✓ You can’t add any video from your galleryI think it will be much better if you can add videos from your gallery. This app just allow you to record from the app and then play with the typo, so if you recorded a video without using their app, you can’t use it..Version: 1.91
✓ Limited Basic AppDon’t let the number of reviews fool you. This is a basic app that is no better then so many others that are a fraction of the cost. There is no way to justify the cost of this app and on top of it all, charge it as a subscription. Just search “text video” and you will find a dozen more for a few dollars one time cost. They hope you forget about apps like these and in a year end up with a reoccurring charge knowing you will cancel but by that time you would have spent $50.00 and for what? ✓ LOVE THIS APPI totally love this app. It makes your photos stand out so much more and catches the eyes of everyone. I love using it for photos I put on my IG stories or highlights. I do believe there could be more options and they should allow you to change the font on all letters because you may love “A” but want the font of “R”. They should also give you more color choices in my opinion they have the same colors over and over. Since the recent update I’ve also noticed that sometimes after saving my photo and leaving the app, the words don’t show up when I go to post on my IG so there’s still a few bugs that need to be worked out. Please Hype Type add the features I wrote above and make the app better with more features as recommended. I would’ve gave it 5 stars if the app had what I recommended above..Version: 1.5.2

✓ THIEVES, BEWAREI downloaded this app on the promise (via a pop up when the app loads) that it is a 7 day free trial. I gave my bank details assuming it would charge after the free period is over if I didn’t cancel before and BAM they took the money from my bank immediately. The paid version is NO different from the free one, I couldn’t even adjust the music timing. I cancelled immediately and have been told by Apple that it doesn’t quality for a refund. But why does the font not only fly by too fast (even at x.5 slowest setting with short sentences) but also why doesn’t the font last as long as the length of the video? This only allows a less than 30sec video and then the typed words only last half of that at a speed too fast to read. What am I doing wrong? I wasn’t able to use an entire 37sec video and even using four sliding-view separate word bubbles was tricky. Please someone tell me how to post a longer video with longer music and how to slow the words down to fit it. ✓ Missing ControlsAs of now the app gets a 1 Star because I can’t use it. I’ve reached out to support but have not received a response. Long story short, I don’t have a way of capturing a picture in the app (yes, I’ve allowed the app to access my camera) but if I use a picture in my photo roll I still don’t have a way to save text that I type. When I type in any text I have a trash can button which deletes what I’ve typed and a close out button which cancels any text typed and returns to the picture. I was even considering buying the app - but then on trying it out.... I saw the app would not proceed to show anything or cannot work or go to any screen unless it is given camera access. I later removed camera access thinking it should be able to work off the camera roll access but it was back to the initial screen requiring camera access. ✓ Downside: Changes the Colors of your ImageThe app functionality is great. I use this app to add flashy text that says “New Post” and sometimes music over an image I’d just posted on Instagram, so that I can upload this saved project into my Insta Stories and make people aware I just posted new content. The only down side to the app is that the app does no retain the colors of the image you import into it. It changes the colors to have a very purple/pink tone. I’m glad I’m not actually posting the project from this app onto my wall, so for now it will suffice for just a story post, but if I were using it for content on my wall, I’d trash the app. Also, it would be nice to have a “browse” function for music and that the music would ply longer snippets over the image. I love the effects and the music adds a very nice touch. Once you get past the automatic cropping ratio, this app is very useful. However, the new update forces you to pay $20 a year to remove the watermarks as well as locks some features. This wouldn’t be a problem if I had not already paid $3 before the update to remove the watermark and to use all the other effects. When I try and restore my purchase, the app will act like it ignores my request and has locked me out from removing watermarks. ✓ Photo Zoom Problems?I am not sure if this is just me but it definitely does not size photos well. Most pictures I put in don't fit properly or I'm forced to cut of part of the picture. I'd like to take pictures not directly on the app and have them go into the app and just keep them exactly how they are and add the type. ✓ Why remove the select an image feature?I have just paid for this app, and the latest update has meant that I can no longer use my own image to add the text to, I have to take a photo there and then. ✓ Missing something?So when I first downloaded this app I expected it to be easy to make a hype type thing but for some reason right when I’m done typing out my stuff on where it says “double tap to edit” I have no idea what to press to save and put it on my picture. So I tried looking it up to see if I wasn’t pressing the right thing and on everyone else’s phone they had a check mark thing with their hype type editing but I didn’t. ✓ Look good but ..This app looks great but the poor communication takes away from that. I purchased a subscription and both my subscription an Free trial did not update . I emailed the developer who has still not replied. I I’ll be deleting the app. Which is a shame as I had told my whole social media team to purchase. ✓ At first it was GREAT!I really loved the free version of the app. I have had it for years. Then I paid to remove the watermark and shelled out the $20 only to find out that the “upgrade” was a major downgrade. The app has been finicky ever since! Now when I add music it really distorts my video/photo. It also has a lag on videos. The and for $20 you only get access to maybe 3 additional text options. Honestly I feel like right after the upgrade they took out some of the text options that were supposed to be in the upgrade... EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Save your money. There are plenty of other similar apps that can do the same thing..Version: 1.94
