Love it but it's lacking ONE featureApp is great but needs to have the feature that you can select apps that won't be locked out. Especially when you're a pro subscriber!!!.Version: 1.1.6

I wanted to love thisIt is sooooo hard to find a good blocker app. This came close. I could handle all my apps being scrambled and needing to rearrange after a session but I can’t ALSO handle having to go into settings and downloading and giving permission for vpn every single time. Going to keep looking.Version: 4.17.1

Good app but it messed up my phoneFlip is a good app that helps me concentrate while i’m studying, however when i’ve finished i don’t receive notifications at all ? I don’t know if this is a common problem but i would like to know how to fix it because even the option to turn on notifications from my ios settings has disappeared. I’ve now deleted the app and will not be reinstalling it until i’ve found a solution to the problem..Version: 3.5.0

No instructionsDon’t know what I’m doing. Do t know how to use this. Where are the instructions??.Version: 4.11.1

How do I get the apps again.I put my phone In that full lock thing and set the time for 5 minutes. It has been 24 hours and I still haven't gotten my apps back. Please someone help. How do I get my old phone back..Version: 2.4.2

DO NOT GETSo i downloaded this app and it was great but then when i used it for the first time my apps never came back and so i had to go into my settings and delete the system from my settings and when i did contact them it took forever for them to reply and all they told me was to try again and they are working on it so i tried it again multiple time and it still never brought my apps back and finally i gave up on the app. THEN my phone started to act really weird (ive had this same phone for almost three years now and have had 0 problems with it) it started blacking out shutting down on its own its not even connecting to my cellular data anymore and im stuck with basically an ipod that continually shuts down. DO NOT GET THIS PLEASEE seriously it damaged my phone that had no problems at all due to this app. I would give it negative stars if i could..Version: 2.4.2

Doesn’t block your appsDownloaded this and paid for it thinking it would block apps for a chosen period of time. It doesn’t do this it just brings up a screen that can be clicked out of Feel like I’ve just wasted money.Version: 4.5.1

Borderline a scamShould clearly say what features you’re getting with a free version of the app in the description. Hard to exit out of the screen that pushes you to pay..Version: 4.22.4

HelpfulPretty nice, I can keep track of my efficient study time but bit pricy for the full functions.Version: 4.22.4

Could be betterWhile I thought that the app wasn’t badly executed, I felt that it could be improved upon. After my first time going into full lock mode, I was shocked to see that my apps were scattered completely out of the order they were sorted into before, causing me to spend an extra ten minutes reorganizing them. Additionally, putting my phone in full lock mode permanently disabled my push notifications for several social media apps, leaving me with no choice but to delete and reinstall them. However, the ability to connect your Flipd Off time to your health app could be pretty useful, and I liked how there was more than one choice when it came to turning off your phone..Version: 2.5.6

At this point they should put it in the paid app section.I used to love this app so much and it really makes me sad to see the direction it’s going in. With every update more and more of the base features of the app get thrown into premium only and now With the latest update it’s not even worth having the app anymore unless you’re willing to pay a bunch of money. Really unfortunate..Version: 3.18.0

It’s become a cash grabI have used this app for a year and a half or so now. It used to be really good, and I found all the features really useful. Now I have to pay even to do a 40 minute session? It's entirely unreasonable and the recent developments to the app have made it completely inaccessible to low income people. We're all students and mostly broke so it seems really quite inconsiderate that an app that was founded on such great principles has now become completely focused on profit..Version: 4.15.0

Idea is good, execution is not great. When you pay for an app, you expect it to work well. I bought this app to help limit the distractions and to help with focus. The app does this by “hiding” all non essential apps on the phone for a specific time that you can choose. The idea is great. But there are a couple of issues. First, you cannot control which apps are the ones you would like to hide. Not all apps are distractions. It would be great to be able to control which apps are hidden. Second, there are issues with the app working for the specified period of time. For example, I set the timer for an hour. An hour goes by and the apps are still hidden. This is an issue that needs to be addressed..Version: 3.27.0

Decent but has room to improveFlipd is great for what it does: keeps your phone on lockdown, so you can stop obsessively playing with it. However, there are a few times I would strongly urge the developers to consider that I think would make the app near perfect. 1. Manual Whitelist: Whether or not this is a slippery slope should be the user’s discretion. I need certain apps to study that are automatically blocked on Full Lock, such as Anki or Quizlet. It would be nice to have this ability to place all my games on Lock while still granting me access to my flashcards. 2. Have the icons in the same place when they return. Everything gets all scrambled up and all the notification settings are reset. This tests my patience. 3. There are times when my apps never return after my set time has expired, and I have to manually go into my settings to uninstall the profile. I am always connected to the internet, so I’m not sure what the problem is, but I hope this can be fixed. These problems are nearly enough for me to consider a different app, so I hope they will be taken seriously. Thank you..Version: 3.9.0

Full lock issuesIssues with full lock. Once downloaded the profile, full lock suddenly occurs and last longer than what I intended ( 1 hour ) the only way I disabled is to remove profile. Once I did that the apps appeared but not in order and ALL NOTIFICATONS DISABLES means you gotta allow notification individually.... or just reinstalls all apps. You don’t know what you’re signing up for :(.Version: 2.5.4

I’m kinda bummed with the new update. Why isn’t the lock thing free guess I’ll stop using the app..Version: 3.19.0

It's messed up my phone!I used it a couple of times before my phone messed up and it was really good, it helped me to become more productive with my school work and I like the concept of it however, I used it earlier today and once the time had finished my apps didn’t re appear, I tried what the app told me to do but it still hasn’t bought back all my social media apps so the only way to go on them is through the App Store! It’s really annoying and I have no clue how to fix it so if anyone knows please tell me, not impressed😩.Version: 3.3.4

My icons! So yesterday I used for first time and loved the FULL LOCKDOWN. I was able to use text, email and phone but nothing else, well camera and standard apps I basically rarely use. I was surprised to find there was no way to disable this at least that I know of. Ok so here is why I gave it only a 3. I have the majority of my icons in a separate folder because I DONT like my screen cluttered with icons! So when my phone went OFF full lockdown ALL OF MY ICONS WERE ALL OVER MY SCREEN!!!!! If you are going to block them PLEASE PIT THEM BACK! Ok so it’s a free app does that give me the right to complain???? I would never pay $7.99 a month though or is it $5.99? I forgot but either one is way too much! Ok so last thing is that you can set an alarm, an alarm that is basically worthless because it is such a faint little “ting” that if you don’t have your phone right next to you it is worthless..... plus I haven’t seen a repeat feature for the alarm so when you miss that tinny ting you can set it to ting again and again till you turn it off. Other then those complaints I really liked it and will use it again. I set the 4 hour mode lockdown and when I need google I wasn’t able to access it but that’s good in one sense I guess... I got a it done!.Version: 3.2.1

Wouldn’t let me use my phone during emergency.During an emergency in which I was assaulted and the police were involved, I wasn’t allowed to use apps like Lyft/Uber or google to make sure I would get home ok or call people in the emergency. I was studying previously and locked Away from my phone for 4-5 hrs. This was in 2019 I am redownloading because my phone addiction has been getting bad again, but I really hope to god that you can use emergency apps because the experience I went through was completely unacceptable. Developers should be aware of the practicality of an app when disabling functions such as google, Lyft/Uber or phone calling. I was lucky I could borrow a phone then but I seriously don’t understand how some important functions on my phone weren’t allowed..Version: 4.14.1

I love this app, when it works…This app is amazing, i don’t care about the locked content, because the basics are free. I just want to use the pomodoro timer! Now my problem, every time i use it as soon as the first break is over it crashes, and i can’t open it. It opens then crashes i open it then it crashes so on until I realize it is futile. The only way to fix this problem is to delete it then redownload it, but that is to much work and to disruptive for a productivity timer. I literally have to put my school down to write this review. Flipd please fix this i love this app but it is unusable!.Version: 4.22.4

Please help! This app looks so helpful but I can’t open it without it crashing!!!!! PLEASE READ.Version: 4.22.8

ScaredSo I downloaded this to try to use it while I was studying. I set a 30 minute timer and I was left with just Apple apps. This thing scared me. It like you download it self and I couldn’t get my apps back, I was so scared and I spent my studying time figuring out how to disable it without the app. If this out go to settings and remove its access profile. Trust me this got my apps back. Don’t try shutting/powering it off that doesn’t help (I tried that twice.) I will try this app again and if it works I will raise my review to a 5 if it works and the company responds to me. If the company doesn’t respond my review stays a 1. *edit* I tried this again and the app didn’t show up it disappeared when I did the full lock down the app Flipid disappeared and I couldn’t get out of full lock down so one again I had to go to settings and remove the management. I don’t have time to do this every time I go in lock down. Also I think the price is too much it should be the price of 1 month forever and I think that doing the custom times should be free. Also the developers are slow they still haven’t responded and it’s been a couple of days. I’m at the point where I’m going to delete this app. It’s not worth any more of my time..Version: 3.14.0

Don't go there.Unusual customer relations strategy: I lodged a request for a refund for a premium purchase I had not authorized. I did not receive a reply to my communication, but I did receive *463* identical emails spruiking the perks of flipd premium. Passive aggressive or an unusual accident? The app's okay, only stats on time spent off the phone, no stats on time spent on. I can't access the premium features even though I've now paid for them..Version: 3.10.2

Someone else can control your phone remotelyWhile installing this app, message appears that administrator can control your phone remotely. He can collect your personal data, add and remove account, erase data from your phone remotely. So, someone else have full access of your phone if I have this app installed on my phone. 👎☹️☹️.Version: 3.11.1

Good but could be a lot betterIt would be so much more helpful if the app had a todo list with subtasks. Feel like this is something crucially missing.Version: 4.22.3

ScamI paid for premium so I can access more features WITH FULL LOCK. HOWEVER, after downloading the MDM profile I still couldn’t not get full lock to appear. The Developers could have said something about taking out full lock, meaning that the things they advertise are a scam as the ‘full lock’ that it is suppose to have is taken out. This means that I read the app info which talks about having full lock before downloading the app, then to later discover that there is not full lock! I wasted money on premium! They lied....Version: 3.18.1

Used to Love This!I honestly used to use Flipd every day for school, work and reading and made so much progress! I recommended it to my entire family because I was feeling so inspired by all the progress I was making. Recently, Flipd changed all the other modes (like “My Day” “Study” and “Sleep”) to be limited to the paid subscription, leaving the 40 minute option. I was so disappointed that I actually reached out to recommend that they bring back the more flexible modes, and there was an update released the next day that restored the original version. Now, it’s back to the limited paid version. I am still searching for a replacement and I really am so disappointed that they changed it, it was to be the only effective way for me to unplug and get stuff done!.Version: 3.19.0

Needs improvementWhy is there no dark mode? Also, it would be extremely helpful if there was a sound/alarm when the time was up..Version: 3.31.5

Was great but the latest update is problematicThis app is, or was, good if you are overcoming a bit of phone addiction. Full lock mode has great promise, but is irritating because once the apps are restored you will be reminded to turn on notifications for all of them, every time you have used full lock mode. Even more annoyingly, since either the latest app or iOS update (I’m not sure which) apps are left in disarray after each full lock session, despite following the steps that are meant to preserve your organisation. The app has great potential, but my advice at the moment would be to avoid paying the upgrade fee. I for one am regretting I ever did..Version: 3.16.3

DisappointedIt’s March and still no update. This used to be one of my fav apps..Version: 3.18.1

Full lock unavailableWhen will full lock come back?.Version: 3.18.1

Incorrect Study TimesI have been using Flipd for months (since this summer earlier, and it is now March and I have not even touched another app). I love the calming art and aesthetics of the app, and the ability to track different subjects, times per week, goals, etc..and to make different timers, stopwatches, and pomodoro clocks. The issue I have is that the timer tracks incorrectly...I studied from 01:26 to 04:46, and yet the timer listed my study time to be 00:46 to 05:26, when in reality it is not even 5 am right now.... This disrupts my perception of productivity and is very upsetting. But the app is wonderful, and I have faith that it will be fixed soon! 😊.Version: 4.22.3

Phone gets stuck in Flipd mode when I need my Amtrak pass and other work related appsI would love to give this app 5 stars and was on my way to do just that, until I put my phone on Flipd mode for the night (8 hours.) when I woke up, it was still in Flipd mode. I thought I miscalculated my time. But I didn’t. For the WHOLE DAY, my phone stayed stuck, I couldn’t access my Slack, work mail apps and the other excruciatingly important functions of my phone. I had to get my monthly commute pass printed out because I couldn’t get my Amtrak pass. And I had no way to communicate with my co-workers on my commute. Nightmare. I emailed them from my laptop later the day. No response. At 5pm I had it, and googled it, and figured out a way to get into the system and delete Flipd’s override. To this day they still haven’t contacted me after my email cry for help. I thought perhaps it was just my phone that were funky and reinstall everything to make the app run smooth. 2 days later it happened again. GUYS - this is really pathetic. Yes - I need to take a break from my phone. But when the time is up, I have work related apps I need to access..Version: 3.3.3

ProblematicThe app seemed to work fine however I keep all my apps in folder so it was very annoying when my study session was over and I had to re-organize all of them. Also, this app has really messed up my notifications. All my apps are asking me to turn them back on and when I press yes and I get redirected to settings, there is no button to turn notifications on. It is as if this app is still haunting my phone even after I deleted it after realising the hour of no distractions was not worth the problems afterwards..Version: 3.4.0

Fix NotificationsI love the app and it deserves 5 stars, but one major thing ruins the experience. After going into full lock mode, it messes up all the notifications of third party apps such as Snapchat and Facebook. Even after you re enter the app and re enable notifications, they don’t work. Fix this and get 5 stars..Version: 3.8.0

Seemed great at firstUsed it briefly and was a bit concerned about giving the app full remote control of my phone.. felt a bit wrong- but i did anyway. then it worked fine and went off full lock after the 5minute test. however.. it turns all the notifications off permanently and you can’t manually turn them back on unless the app you open asks you to (instagram doesn’t ask about notifications again unless you uninstall and then reinstall). I tried erasing my settings to get the notifications back - that didn’t work, i deleted the app and profile configuration that uses the remote access in settings - that didn’t work. so i ended up backing up my phone to icloud and factory resetting it!! very inconvenient and i definitely won’t be using again.Version: 3.16.1

Great concept but app needs workApp would not exit “full focus” mode sometimes but will eventually exit. Today it didn’t and I had to remove the profile which now made all my apps out of order. Very annoying. Update: developer seems to have zero understanding of the problem. Yes removing the profile will restore the apps back, which is what I did, but it still doesn’t solve the issue with all apps being completely out of order. I think the developers should acknowledge that they have an issue and have yet to solve it instead of pointing user to a FAQ even though they have gone through the necessary steps to resolve the issue. Resolving issue #1 created an even more frustrating issue #2. *** to * for not acknowledging user’s frustration..Version: 2.4.2

Does the job.. sortaHappy to pay premium for full lock (ie blocking access to all apps), and more than 30 mins, but each time I come out of it, many apps ask me for permissions as if they have just been freshly downloaded including Flipd itself which also has me having to restore my purchase (for all features) every third or so time. Paid for a month. Might try an alternative after that expires..Version: 2.5.4

Not at all use friendlyI am not technically challenged at all but I cannot for the life of me work this app out. There are no instructions and the settings the “blog” refers to are impossible to find. I don’t get it! I am trialing the Premium version but I definitely won’t be buying it. Pretty useless..Version: 3.18.1

Flipd is terribleSo I set my flipd to four hours so I could study well however after the four hours were up and I knew that they were up bc I checked the time that I set it my apps did not reappear. I waited another couple hours for them to come back but they never did and I just had to disable the management through settings. However now, forgetting about all that and passing it as a glitch, I decided to set my phone to a full lock session again except it literally won’t do anything and I’m sitting there waiting for the full lock session to begin but It simply won’t. This app only works fine for the first few times you use it but after that it just gets bad and constantly glitches and doesn’t work properly. I would not recommend this app because it doesn’t work properly..Version: 3.3.2

I was exposed to fraudsters campaignWhen trying the app, I was directed to subscribe to yearly submission for over 40 pounds. I was not given option to try the app without paying as I realised later. I didn't even try the app because I realised I am being charged. I rised the complain and was assured that I will be given money back. 3 months down the road and nothing happened. I advise to be cautions when dealing with this company. You do not want to be victim of either their bugs or awkward marketing practises..Version: 4.21.0

Not that greatThe feature that disables other apps is quite buggy. I wanted to test the feature to see if it worked or not so I disabled my apps for 5 minutes. After 5 min had passed, the apps still did not return. 2 min later they still didn’t return. I started to look for ways to stop this and finally I went into settings and removed this app from profiles. Later, I wanted to let the app try again but I couldn’t install this app back in profiles (though that’s probably a settings bug). I haven’t tried out the other features yet but from the tutorial it seems like a pretty good app. I am very excited to see the rest of the app but please fix the buggy feature. Thank you!.Version: 3.16.1

Works well- except full lockI really enjoy this app! I feel more productive when I use it, it really helps keep me off my phone. However, when I use the full lock option, my apps won’t return after the allotted amount of time is up. On the FAQ it says it’s due to poor internet connection, but my phone works totally fine with the WiFi connected. I’ve also tried it without being connected to WiFi and it still won’t work properly. I then have to delete the profile, which rests all the notification settings for my apps and is very annoying. Other than that, this app works great! It’s just a shame the full lock doesn’t work because I think it would have been really useful..Version: 2.4.2

Schedule/reminder needs to change to automatically tune onWhat’s the point of having to pay $3.99 a month to just have “unlimited reminders”of turning on the “flip off” on my phone? I can just set unlimited reminders on my phone calendar app (and it’s free!). People who has phone addiction need to have mandatory schedule to “flip off” their phones. Most of us don’t have the will power to “flip off” the phone that’s why we download the Flipd in the first place. Also the reminder is rather weak because it’s only a one time notification. If we don't have our phone in our hand at the exact set time, we would miss the notification. This Reminder itself is simply not effective enough. Setting up a “flip off” schedule is a commitment upfront. After a reminder asking if we want flip off our phone, there should be an option to opt out (no, I don’t want to flip out”) instead of opt in (yes, I want to flip out). So that if we don’t do anything that means we agree on our set schedule and the phone should automatically turn “flip off”, not the other way around. The app did good on the technology of hacking our phones and hiding all the apps, but not so good at behavior change strategies. I won’t be paying another $3.99 for the pointless reminder..Version: 2.5.6

BugsThis app would be such a great idea if it actually worked! It works well when I’m trying to concentrate and hides all second party apps, but then when they all come back after the hour, it redownloads every app I’ve ever downloaded back onto my phone??.Version: 3.16.4

Fix this please! As app developers there are so many better ways you can make money and make the premium version better than it is. Capping the timer at 40 mins for the free version is not it. At least change it to an hour… There is no point of using this app because the premium features aren’t worth the price, and the free version is locked out. I have to keep resetting it every 40 minutes which gets me out of my flow. My friends and I want to use this app but it’s not worth it for either the free or premium version..Version: 4.22.3

Fix this for iPhone users pleaseFor iPhone users it rearranged your apps and gets rid of folders you have made. If this function didn’t exist it would be a decent app, but it’s so annoying to rearrange your phone after every use of this app..Version: 3.0.5

GoodIts a good time management tool. However, I can’t keep track of all my tasks since I can’t name all of them. I can only “tag” tasks which is good but I actually want to know whAt I’ve been working on in retrospect..Version: 4.19.10

Probably as good as full lock can get given iOS limitations(I was looking for an app that could achieve a true lock down of non-essential apps. I only tried the 5 minute lock down on this app once, and haven’t used the app since.) As many others have said, full lock is an excellent idea but not great in execution. Others complained about the apps being out of order - that was fine for me. What I can’t live with is having my notification settings reset every time I get back from lock mode. I assume this is how the app works: they achieve lock mode by uninstalling and reinstalling all of your applications. The profile you install gives their servers access to control your phone remotely - which is why an internet connection is necessary. However, it seems that the scope of what they can control is limited - most likely due to iOS’s own limitations. The additional script you download seems to be a workaround to reorganize your apps as you had before, but it doesn’t restore your notification preferences on the apps that were un/reinstalled. Your apps give you the “allow notifications” pop-up next time you go into each of them. If you are OK with default notification settings, maybe this is a limitation you can live with. I customize the notifications for each app and I am not willing to readjust those every time I use lock down..Version: 3.12.0

Not workingI enter the time I want to be "flipped off", press the button and then go do my thing. After a while I come back and check and it say's I've completed a whopping 0%!! It keeps happening and I tried both locking my screen and leaving it on to auto lock and it still does it..Version: 2.0.5

Bug fix plsA good app and everything but it won’t let me lock my phone or else the session will end. it uses up a lot of battery.Version: 4.3.1

I also wish it had auto lockI have no self control. I need to be able to set a time in the app - say, 10 pm, when the app will lock me out of all of the “fun” apps that distract me and keep me from going to sleep. Until this app does that, I can’t give it five stars. Also, setting a reminder to turn the lock on doesn’t even seem to really work - I don’t get a sound or anything. I have the premium version and I’ve tried changing around my notification settings, but I can’t seem to get it to generate a reminder that catches my attention. Also, when you use the full lock mode, even if you have the other additional patch app installed, all of your notification settings in all of your other apps reset. This is annoying. Please fix because I really need this app. Thx..Version: 3.1.0

ScamTook away full lock mode only to make it on a separate app and to charge $16 a month for it, pretty much useless now.Version: 3.19.0

BuggyKept loading on starting a timer, didn’t load..Version: 4.2.0

Moved my apps😡I downloaded this app thinking this could be great to get rid of distractions and I use the fully off switch twice and the second time it completely rearranges all my apps by taking them out of their fingers and just on my screen Thanks for making me waste 20 minutes reorganizing all my apps😡.Version: 3.16.4

Brilliant but a downside xI saw this app on my friends story on snapchat and thought this looks good I'll try it, it's Relaxing, sets goals to do , keeps you calm in times your stressed but the thing I don't like is that you can only have certain things on there and you have to pay to have and do certain things on the app which is annoying but you should definitely download the app as the campfire sounds and meditations like 'breath as a wave' just gives you that calmness you can do it wherever you are ! But you do have to pay for the other 3 meditations over all brilliant app !.Version: 3.2.1

Deceptive “free” trial is not free.Claims that you can have a 7 day “free” trial of the full app - but if you do, they’ll charge you more later. That’s not free..Version: 3.19.0

Can’t access full lockI have given permissions to the app but can not install the organiser. This means I can not access the full lock. How do I fix this?.Version: 2.5.6

Not really freeSave yourself the trouble and just use pomofocus.io Nearly all of the features are paid. I literally can’t even pause a Pomodoro timer. As soon as you tap it, it pops up with the “Upgrade” window. Seriously, just charge for the app if none of the features are free, instead of wasting my time downloading and deleting it..Version: 4.20.1

Issues inside the appA few weeks after getting the app, it started glitching and not working, for example, whenever i open the app, and swipe down to check my notifications or just turn it off when it’s in a session, the app freezes and i have to restart it every time, the app used to be so productive and helpful however honestly, I’m quite disappointed about this issue. I hope this issue gets resolved, thank you for your time..Version: 3.26.1

Way to expensive! 👎👎👎Seriously what’s with all these apps that make you continue to pay and subscribe, just make a fixed price! 👎👎👎👎.Version: 2.2.1

Shouldn’t be forced to payIt will not let you try the app unless you pay. The description as to what the app does is not very clear until you’re in. I paid the monthly only to find this app might not be for me. THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM MANY YEARS AGO!! Avoid my mistakes and dont get this app if you’re not looking for a fancy timer!.Version: 4.23.2

Big ProblemAt first the app seemed quite good as it let me shut down my phone so that I could focus on whatever I actually needed to do such as homework or just so that I can focus on studies and myself. However I realised quickly that the app had some problems such as after the timer finishing all of my push notifications would be restarted so when I entered an app it asked to don’t/allow push notifications, but that is just the small problem, around 10:30am I thought I’d shut my phone off for 4 hours for a study period however this kept my phone locked until 5 when then I thought maybe I locked it for 8 hours however when it turned to 9pm and I was still unable to use any of my main apps I had to restart my phone by erasing all my content. This was a massive pain as I had to save all of my photos to a usb before hand and then saving everything to iCloud (however this was not possible). I hope this gets fixed by the app developers because it’s a massive problem which will lead to them loosing all their customers. And people be aware that your taking this risk when downloading the app..Version: 3.3.5

Stay On Task!Straightforward to use and a good motivator to stay on task!.Version: 2.3.7

TerribleUnclear how to use. Limited functionality.Version: 2.0.6

I wanted to like this app...This app is almost perfect. I could see this really helping me achieve my goals by helping me get off my phone so much. I didn’t even have issues with my apps getting oh of order like others mentioned. However, the nuisance of having my notification settings reset every single time you go into “full lockdown” is enough for me to delete this app. There’s no easy fix for this. Every time to go into a different app the app prompts you if you’d like to turn notifications on or off as it does when you first install an app. And whatever your settings were for the notifications before full lockdown gets erased. For example: for my email app, I only have the badge notifications turned on. After using full lockdown and selecting “allow notifications” I then got a default notification (with sound) every single time I got an email. Which is like every other minute. Which caused me to look at my phone to see why it vibrated/made noise. The exact opposite of what I’m trying to accomplish..Version: 3.4.0

BrokenThis version has stopped working. Do not update to this version..Version: 2.0.4

Every Update locks more features that you need premium forI downloaded this app a long time ago because I’m a student who really struggles with time management and staying focused in general on anything. This app truly helped me set my phone aside and set out long blocks of time where I could forget it existed. Unfortunately as most makers of apps do, they shifted solely to how they could profit off of people and decided to lock more and more features. The once simple layout that alllowed everyone to set focus sessions for 1-4 hours has now decreased to only 40minute sessions. There is a large base of app users that are excluded from the quality of this app because it is unaffordable for students or other who cannot pay to use a timer for more than 40 minutes. To add insult to injury the app is now completely cluttered with grabs for your attention in other places to market premium purchase. I really relied on this to help me get through times when procrastination was pushing me down, and it is sad that this app can no longer provide those services for stretches of time that are actually useful. I wish I had not updated it and I wouldn’t have if I checked other reviews or had a way of knowing how it’d changed for the worse. That being said if you are able to afford premium then I’m confident it would be a different experience. It is a great app that lost its way a bit and cluttered itself too much. I will be deleting it now that I have seen the new update..Version: 4.18.4

Disappointed with updatesI used to love this app but recently it’s obvious that all of the good features have been moved to premium. This is pretty disappointing. I’m not going to pay for premium - I’ll just use the app less..Version: 3.18.1

Terrible Customer ServiceI attempted to contact their customer service email regarding an overcharge for the subscription price and I have yet to hear any word from them. I’m not even able to cancel my recurring monthly subscription from this company by email. No one ever replies. Ridiculous customer service and I would stay away from this company at all costs. Use your money elsewhere..Version: 3.32.0

Trial need to be free, not 3 times more the monthly fee …The app is just a tracker of activity, and priced so expensive. Why you charge 3 times more the first 3 months at once ? I had to spend just a couple minutes with this pro-features to release that That’s not what I’m looking for, but too bad I have paid 3 months trial for trouble the price ??? What is that a scam or what ?.Version: 4.18.11

Full lock - Apps in Order feature didn’t work during iOS upgradeVery frustrating to have apps not organized after Full lock mode. I downloaded and installed the workaround to keep apps organized. After two failed attempts it worked...until I installed the iOS 12 update while on Full Lock. I put into Full Lock at bedtime to avoid peaking at the phone in the middle of the night. The workaround app disappeared during the update and all my apps were in disarray (for now the third time). Putting things back in order and the associated frustration is very annoying and totally detracts from the app experience. Any zen calm freed from the distraction of the phone have been superseded by the app mess cleanup efforts..Version: 3.1.0

UselessYou know I can pause a regular iPhone timer without paying for it, right? Not in this app apparently, you CAN’T PAUSE. Embarrassing petty greed.Version: 4.19.7

Okay app, but kinda a scam?I’ve had this app for about a year now, and I can’t afford to go premium. They had several modes for free, such as custom mode (set your own time), 4 hours, 1 hour, 8 hours, etc. Today I opened the app (after about a week of not using it, as I’ve been taking some time off) only to find that all of the modes have been locked. The only mode I can use is the 40 min mode for free, which is unhelpful as that’s not long enough for me (I prefer the 1 hour or 4 hour modes). Premium costs £35 a month, which is so expensive! Why did you take all the modes off the free version Flipd? I’m so unhappy, this app is the only thing that keeps me off my phone and gets me to focus. How else am I supposed to track how often and much I study? It’s stupid, don’t bother getting it unless you can afford premium..Version: 3.18.0

More features should be free.Obviously locking yourself out of your phone is going to improve productivity, which it does. However, increasingly, more and more of the features have now become premium. You used to be able to choose any time under 30 mins for free, but now the only options are 5 minutes and 30 minutes, plus the preset time lengths for studying, sleep etc. There are also many other basic features that should be free and for this reason, I uninstalled the app as it is now less useful. For basic features, it is extortionate to pay £1.83/month if you choose the yearly option. (if you choose the monthly option it's about double this).Version: 3.0.2

Ask for money after you download itSubscription service for this? You kidding me.Version: 4.10.1

Wonderful app but...It’s crashed badly, I haven’t been able to access my groups or my own personal stats so I deleted the app and along with it went my stats in my phone everything is reset plus I can’t access my groups and in app personal stats. It’s becoming frustrating and I hope whatever is wrong is fixed soon. But when it is working the app is one of my most used apps and has become a real positive influence in my life!.Version: 3.10.2

It’s slow and laggy - unusableThis app used to be really good and useful. I sadly had to uninstall it due to it being unusable due to the slow loading times. On a good day it takes me more than 2-5mins just for the app to load. Most of the time the app just freezes on the loading screen, but this is a common occurrence. I don’t know what the devs have done since the last update but this needs to be fixed. I’m using an updated iPhone XS on the latest iOS. It isn’t my internet either as I have fast internet..Version: 4.23.2

Not good unless you payPaywall is crazy, can’t even change timers unless you pay..Version: 4.22.6

Don’t use full lock mode!I used full lock mode and then cancelled it by going to preferences on my iPhone’s settings as it says on their website. It deleted all of my apps off of the notifications page on settings so I couldn’t receive notifications from any of them. Half the apps when I reopened the app it said “allow ..... to send notifications” like it does when I first download the app so I click allow and it’s fine again, but half the apps that pop up didn’t come up so I had to redownload the app which took me about half an hour to redownload them all..Version: 3.3.4

Too Many Locked FeaturesWhen I first started using Flipd, I found it incredibly useful. However, I watched over time as they slowly hid more of their features under the premium subscription. At first, I was able to tolerate the changes. For example, the change from unlimited breaks with every Flipd session to only one break allowed without a premium subscription wasn’t too bad for me. I decided that it would be best to take less breaks anyway. However, today it was the last straw. I discovered that all sessions longer than 40 minutes have been locked under the premium subscription. While I used to be able to go a few hours to a whole day at a time, now I can’t even spend an hour in a Flipd session. The only way for me to extend the session would be to constantly start a new one every 40 minutes. This is very inefficient, especially since I use Flipd to help me stay focused on homework for long periods of time. I am finding it increasingly less useful than it was before without upgrading to premium. I am in high school and currently unable to get a premium subscription. All I ask is for the sessions longer than 40 minutes to be made available for everyone again, or at least the 1 hour and 4 hour sessions. Flipd has been so helpful for me in the past, and I’d hate to lose so much from such a great tool. If you can make these longer sessions available without premium, it would be immensely appreciated. Thanks so much!.Version: 3.20.1

Good but missing some desired featuresI am finding the app useful, but there are a few features I wish it had. One would be a timer option rather than having to always set specific time goals. Another being the option to input time spent on specific tasks after the fact. I’d also like to have the option for “breaks” during a session to delay the count down on the allotted time goal rather than eating into it. Finally, I wish it had a more comprehensive interface for viewing, setting and tracking progress on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals; and a page for viewing/reviewing scheduled daily reminders. Maybe what I’m looking for is beyond the intended scope of this app, but it just seems so close to being capable of bigger picture goal tracking that I can’t help but wish they would just take it those couple of steps further. Plus I just like the app’s overall design aesthetic. It’s cute and fun, but I’m looking for something with a little more depth :P.Version: 3.23.0

Good aim but brutal executionJust so so so many little bugs I had my hopes up but so many glitches in scheduling work times into the calendar or into the pie chart or just glitches in allocating study time to the times in the day you actually studied Getting random numbers of study time for like 72 hours in a day when u logged 2 and things of the like Support team is literally unreachable which is frustrating.Version: 4.22.3

Unsecured?Seems like an excellent concept, design is excellent and clear, however you cannot stop yourself from going on different apps until you download external settings from an unverified source that has the potential to access your private data, delete or alter accounts etc etc. I will be using the app without that feature until i can ensure the safety of my phone which is a shame because the lock feature is why I downloaded this app..Version: 3.3.3

Doesn’t Do What It SaysThis app allows the user to simply delete the profile to regain access to all their apps in less than a few seconds making it virtually useless. Very unhappy I wasted my money, seeking a refund..Version: 3.16.4

NotificationsAt first, the app was so useful. It helped me focus and stay off my technology. However, after I put it in full lock mode ONCE for 5 minutes, obviously all of my apps disappeared and notifications were turned off. I still cannot seem to turn on my notifications for things like snapchat, Instagram, and even messages. It is a huge pain, i have even tried erasing all of my settings and it still won’t work. I deleted the app and turned off full lock mode, still not working..Version: 3.16.4

Good app but...I’ve had flipd for a few months for free and really enjoyed it. I recommended it to people who just wanted to stay off their phone while studying etc. I personally use it for reading or studying, which will usually be 30minutes for one set time then repeated. And in the day I put on ‘my day’ to keep me off my phone. But today when I went on for a night mindfulness session, I noticed all free modes are completely locked except for the 40 minutes focus. This for me is not enough, and is quite poor for lots of features to be payed for that were just free. I don’t know why this had happened, and I would request that these features become accessible again. This has unfortunately left me no other choice than to find another app..Version: 3.18.0

Good idea, bad executionI was super excited about this app because I have such a problem with being productive because I just can’t put my phone down. I put it on the full lock mode to where it would hide all my apps for an hour and I loved it and was so productive in that hour. However, when the hour was up and my apps reappeared, they were in alphabetical order and not in the folders I had them all in. I had to re-sign in to a couple apps as well as restore notification settings to multiple other apps. All of that drove me crazy and I would not want to have to re-organize my phone every single time I use the app. Makes me sad, I really wanted this app to work. Fix the app restoration problem and I’ll be back for sure!.Version: 2.5.6

BuggyI purchased this app and cannot access premium features - log out and then sign in again, couldn’t do so either! Really disappointed. I used this app before, it’s nice at first but later after full lock session your apps sometimes won’t come back, a bit panicky.Version: 3.3.2

Pretty good except for….So, i’ll start by saying I generally love this app, there is 1 thing keeping me from buying the year pass actually. That one thing is that the weekly stats are completely wrong, I’m not studying at 1 am, and the chart keeps saying that’s when i’m studying, when you look at the stuff individually, not in the chart, it seems correct though. Yes I know it’s a 24 hour clock, it still is showing up wrong and I have no idea why. Also, for example, I have not studied today, but it’s showing yesterdays hours as todays hours, which makes no sense. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed . Otherwise the app is wonderful but i can’t justify spending money on an app that isn’t showing things correctly..Version: 4.19.10

FreedomThis app was alright when I first downloaded and previously provided the ability to obfuscate apps. Unfortunately, after exiting the session it rearranged all my apps making in difficult to navigate my phone. This feature was useful for limiting distractions. However, recent updates removed this feature and now only has limited sessions that require you to stay in the application. I enjoy listening to music during my workday and need access to other essential applications. If you're looking for an app that will not interrupt your iOS experience look at the Freedom app, you can essentially configure to block data traffic for social media apps/ non-essential websites. As a young-professional, I need to be able to use my phone but also want to the freedom to limit my distractions. The Freedom application provides this flexibility. I do not recommend using the Flipd app or subscribing to their premium offering, features are severely limited and don't satisfy the use-case your looking to solve..Version: 3.20.0

Full Lock Mode needs workI was excited when I found Full Lock Mode, because it would hide all my apps like Facebook and Snapchat, apps that i’m pretty addicted to, even though I hate to admit it. And they’re completely gone, including Flipd, so you can’t change your mind halfway through a session. The only problems are: 1. I can’t control what apps get hidden. And they’re completely gone, so I’m glad I did a trial run the first time I tried. But this led to my texting app WhatsApp, that I primarily text my boyfriend on, disappeared. Again, glad I tested it before I did longer sessions. 2. When your session is over, it adds back all your apps. BUT, they’re completely out of order and thrown about like a two-year old got into your phone. So, it took me about fifteen minutes to put things back in folders and rearrange everything. So, because this part of the app is so broken, it’s not worth using to me, so I won’t use it until it’s updated. I love the other parts of the app, like the study breaks and stuff, where it just tracks how long you’ve been off your phone, with little breaks for necessity..Version: 3.0.2

Fix bugMy home screen got unorganized after the time was up. All my folders disappeared and the apps are scattered all over the place. Please fix..Version: 3.0.4

Great app, full lock mode needs adjustingI like the app but I wish there was a way you could choose which apps disappeared for the full lock mode. Just because I want to stay off of Instagram doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t need to use Venmo or check my email at random times for work. I also don’t like how once the apps reappear they’re all disheveled and out of the order they were in previous to locking them. It makes it hard to find the apps I need every time the full lock mode is over. I love the ambient noise options it has for quiet time. It just stinks that I can only use full lock mode if I know for sure I won’t have any work to do..Version: 3.1.1

DisappointedWhen I first got the app I had a couple of options. I hadn’t used the app in a while to come back to only having one option and the rest is premium. Super disappointing. If the only option I have disappears then so will the app from my phone!.Version: 3.18.1

Room to improveThis app is fantastic but there are a few flaws that let it down: • I have been getting a bug where my apps do not return after the full lock time expires. I have to remove the device management and reinstall it to use full lock again... This has happened several times now. The next points lay mostly with apples restrictions but are still worth mentioning... • I have to sacrifice Googles MDM profile to use flipd on full lock. Which I do to help me stay focused. However it’s a big sacrifice for me because I manage my entire business through google apps. • There is no whitelisting option available. Apps which are not distractions at all are blocked on full lock which can be a hinderance..Version: 2.4.2

Useless if you’re working on the same deviceI love the idea of the app and some of the features - it should be exactly what I need to help focus on my thesis. But the fact that it can’t run in the background or over other apps renders it useless for me, and probably for many others. Conducting research in lockdown means reading ebooks, PDF’s etc, which I do on my iPad. If I start a Flipd session, and then open Docs or a pdf reader, the timer pauses immediately. I can’t run it and focus on work, which defeats the point. Judging from other reviews, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just another basic function that you only get with a subscription..Version: 3.32.0

Have to keep the app openPerhaps I misunderstand. I study online and thought this app could help me to focus and track my study time. But, the app has to be kept open and in the foreground. If I minimise the app so I can log into my study group, the app stops working!! I could run it on my iPhone while I use my iPad, but that’s no good if I’m on a break at work and want to study on my iPhone..Version: 3.26.2

Not too sure about this appI got this app as a way to help me stay focused during my study time for my GCSES which are obviously very important. I set the app up ready for the next day to start my studying but the app locked all of my apps for no reason. I know this is main point of this app but I was really concerned as whenever I tried to turn it off it would automatically turn back on again and when I deleted it from my phone it would reinstall itself. I won’t be using an app like this again as I’ve had to reset my iPhone and I still have VPN from this app installed on my phone.Version: 3.3.3

Room for ImprovementThis app does exactly what it says it does: It hides all downloaded apps and notifications from those apps for the amount of time the user specifies. So far, so good. However, the apps come back arranged in a different order (unless you happen to arrange your apps in quasi-alphabetical order), and there is no way to customize which apps are hidden. For example, I have downloaded an app to help me manage the medications I take, and I don't have access to it while Flipd is doing its thing. On the other hand, I would have an easier time focusing if I did not have access to the iTunes or App store, and those apps are not hidden. So, while it's a good concept, I haven't found it all that useful..Version: 3.16.4

15 seconds and deletedReally not user friendly ! Deleted !.Version: 3.20.1

Extra settings for premium customersI have read a couple of reviews from premium customers. And I agree. I would love to be able to set my phone for certain times of the day that it should shut off. I don’t always have the self-control to shut it off myself. And I would love to be able to set it ahead of time for what times in the week I want it to be off and what times I want it to be on. PLEASE please please fix this!!!! It would make this app 110% useful It would also be nice if we could chose what apps we want to shut off. There are certain apps I want to close down but also certain apps I need to keep active due to school work but Flipd closes them down. I would a LOOOOOOVE to be able to pick exactly what apps we have to close and which ones will stay active!!!!.Version: 3.0.3

DO NOT INSTALL!!App went on a full lock down for more than the time set. I managed to delete it but after all my apps got removed from my home screen and I couldn’t open them using anything, even my actual AppStore and Safari were removed. I couldn’t fix it so I had to completely restart and set my iPhone up as a new one. The time I gained while I was off my phone was wasted the next day trying to fix my phone and rearranging everything etc. So please don’t install as the app has full control over your phone and you never know what might happen. If I could give this zero stars I would..Version: 2.4.2

Not the sameUsed to love this app, now they are turning everything into paid subscription..Version: 3.24.0

Holds your productivity hostage for money.Brilliantly designed app and the features are interesting, but all of that is useless when everything leads to a premium splash screen. You can’t even study for longer than 40 minutes without paying! There’s a difference between locking features that are actually premium, and artificially locking things like TIMERs. I’ve paid for many apps that boost my productivity, but don’t want to give money to a company that literally holds your productivity hostage. Also, $6/month for a glorified timer has to be a joke..Version: 4.22.1

Too much premiumWhen I first got this app it had very few, if any, premium features, and the app was simple to use. Then I got a new phone and couldn’t find the app. Now I have the app again but there’s been some big changes to it and no instructions on how to use it. I don’t think I’m getting the most out of this app anymore. It’s still a useful tool, but having to lock my phone every half hour while trying to break the habit of constantly looking at my phone is making things difficult..Version: 2.4.1

Improvements need to be made!I’m gonna be honest, I absolutely loved this app when I first got it. The ability to temporarily remove apps for a set amount of time has been amazing in helping me focus on revising for my exams. However, there are two quite significant problems which are really letting me down: (1) once the timer is done and the apps return, they return to the iOS default order (they are ordered alphabetically) which is especially annoying if you like to use folders; (2) push notifications are disabled for the apps which were removed and the only way to get them back isn’t by going into settings, but by deleting the app and then reinstalling the app- an incredibly painful process! I don’t know if these two issues can’t be fixed because of the way Apple programmes iOS but I really hope that they can be solved in the future!.Version: 2.5.4

Full lock doesn't work well on iPadFull lock doesn't work on iPad and it is so easily removed as to make it useless..Version: 3.5.2
