✓ Excellent purpose built appI've found Exacto to be an easy to use tool that makes very detailed cropping simple. There's a detailed guide presented the first time you launch the app that I found helpful, but maybe a bit unnecessary, as the interface is straightforward and intuitive. The developer is easy to contact, responsive and professional. In response other reviews claiming the app is difficult to use, I'd like to say I utterly disagree. I found the cropping process to be very easy. As you tap along the edge where you want the cut to be Exacto inserts line segments that are automatically connected. From there, if desired, you can zoom in and fine tune the edge to an incredible degree. A basic crop takes seconds, a detailed crop will take longer with adjustment time, but the level of detail you want for each crop is completely up to you. If you do any type of photo editing or combining, Exacto will be an excellent tool for you..Version: 1.0

✓ Excellent app to add to your photography repertoireI've been hoping for an app like this to come out for a long time, and I'm overall super pleased with it! It is a no-brainer purchase if you've ever needed to work with selection on the iPad, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Personally, I'd love to see two updates to this app. First, it would be wonderful to see an automatic selection tool added at some point, even if it's not perfect. Second, the app could greatly benefit from allowing the import and export of multiple files at the same time (Even if it has to be done through something like Workflow). Thanks for the awesome app guys and please keep up development! For the record, if the above tools were ever added, I would gladly pay a subscription fee to the app or any other alternative pricing model..Version: 1.0

✓ Great tool for isolating objectsThis is the best iOS app I’ve found for isolating images. Pretty straight forward to use but I’d recommend going through the tutorial screens if you don’t want to be scratching your head when you first use it. The concept of selecting an anchor point then dragging your finger elsewhere on the screen to manipulate the curve is genius for being able to clearly see what you are doing. I use PhotoShop on the Mac for cutting out but this is much more fun, easier and, for non-pros like me, actually more accurate..Version: 2.2

✓ AwesomeThe people giving this app one star do not understand vectors and how to work with them, SO IGNORE THEM WHEN THEY SAY IT IS HARD TO USE. This app is awesome, you can quickly remove elements from photos for collage etc. collage artists will especially love the simplicity and effectiveness of the app. The best part is you can adjust the points AWAY from your objects making it super easy for exact detailing. ✓ Love it!There’s a little learning curve, but once you’re accustomed it’s quick and accurate...The way it hugs curves and negotiates tight angles is much more accurate than the other erasers I’ve tried. It leaves a sharp edge, but gives you the option of feathering...which also comes in handy and makes a project look that much better. Great app!👍.Version: 2.1

✓ Easy and fun to learn!I am incredibly impressed with this app! I've had a hard time figuring out how to cut out pictures for ages, before even cell phones, and Exacto is the first and best teacher I've ever had. I have no math/logic skills, so vectors are not remotely intuitive to me, but for the first time I get it! ✓ Not a better masking app.It does one thing and it does it well. Mask. If you’re careful you can make the most supreme masks & they need not happen at once. Add. Subtract. Save to transparency PNG file so easy. Preview your work. Its all about vector curves. But beginners can use the vectors cos its simply two dots on your art and one in between to shape the curve. Do a 1000 if you like. Cant remember if i paid but as I mask all the time, i can easily say its better than any other masking app on the iOS. You only have one way to do it but its the best. You may need patience perhaps. Developers well done. One thing id like to see is an ability to hide the +/- point adding icons. They can get in the way. Perfect otherwise. @drzuum.Version: 2.3.1

✓ Thank You Immensely for the UpdateMy sincere thanks and gratitude to the developer of this wonderful application, for finally adding the multicolored line effect to the app. This is just great in my opinion and it's something I requested forever ago. Now when I'm working on fully white photos I can finally see the selection line okay. I'm so, so happy about this new feature and update and, again, I just want to thank this great developer a ton for listening to customers and implementing this vital new function, thank you. Outside of the update, though, I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing Exacto. It's one of my most used applications on my iPhone and I find it to be indispensable when I'm wanting to isolate and easily cut out items from photos or artwork. The way this beautiful app asks you to cut stuff out might seem different at first to new users. But, I can honestly tell you that once you familiarize yourself with how the cutting function works. Well, for me at least, it's about three times as fast in cutting out and isolating items in photos as compared to the usual background eraser app. I say this because those types of apps take so much more time I believe to get what you want cut out and often times you'll miss little pieces when erasing that become problematic later on. That's not even an issue with how awesomely I think Exacto works though. That's because in this app you're just drawing a line around what you want cut out, which you can feather the outline too, instead of spending so much time erasing around what you want to isolate and cut out. I really never would want to go back to background erasing applications after having the speedy simplicity of what Exacto offers. This app easily deserves 5-stars I believe and the developer, again, is just great I think because they listen to customers and introduce helpful and requested new features like in this most recent update. Which, thanks so much once again for this recent update, I could not be happier and more grateful for the fix too the selection line color. Thanks for all the hard work and time no doubt put into this awesome and innovative application over the years, Merry Christmas 🎄 😇 and God bless..Version: 2.5

✓ Cool AppGood job on this app. Does the cut out superbly. Pretty easy to pick up by going through the tutorial first. Haven’t seen a use for the magnet function yet as opposed to just adding more points. But, will test it more. For the reviews mentioning not being able to save to camera roll - this is a heads up for new users. When you try to export your very first project, you’ll get the typical permission prompt. Even when you tap to accept, that very first attempt gives you an error. But click to export again right after and it works just fine. So it’s just some quirk with the permissions step for me..Version: 2.5

It doesn’t use computer generated points, which work poorly when the background is a similar color, and instead allows you to manually (and very easily) decide where you want those cutout points to be.
