✓ Poor customer serviceI absolutely hate this app. I was somehow tricked into purchasing it and I’ve already attempted to contact them regarding this issue and I’ve had no response. Now I’m stuck with this for 1 year and I don’t want it and I’ve never used it. They have very poor customer service. I’m still hoping someone will contact me.Version: 3.8.2
✓ Gets better and betterSpark continues to get better and better with each update. The devs really have pushed this app in the right direction. I absolutely love the new ability to simultaneously record the front face camera and the back camera now, it’s a great feature. A couple requests: 1. Please offer an option to choose orientation or location of front face camera bubble 2. Please allow the choice to choose to use separate filter options for front face camera bubble or to use the same filter for “all”. 3. Please offer a way to “latch” recording for videos where it’s less applicable to hold the screen to shoot clips. BONUS: 4. Please add an option for “live steaming” with the front face bubble feature active. — that would be amazing!.Version: 3.3.1

✓ Almost amazingSpent hours editing a video. And on the app it was great. However exporting it to my camera roll, quality was lost and more importantly it was in a very small, portrait only format. Excellent customer service!!I did experience some problems with the volume control yesterday where the background music was drowning out my voiceover recording. But it seems that it’s been FIXED TODAY, and all is working smoothly with the new update. I lost my UNLIMITED subscription for a few hours, but customer service was quick and thorough to make sure it was RESTORED. Hands down THE BEST and FASTEST and MOST EFFICIENT customer service I’ve ever experienced from an app developer! ✓ Great app, recommended to make your IG stories better!I love this app and been a frequent user on my iPhone X and XS Max. Great for making your stories have that sense of story telling, ability to shoot whole day and edit afterwards on the fly is great. Just upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. And realised that I cannot change the resolution from 1080p to 4K without paying a subscription service or a steep price to keep. I’ll think about it for now, as I have so much subscriptions running, I’ll just use Spark on my XS Max as I can record 4K for now till I take the next step..Version: 3.0.8

✓ ExcellentThis is by far the best video camera capture app around. It is super simple to use and the new added functionality to allow slow-mo and super slo-mo have really boosted it's usability. I do sometimes get a little confused by the symbols and where to find certain settings, but the design is suoer clean and uncluttered. Highly recommended due to it's ease of use. It would be nice if the volume button was able to be used to capture video not only by touching the screen, or may be a "recording lock" so you could keep a hand free whilst recording..Version: 1.2.0

If you are experienced with two or more other production apps for posting short video content on social media, this app may not have features that suit you. These might be overlays, masking, higher level of title and text controls, such as animated or active morphing, or photo and video manipulation, such as exposure and integrated color retouching. To be clear, the preset color filters are many and super easy to view by swiping the screen to pan thru the entire set while not changing your window. The text, duration, recorder and added sound controls, and clip features are fabulous for their easy access and control. No pull downs, no hidden features and the app has a unassuming help feature that does its job. If you are looking for a fast editor that doesn't tie you up with tons of toggles and selections, this app is great. Movie clips around within the movie stream: easy and fast! You don't any mysteries about the flow. I can see this getting better because these people were thinking "user-friendly" more than complex. ✓ Keeps crashingBeen working great but my last video project keeps crashing when I attempt a playback. UPDATE: good dev support, crash issue has been fixed and I managed to recover my project. There’s a lot of filters to choose from and a lot ways to customize videos to make them exactly the way you want. ✓ Beautiful but....... A bit silly. A gorgeous app, don't get me wrong, the app is original in its design and layout, but the core element of taking video relies on you holding down on the screen continually, when taking video, this can be quite uncomfortable and does not make for the best video creations. The editing section is where it gets fun though, I would just say, that claiming you can film super slow mo, without using the native camera is a lie, it's still 30fps but slowed down in post, the result is a jittery mess and that feature should just be removed, if not adjusted to take the native slow mo recording api into account. The filters are nice and the build of the app is excellent but I'll stick to Splice and Videorama. Cheers..Version: 1.2.5
✓ Great app but some issuesReally love the app. I use it every day as a way to record my own personal daily vlogs. But there are times when I’m exporting that when it completes the ring it doesn’t do anything. It just waits. So I usually have to force close reopen then try again. Usually it’ll work again but gets frustrating waiting twice. The other thing is after recording a fairly long single clip (> 50 sec) there’s a bit of a delay before I can start recording again. Sometimes I immediately press to record but if it’s in the middle of that delay it doesn’t capture anything. So I end up wasting a shot. And the last issue I’d really love to have and been asking for a few years now is to have orientation lock. I shoot in landscape and because you don’t have a lock I need to keep my phone “orientation free” to accommodate Spark. It’s not a big deal most of the time except when I’m lying down on my side and everything rotates. So having a lock on the video orientation would be great. Otherwise great app!.Version: 3.5

✓ Why are our purchases not locked with our apple account?I have been a Spark user from around 2-3 years, it was too basic then but I picked it up. Now, I have upgraded from iPhone 6s Plus that I was using and I see that our early user purchases can’t be restored by clicking on “restore”. Is it not possible to link our OLD app purchase to our apple account so we can directly restore previous purchases without requiring us to reach out to support even when we change our devices? This would make it so easy for your users who invested in your app many years ago. You can follow the path of Bazaart, as early users we can restore our purchases even if change devices and we aren’t required to contact them.Version: 3.8.3

✓ Absolutely AmazingI adore this app and here are just a few of the benefits this has: - Cheap price - Great customer service - Quality app - Easy-to-use interface and many other amazing features. This is good for basic video editing but the only annoying thing is the watermark. A paid app should mean that the watermark should not even be a feature. I, personally, don't use that often because of the watermark. A paid app should mean that EVERYTHING is available and no exceptions. I definitely recommend buying this but the watermark is a big downer seeing as you have to pay more money just to remove it. Remove the watermark and increase the price of the app to save people from having to do that. I would like to request a refund as well..Version: 1.5.9
✓ The Only Video App I UseI have used this app for 5 years now, trying others as they came along. The rest got deleted, even the paid ones, but this one remains. It was not right away that I became comfortable with its minimalistic interface, but when I got used to it, it made sense and I actually like it now, because it is not loaded with options I never use. The concept is this: you create a “spark”, which is just a smart way of grouping related video clips together and working with them, editing, rearranging, adding transitions, music, etc, until you are ready to produce a video with merged clips. You can have as many “sparks” as you want, and go between them any time you want. A pretty looking app and a smart way of keeping all of your themed clips in one place. ✓ Sucks HardI was an early adopter... paid the $5 for the app... Now the developers are forcing me to pay a subscription to get what I paid for originally... The worst part about that is that there are many people’s $5 that bought in early to get this little app to a place where it could make subscription money and they threw us all under the bus. ✓ Festini says it’s great…So it must be. There are few things I would like to change or improve. First of all, I would like to be able to lock down one setting in the beginning. For some reason my recordings are either sideways or there in half speed. I want to set up my camera to record only one thing, high definition in a landscape mode, and I don’t want it to ever change, and for some reason it’s not that easy I know that the developer will probably give me easy solutions to avoid this like holding my camera in a certain position or touching a button ahead of time, but if I’m mentioning this, it’s because other cameras don’t force me to think before I shoot. I never shoot vertical so I’d love to be able to never have the option for it to automatically shoot vertical just because I’m holding the camera vertical or just slightly off angle..Version: 3.8.8

✓ Cute , easy and versatile!I downloaded the app when it was featured as the app of the week I believe a good while ago and fell in love. I removed it only because I had such little storage and it wasn't something I used often. It's such an amazing tool I couldn't help but buy it this time. Worth the .99 cents and additional filters within the app are also .99 cents. Totally worth every penny. You can add your own songs on iTunes, editing is super easy and I love the filters (kinda like the instagram pre-set ones)..Version: 1.6

✓ Fix this pleaseI love Spark. Have had it for a long time. Latest update broke it on my IPad Air 2. App opens in some weird zoomed-in off-centered configuration and was functionally unusable. (My iPhone XR and Air 4 still work.) I discovered on closing it out of background, restarting, that it behaved normally. ✓ My go-to vlog appI love this app so much. whenever my friends and I are out and wanna document our experience, this is the first app I open. it's a very simple layout and easy to navigate the app. and I absolutely love that it already strings the clips together for you (however u can customize it by adding a transition or changing the order of the clips). 10/10 I would highly recommend.Version: 1.6
✓ Handy but not quite as good as hopedI’ve tried this out recently on the recommendation of a really good marketer. It’s partly delivered on the promise of being able to record only when you have something to say and then stopping when you take your thumb off the button. It’s got a pretty interface which is nice but not critical. What I am less impressed with - editing clips is easy but not highly practical. Seems there is no way to pause a clip while editing - you have to subscribe to paid version to be able by I export over 60 seconds So if you want to do something super simple or love it enough to pay maybe it’s worth it. For simple videos shot on my iPhone I’m probably going back to iMovie. A little bit more cumbersome to assemble the clips but better editing and it’s free with my phone. Sorry spark camera. I love the quality of filming and the user interface but PLEASE add the ability to rotate a clip! Somehow some of my clips recorded horizontally but don’t match the rest of the clips in my Spark so there is black on either side of the clip when I watch them all in sequence. I thought I could download the individual clip and then reupload but I can’t, so that would be another great feature..Version: 3.2.6
