✓ Please add iPad Pro 11 inch SupportThe app works great. I have no issues with it. It has worked solidly and has great presentation. Love it. The main issue that I have with it now is that it needs to be updated so that it works with the new screen ratio for the iPad Pro 11 inch. Since it has not yet been updated, it has black bars showing on the sides of the app. The the app still works as before but it is ugly and not utilizing the full screen of the iPad Pro 11 inch. Looking forward to the update. When the app works with the new screen size I’ll give the fifth star! Keep up the good work..Version: 1.6.0
✓ Magnificent!The 2nd edition of the Mountains of Madness board game with this app is absolutely stellar. The set-up is a breeze with the app, and the gameplay is streamlined and a ton of fun. The sound effects and reading of the scenario intro. as played by the app are first rate, and add a great deal to the atmosphere and to immersion in the game world. If you are on the fence, I recommend the game highly. I owned the first edition which did not have the app, and which rarely made it to the table because of all the setup and advance work necessary to play the game. The 2nd edition with the app; however, is going to hit the table A LOT..Version: 1.4.2
✓ App is splendid, but not as immersive as I expectedMy friends and I were thrilled with how well the app worked, how stable it was, and how much it kept track of. What disappointed us was the lack of sound effects when, for example, a monster died. The app doesn’t even offer narration for 90% of its text—not even using the iOS built-in voices. Talk about a missed opportunity! There is at least ambient sound, but additional sound effects and narration to provide a more atmospheric experience would be incredibly welcome..Version: 1.5.1
✓ Great app, more board games need this. Needs digital diceThis app is fantastic and adds so much to this board game, as a whole the combined nature of the app and the board game together make for one of the best board games I've ever played...only one slight issue. This game comes with limited dice and more are sorely needed, this app should include an extras section where there is a digital dice roller for the board game. I find myself having difficulty playing the game with the lack of dice, a small but annoying issue with this game and app. Keep up the good work and please add digital dice for this..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Great app. Does its jobThe app is central to the game and allows for a much easier game set up. It also makes it so that the app handles all the stuff the 5th player/The Keeper used to handle. (Now all 5 players work together.) It does a decent job at randomizing things. It's usually very clear on what to do. Great mood music and sounds. I appreciate the save game feature to be able to come back to a game. I also appreciate the journal log in case I accidentally skip something. Things I would change: -The creatures can't take damage on their turn. Sometimes the text says they take damage, I just have to wait to add it. -There should be done sort of go back button in case you accidentally skip something. -lastly: ADD MORE SCENARIOS. I love the game, and I want more of it..Version: 1.0.4
✓ Watch Out!!! : )The October 2019 update with the Path of the Serpent will kill your game on an iPad 4. Since updating it, the game will not open. I just hope a future update fixes the problem. UPDATE: The game has been fixed! Thank you FFG..Version: 1.8.1
✓ Just what I would expect from FFG, quality!Fantastic app to go with my favorite game of all time. For anyone that has played the 1st edition, this cuts out the setup that caused all your friends to start playing other games instead. Although the app does not truly fulfill the role of the Keeper thematically, it does replace it mechanically; and does so perfectly. One of the best parts is finishing a check/puzzle/whole scenario and saying "I wonder if that would have worked out differently had we not..." and not knowing the answer because a Keeper was not involved in the design. (I have played a scenario three times and had several randomization to the encounters and layout of the mansion) I have not encountered any of the bugs other users have reported, but even if I did, the app itself is phenomenal, and the stories are so perfectly Lovecraftian. This edition really pulls FFG ahead of so many other companies that have attempted app based/related games. An easy 5 stars, I could only fault them for not having cloud-based save features. (Maybe in an update???? And hopefully across Steam and iOS!) For those that never played the 1st edition, do yourself a favor, buy the second edition and let this app immerse you into the panic and terror of the Mansions..Version: 1.2.1

✓ Nearly perfectSo I would love to give this game a five star review, app included, as it really is a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends. It is extremely fun and immersive and keeps having us coming back for more... The issue is that the amount of content for the money you put in is somewhat limited. Granted there is still more scenarios we are yet to play though, looking at the scenario release history I am quite certain we will have completed everything quite some time before anything new is released. I suppose it will be quite exciting when anything new does come out in future, but it would be much more satisfying to see DLC for current expansions be released more frequently, maybe one ever couple of months to tide players over until the next big release. Other than that I do very much recommend this game, particularly for people who won’t run into the issue of running out of content by steaming through it like myself and my friends are!.Version: 1.8.8
✓ Great when it worksI’ve played with this app before and it worked great. The issue now is there hasn’t been an update and as such these new iPads with the M1 chip do not run this app properly it seems. It is very choppy with the frame rate (sub 5-10 fps) making it nearly unplayable. FFG - please update! The game is still popular and needs support! Maybe a rule book as well. 5 stars otherwise..Version: 1.8.8
✓ Almost perfectApp is fun but a few things keeping it from 5 stars. One is you can’t even play all the scenarios because they don’t even print some of the expansions anymore unless you want to pay ridiculous prices for them on the secondary market. ✓ Loads of funI played this with four other people for the first time today. It was really fun and guys and girls alike all enjoyed it. I think it could better immerse players by adding some death sounds for creatures on the app, or having the enemies possibly randomly drop different loot? Currently killing a monster feels unrewarding or anticlimactic. I suppose it seems from my perspective as a player it would be easy to add these although I know it may not be the case. ✓ Excellent companion app set back by a few early bugsThe second edition MoM is a highly thematic and immersive experience. Players explore Lovecraftian mysteries set in traditional settings, revealing the board as they progress, encountering monsters and events, searching for items and clues and ultimately uncovering an overarching plot line. There really is nothing much to dislike about this game. The only issues at present are a number of bugs in the app. There are crash reports and save game errors being reported and even some discrepancies between the tiles laid out and their references in the game. These bugs will no doubt be ironed out through future updates (still there after the first one) but it is a shame to see so many of them in the initial release, especially in a game with such a steep price tag. Don't let this dissuade you however. This is an excellent addition to any gamers catalogue. *As of the current update all the major bugs have been fixed..Version: 1.0.3

✓ We play this a lotThis is the app companion for the board game and is done very very well. A very Immersive game that requires very little amount of rules to learn and keep up with. This app will be your guide and will allow that one person who always get the job to “manage” the game to finally take a break and enjoy the game like the rest of the group does. I am the games manager for my group. I love this game. There is a good amount of expansions you can get to enhance the re-play. ✓ Whole new experience.I have been playing board games for many years and was incredibly sceptical about this. My first play through was a bit of a mess I didn’t fully understand how the App worked and missed a few rules here and there. My second play through however was much smoother and more fun and the App worked brilliantly. The game works well as both a single player game and multiplayer but does work best around 3-4 people..Version: 1.7.1
