✓ Fantastic game!I have played this game for almost a year now and I am really enjoying it. I love the pixel art and even just the general concept of it. The different types of enemies that you have to conquer and obstacles to get through are quit tough and you really have to think about your next move.Version: 4.6
✓ Fix Sir Gylbard and RikSir Gylbard and Rik have redundant design compared Bragg. Omnidirectional Shooting would improve both of these characters greatly. However it would not fix my gripe of Rik’s massive ineffectiveness in all situations. When compared to the sacrifices Panic bot, Bragg, and Ribb must make to be effective, Rik comes out on the bottom. To improve his chracter I would suggest 4 fireball cost on his fireball and shield along with omnidirectional shooting and a shield like Ribb’s skulls. Another fix I suggest would be to make it so that pistons can’t crush rik and can’t push him off of ledges. Another fix may be to give Rik the same refilling stations Panic bot has. Whatever you chose to do, I assure you Rik must have more consistent value and less passive more FUN gameplay..Version: 4.0

Quick pros and cons. Pros: addicting gameplay that makes you think Why do I do stupid things constantly Fun variety of heroes I’m still playing it. Cons: some heroes aren’t worth the grind. I think the pirate is the best one. The pirates parrot is the bane of my existence. He never stays more than a millisecond. Not worth it. The quality of the heroes is off compared to what you grind for. Bugs: after a while of playing the music stops. And then a little while later the frame rates drop. And they continue dropping to the point of not being able to play so I restart the app. I love this game. Keep it up. I hope more heroes come soon! However, I do think the characters are extremely expensive. I also believe there should be a daily or hourly coin system, where you get a certain amount of coins every day or hour. ✓ Fun but you never earn enough goldHello people, this app is very fun and I am sure you will enjoy it. I love the character diversity with so many different power-ups, but I have one problem: It takes forever to earn any gold to buy new characters or upgrade ones you already have. At certain points I just end up playing the video for 50 gold over and over again when I would rather be playing the game. ✓ Well done, but...This is a very good game, the ads are not that bad, and the characters are fun and the gameplay is interesting. The only problem is that whenever something interrupts the app, like closing the phone, your alarm goes off, calendar reminder happens, or exiting the app. After this interruption the app suddenly becomes gruesomely slow and you have to actually end the app and re open it for it to work properly. In the meantime your previous game progress gets lost. If they could fix this issue that would be spectacular.Version: 4.0

✓ One of my favoritesI stumbled onto this game a few weeks ago, and I’ve already sunk too many hours into it. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it’s challenging. The characters are fun, and I definitely see that some people prefer certain characters over others. One of my favorites is unlocked early on, so at first the later characters felt disappointing. It is really all about how you play the game though. The one downside is that I’ve occasionally felt like the game was using ads to hold me hostage. I hate microtransactions and paying for ad free. At the same time, that seems the best way for the devs to make money. It seems like the ad problem has cleared up lately. There are still advertisements, but they are easier to bypass and don’t pop up all the time..Version: 3.9

✓ Perfect *Pixel* GameThis is the game that was needed in the app store. Leap day was nice, Ultimate Briefcase was nicer but Redungeon is by far Pixel perfect and I am hoping Nitrome and it's Nitromic developers will consider my words. I am a fan of pixel art so it is not surprising that this game is my favorite. The in-app purchases are cheap and worth their gold although I haven't spent a dollar. You get rewards for writing reviews and following Nitrome on Twitter and Facebook which is rare to see. More upgrades would make the scarecrow more 'scary' and having new gamemodes for future would be awesome. My ideas for future updates would be a boss at each 50 or 100 meters and loot afterwards making the game more unique and challenging. Another idea would be items in the dungeon such as: swords to kill enemies, shields like the knight's and a genie in a lamp giving you double coins. These items would be temporary and wouldn't cross onto other games after you die. The shield would stack onto the knight's and the sword would have durability. ✓ I love this game!I just got this game a couple of days ago and I’m all ready hooked! There is only one complaint about the game, and that is the prices to unlock and upgrade characters. For example the character you start out with his 4th upgrade cost 2000 coins but I guess since there are only five upgrades for each character so it might just be me. But overall it’s a really good game and probably my favorite game on my phone. I like the multiple different characters and the upgrades actually have use. And the game is very hard, I mean it says death is inevitable in the images of the game but I like the challenge. And the dungeon you explore is always different so it adds verity to the game. ✓ Highly Recommend (Wish there was more!)Redungeon is a very fun game to play when you need to pass some time or even when you wanna grind it out and get some new high scores or characters. I have spent more than 150 hours in this game (over the span of a couple years) and I think it’s a great mix of challenging, action and focus based gameplay. I fist recommend you switch controls to the arrow format as I find swiping a little jank for my taste. Each character you play has strengths and different goals when hopping your way through the dungeon, and each upgrade feels natural and sometimes very powerful! If you need to quickly hop in and pass a couple of minutes you can or if you want to dump an hour into the game you can work up to those unlockables and see the fun and interesting level designs that are molded together into this fun game. I would highly recommend this game (especially since it’s free) to anyone who enjoys quick paced puzzle games which can trick you using its mechanics but only for you to feel that sense of accomplishment when you get passed it’s tricks and traps and come out rich and satisfied. Notes on the characters, Creep A Crow is fast paced and very satisfying to play, loads of fun if you like abusing his strong abilities. Nathaniel makes the game very easy by smashing in traps but this can also lead to you getting overconfident. Vesna is super beginner friendly and i feel she should be unlocked sooner than others. Finally Bragg (personal favourite) is super fun to play after you have him fully levelled up. A very good mix of risk and reward. Sir Gilbard is a good all rounder, Rik is far too niche and feels too forced to play, Ichika makes big bank but once you buy everything he doesn’t do much, Kazhan is quite fun and also well balanced, Aether is good for achieving high leaderboard scores, Meaoyea and Ribb both feel a little underpowered, and Panic Bot gives the game a speed run type play style. My only wish is that this game gets some more love, maybe some new characters or unlocks that i can spend my thousands of gold on, or even some more generated level designs that i can dart my way around. Easily worth the price to remove ads and a great game to quickly pop open when you need to burn some time! :D.Version: 4.6

✓ Endgame ExpansionRedungeon was a fun game, and I enjoyed unlocking all the characters and leveling them up. The great feeling of discovery when getting each new character was astoundingly executed. Although there are many ads, that isn’t this games biggest problem. In my opinion, once you’ve unlocked every character and maxed them out, the game becomes boring. I have no goal, no objective to work towards other than getting a high score. Every coin I collect feels like wasted time, and I ended up abandoning this game as I’ve felt like I’ve completed it. I have two suggestions as to how to fix this problem. The first, is once you’ve unlocked every character and gotten them to the max level, a new ‘Coinless’ mode is unlocked. This mode lets the player toggle whether or not coins spawn as well as removes some of the parts of the dungeon which are only there to give you coins. This coinless option can perhaps spawn things like more fountains to replace the coins to give the player incentive to choose this gamemode. Having no coins will make the endgame much more streamlined, and the player won’t have to spend their time collecting these useless coins that have no benefit to them. Of course, a certain one of the characters won’t be very playable without coins, but certain adjustments to the character can be made to fix that. My second suggestion to the game is to add a new secret character. This character only unlocks when the Coinless option is unlocked, when the player beats the game. Essentially, this character will add a new element to the game that is different every time, and won’t leave the player bored. With this character, all the runs are different, and hundreds of redungeon runs can be done even after the player has ‘beaten’ the game. This new character is similar to the Eden of the game The Binding of Isaac or the Paradox to the game Enter the Gungeon. Every run, this character will start off with three or four random abilities pulled from any other character in the game. It can have a random activated ability, like the sword from Sir Gylbard, and other random passive abilities from the other characters. These abilities should be different with every run, which will keep the game fresh whenever the player decides to do a Redungeon run. Adding a cost of about 500 coins to each run you do with this new character should keep the player from solely prioritizing playing with them, and playing with other characters in the regular mode. This should add endless possibilities to Redungeon and keep the player satisfied for a long time after they’ve completed the game. Combined with the Coinless mode, this character with that gamemode will made the game feel fresh like never before. Redungeon is still a great mobile game for what it’s worth. But with these new additions, I could see myself pouring many more hours into the depths of Redungeon. Thank you Nitrome for this awesome game, and I hope with these additions it will be improved upon in the future..Version: 4.6

However, you have managed to implement things that deceive even the veteran players of this genre, such as coins placed over fire traps, and chests that would trap the player with no way to return. It's these small things that really completes this game for me and I can't wait to see new characters and upgrades. One thing I particularly like is the random facts - you have walked x many blocks, or been swallowed by y amount of slimes. Randomized endless dungeons of increasing difficulty is the kind of thing to make you guess what’s coming next, and most of not all the “modules” are fun to work around (my favorite character is Bragg). My only issue with the game... though it isn’t much of a complaint, I wish they would update the game more often, or just update it more in general, I’ve unlocked everything, and while it is still fun, I don’t really have anything to work towards. ✓ EpicIt seems that I have nothing but good things to say about most things produced by Nitrome: I love rust bucket and I love this! I feel like they're twins, separated at birth, and I love them both equally. ✓ Too toughThe is one trap that is too tough for me and gets me every time. The five orbs spinning inside a hollow 3x3 grid. I can’t time it right. The corners are too sharp and the amount the character moves In one step is insane for that trap. There’s usually two of them, one after the other. I never make it past the first one. When I originally got this one I thought it was fun but not anything amazing. I played it for a little while and eventually unlocked a few other characters. This is when I realized how cool this game was. All of the different characters had quite unique abilities. When you get bored instead of just closing the app and doing a different game you can pick another person who will completely change your experience. I like how all of the characters when maxed out are almost about equal in strength. I have spent hours grinding on this game just to upgrade a few characters. I hope that they add some other people to play as soon though because everyone who plays this game will eventually run out of things to upgrade. ✓ Great gameThis is an excellent game and feels fun and (relatively) new in a world where most of the apps I see are boring copies with micro transactions thrown in for the money. This game is very enjoyable and easy to pick up with lots to unlock and experience. The one thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that there seems to be a bug (maybe a memory leak?) Where every time you restart the frame rate drops a little. Unfortunately this is not a game you can play without perfect frame rate because many of the traps and enemies require perfect timing and feedback. ✓ Needs an updateI love this game, and I’ve grinded on it for far too long. I’m not asking for a huge update, but some bug fixes that aren’t disastrous to gameplay, but still annoying. 1. After reaching around 10,000m or more, there is one obstacle that is impossible to get past by unless you fly over it, or teleport. It’s hard to explain the obstacle, but it’s meant to be non lethal, and has five jump pads, three of them on moving wood. It’ll bounce you to the left side, then the right (or vice versa), then the middle, and you land safely. Once above around 10,000m, it’ll glitch, and you’ll be stuck jumping back and forth, leaving you to die in the darkness. 2. If you’re fast enough you can move diagonally. I tried it with Vesna, and you can see the plant marks that she leaves behind is vertical. Extremely hard to do though. 3. Probably the most important one, my goddam high score. Currently, I am #6 on the global leaderboard with 22,165m, but that’s not my actual highscore. I have a screenshot of me going up to 33,333m (yes, that was done on purpose), but it won’t show on the leaderboard. Because of this, I’ll probably try to go for 29,999, maybe because there’s a bug where scores over 30,000 won’t show, but that’s a maybe..Version: 4.6

However, this is one of those games where it has this horrid trend nowadays where it constantly shoves ads in you face and makes you PAY if you want them gone. Plus, this game runs on a gold system. And playing the name normally, you have to get to about 300M (which IS pretty far) to actually get goods amount of loot, making it so that I’d just be easier to pay 3.99 to get 50K gold. You got your magic space man that has the legendary ability to create portals that last for two seconds that make you miss every coin and chest for a while, the skeleton who can revive after death a few times, which is cool in a way, but functionally no different from the armour of the knight as long as you don't jump off cliffs. Then you got the panic bot. Now, as far as I can figure, only good/special things about him are lightning immunity and the fact that the 'darkness' stuff doesn't seem to exist?
