✓ Context MenuGood browser for entire life use. However the context menu is what hold me back, just look at Chrome it context menu is totally different and that what's needed even it's WebKit also. I need Open Image, Open Image in New Tab and Search [search engine] for This Image. All iOS browser have same context menu as Safari and that's bad, that why I can't stop using Chrome. ✓ Great, cheap app limited by slow speedsEnjoyed my first week with the app so I opted to buy the yearly subscription. Unfortunately, following this, the app slowed down considerably with videos taking forever to load, not loading at all, or stopping mid way through. Same goes for the random webpages I search, they either never load, or take a considerable amount of time too. Made sure the check with the preloaded to safari app to see if it was maybe my internet connection, yet the app has no problems. Want to give it more stars, but can’t justify it..Version: 4.9.1
✓ Please fix this! I loved your app!This app was a lifesaver for me, a music player and a browser in one. Now you’ve basically ruined the music player part with your update. Firstly, I see the search and trash things and I’m really happy since they FINALLY added a search function. Then, I go to the downloads and it’s all weirdly different. Nothing I can’t handle though, I remember feeling that way for the previous interface change and I eventually liked it. My songs playlist is somewhere at the bottom even though it’s the largest folder and I sorted by size, and I realize it’s not sorting by size even though I selected that, it’s sorting by name?? I play a song and it goes instantly fullscreen so I try and get out of it and it’s stuck as a massive, disrupting rectangle that I can’t even put in the center or anything, and it takes up SO MUCH space. I decide to exit the app while listening and it CARRIES OVER TO THE HOME SCREEN. I don’t know why you needed to change this app like that, the old way with the bar at the bottom of your screen and the access through the built in phone menu was perfect. Heck, the way you selected the looping and shuffling was fine as well. Please god, at least fix these issues, because this is genuinely really horrible..Version: 3.3.0
✓ Gone downhillIt was great when it first come out . You could do multi downloads now you have to pay a monthly fee and if you go off the page it stops the download. Its not worth it anymore and they constantly have deals which keep popping up! I use another app it was one and only one fee, was a lot cheaper and in doesn’t stop downloads when you leave the page. ✓ VPN and Adblock stop working on some sitesUnfortunately it’s been 2 years since stop blocking ads in YouTube and many other sites. Couple of updates from the developer but still not doing what it was promise and what used to make this one of the best privacy browser for mobile use. I had messages from the developer multiple times when I updated the review at the 4th month mark and the year mark and I don’t think they are planning to ever block ADs on YouTube again. I tap in a short link and it turns it into a mammoth length link which loops and keeps redirecting and the page won’t load. The developer responded to me with suggestions that I had already tried like blocking pop-ups and redirects. Neither are working and the web link continues to redirect. I selected the button to contact the developer but it takes me to a Q&A page so there appears to be no way to contact the developer. Such a shame as I used to rely on this browser..Version: 3.2.5

✓ Update Ruined the Movie Player UIThe UI change is bad and intrusive when watching videos. I can no longer zoom in the videos to fit my iPhone screen, before 1 double tap into the video and it would fit my screen. In landscape mode, if I want to fast forward or backward 10 seconds I have to now double tap left or right respectively and have the black backdrop interrupt what am watching, where as before the player had 2 small non-intrusive clockwise & counterclockwise 10 sec icons on the screen - they worked! Perfectly! I know that by scrolling up or down while in landscape mode decreases volume or brightness, but sometimes I just like to adjust my volume by pressing my phone’s physical volume buttons, now when I do that, a dark/black banner drops on top of the screen, why?? That did not happen with the previous player. Also, the player buttons are so big, where as before they were small, fit, and not distracting or intrusive. Maybe make these big buttons and controls an “accessibility” option or something. Give us options. Don’t fix what is not broken. The player now looks and feels like a cheap generic player. I don’t mind change, what I do mind is change that does not improve from what was replaced..Version: 3.3.0
✓ I used to love this app...Update:developer contacted me and said to enable ad-blocker and it should fix problem. Nope. I always have ad-blocker on. Even turn it off and turn it back on and still no change. Original review:When the app actually works right it’s everything I want in a browser/downloader. That was before it started buggin the f out. Now every time I try to use it, it force opens the App Store after a page loads. When I close the App Store and go back into the Aloha app, it’s no longer on the page I was viewing, but instead it’s several pages back. Sometimes this happens as much as 5-10 times back to back. It’s rather frustrating to even attempt to try to get a page to load. What’s the point in even trying to use this app when I’m constantly getting sent to the App Store? ✓ Not great since the pay to multi Download updateI didn’t like the fact you changed it so we had to pay for multiple Downloads but I ended up buying a year but there is still something wrong with your app. Videos stop downloading randomly, some have be clicked on multiple times to finish Other videos can’t be found and I have to click download over and over until I don’t get a host error. It’s not the websites fault as it happens on multiple sites that never did before, I assume you changed something that times out if you don’t get an instant response, please change that back. I’ve been hoping this would be fixed for a few month but nothing has changed. Edit. Also I noticed that some videos are downloading as mp4 but are unplayable, this is new, and zips won’t open unless I transfer into files and do it there..Version: 3.5.0

✓ Was better before 3.2.0UPDATE: 3.2.1 is so unstable and crashes randomly but frequently when opening links or launching the tab carousel… lose another star despite starting to undo the issues with 3.2.0. The tab carousel used to look better and the current tab was usually in the middle, making it easier to advance one tab in EITHER direction. Open in New Tab and Open in Background Tab now open as the last tab not the next. Pinch to Zoom now occasionally locks and app loses the tab controls (history, bookmarks, tab carousel) until you manage to zoom or until you rotate the device to and from landscape mode to trigger a screen rebuild. ✓ Rating for new version onlyThis new December 2021 version may be nice for new users to this app, but for long time users such as I, many of the functions which were a simple 1 or 2 button pushes have now become 3 or 4 button pushes inside of multiple mini menus. It feels clunky and old now. Like if this were the first version of the app ever put out. Even the play button changed from one that was small and skinny (so the video behind it could still be seen) to a giant blue background play button. The areas that buttons used to be such as pic in pic mode are changed to areas that are harder to find. Honestly I never write reviews, but I went into this app today and felt like I went back to 2010. ✓ COMPUTER/PHONE VIRUS AND FAKE REVIEWS HERE!!!!!This app is a virus, I downloaded it and I accessed the app but it kept taking me to Home Screen (i assumed it was a phone glitch or something), then I tried accessing App Store and it came up with “Cannot connect” so I thought my connection glitched even though I have one of the best connection services. It wouldn’t let me delete the app, I managed to delete it in the end and after that everything started working, such as App Store and my phone seemed quicker but seems quite glitchy now. This is definitely a virus, the reviews here are fake because I got my friend to download this app on his phone and it done the same to his phone, so definitely a virus or a phone hack. ✓ Video player has a major flawTheir player essentially re-streams the video every time you switch to it by going fullscreen, and it also doesnt cancel the default site’s player, meaning you’re essentially streaming the video twice using twice the bandwidth and buffering t at half the speed you should be. Waited over a year thinking surely they had at least half a brain to figure out such an obvious flaw and fix it, but nope, guess I gotta point it out for them. ✓ Unreliable & slowSometimes only half of a webpage will load, other times a page won’t load at all. One thing that’s consistent is that if a webpage does load, it loads very slowly. I base my observations on the fact that I have a reliable, high-speed connection and comparing this browser to others that load pages much faster and more reliable. Therefore, I’ve isolated the problem to this app. I was anxious to like this app, as I wanted a faster, more reliable browser than Safari, but unfortunately this app is no improvement. Instead of one star, I gave this app two stars, solely because I like having the ability to clear the history directly in the app, as opposed to having to go into my iPad’s “Settings”, like you’re required to do on Safari. ✓ Pricey for what you actually getIt does what it advertises, just not well. Yes, It can download just about anything, but if you download a large file it will crash. There is a resuming function but it doesn’t really work until you reboot your device. Closing the app, restarting the app, refreshing the page, etc won’t cut it….I have to reboot my entire device, which is time consuming and annoying. I’ve had to reboot my device in order to resume the same download just for it to freeze again a few seconds later, all while having to repeat the same process. There’s nothing wrong with the downloads because I was able to download the same files through a different app on the same device 1st time around. I understand in always trying making this app better, but y’all went backwards on some of the features that made this app easy to navigate. Here are my negatives: 1. I can’t minimize my videos while I browse from my file in the Aloha menu or scroll through my open tabs. 2. I can’t listen to audio from music or videos in the background while using other apps. 3. My videos or audio stops playing when I screen lock my phone. 4. No option to disable the feature when Aloha saves and resumes exactly where you stopped watching a video. ✓ Suspicious BehaviorThis browser has been great, but I have a concern about what’s going on under the hood. At certain times when I use it, when connected to WiFi (but not EVERY time..just occasionally), it will cause my phone to heat up significantly and will crash a few times. Eventually, it stops and works just fine. I’ve opted out of all usage/diagnostics sharing (everything you’re able to opt out of in the privacy section), so something else is going on here. I’d love to do a packet capture, but I’m unable to do this in my current situation. I’m using an XS Max running the latest version of iOS, so my phone is more than capable of running this browser, spec-wise. ✓ Another browser adding News feedOh, look! Another mobile browser thinking adding a News Feed is what their customers want! Some words of advice. It's not what we want. It slows the browser down and uses up our data allowance. Plus, I do not want to be force fed the news you (and your news partners) think I should be reading. Thankfully, you've provided an opportunity to switch it off. However, it's hidden away at the very bottom of the Country Feed settings. In addition, why do you think we need a theme for the browser? It's unnecessary bulk. No wonder the app keeps crashing and sticking. Not as good as it used to be. Update: April 3rd 2018 Crashes have been fixed, which is a huge plus. When I’m on xhamster for instance it Constantly opens new tabs for other sites all by itself and runs extremely slow when vpn is active. Example: 50meg with no vpn and at best 1meg with vpn. ✓ Brilliant app gone sour since update May 2021I have subscribed to this app for a couple of years now and it has been reliable and a great app. However since it updated on May 20th 2021 it has started to: Fail to load on occasions. Crash on use on a regular number of occasions. Lose downloads either through the crash or they just stop and show download failed. This app has been redesigned as well to improve it. I don’t think it does. I have to refresh the news feed al the time now as the app says it can’t find the news feed! I would always give this a five star rating normally. ✓ Terrible updateAloha was an excellent browser with a simple clean interface and some very useful features not found in other browsers. All that changed with the most recent update. The browser now freezes frequently on both my iPads. Forcing the browser to quit doesn’t solve the problem and the only (short lived) solution is to restart the iPad. Also the old tabs with easy access to files and history has been lost to a much less user-friendly interface. Please please please roll this back to the previous version!.Version: 3.2.0

✓ No longer hides youIt was great at the beginning. I was able to decline cookies but now most pages especially those that g**gle redirects (grrrrr) and any “TwoFacedBook” owned apps, will not give you the option to decline. They know automatically what country you’re in now and the option doesn’t show up anymore, even when you close the tab and clear cookies, cache etc. Note: if you don’t close out the tab first, you’re not actually clearing anything private. This app is no longer working. Sad… all of them are allowing us to be tracked. So much for freedom. It’s completely gone. If they’re chromium based browsers, forget about them too. ✓ New update is a noI think that there are many features of this browser I feel are efficient, and I feel it is simple but works great enough to be my go-to browser. However, the recent update to the tabs has made me feel less positive. When I open a new tab now, whether it is a regular, private, or background tab option, the tab is opened at the end of all the other one, instead of opening right next to the previous window. This makes navigation a lot more difficult than it was, and I don’t even have the option to move the tab back towards the previous one or resort my tabs. Small change, but it really made me feel that I would rather just use Safari for the easier navigation. I also think there could be more ways to customize settings to the user’s needs, as speed dial on the home page is crowded with dozens of news articles that I don’t need..Version: 2.2.2

✓ FIX YOUR APPLICATION!I’ve been using Aloha for longer than I can remember, but this update is very bad. I’ve almost pulled my hair out thinking my iPhone caught a bug. All morning, I’ve been trying to find out why my phone was connected to WiFi and mobile data but neither was working. I thought Aloha’s VPN configuration might be messing up with my phone’s connectivity. I’ve been on this for four hours, trying to look for a solution. I’ve restarted my phone, done a hard reset, reset my phone’s network settings trying to get to bottom of this problem. I was even considering deleting all the apps I updated in the last 12 hours, of which Aloha was part. I’ve been trying to turn off the VPN configuration from within the Aloha app — I turned off the “Phone wide VPN” and “Use VPN on other apps” settings but in the iOS Settings app, Aloha’s VPN configuration kept trying to connect, despite me consistently turning it off. I had to go turn off “Connect on Demand” in Aloha’s permission settings before my WiFi connectivity was finally restored. This is my worst experience with Aloha and totally unacceptable. There’s a horrid bug in your latest update — made me consider taking my phone for hardware evaluation, whereas nothing was wrong with the phone!.Version: 2.15.2
