✓ PLEASE ADD FEATURE TO ROTATE VIDEOGreat app. I love the concept but there could be some improvements. It’s great to be able to record for as long as you want and adjust the speed of individual clips. However, there are some features that would make Spark 1000x better. 1. ROTATE VIDEOS. I cannot stress this enough. In the fleet of the moment I Spark a clip but it turns out upside down or rotated the wrong way. When I export the video I have to put it on my computer and individually split up the messed up clips and rotate them on iMovie. 2. Add clips from camera roll INTO an ongoing spark. This is also something I have to do on iMovie because I wanted it added to the video. Also very inconvenient. 3. More versatile filters. The color grading on ‘Tokyo’ is pretty much the only one I use. The others don’t suit a lot of the style of videos that I make..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Ok app but issues with music and savingThe app itself is easy to use and serves the purpose of no fuss video editing that can be quite time consuming. Lately I have noticed that adding music to the video and managing each clip volume has become a pain, not because of the difficulty but because it does not save properly or just starts the music whenever regardless of the adjustment. Also, many times it does not save where I cut the video so I have to. Do it several times. At the end I’m spending as much time trying to figure out the bugs and issues of the app that editing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless they fix those issues. I ’m cancelling the subscription soon..Version: 2.4.15

✓ Great idea but app abandoned??I have using this since 2019 as a continuous video recorder on my holidays. It stitches all the clips together in one file which I love! HOWEVER, over the last year or so, I haven’t been able to download the videos to my phone and keep getting an error message! Then I realised that the app hasn’t had any updates in 2 years?! ✓ Amazing app but you lose your purchases if you do a fresh installThis is by far the best iOS app I have used. It’s amazing. It’s perfect. Long time users like me are grand fathered into the free tier. I did buy many upgrades. But now they’ve gone down the subscription route. The new free version is very restrictive — you cannot use slow motion playback. If you have bought upgrades in the past then I strongly advise you to backup all app data. ✓ Terrible it’s one of those subscription appsI saw this app the day it came out and thought it was going to be amazing. Great marketing. Once you download the app you immediately are asked if you want to subscribe to use the app. You can record in regular 1080hd non stabilized footage for free for a few seconds. After that you need to upgrade to use the app and upgrade is not worth it. Use FiLMiC Pro...BEST $14 ever spent on a camera recorder that shoots 4K amazingly with no subscriptions. Or use pro movie recorder. Ultra jam and even Vizzywig is better than this app. Terrible! ✓ DisappointedI loved this app. I had a blast using it and have been using it since 2019. I bought the subscription with the purpose of saving all my videos incase something happens and having them on the cloud to free up space. I recently dropped my phone and got a new phone and when I redownloaded the app… most of my videos are gone even though i uploaded to the cloud. I am so so sad all those memories are gone. ✓ Not worth the moneyDon’t need to waste any time writing a long review. All I needed to do is to download 5 clips that I’ve made in the past 4 years. The app will crash, if I try to delete/re-install, data will be lost. So I get a pop up to “Upgrade”. I’ve already paid for this app. I understand developers need to get paid, I do to and not spending money again on a few “enhancements”. The app hasn’t changed much over the years. $59 unlimited? Opened the app again went to that video and it kept closing the app when I tired to play it. ✓ Sound issueUpdate: Only issue now is audio interference between clips. I muted the videos and still here noise where clips are joined. After adding music it gets quieter also in between clips. It turns out that my new iPhone has issues with playing videos across various apps, not just this app, so restarting my phone after turning the “auto play videos” back to ON in settings, and this app no longer blacks out clips and my photo roll no longer gets errors on videos. Weird that it worked. Thought my phone was going nuts, seems to be an iOS issue. Original review. Recently, the app started blacking out clips, every other one while still retaining audio. Could be because I offloaded the app and then reloaded? Either way I am done with it, deleting today for good. It was fun for a while to do quick edits, but it seems pricey to upgrade and has issues. Couldn’t export videos today, I thought to see if it will export with the blackout parts, but now I am so annoyed I won’t even bother saving my videos and just will delete it all. I use FinalCutpro for more demanding work but at times need quick on the go edits/tests. Still looking for “the one”. No 4K with the free version anymore, which is understandable, but there are other annoyances that keep pushing me away. ✓ Undo the last update!I used to LOVE this app! Made everything super easy to edit in a minute, all features were easy to use, and I had my videos ready in half the time of other apps. BUT whatever they changed in the last update has ruined this app for me. Videos that used to take seconds to upload into a project now take up to 2 mins each (and when you’re uploading 10 clips at a time that’s a long time to wait before you can even begin editing). The start and end markers for each video clip are now impossible to grab with your finger resulting in an infuriating battle of closing the clip, reopening it, trying to move the end marker and closing the clip by accident again because it misreads what my finger is trying to do. ✓ Nice app but severely overpriced!I tried out this app for a couple months and it definitely has a few positives. I love the one-touch video recording and how easy it is to trim and reorder your clips, as well as the filters. This would be a great $5 app just for those reasons alone. On the downside, I would definitely like to see a lot more options such as adding text, stickers, better transitions, and more variety of music. However, the biggest issue is PRICE!! $99 US DOLLARS (or $3 a month). That is a mind blowing number for the limitations this app has. A monthly subscription for a video recording app is just weird to me. There are a lot better, maybe not easier, options out there. I have since purchased and learned the 2 pro IOS apps, Filmic Pro and LumaFusion. ✓ Developer Please RespondThis app was awesome, and as a kid it was funny to make comical fast edits that would make me and my friends laugh. One day, an update came to my iPad. I don’t know which update this was, but it ruined the experience for me. It made the screen appear on the right side of my iPad. It made it so I couldn’t tap the exit button, or the “watch film” button. It’s hard to make videos, mostly because I can’t even see most of the screen while making it. THE issue I found is when it comes to adding music to your video even if your purchased the song on your iTunes they only allow certain songs in your videos. I can’t understand what ones are allowed and not allowed. It’s a random guess. You will get denied and sent to iTunes that gives you no help or resources on how to fix it or why you were denied. Then! If you are allowed to have a song instead of listing to it first with a short clip. They just add it to the video. Then you have to delete it and start all over again. Next Is text. If you just want a quick text to pop up and show the name of a person in the video. You can shorten it to seconds. It will only do the whole clip or at least the clip that is short or your video. However, ever since the update, whenever I check my finished project in the camera roll, the transitions are not showing properly. ✓ It’s goodIt’s really good, it’s basic but good. I’d like to be able to split the clips I take so e.g. if I have to clips I can keep jumping between them. I’d like to have more control over ramping speed up and down in the same clip. And I’d like to be able to add more than one song. ✓ Ok can I just say, get a different app!These apps keep coming up in my instagram feed (not cool btw) with these eye catching videos, so you want to get it! So I say download app and I download it. I go in and it’s like “hey here you go, the app is free but you have to pay for everything else except the taking video part. Have fun doing nothing!” Like if you are going to charge people for your app, MAKE IT A FREAKING PAID APP!!! Maybe the stuff is good once you pay for it but if you are looking for a good video editing software that is free AND HONEST, get a different app! I’m not going to add more money onto my other monthly payments for something that can obviously be replaced. Just make the right choice people, if your willing to pay for some video thing that is charging you by the month for some filters and video cutting, go right ahead! I’ll sit back with a phone camera and apple filters and be just fine. Conclusion: Get a different app (ITS A FREAKING TRICK)..Version: 2.4.17
✓ Pretty goodNice filters and good fun. Found interface a bit confusing and ended up making loads of separate videos instead of one and having to export and import again but then had duplicate filters on them and for some reason imported videos had been rendered really small. I mistakenly deleted some clips and lost them forever. Would be good if it saved unfiltered version of video recordings in library by default. Agree the hold finger thing is rather annoying would rather have option to tap to record on and off. Look forward to updates..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Wasn’t thrilled at the price tag.Paying monthly for a subscription to use a camera is kind of dumb. Why not just have a pay once and use it, then add another for like those EXTRA features we may not want or use right at the start? I used the 3 day trial and got charged for the monthly only to search all over for my subscription to cancel. Used it once and will never return..Version: 3.8.3
