the same time which is stupid. The missions that I can gain rewards from are unbeatable for me. I don’t know how they calculate the battle levels but my highest hero’s is 960 and other 2 are 700. I’m now facing 3 gladiator that’s totals at about 3400. The slow builds are stupid too. Ex you need stone/iron to upgrade your Hq or necessary buildings, but you have a way to mine them until you are like 2 lvls higher. Going to delete the game in 3 days..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Good game but need money to enjoy itLove the idea of this game but the cost to keep going you need to be a millionaire lol the price of gems and stuff you need to speed stuff up is silly. ✓ Mostly a slow build game.Graphics are nice. Characters are not customizable. No overt “Clock hostage” tactics. You fight enemies in gladiator battles which requires a tiny bit of strategy, but it has auto-battle choice during gameplay. You will run out of storage space for items pretty fast which is why the Slow-Build aspect gets annoying over time, but you can choose not to open win chests at your camp until later if you don’t have the storage space yet (which is another star added in this review for the developers). It’s pretty much rather unchanging gameplay like this from there out. As far as Slow Build games go, this one is less annoying than most. Slow-Build Game Type. But average build time is about 1 hour per upgrade (not exponential build times like most Clock Hostage games). You earn money & items in battles and slow generator camp items which give you wood, gold, stone..Version: 2.0
✓ Completely Pay to PlayThis game is almost completely pay to play. Your Gladiators, no matter how strong are put up against Ai that is always way stronger and smarter than yours. You Earn Gold through matches but it is completely unbalanced because of the amount of Gold and time it takes to even heal your gladiators, making progress in the game painfully slow...and I Mean days upon days at a time. You may ended up playing 3 to 4 matches a day before you have to sit completely idle for hours and hours since you Need your gladiators to heal in order for you to earn a tiny bit of gold...which is then spent again on healing in-turn frustrating you to the point of using the tiny amount of crystals you obtain. This game has a lot of potential but currently it is more frustrating than fun. If you plan on throwing cash into the game just to slightly improve and then have to throw more real cash to Stay a float. By all means have fun. Otherwise...stay away until improvements are made. ✓ Fun when it works -until level 3Update: Like some other reviewers the game was fun until level 3 and then is nearly unplayable. Fights are far too hard to win even for your best gladiators, making it nearly impossible to level your less experienced gladiators. They have a Christmas event going that is so overpowered that the first fight killed all of my gladiators without doing more than a few points of damage. Let me be clear, I have spent more money on this game than any other phone game I have played and this is still happening. Save your money and find something you’ll enjoy for more than a few weeks My original review is below This game is a lot of fun when it works. It takes a long time to load. It takes a long time to sync with the server when you switch screens to come back to it. If anything interrupts your game (like a low power warning) it will sync with the server again. If there is an update it will not let you play until you install it (so don’t expect to play while traveling unless you want to spend the data) and every time it does an update you will spend hours fighting with it to acknowledge the update was downloaded and installed (Also not letting you play). I really want to like this game and have spent money on it. When it works it is a lot of fun. I even considered their monthly subscription, but I can’t justify it for a game with these kinds of uptime problems.Version: 2.2.3

It seems you can only spend a few minutes playing then having to wait for your heroes to heal AFTER you pay to heal them. Good luck on the waiting time if you ran out off gold though! Because then you have to wait for your building to produce enough gold to heal you champ Because you can’t replay lower levels with your lower level champs to get enough gold to heal them because you can’t replay them and get gold anymore. ✓ Gold, healing and gem system needs fix badlyVery fun game and i spent about 30 bucks on. But like other said it just becomes unplayable past h.q. lvl 8. I would spend more money overtime if they made the game more playable longer without constant pay to play. Too greedy. Problems and suggestions: 1) healing times too long 2) there should be an auto heal like in 5 hrs your gladiator will self heal 100% with no coins or gems needed 3) we need a trade system where we can trade wood, stone, iron for gold. 4) gladiators even my mythical one and ones with high power still get hurt by lower powered gladiators. And the constant need to wait and heal or pay a lot to heal is game breaking 5) we need more gold produced, given from battles or selling items. More ways to get gold. 6) we need more content up front without having to pay. 7) joining a clan is actually hard. I sent many requests and got good stats but no one accepted it. 8) every gem thing or package is so overpriced. ✓ Play this gameIf you want a first experience on what a pay to win game looks like. You start off with. 2-3 star, which is decent because nobody gets a generic character, WRONG. Although you do get your very own gladiator it will always be male, why is that you ask? Because only the males gets the shield and sword. There is no other kind of weapon wield you can get unless you upgrade your “town hall” or whatever it’s called. You are also not allowed to build multiple of things at once, but you can get 2nd build for a monthly subscription, talk about greedy. This game isn’t all pay to win, but believe me, in a week you’ll get tired of this game and delete this. In the gladiator wars, which is basically like pvp. There is no chance for you to win against somebody who used their cash, they’re basically like a overlord compared to you. This game is a total disaster, and really sexist too. ✓ Great game, needs more contentThis game requires patience, it takes a while to get your gladiators to be good and for your base to generate enough money through selling weapons. Once you’re far enough along, it’s awesome. So much so that I have maxed out the headquarters and all the buildings so there’s nothing left for me to upgrade. ✓ No in game supportTwo weekends in a row in game support refuses to help with an issue last week they had an issue in their purchasing that locked my Tunes account and suggested I restart my phone... I contacted iTunes and they corrected in ten minutes. This week their item which is supposed to keep you from losing training levels lowered all my gladiators to no training I sent a support ticket and they said we had to wait for the item to wear off... three days before they can fix my account. I’m in a clan war and there’s an event this weekend I can’t take part in because these guys won’t just fix their game. I’m going to be opening a ticket with iTunes to try and get all my spending refunded if they don’t at least try to make his right. They finally responded saying they have a small team but still don’t offer a solution... It’s funny the answered the original post in under two minutes but won’t answer again for I’ve 24 hours... they obviously don’t care about the game only taking what money they can get from their customers. ✓ ImbalancedThe classes are imbalanced; dual wielders are overpowered, two-handers are terrible, the only units that seem to drop are sword and board units which appear to have the worst skills. The drop rates are terrible, every time I’ve used a summon item I’ve always pulled the lowest rarity possible. Pay walls early in the game coupled with horrible implementation of resources make this game slow and too much grind. The game starts you off in Auto when you fight which is too bad for players who don’t immediately notice the auto switch because it takes away turns and doesn’t allow a player to actually learn how to play/fight at the beginning of the game. All in all it’s an okay game if your looking for a Clash clone with semi original combat, and you don’t mind sinking a few months/years or money on it. ✓ Not impressed with customer serviceHi, I’m sending a message on here because no one is returning my messages on the game.. my account name is Tal Talos. My issue is I purchased a 20$ hero pack on my iPad. And then I left the house and played off my phone like I’ve done tons of times. When I went into my phone my hero wasn’t there.. then when I went back to my iPad it was gone there as well with all the other stuff that came with the pack. I wrote a message and they asked for more information. So I sent them photos, the information they required and even a photo of the back statement to show that I wasn’t lying! They sent me a message on feb 17 and I’ve sent serval message back and it’s now March 4th and I haven’t even received a message saying they are working on it.. I know it maybe not seem like much to people but it’s the fact I paid for something and I don’t have it.. I would love to have my money back or even better.. The game is glitchy and will freeze in the middle of a battle causing you to have to force close the app. So when you open the app back up you have lost all your data, the coins you spent to be in the battle and the health of all your fighters(which takes money and time to recoup). ✓ Shovelware P2W garbageI play a lot of Freemium games, if I like the game I see how far 20 bucks gets me. For this trash-heap that’s about an hour in. AI is buggy and cheap, unless you cough up the cash. PVP favors whales of course, and at higher levels they can raid and steal all your building supplies unless you pay a “shield” tax that costs real money. As if all that wasn’t enough, in addition to pay-to-win the game uses long timers on everything weather you are a whale or not so you get to enjoy not playing and watching timers count down. The same exact amount of fun with this game can be had opening up your timer app while sitting on a sewer grate with a handful of quarters. ✓ Wow....or at least for a whileLoved this game as per the post below, however, there is a major flaw. To upgrade town center to lvl 7 you need 6000 stone. To build a stone vault which allows you to accumulate the 6000stone you need to spend 2000 stone...and to build a quarry which makes stone you need to be lvl 7. In other words once you reach lvl6 you will sit there for an eternity waiting to earn enough stone from battle. Used to be a 5star rating. Now...barely a 2. Fantastic game. Almost didn’t download because of all the reviews about how it’s pay to play but it simply isn’t true. I have and never will pay anything for a mobile game and am doing great in this one. Gold is backing up on me as is wood for building and my gladiators are still rocking it in battle. No money needed for a really fun gaming experience. Only gripe is that the auto-battle algorithm takes a lot of the strategy away. ✓ BugsFrequently, I’ll log in and my gladiators have lost experience even though they’ve fought in the last 24 hours - they have to fight daily to maintain their skill level. This means I have to cover the same old ground of spending gold to get back their abilities, which shouldn’t have disappeared in the first place. This bug has also affected the duration of using special resources that have expired too quickly. ✓ Warning Review: Pay To Play, Pay More To Win...I’ve been playing this game for a good while and have learned this developers trick at making the user pay to enjoy the game. 1st of all they make you wait a lot. Battles result in gladiators getting hurt. Then you put them in a hospital for a long time. But here is the kicker there is a VIP mode where you can pay $6.99 for a 50% reduction in wait times. Also you can spend your hard earned cash to buy Red Gems (in game currency) and apply that towards healing your gladiators quickly so you can actually play the game. Also building structures is very time consuming but again VIP mode allows you to build two structures at the same time.... this game unfortunately just finds several ways to make you spend money.... (The list is Endless at how much money you gotta spend to play this game how you expect to). Apple Please Work On Eliminating or Reducing the Madness That Is “Pay To Win” & Now With Games Like This “Pay To Just Play Without Waiting All Day” it’s not fun to be digitally manipulated... Been playing on and off all day and I’m happy to report that the game no longer shuts down every time you try to do a battle. It still shuts down, but only three times so far today and not during battles. Another improvement is that it looks like even when it shuts down, you don’t seem to loose your progress before the shut down. Nice job guys. There’s still a lot of fixing to do, but it looks like you’re on the right track. I have a high level account that I am only able to play on one phone, Facebook backing up has been broke. Or compromised. So soon this will make me loose my account because I am not able to back up my game progress on a different device using Facebook. ✓ Not an everyday gameLet me start by saying I enjoy playing this game. It has some interesting characteristics that I don't find in other games. At the same time, I find the lead times to upgrade the city just plain silly. It goes from 7 minutes to 54 minutes, to several hours, just like that. Resources are hard to come by, so you are forced to watch videos to open more chests. ✓ Potential Clash of Clans Killer, Needs improvementsOverall it’s a fun and different mobile game that bares resemblance to town building RPGs of the same genre. It combines elements of Clash of Clans and other popular mobile RPGs with it’s own merits. The greatest thing this game has going for it is it’s character progression system. As you level up a character you can choose passive and active skills along the way, taking the generic classes into more specialized builds. You have way more control of your characters compared to normal troops in most other games of this type. Essentially it’s like having a team of only Heroes from Clash of Clans. The biggest issues so far are: limit of one build/one upgrade at a time, awful friendly AI behavior when not using abilities, and lack of resources given by playing previously completed stages..Version: 1.9.5

✓ Money farmerCheck out the other reviews - This one is a pretty basic "clock hostage" money farmer. It isn't pay-to-play in the strictest technical sense, but in terms of practicality yes, it is in fact pay-to-play. The developers vomit up impediment after impediment after impediment to make your progress absurdly slow -- and if you DO pay, it is only very marginally less slow and full of obstructions. And on top of all that, the VIP system, which in most other MMO games like this are simply purchased 30 days at a time, these guys do the subscription model, just to make it that much little bit harder to stop giving them money. The monitory model seems to be to frustrate players into buying jewels. these jewels are really expensive in relation to what they give you and indeed the cost of other games. You will notice bundle packs for 80 pounds that give you a very very small boost. I have also noticed that much of the gameplay is much more like gambling, rather than reliant on skill or indeed effort in building up your players. My advice is don’t start playing this. ✓ Ripoff artists!This developer will take your hard earned money but will ignore you if you need any app support. I had an issue with my game syncing properly from their server which resulted in my game progress being backed up to the point I was at about 6 months and $10-$15 of in app purchases ago. I attempted to get help in app via the chat but was ignored all 5 times I asked for help. So I went to the “App Support” button in the Apple store and sent an email explaining the situation and asking for help. I received a reply stating that they do not provide support via that email account and that I have to use the in game support chat. I explained I tried already and they refused to help. ✓ Great RTS game...at a substantial cost.While I agree largely with the positive reviews I have already spent just under £20 and I’m now out of cash and its a real slow burner if you don’t have plenty of gems to play with. While you can play this for free it’ll take you about 6 months to progress to I am having played for around a month. There are ridiculous in house purchases at around £85- £99. I mean seriously guys? As much as I like the game its just sheer greed of developers to expect anyone to spend such ludicrous amounts of money on a smart phone game. There are come major balancing issues with regards to the in game currency and resources. I decided to try the VIP package so you can build two buildings simultaneously, however I am now at the point whereby I simply cannot generate enough resources to actually utilise this perk or advance without making a further large purchase. This makes me somewhat angry and at times when I’ve lost a fight and the cost of healing is so great that I’ve hade to wait about 48 hours to generate more income to cover the costs, only to get penalised by having my training levels deducted. ✓ Fun but problemsSince I gave up clash of clans I normally don't play games that are about building bases. But this game has something different about it that I'm enjoying. You do build bases and train troops, but essentially you are completing a string of campaign missions which obviously progressively get more difficult, rather than just pvp. I like the aspect that involves looting gear which is equip-able on your trained troops and managing resources gained from both base collection and mission rewards. Surely if you get invested enough, the micro transactions will be essential in progressing through the un-doubtful plateau and bottle necking to progressing somewhere mid through the game in order to train or build more than a single item at once. But hey, the game needs to earn coin somehow. Unfortunately just when I'm starting to get some momentum on this game, it tells me it needs to be updated, then I click the link to the store, which shows no updates. ✓ Heal times are rough.I currently have 7 gladiators, each slightly above rank 3. Let’s say I get on and proceed to do the story line- one match 2/3 of my guys gets injured. It takes 30 minutes to heal them... Now I got 5 guys left let’s say 1-2 guys get hurt each round as the difficulty progresses with your gladiators. You can only do like 3-4 battles before all your guys are healing and each one takes an hour.... this game should be title “hospital” because that’s all it is. A game about healing times. Also not enough variety in gladiators. The sword and shield guys are the same as the Valkyrie. They are both just sword and shield. Not fooling anyone there with your change of skills not classes. Ideas: guys that throw arena nets to snare enemy(especially effective on spear types), add a trident?, maybe allow players to select armor in customization and have a few different models per gladiator type, make classes more unique, add more gladiator skills that don’t overlap with other classes defeating the point of desperate classes altogether..Version: 3.4.0

✓ Stone System ALL WRONGSo i was having fun leveling up until leveled up my headquarters to level 6. You see, once you get to level 6, the stone storage is unlocked, but there is no way to produce any stone. Also, almost my whole map is either completed or at a part where i can't use my leveled up characters to win or i've already won. I would assume i could gain more stone in the next caravan area, area 4, but i can't unlock that because then next caravan upgrade requires stone. Basically everything requires stone to level up from 5-6, after the HQ is lvl 6. I don't know why they set the game up this way, but its literally ruined the game. ✓ There is an issue with the gameThis game can be fun but I am starting to lose interest of the game due to issue with the game of cheating me $50 and I also lost 3 hours of my playing time. I brought $50 worth of gem in hope to help level my city to level 27. Once I got to level 27 and spent three hours playing I log off to take a break. When I log back on an hour later I was back to level 24 and my 6500 gem was gone. I have reached out to support group for the past four days regarding this issue but no one response in how to resolve this issue. ✓ Update-Do not spend money on this gameI never write reviews and I rarely spend money, but after my experience with this game I had to warn others. I’ve played a lot of free to play games, and in the early stages, this game is fun and engaging. Once headquarters reaches level 10, and your gladiators hit level 3 the game becomes almost unplayable. It’s fine if you can win your matches, but every loss cost you so much in gold to heal your fighters that you quickly go broke with no means of making gold fast. A lot of potential, and I really do enjoy the mechanics, but I can’t recommend a game that hits the pay wall so hard. UPDATE: Do not spend money on this game. After powering through the multiple issues/bugs, because I really do love the game, my son inadvertently deleted the game. If there is an issue and the game is deleted/corrupted the Devs will not keep record of your account unless it is linked to Facebook. I recently had an issue after the Xmas update and lost all my info and I now have lost many hours and dollars worth of work and will not receive an update on my account for a lengthy time. ✓ SynopsisThe first day or so is the “honeymoon” period where you can play as much as you like constantly upgrade your characters, but after that it’s downhill. The game becomes stale & slow, battle once wait 10+ min to heal your character or pay gems (pay to play) to play right away & keep getting rewards. That brings me to my next point, REWARDS. I had over 40 unclaimed rewards & I couldn’t use any of them because you have to collect rewards in the order you receive them or you lose them. So my armory was not upgraded to carry more weapons, I waited over a day to upgrade my armory because I didn’t want to pay gems. I could of course waste the first 20 of my unclaimed rewards on weapons to get some wood, but why would you throw away materials you rightfully earned. I understand the capacity limit but allow the players to choose at their own volition, obvious cash grab their. Last thing to say to get a premium (top of the line MAYBE) character you need 8000 gems. That’s equivalent to $80. Mind you want a solid team of 6 for continues heal & play (If your unclaimed rewards order cooperates that is). So you would need about $500 just to be top tier. The other option is play the game one time a day for 10 minutes & lose interest over time lol When will someone make a legit F2P enjoyable game???.Version: 3.4.5
