✓ It’s way better than I expected!Being the boring person I am, I started looking for some fire wallpaper apps I could really use. Most of them were trash, some were scammers with horrible grammar, and others just didn’t wow me. I got here thinking this would be another flop of an app, only to be super surprised with the pictures and quality! I love this app so so much. Sure, the selection of photos could be expanded, but hey! Improvement is necessary for almost everything. Love the app! ✓ PHENOMENAL WallpapersDo you have *any* idea how long it’s taken me to find a mobile wallpaper app this good?? Vellum is epic. Seriously. You know that thing wallpaper apps do where there’s an obtrusive ad that appears every 3 wallpapers you open, then beg you to subscribe to their weekly premium subscription to make it stop? And how the walls you do get are either not sized correctly to the phone, or only 100kb with the “””4K””” being SO pixelated it looks like an upscaled 240p image? Well Vellum’s images fit my iPhone Pro Max Super Plus-Utra Supreme edition or whatever it is, MOST (not all, but the majority) of the images are crisp and clean and they’re ALL amazing looking. Gone are the days of 90% of images being boring and skippable. This app ONLY has excellent pics. I would use 99% of them daily if I could. Sadly I don’t have 1000 phones all needing wallpapers. EVEN THE ADS aren’t intrusive and I DESPISE ads!!! Apart from the occasional full screen google ad and a bottom banner, the app does bug you to pay its £1.59 premium fee a lot (maybe every 5+ wallpapers you look at has this pop up) and while mildly annoying, it’s easy to close. I mean, though, for the quality of what’s here I encourage you to support these guys, they really have done something amazing here. For how intentional they’ve been to NOT annoy their audience? We should be throwing money at them. Devs: you’ve done something amazing here, you should be SO proud..Version: 1.7.0

The free app is great but I ended up paying the $2 to get the premium one. ✓ Pretty photo art, app confusingI like the photos. I find the app confusing to use. I can’t seem to find instructions on how to use it. This makes it less appealing because it feels like I’m looking at art gallery photos. (That look, but don’t touch experience). It’s not as interactive as I thought. I can’t zoom in to get a closer view. While there are icons for putting a picture on the home or lock screen, these seem like just a preview feature....I think apps that rely on intuitive application of their product, can lose customers. ✓ Awesome wallpapersVellum is a great wallpaper app. The curated collections are fantastic and high quality. I purchased the add-free upgrade and I’m glad I did. I do have two suggestions: 1. A way to “bookmark” wallpapers for future use on the app, so I don’t have to download them to my phone and take up space. It would be great if the bookmarked wallpapers would be available forever and didn’t disappear. 2. More timely updates: The Yuletide update, for example, came out just a week or two before Christmas and I would have loved to start using those wallpapers well before that. The app itself is super smooth and I haven’t encountered bugs or glitches in quite a long time. The preview option for the wallpapers reflects the old iOS and has no option to see how it would look in dark mode on the Lock Screen. ✓ I rarely write reviews...I rarely write reviews on apps or games, but this one had me writing one. This app is by far one of the most well put together, useful app that has been sitting on my home screen for a long time now. I have actually bought premium as it would make sense to support. Plus the daily photos make a great feature as I can have a new wallpaper each day without getting sick and tired of the same wallpaper and not having to search online for a HD wallpaper for hours. The wallpapers provided on the app come in different categories and are extremely high definition. It allows you to preview the app and simple press one button and boom, it’s saved into your camera roll. I especially really love the OLED wallpapers which makes a great selection for the IPhone X, XR and XS models using OLED screens. One thing I would love to see is Live Photo’s. Other than that this app is by far one of the most useful apps I’ve used and is a major essential for any iPhone. Far better than the wallpapers you get preset with iOS, which by the way apple rarely updates you with new wallpapers. 5/5 stars. ✓ (pretty much) Picture PerfectI really like this app. I’ve used loads of (free) wallpaper apps in the past but have found them to be over-saturated with choice (to the extent that you’re wondering why the hell people would pick some of the selections as wallpaper), or filled with bugs. This is the best wallpaper app I’ve used. I went for the paid version and it’s worth the money - I found the ads annoying and the app itself was a bit jittery on the free version. The pictures are tasteful, high quality, varied, and load super fast. Pretty much all of the images could have been used by Apple as part of their default wallpapers. After downloading the app, I was incredibly surprised by the stunning quality, simplicity, and most of all the fact that the app was free. Of course there are ads but not as much to the point where the app is basically unusable which I like. It doesn’t flood you with ads every time you click something. The inventory caught me by surprise when I saw all the different wallpapers, some I’ve never seen before. The quality of them, I guess, adapts to your iPhone’s screen specifications (I have the iPhone SE, and I say the wallpapers look unusually good, considering the fact some wallpaper apps have some type of “gradients” that I think aren’t intended, thus making the quality of them suffer). While most wallpaper apps claim to be “free” we all know that once downloaded, they’re spammed w/ ads & all of the good wallpapers are only available for a ridiculous premium price.. Vellum is ACTUALLY FREE! It’s smooth & very easy to use, the ads are tiny at the bottom of the screen, and there are so many beautiful wallpapers to choose from. I also love that vellum actually credits & even showcases the artists & sources behind the beautiful images. I do think, however, for it to be a 5 star app they should offer live wallpapers & extend their content- even if it’s just a premium option, it should definitely be available. Maybe they’re already working on this, but as of now there are none. The UI is very appealing and easy to use unliked other wall paper apps which tend to be covered in ads and and for me are overwhelming and busy with the amount of options. All of vellum’s wall papers have sharp resolution and are nicely curated in collections. One of my favorite things about the app is the preview button which gives you a mock view of of how the wall paper will look on your phone. It’s simple to use but very helpful. Vellum has some of the highest quality and artistic wallpapers that I’ve seen for my iPhone X. It’s easy to use and easy to save the wallpaper to your phone. It is the first wallpaper app that I’ve ever paid for. User interface is excellent, it’s easy to see and select different packs. You can even try the wallpaper with your home and lock screens. It’s also really easy to put the wallpaper on your phone, just save it to photos with one button and then go change it and you’re done. Yes there are ads, but they are usually unobtrusive and infrequent. Other wallpaper apps are terrible compared to this, with an ad every time you click to a new screen and 4 free wallpapers to choose from. One thing I find frustrating is that some (not all) of the backgrounds that would otherwise be perfect have visible compression/JPEG artifacts such as banding. This is kind of frustrating because details matter when you’re gonna be seeing your background dozens of times each day. ✓ Incredibly SurprisedHonestly, I don’t remember where I heard about this app but it’s been saved in my phone for over a year and I use it often. I feel like ever since I had an iPod Touch like a decade ago I have downloaded apps for wallpapers. They would always come flooding with ads, spam notifications, and even watermarks on the image. Not this app! It’s pretty much perfect from what I can tell...? I can’t remember the last time I used a background image that wasn’t from this great app. Not saying they dont have ads but for a free app, it’s so minimal. You can definitely tell they don’t want to have ads there but I’m stoked they are— just in case the ads are paying some persons rent so they can do more stuff like this.
